Typical Bavarian restaurant. Very well located in the city center. Large room with a warm atmosphere. Fresh food avoiding the opulence of frozen menus. Menu in English but not in French :) too bad but understandable so far in Bavaria but the waitress had the elegance to make the effort to remember a few words in French ;)

Super tasty trout. Tapas are also awesome. Staff quick and friendly. Price-performance is right

been to Gravenreuther again. Nice service. Roast crust was very good. Unfortunately, my companion's schnitzel was a convenience product and nothing was homemade. It's a shame because we asked specifically beforehand.

If Regensburg, then Gravenreuther. Unfortunately, we're just tourists, so we don't go to Gravenreuther that often, but when we do, we're as happy as Bolle. I reserved online every time. Once we had to cancel at fairly short notice (and we were a large table of 6 people). Then we tried again and I had reserved the wrong number of people than would have fit the text. The boss promptly called me to ask if I had made a mistake. Great service! We visited Gravenreuther once in summer and once in winter. In the summer (3 men), beer garden, beautiful, fast and warm service, nice boss and the food, a dream. My husband had the Bavarian tapas, Junior had a schnitzel and I had a crusty roast with 2 potato dumplings. It was super tasty. And the apricot schnapps or was it Mirabelle, it doesn't matter, Alpine schnapps and super delicious. In winter we were in the living room, great long table, everyone had space. The place was full but the waitresses were on point and the food was incredibly tasty. This time there were six of us. The food was again incredibly delicious, whether it was roast meat, salads or Munich schnitzel. Everything is simply tasty and the price/performance ratio is absolutely ok. Of course, when the room is full it gets louder, but we were able to chat at the table without any problems. You should also follow Gravenreuther on Instagram because they regularly do promotions. Be it fine dining or the Sunday evening discount on roasts so that nothing has to be thrown away. Mega action. Respect for food, that's how it has to be. We'll definitely be back! And if it's just to eat (we only drive about 1.5 hours one way 😁)

Went there spontaneously and easily got a table for 4 people, even without a reservation. The conditions were all super nice and fast too. The food was very tasty and everything was reasonably priced. Only the ambience wasn't really ours, it's very rustic and the view into the kitchen isn't all that pleasant. Toilets very clean.

We were welcomed very warmly, the service made a lot of effort. Hardly any waiting times between orders. An all-round perfect inn with Bavarian specialties. We'd love to come back. :)

Unfortunately, despite having a reservation, we had to wait 1 hour 30 for our food. It's a shame, because the service was very friendly and the food wasn't bad either. The extremely long waiting time without explanation or apology was a no go...

Wir haben heute eine Gaststätte in Regensburg gesucht für ein frühes Abendessen und haben uns für das Zum Gravenreuther entschieden. Und waren positiv überrascht. Wir saßen im Eingangsbereich im Torbogen und wurden freundlich und schnell bedient. Unsere beiden Gerichte haben echt gut geschmeckt und die Apfelkücherl als Dessert waren auch lecker. So soll es sein.

We used to visit the Gravenreuther Wirtshaus regularly and always had excellent food. After a long break, we are really looking forward to returning there. Unfortunately, we discovered that a lot has changed. We ordered a large salad and a roast pork. Unfortunately, both dishes did not meet our expectations. The meat of the roast was tough and the sauce had little flavor, being rather watery. We were a little disappointed, but thought that everyone can have a bad day. But during our stay we also had an unflattering view of the kitchen, which rounded off the experience. The cook or kitchen helper constantly put his fingers into the pots and then licked them and this was repeated several times. That was really unsavory and spoiled the overall impression. Even if the kitchen staff didn't leave the best impression, there are definitely positive things to mention. The waitresses were attentive, quick and extremely friendly.

We tried the German tapas. It was a nice tasting plate to get introduced to German dishes ! Service was amazing, and had no trouble with us being tourists. I absolutely don't remember the german name but there's a dessert, some short of pancake, that was god-like for people with a sweet tooth, trust me.

Really great staff, food and beer was both delicious. Good atmosphere as well, we ate Sunday night and lots of people in. Would go again if in Regensburg!

Leider war im Biergarten kein Tisch mehr frei und wir hatten nicht reserviert. So bekamen wir einen Tisch vor dem Restaurant in der Fußgängerzone, was uns aber sehr gut gefiel. Mit dem Rücken zur Hauswand konnten wir prima sitzen und das Leben in Regensburg beobachten. 😉 Der Service war bestens, das Essen war ausgesprochen lecker, das Bier kühl und frisch, die Preise moderat und die Stimmung super. Wir würden jederzeit wieder zum Essen hierher kommen.

For me one of the best pubs in the city! Schnitzel is highly recommended. They are also very child-friendly. If you are traveling with a stroller, there are a few steps.

We were told the kitchen was closing at 9:30 when we sat to have a beer at 9:00 — only to be told that it was now “cold food only” at 9:15. Terrible service, and unapologetic.

Very quaint and cozy inn with a small but good selection of food. The four of us stopped there spontaneously on our bike tour without a reservation. The service staff greeted us with a friendly smile and we were escorted to our table. The dishes were absolutely freshly prepared and consistently delicious. There is also a good selection of beer. It was a very nice and cozy evening there. Thank you for that.

We ate the Bavarian tapas (12 pieces for €24). Completely sufficient for 2 people. Very tasty, except for the onion rings, which had a strange underground taste. Lots of things we didn't know yet. Try it out! It is worth it .. We sat in the courtyard. Cozy, enough distance from other tables. The waitresses were extremely nice. The advice on choosing what to eat was very good. The beer was also very tasty!

Five of us spontaneously went to this restaurant for dinner yesterday. The waitresses were super nice, flexible and very accommodating. The dishes, across the board, are fantastic. We sat in the beer garden in the cozy backyard and really felt very comfortable. Will definitely be back next time I visit Regensburg 👍🏽

Top address for a cozy atmosphere and delicious food. You should have reserved in advance as the restaurant is always busy. There is a wide selection of different alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There is something for everyone on the clear menu, including vegetarian dishes. I would like to recommend the selection of Bavarian tapas to you! Small Magentrazerl as a starter or as a snack with beer or wine. The seasonal dishes on the daily menu are just as recommended as the tavern classics. Asparagus with homemade holondais sauce or melted butter, crusty roast with various side dishes or a Viennese-style schnitzel (tip: order cranberries with it) to name just a few. Long story short: Guad is gwen! See you next time!

Hervorragende bayrische Küche und saisonale Küche (ordentlicher Spargel + selbstgemachte Sauce Hollandaise). Aufmerksame und sehr freundliche Bewirtung. Uriges Ambiente. Genau so stellt man es sich vor, wenn man die Regensburger Altstadt erkundet. Faire Preise!

The food was good but not special either. You get good home cooking. Unfortunately, some of the fish had a strange aftertaste that could best be compared to "mud" or something similar, but that was only partly due to the fish rather than the preparation - there was nothing wrong with the preparation. The ambience was also ok, nothing special, nice and rustic and serves its purpose and is stable. The service was great, totally on point, gave good advice and had everything under control despite the hectic and busy situation. The complaints (about the drink) were resolved politely, smoothly and promptly. All in all, a short 4 out of 5 stars.

Nice economy as it should be cozy 👍🏼 What we noticed is that some dishes don't justify the price! E.g. 17.90€ for chicken cream slices with butter spaetzle, the taste wasn't that great! We've been there several times and it's always been tasty. 🤷🏼‍♂️

First of all I would like to say that we received a very friendly welcome. The service was very nice and attentive. The rooms were typically Bavarian and you felt very comfortable. The toilets were very clean. So the last good thing: The dishes were all of excellent quality. There was also nothing to complain about with the dessert. We recommend the restaurant in all respects.

If someone likes regional cuisine, this is actually the place. Very nice, professional service that meets customer expectations. I asked for mulled beer, but it's not on the menu. But that wasn't a problem. I was given a bucket with hot water in which the beer was warming... I recommend this place to visitors to Regensburg who don't necessarily want to eat pizza or kebab...

Very good place to go to dinner with family or friends. Excellent food and atmosphere. We had a very good dinner, well served dishes and we spent about 75 Euros. I add that although we ordered a dish for each one, we shared the dishes to be able to know the different options and it is definitely a place to return to.

**FOOD POISONING** I've been throwing up and in bed for 18 hours after my meal here. I can say for certain it was something there that caused it bc my partner is also very sick. The French fried onions I believe might have been the culprit as they were stale and bitter tasting.

Interesting starter snakes, quite popular among local residents, full of families spending their happy time here. The meat is juicy, interesting to try, different from those Bavarian dishes in Munich.

Schöne Lage, nur ein paar Gehminuten vom Bismarckplatz entfernt in einer kleinen Seitengasse. Dieses traditionelle Restaurant bietet überwiegend Bayerische Schmankerl und Leckereien aus regionaler Küche. Das Essen ist sowohl qualitativ als auch von der Zubereitung sehr gut und preislich für Regensburg ganz normal. Eine Reservierung ist sinnvoll, vor allem am Wochenende ist ordentlich was los.

Wir haben 2x den Pfefferrahmbraten mit gerösteten Knödeln und einmal mit Spätzle zum abholen bestellt. Portionen waren von der Größe auf jeden Fall sättigend. Wir sind leider davon ausgegangen dass es Rind ist, da wir das Gericht so nur mit Rind kannten. Zu unserer Überraschung war es dann Schwein. (Hätten natürlich auch nachfragen können) wir essen Schwein eher nicht so gerne. War trotzdem gut zubereitet und mega zart! Für mich waren es die perfekten Spätzle. Genau so wie sie sein müssen. Aber für meinen Geschmack hätte es einiges mehr an Soße sein dürfen. Und auch mehr Dressing am Salat. Für meinen Geschmack war da keins dran, mein Partner meinte er hätte schon was geschmeckt. Im großen und ganzen sehr leckere Hausmannskost!

Der Besuch im Gravenreuther war kulinarisch gesehen eine herbe Enttäuschung. Wir hatten dreimal das Schnitzel nach Wiener Art (mit Pommes) bestellt. Optisch und geschmacklich vermittelte es den Eindruck von Tiefkühlware, die in der Fritteuse zubereitet wurde. Auch die Pommes waren gerade so genießbar. Viel zu hart frittiert und scheinbar Billigware. Das ganze lieblos auf einen Teller geklatscht mit trockenem Zitronenviertel und einem Päckchen Ketchup oben drauf. Selbst in Autobahnraststätten oder im Schwimmbadkiosk erhält man das in einer besseren, appetitlicheren Variante. Das Ambiente ist nicht wirklich gemütlich, die Beleuchtung ist sehr grell. Wirklich schade für uns als Gäste, wir hatten uns auf den Gravenreuther gefreut.

We had a nice catered meal during a river cruise. Because of low water on the Main. We were forced to change ships and were unable to eat on our ship. We were served a very nice roast pork meal with a nice salad. I also had a very nice dark beer. Worth the stop.

So wie man sich ein bayrisches Lokal vorstellt. Deftig, herzlich, süffig, rustikal... Deftiges Essen, die typischen Gerichte. Herzliche, freundliche Bedienung. Süffig das Bier. Rustikal, die Einrichtung. Komme gern mal wieder.

Busy for a weekday night but the server was attentive and accomodating. The people behind us were loud, made it hard for conversation. We also had some random (possibly drunk guy) come to our table to force us to buy flowers. Being English speaking, we didn't understand so my sister stepped in and he got a bit heated when she told him we didn't want any. Not sure why the restaurant would allow someone like that inside. Food was quick and tasty.
