A truly lovely Bavarian inn with the perfect inn atmosphere. The food was excellent, the staff always friendly, although occasionally a bit overwhelmed by the large number of guests. And yet, we all received our food at the same time. A remarkable achievement for a group of ten. The Gravenreuther is definitely worth a visit.

As a group of five, we spontaneously reserved a table for Friday evening to celebrate a small occasion, and the service was very friendly and keen to accommodate us despite the many reservations. The food was delicious, classic Bavarian, and well-prepared. The cuisine is generally typical, good, traditional German fare. The restaurant is nicely located in the city, with a cozy atmosphere inside and outdoor tables where you can watch the city life. The prices are comparable to other traditional restaurants, but overall on the higher end.

It's better to say three times the number of reservations to avoid surprises. 25 is more than 20.

We had a table in the dining room, not in the restaurant, which was unfortunately fully booked. The service was first-class, and the Bavarian tapas were top-notch.

Overall, I recommend it. The food is delicious (if not spectacular), the location is good, and the interior is cozy (if a bit noisy). Prices have risen quite a bit in recent years, but unfortunately, Gravenreuther is no exception.

Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures. I had a venison ragù and my husband had the roast pork. We had a beer with it. Everything went perfectly.

Great food, not overly large portions, just right, and great, very friendly service!

I had planned my birthday party with around 80 guests at Gravenreuther in mid-September. Everything had already been discussed and confirmed with one of the two managing directors. However, six weeks before the event, they canceled the party via WhatsApp, claiming they had a better offer for that date. The beautiful ambiance and delicious food unfortunately couldn't make up for this unprofessional behavior.

It's wonderful here, an absolute dream. I'd love to come back! Highly recommended! <3

The Bavarian tapas, all 8 of them here, are very creative and delicious. I would give them 5 stars, but the Kaiserschmarrn portion was ridiculously small for almost €10, and a double espresso in a small mug is also a no-go.

It wasn't very busy. Maybe 10 tables. Everyone was waiting. After five minutes, no one came to bring us the menu, so we left.

Authentic, warm, and cozy. Everything was perfect. Gluten-free is no problem at all here. The waiters and waitresses are knowledgeable, and the kitchen is well-equipped.

Very good food at reasonable prices. Reservations are recommended, as it usually gets very busy, especially in the evenings.

This is a nice authentic Baverian restaurant. The beers were excellent. We both selected the Munich schnitzel which had an interesting mustard taste and was fluffy and tender. A wonderful German meal in Regensburg.

Anyone who enjoys Bavarian cuisine will find this the perfect place for the atmosphere, service, and, above all, the quality of the food. Highly recommended.

Very good and super friendly service, even when things get heated. The waitresses wear traditional costumes. The menu is large enough to find something delicious. The dishes come out quickly and are very good. The beer is from Arcobräu. No-show (even with fewer guests than originally reserved) is €25.

A place like we encounter all too rarely... From the moment I crossed the threshold, I was captivated by an atmosphere from another time. Here, everything exudes authenticity: the walls, the details, the soul of the place. You come in for a meal and stay for the experience. The dish was truly delicious, prepared with a skill that is evident in every bite. The warm and attentive service adds to the feeling of being a guest rather than a mere customer. A restaurant frozen in time, where every minute becomes a precious memory.

It was a very nice evening in a wonderful location. We arrived spontaneously and received a warm welcome. The beer garden is absolutely beautiful. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. A big compliment to the two hostesses, who were simply fantastic. We'd love to come back.

st eine alteingesessene bayerische Gaststätte. Sehr Zentrale Lage. Ohne Reservierung geht nichts oder lange Wartezeiten. Sehr freundliches und umsichtiges Personal. Ich hatte etwas Pech mit meinem Zwiebelrostbraten, es war eine sehr gute Fleischqualität, nur war die eine Hälfte Medium und die andere Well Done. Durch das scharfe anbraten, war das äußere trocken, man hätte es etwas ruhen lassen sollen und dann noch einmal in Butter, mit Knoblauch und Rosmarin, Arosieren sollen. Schade um das schöne Stück Fleisch, das kommt halt vor wenn eine Gaststätte so überlaufen ist.

Three of us came here for lunch on a Sunday and got a table without a reservation. I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and creamed savoy cabbage, everything well seasoned and very tasty! Thanks to the waitress who looked after us so well.

A Taste of Bavarian food in Regensburg. I was quite impressed by the authentic Bavarian cuisine! The moment I walked in, I felt like I was in Munich. The decor was traditional, the service was warm, and the food was incredible. Make a reservation for a traditional Bavarian experience.

Wir waren zu einer Zwischenmahlzeit hier im Biergarten. Unsere Wahl fiel auf die bayerischen Tapas. Eine tolle Idee, wenn man keinen großen Hunger mitbringt. Wir hatten 4 Tapas und alle haben gut geschmeckt. Dazu ein leckeres Arcobräu Helles unter dem Kastanienbaum. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Hier passt alles. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Good Upper Palatinate cuisine meets friendly and guest-oriented service

Eigentlich schreibe ich keine Rezessionen, aber in die Fall (schon lange überfällig) nahezu ein muss. Wir gehen seit Jahren regelmäßig zum Essen hin und was soll ich sagen JEDESMAL fantastisch!!! Das muss man erstmal schaffen. Ob zu zweit, in kleiner oder großer Gruppe oder Weihnachtsfeier rundum ein tolles Wirtshaus! Egal wie stressig, wir haben nicht einmal (!) ein schlecht gelauntes oder pampiges Personal gehabt und das in der heutigen Zeit!! Zum Essen: immer fantastisch gewürzt, einfallsreich, besonders auch die bayrischen Tapas. Egal ob Zwiebelrostbraten, Schäufele, Schweinebraten, Salat oder Käsespätzle immer auf den Punkt (Essen gern Zwiebelrostbraten und der Gargrad wurde noch NIE verfehlt!!) und von bester Qualität!! Hier bleibt nur eines zum sagen: Ein absolutes MUSS für jeden der die bayrische Küche mag!!! Liebes Team, macht weiter so!!!!

I don't actually write reviews, but in this case (long overdue) it's almost a must. We've been going there for dinner regularly for years and what can I say, EVERY TIME it's fantastic!!! You have to do that first. Whether as a couple, in a small or large group or for a Christmas party, it's a great pub all around! No matter how stressful, we never once (!) had a bad-tempered or snotty staff, and that in this day and age!! For food: always fantastically seasoned, imaginative, especially the Bavarian tapas. Regardless of whether it's onion roast, Schäufele, roast pork, salad or cheese spaetzle, it's always on point (I love eating onion roast and the degree of doneness has NEVER been missed!!) and of the best quality!! There's only one thing left to say: an absolute MUST for anyone who likes Bavarian cuisine!!! Dear team, keep it up!!!!

Typical Bavarian restaurant. Very well located in the city center. Large room with a warm atmosphere. Fresh food avoiding the opulence of frozen menus. Menu in English but not in French :) too bad but understandable so far in Bavaria but the waitress had the elegance to make the effort to remember a few words in French ;)

been to Gravenreuther again. Nice service. Roast crust was very good. Unfortunately, my companion's schnitzel was a convenience product and nothing was homemade. It's a shame because we asked specifically beforehand.

If Regensburg, then Gravenreuther. Unfortunately, we're just tourists, so we don't go to Gravenreuther that often, but when we do, we're as happy as Bolle. I reserved online every time. Once we had to cancel at fairly short notice (and we were a large table of 6 people). Then we tried again and I had reserved the wrong number of people than would have fit the text. The boss promptly called me to ask if I had made a mistake. Great service! We visited Gravenreuther once in summer and once in winter. In the summer (3 men), beer garden, beautiful, fast and warm service, nice boss and the food, a dream. My husband had the Bavarian tapas, Junior had a schnitzel and I had a crusty roast with 2 potato dumplings. It was super tasty. And the apricot schnapps or was it Mirabelle, it doesn't matter, Alpine schnapps and super delicious. In winter we were in the living room, great long table, everyone had space. The place was full but the waitresses were on point and the food was incredibly tasty. This time there were six of us. The food was again incredibly delicious, whether it was roast meat, salads or Munich schnitzel. Everything is simply tasty and the price/performance ratio is absolutely ok. Of course, when the room is full it gets louder, but we were able to chat at the table without any problems. You should also follow Gravenreuther on Instagram because they regularly do promotions. Be it fine dining or the Sunday evening discount on roasts so that nothing has to be thrown away. Mega action. Respect for food, that's how it has to be. We'll definitely be back! And if it's just to eat (we only drive about 1.5 hours one way 😁)

Went there spontaneously and easily got a table for 4 people, even without a reservation. The conditions were all super nice and fast too. The food was very tasty and everything was reasonably priced. Only the ambience wasn't really ours, it's very rustic and the view into the kitchen isn't all that pleasant. Toilets very clean.

We were welcomed very warmly, the service made a lot of effort. Hardly any waiting times between orders. An all-round perfect inn with Bavarian specialties. We'd love to come back. :)

Wir haben heute eine Gaststätte in Regensburg gesucht für ein frühes Abendessen und haben uns für das Zum Gravenreuther entschieden. Und waren positiv überrascht. Wir saßen im Eingangsbereich im Torbogen und wurden freundlich und schnell bedient. Unsere beiden Gerichte haben echt gut geschmeckt und die Apfelkücherl als Dessert waren auch lecker. So soll es sein.

We used to visit the Gravenreuther Wirtshaus regularly and always had excellent food. After a long break, we are really looking forward to returning there. Unfortunately, we discovered that a lot has changed. We ordered a large salad and a roast pork. Unfortunately, both dishes did not meet our expectations. The meat of the roast was tough and the sauce had little flavor, being rather watery. We were a little disappointed, but thought that everyone can have a bad day. But during our stay we also had an unflattering view of the kitchen, which rounded off the experience. The cook or kitchen helper constantly put his fingers into the pots and then licked them and this was repeated several times. That was really unsavory and spoiled the overall impression. Even if the kitchen staff didn't leave the best impression, there are definitely positive things to mention. The waitresses were attentive, quick and extremely friendly.

We tried the German tapas. It was a nice tasting plate to get introduced to German dishes ! Service was amazing, and had no trouble with us being tourists. I absolutely don't remember the german name but there's a dessert, some short of pancake, that was god-like for people with a sweet tooth, trust me.
