Weißes Rössl in Berlin

Zünftig bayerisches Lokal mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Die Preispolitik kann ich aber nicht ganz verstehen. Das leckere "Münchner Schnitzel" kostet z.Zt. 17,90€ und besteht aus 2 Schnitzeln mit Kartoffel-Gurkensalat plus Beilagensalat. Die s.g. "kleine Portion" davon besteht nur aus einem Schnitzel, kostet dann aber sage und schriebe 15,90€. Also gerade mal 2,-€ weniger. Ist das verhältnismäßig? Und wenn ich anstatt des Kartoffel-Gurkensalates lieber Bratkartoffel haben möchte, dann muss ich nochmal 1,-€ drauflegen, angeblich weil das bisschen Speck darin so teuer ist. Also beim nächsten mal dann doch lieber ein Doggybag machen lassen, wenn man die Portion nicht schafft.

The food was top and everyone really enjoyed it. If you like Bavarian cuisine, this is definitely the right place for you. The restaurant itself is very rustic and reflects the theme. I can definitely recommend the restaurant.

Extremely bad experience. We got a table, with no time restrictions. Nevertheless, shortly after we started eating, we were told to leave quickly because of a reservation. We said we needed some time. The man didn't apologize, even said that we shouldn't come back. Incredible.

I was recently traveling in Berlin. May aunt and uncle took me out for lunch at one of their favorite restaurants. This was without a doubt a highlight of my trip. The menu offers Bavarian dishes. I ordered the pork knuckle dinner and my uncle order a Wiener schnitzel. Both meals were absolutely outstanding! A tremendous selection of high quality beers made for a perfect meal and a very special desert that is not readily available in most German restaurants. The atmosphere is off the charts cool, authentic and a throwback to a different town. They have a good size patio as well. I would highly encourage you to find this place and order some of their specialties. Quality, home cooked meal at a reasonable price and incredible portions. It boasts to be one of Berlin’s first German pubs. In highly recommend this place.

top beer garden and delicious hearty food

Eat tops! Unfortunately service wasn't that great. Maybe it was because the store was extremely full. Our empty plates were still in front of us after almost an hour and unfortunately no one cared about our empty drinks. One can only hope for improvement here!

We've been going to the Rössl every now and then for years... the food has always been good and filling. It's not exactly cheap in terms of price, but the Maultaschen soup is really beyond the price-performance ratio. For 6.50 euros there is a soup (broth with greens) with ONE Maultaschen in it. For 6.50 euros I can easily get 3 packs of 18 Maultaschen in the supermarket. For me, the price asked simply doesn't match the taste. Otherwise, as always, super nice service, rustic and cozy atmosphere.

Great food and very rustic and nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, we almost died of thirst and no one wanted to clear away the plates we had eaten. Most of the 16 guests would probably have had dessert, but they would have had to wait longer for someone. I don't believe. You can definitely do better as a team. Greetings Stefan Mauer

We went to this wonderful Bavarian restaurant for the first time today. Very authentic. The staff is very friendly and competent. The food is very tasty, delicious and plentiful and matching drinks can also be found on the menu. Of course also Bavarian beers and spirits. We had liver dumpling soup, roast pork with dumplings and Bavarian cabbage. And for dessert, Kaiserschmarrn. Highly recommended. There are only a few parking spaces available on/on the street. We will be visiting there again soon.

Quaint atmosphere, super friendly service, delicious food

Now I've been here several times and can say that the knuckle has a consistent and incredibly good quality. The Donisl in the center of Munich should perhaps inquire about how a good knuckle is prepared...unfortunately I have been disappointed by knuckles many times in my life 😅 most recently in Munich 🤷‍♂️ That was even the worst knuckle in my entire life Life!! Thanks now to the best knuckle in my life - in Berlin. I had no hope anymore😉 Of course other dishes also taste great 😅 Best Bavarian beer👍 I like being here!

Super rustic Bavarian beer hall with good food and great beer. Nice service, nice beer garden outside and really rustic inside. Toilet clean. Special requests will be fulfilled. I'm here for the 12th time! Again and again.

We were there for the first time. The service is very quick, polite and attentive! The food and drink offering is extensive. The prices are a little higher, but the portions are also very large. There is also an offer of small portions! There are plenty of shaded seats in the beer garden. There are special themed offers on weekdays. The restaurant is recommended. Sept. 2024: have been here several times and would love to come back!

Very nice restaurant...service super nice and funny! Unfortunately the pork knuckle didn't turn out well...no crispy rind that you would expect, but too expensive! The waiter's tip, say something straight away...I'll take it to heart next time! Pork schnitzel, good! Were there with 8 people...

Fun and friendly staff. The food is plentiful and very tasty and freshly prepared. I like going there with the family. The ambience is immediately reminiscent of a good old Bavarian restaurant. The menu is large but still clear and focused on Bavarian and Austrian specialties. Always happy to stop by there and two thumbs up!

Unfortunately, the food we ate on our evening was mediocre. The knuckle could be crispier, the schnitzel had a lot of mustard and little horseradish (my thought), the potato salad lacked a personal touch. No matter, the waiter was great and next time the kitchen will be at full throttle again. If the drinks were a little cheaper, I would drink one more light beer.

Very tasty, authentic Bavarian food with large portions. The waiters come quickly and can help with menu questions. The ambience is nice. You can sit outside or inside in a rustically furnished room. The only not-so-great things are the noise level, which rises quickly inside, many of the pictures hanging in frames at an angle, and the floorboards creaking.

Update 2023: This time everything worked out and we even got the regulars' table! Many thanks to the Rössl team. We'd love to come back! Of course the food was great again! 2022: All in all a great restaurant. Unfortunately, you get a star deducted because, despite reserving a table >4 weeks in advance, the table A) was not prepared and B) In the end, two of our guests had to sit with their table in the middle of the aisle.

The restaurant has a great beer garden, which is great to sit in. The interior is sometimes quite narrow and the furnishings don't really suit my taste. Unfortunately, the food has deteriorated significantly; back then there were great portions at a fair price. Unfortunately, today you can see that this restaurateur has also joined the practice of raising prices and lowering quality. I am aware that prices have to increase. But if you save on quality at the same time, you will lose guests. It's a shame, but I always liked going there.

Yes, my, it's Gaudi's turn. Bavaria at it's best: cozy atmosphere, friendly and prompt service and, above all, hearty Bavarian dishes, super tasty and served in large portions. All of this at moderate and reasonable prices. If you haven't eaten knuckles with dumplings and Bavarian cabbage here, you can't help it. Just great.

Yes, somehow something was missing... there was a salad with the dish but it wasn't there... the dessert was also over-sweetened... and then an early dismissal.

Service, food are really good. It's a small but definitely worthwhile journey through time. Anyone who expects high-tech in the dining room should better go to MC....🫣. This restaurant has existed for many, many decades and has done a great job of preserving the original furnishings and the charm of the time.

Unfortunately I'm a little disappointed. A long hair in the dessert, a meal brought incorrectly, small portions and our friends who came a little later were ignored by the service. They had to get up to ask the waitress to come to our table to order their drinks. There were 9 of us and we won't be coming back any time soon

We were there spontaneously and left the restaurant with enthusiasm. We had asparagus and schnitzel, which was very tasty. We'll definitely be back to try out the actual menu!

Everything was great, one star deducted because of the size of the knuckle, as a Berliner I'm used to something different. For the tip for the waitress, it is better to tip not 4.90 but 5.10. This increases the tip.

The menu included typical dishes from the Allgäu, Austria and Switzerland that tasted good. The prices are rather above average. The service was quite friendly. The restaurant is furnished in a country, rustic style. However, the seating in the restaurant is not very comfortable. The typical wooden benches and chairs are lined with seat cushions but are still very hard. It's enough to eat. If you want to sit with friends for a longer period of time, I personally wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

I am very disappointed, great restaurant, nice staff and rustic atmosphere. I've eaten there very often. But what I was offered on my last visit, sorry, was 6 with 5 stars. I ordered a knuckle at 1 p.m. When this came I couldn't believe my eyes. First of all, it was maybe 500 g, so extremely small. But that wasn't enough, the knuckle was left over from the day before and was extremely baked again so that the meat was dry, nothing soft or fresh... It's a shame, the restaurant doesn't really need that and it scares away customers. We won't be spending our next birthday there Addendum... After a year in full hope that the last visit was a blip, we went there again for dinner with the family. Unfortunately, this visit was again very disappointing. Roast pork overcooked. Taste left a lot to be desired, side dishes, even fried potatoes, dumplings, cabbage, cold and bland, very, very unfortunate.

We are from the neighborhood and have been regular customers for years, either on site or for take away. Basically, we were always satisfied and often ordered food even during Corona times to support the store. Unfortunately, I'm noticing that the store is gradually declining. We ordered takeaway yesterday. As a rule, we always have the schnitzel three times with potato salad and I always have the knuckle with sauerkraut. Since I don't like eating the dumpling, I always say that I don't want it or alternatively, depending on what I feel like, I use fried potatoes. Yesterday I chose fries as an alternative side dish because my 2 year old daughter wanted to eat them. When we picked it up, people made fun of who would choose the fries for the knuckle.... In addition, the knuckle was carelessly thrown onto the fries in a plastic bowl. So the fries were more mashed potatoes and the knuckle was more wobbly than crispy. (Otherwise the knuckle is always served separately in aluminum foil!) Then the sauerkraut and the sauce were forgotten... The schnitzels are getting smaller and smaller... As I said, we've always been happy, but yesterday was the last straw... I was really upset and disappointed and I probably won't eat here again or order take-away. It's too expensive for that!

I was there in the evening with my friend. The ambience is pleasant and appropriate. The service staff are very nice. The food was very tasty and the price-performance ratio was also good. I can only recommend. I had two dark beers, Wiener-style schnitzel and an apple strudel.

This is a fantastic Bavarian Restaurant. It has been here since 1938. The Food was outstanding. We did not have a Reservation but where able to get a table. It is advisable to make a Reservation.

Unfortunately the fries were only lukewarm. When I asked how big the portion of side fries was, I got a curt answer that she (the employee) didn't know herself. A pity.

Very friendly, open-minded service. Many dishes are freshly prepared directly from the raw materials (e.g. Kaiserschmarren) and therefore sometimes require a waiting time of 20 minutes to 50 minutes (if the kitchen specialties are more frequented). So order early. The seating is rustic, but people with known back problems bring their seat wedge or ring with them anyway... those who know about it - on their next visit. The food and hospitality are worth it. Gladly again soon!

Great rustic atmosphere, friendly service and really great food. Two Munich schnitzels with a brilliant mustard breading, so fluffy with cucumber potato salad and a small salad on the side for €18. Not only was it a treat, it was also a large portion and, in my opinion, very good value for money! Plus really delicious fresh beers on tap from Bavaria. My parents' roast pork was super tender with a great black beer sauce. Thank you for the lovely evening, we will definitely be back soon!

Guests have had breaks for many years because the food is no longer as tasty as Fritz's and is becoming more and more expensive. New attempt today, unfortunately disappointing, I had a Franken plate, some of the cheese was burnt and the rest was too hard. My husband had salad with tuna, the portion was like an appetizer and there was no bread. Conclusion getting worse but very expensive.
