Perfect pork knuckle, delicious, well-behaved beer, friendly and attentive service.

The ham hock was dry, with a moderately tough, dry skin. As for the service, well, maybe I'm used to something different. As for the ambiance, there are a handful of malformed trophies hanging on the wall, but otherwise, everything was lacking in love. Perhaps the chef should order a ham hock from somewhere else and then change things up. All in all, we won't be back, and I advise everyone to avoid this disappointment.

We visited Hax'nwirt and can highly recommend it. We had Leberkäse (meatloaf) and a medium-sized knuckle of pork, both of which were delicious. The portions are generous but not overly so, leaving you feeling pleasantly full. A particularly positive aspect: the beer selection perfectly complements the hearty food. The service also deserves praise – attentive, friendly, and fast, without being intrusive. So, if you're looking for authentic Bavarian or Southern German cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place to go. A definite recommendation!

We had high expectations, but were disappointed. The Obatzda was too cold and the Schweinebraten smelled off. The service was friendly, but too slow. It took an hour for the main course to be served. Of course, we skipped dessert.

Today wasn't the first time I've had a good meal, received excellent service, and been warmly welcomed. I could fall in love with the staff all over again. I'm looking forward to the next time. I really enjoyed my knuckle of pork for my wife's silver wedding anniversary, which she had shoulder of pork, along with our dog (who was immediately offered water)! A special day is coming to an end, and the Hax'n Wirt has once again added something special to it. I definitely recommend it. Go eat here and let yourself be pampered by the ambiance, the delicious food, and the fantastic staff! For me, today's visit to the Hax'n Wirt was perfect in every way. We'd love to come back! This is a really great restaurant. The prices are reasonable. It has a strong German feel (German locals come here to drink beer, and the owner has a very Germanic atmosphere), so those who prefer modern food might not like it, but it's also very friendly to foreigners. Besides us, there were other Chinese students taking up a table. I'd love to visit again next time I visit Berlin!

*Simply top-notch – like it used to be and even better!* We (4 adults and 2 children) were completely satisfied! Finally back here after a long time – and it was a real hit. The staff was exceptionally friendly, the food was an absolute feast for the palate, and the beer was simply delicious! Everything tasted just like it did 25 years ago – if not better. A real recommendation, especially compared to the "big names" like Augustiner or Hofbräuhaus. Everything is just perfect here – atmosphere, quality, and hospitality. Please keep up the good work – we'll be back very soon!

Do you know that feeling when you've eaten your fill and the food still tastes good? I can really recommend the restaurant. Here you will be provided with all the delicacies your heart desires by very friendly waitresses. Really very good!

Definitely recommended. The service was really attentive. The portions were so large, I couldn't finish them all, but it was still delicious until the last bite. I didn't even need a knife to cut the juicy meat off the shoulder. The trophies and artifacts fit the Bavarian food theme well, but could use some updating, hence one star deduction (but I also have higher standards than usual).

A Berlin institution that probably makes most Bavarian pork knuckle roasters look old. Be sure to reserve the knuckle (including size) in advance. The only drawback is Schäufele without a crust (because pork chops are preferred)

Super nice ambience, nice service and delicious, rich food. I had beef roulade with red cabbage and dumplings. Unfortunately no picture was taken, but the plate was empty after eating.

I had the medium haxe, it was very good. I was not able to finish it though. Next time, I am getting the small one.

The Haxenwirt at Hohenzollerndamm 185 is simply unbeatable! Our Sunday round was back and, as always, everything was perfect. The knuckles – an absolute dream, crispy on the outside, tender as butter on the inside. There was also a coleslaw that was simply perfectly balanced with its freshness and delicate spice. The cool beer, freshly tapped, completed the moment of enjoyment for us - that's when you realize that quality counts here. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make every visit an experience. If you love Bavarian specialties, this is the right place for you. Absolute recommendation for a piece of real tavern feeling in Berlin!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of dining with friends at Hax'nwirt. We had pre-ordered duck and pork knuckle, both of which were excellent. The rustic ambience exudes cosiness and the service is friendly and courteous.

Menu is totally unnecessary. No matter what you choose, everything tastes good.

The restaurant is decorated in the style of a Bavarian restaurant. Rather a bit old-fashioned. The waitresses, on the other hand, were very young and very friendly. However, hardly on the guest. So there was a lot of waiting between orders. The knuckles had to be ordered in advance and were all very good. Regarding the duck, on the other hand, it must be said that the cooking time was hours longer. Maybe it was from the day before. An over-salted marinade also made them inedible.

As usual, the food was very tasty and the price-performance ratio was absolutely ok. Gladly again

Yesterday we stood in front of a closed door with 30 people! After a funeral service we rented a room, food and drinks included. There are no words for it, just bad!

Not suitable for children - According to the service, smaller portions for children are not possible - Shank size is determined idiosyncratically by the service. You pay per 100g and the service person should simply let you know how many grams are available. According to the service there was a medium-sized knuckle, but in the end there was a huge knuckle, without any questions or information. The hunger wasn't that great and the knuckle ended up in the trash. If we had received feedback beforehand, we would have ordered a different dish.

The restaurant *Zum Hax'nwirt is located at Hohenzollerndamm 185, in 10713 Berlin. In this respect, this is a cozy inn, with bear furniture, a fireplace, and terrace. Alpine cuisine and Bavarian beers are served here. I recently drank good beers here and ate a beef roulade. Both were very delicious. I was there with friends. Good food and great service. You almost feel like you are in Bavaria. (I can say since I lived there for many years)

Very tasty 😋 food and good to very good portions for very reasonable prices. Nice and appealing ambience and friendly service, who always has a good saying on their lips. Went there as a group, definitely make a reservation and also the knuckle! It was a good hour before the food arrived, but it was also full 🤷‍♂️. That's also a good sign. Knuckle very crispy, everyone who ate it was thrilled. I chose roast pork, very good choice, was very tasty 😋 and plentiful. All in all a lovely evening, we can only recommend it.

Crispy, tasty knuckles, priced perfectly ok (based on weight, my medium one cost around 20 EUR), nice staff. I had already told your staff: If you were to offer a real Franconian Schäufele (with crust!) in addition to Haxn, then I would become a regular customer :)

It was our first time visiting and we found the food quite good. It could have used a little more salt and spices (but that's a matter of taste), but everything was very fresh and very tasty and nicely prepared (see pictures). But it would be really cool if you had salt and pepper on the tables outside. The absolute hit and an absolute must was the “chocolate cake with a heart” with a liquid chocolate center. After the first bite I basically melted because of the chocolateiness 😄 super delicious ❤️ you should definitely try it as dessert. If you like chocolate, you'll get your money's worth here.

I've known the Hax'nwirt for many years (at least 20) and it is still the crispiest and tastiest knuckle. The service is friendly, funny and open to having fun. Thank you very much.

The best knuckle we have eaten! We were lucky and were able to pre-order 3 knuckles. The crust was fantastic, just as you imagine it in your dreams, and juicy on the inside 😋 The roast pork and the side dishes were equally delicious. The two ladies who served us were also super friendly and humorous. In any case, we will do ourselves a favor and not eat any knuckle anywhere else for the next few years 🙂 We say thank you for a really nice evening

Was here as a tourist. A perfect roast pork, large portion. I recommend 👌

There were four of us there. Everyone took a different meal. 2 small Maultaschen with salad 15.90, The knuckle was left and that's what it looked like. Scorched, rock hard and dry. Unfortunately the dumplings are also very firm. The others had a little more luck, but definitely not value for money. A pity

One of the best pork knuckles I've eaten so far

Very rustic furnishings, suitable ambience! Nice service and hearty food. I treated myself to the knuckle. The fat layer was very crispy, a little too crispy for me. The bread dumpling was very thick, a bit dry. The sauerkraut was good. All in all a solid restaurant with a great atmosphere.

The best thing is Jenny, the perfect service but the menu and drinks are also really very good

We invited our brother and sister-in-law, who had lived in Munich for a long time, to eat pork knuckles. We were all very impressed by the friendliness of the service and the quality of the food. Very tasty meat, great dumplings, fresh beer - everything was perfect. Rustic furnishings, hearty ambience without any frills. Prices reasonable. Clear recommendation! A little note: The big knuckle is really something for those who are very hungry.

Really good and friendly. One of the few restaurants where the Corona rules are adhered to and the vaccination status is checked!!! Here you can safely protect yourself from infection.

Very friendly service, world-class pork chops, but you always have to make a reservation, it's not possible to go out to eat spontaneously, which of course speaks for the store.

Waren mit einer 6er Runde dort. Hatten extra vorbestellt. Nach 1 Stunde kamen: Haxen, Schäufele, Eisbein, Spätzle, Sauerkraut, Knödel, Flädlesuppe, Biere, alles hat gut geschmeckt. Nur die beiden dutzenden Servicekräfte machten trotz nur 3 besetzten Tischen, einen überforderten Eindruck, der dann noch über eine Zusatzzeche auf unserer Rechnung zum mathematischen Ausdruck gebracht wurde. Fazit Essen gut, Service ausbaufähig. Werde der Wirschaft trotzdem eine neue Chance geben, weil der Service bei einem früheren Besuch perfekt war.

Beste Haxn außerhalb Bayerns. Leckeres Bier. Ergänzung: Stimmt leider nicht mehr. Haxe ist nicht mehr gut. Sauce ist aus der Tüte. Bier ist immer noch gut. Service immer noch gut, aber überfordert. Bedienungen müssen auch Bier zapfen, daher natürlich entsprechende Wartezeiten.

Absolut empfehlenswertes Restaurant. Ambiente ist in die Jahre gekommen aber irgendwie hat das auch Charme gepaart mit der Berliner Mundart der Kellnerinen und dem Super leckeren Haxen. Meine Jungs fragen jedesmal wenn wir drann vorbei fahren wann wir wieder Haxen essen gehen können
