Waldschlösschen in Schortens

We love visiting the forest castle with our children. There are lovely opportunities for the children to play in the large garden and the Waldschlösschen definitely has the best fries in the area!

An absolute must if you are nearby. Very tasty food and great service

The heart and cerebral infarction SHG celebrated its first anniversary today in the “Waldschlösschen”. The breakfast buffet, including the champagne reception, was sensational, very rich, always freshly made, and everything was easy to reach even for people with walking difficulties.

Good morning! Today we went to the Waldschlösschen with 15 people for the premium breakfast. Food very tasty, service very friendly and accommodating. Freddy was very nice and his promises were 100% true. Very happy again.

We had very good Frikandel after a bike tour. Staff super nice. Mayo from Holland, super tasty. Fries great. What more could you want, we'll be back.

We just ate in the Waldschlösschen. The food was very good, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant. The fact that the music didn't suit our taste took a small toll on the taste. An unreserved recommendation!

We had dinner in the restaurant yesterday. The food was very tasty and the service was super friendly. Unfortunately, the innkeeper seemed very unprofessional because he loudly made trouble for his staff in the dining room and then in the kitchen, so that you could hear it throughout the entire restaurant... We found this very unpleasant.

Yesterday we went to the breakfast buffet in the Waldschlößchen in Addernhausen with a total of 12 people. The buffet is very varied and rich. The service ladies are very friendly and the boss greeted us personally. He is very open-minded and humorous. Thank you for the lovely morning.

Edit: since the team changed it hasn't happened anymore. And it smells awful of feces and stale sewage. Smells like an old burst pipe in sewage. Never again. The Waldschlösschen impresses above all with its committed and competent service staff. Charismatic and friendly, they are always attentive and read your every wish. This way you feel really comfortable and can enjoy the evening. The food was very tasty. I would like to see a few more fresh, sophisticated dishes and, above all, side dishes (e.g. potato salad or a risotto). I found it very positive that there was a small, very tasty salad with the main course. We'd love to come back!

1 person out of 8 was less. The innkeeper said we should let you know in advance. That was the case last time too. I think that's a bit exaggerated.

I think you have to be able to revise bad reviews. Were there again yesterday. The service was quick and friendly and the food looked delicious. We only had a drink there so I can't judge the taste, but those who ate there were thrilled.

Not worth a star!! 1 milk coffee only half inside .....not even homemade from the small piece of bee sting 4.60...🙄 1 time never again .It's a shame that the previous owners are no longer there......

Our recent visit to the Waldschlösschen in Jever was a real treat. We were lucky enough to have a meal there with the whole family and it was an experience we won't soon forget. The food was excellent. We were served platters of lots of different meats and vegetables, almost like a buffet, right at our table. Everyone could choose as they wished and there was something for every taste. The service was very friendly and helpful. They made us feel comfortable and welcome. What was particularly impressive was that both the boss and the cook introduced themselves personally and asked whether we liked the food. This personal touch made our visit even more special. I would like to thank you very much for the great experience and I am already looking forward to the next time. The forest castle in Jever gets a clear 5-star rating from me. A visit is absolutely recommended!

Breakfast was good, but not cheap - €48 for 2 people. The staff was overwhelmed with obtaining and redeeming a voucher. Where we sat the walls were in slight need of renovation. Conclusion: We won't do it again. But the breakfast itself was ok.

I have breakfast there once a quarter, it's always nice to be there and the offering is very extensive

Very nice restaurant. Super Service. The staff is super friendly. We were there with a dog, there was not only water but also treats for the dog. Always my pleasure.

We were there for dinner with 11 people on February 24th, 2024. Of these, 8 people ate kale and 3 people ate a la carte. The kale food can be described as “excellent”. You have to search for some time to find something equivalent! The 3 dishes that were selected from the menu can also be described as top. Great class! You have to be convinced by the ambience of the restaurant, it is a bit “rustic”. The toilets could use a renovation. All in all, a recommendable location, with very friendly staff and an extremely open-minded innkeeper. We'd love to come back!!!

Wir hatten ein Tisch für zwei reserviert. Als wir pünktlich ankamen war der Tresen unbesetzt und mehrere Mitarbeiter gingen wortlos an uns vorbei und beachteten uns nicht weiter. Als wir eine Dame ansprechen reagierte diese recht genervt, versprach aber sich zu kümmern, was aber lange dauerte. Gerade als wir beschlossen hatten wieder zu gehen, teilte man uns einen Tisch zu. Nach ebenfalls geraumer Zeit nahm man die Getränke auf, die nach einer gefühlten Ewigkeit kamen. Auf das Essen (2x Burger mit Pommes) warteten wir eine geschlagene Stunde. Ebenfalls langwierig war die Möglichkeit endlich zu bezahlen. Also das Essen war wirklich lecker aber der Service stimmte zumindest an diesem Abend überhaupt nicht.

Vielen Dank für dieses tolle Erlebnis. Service, Essen und Ambiente super. Wenn wir mal wieder in der Gegend sind, sehr gerne wieder.

Wie immer sehr nette Bedienung.Essen wie immer sehr gut. Hatte diesmal die Antipastiplatte und als Dessert den Apfelstrudel.

Die Atmosphäre sowohl im Restaurant als auch draußen (bei gutem Wetter) ist angenehm. Das Essen ist schnörkellos und ausgezeichnet. Jederzeit, gerne wieder.

Heute Nachmittag da gewesen und absolut begeistert, vorallem vom Essen! Das Personal war zwar etwas unterbesetzt, hatte aber stets gute Laune und Sympathie an den Tag gelegt. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Wir waren heute Nachmittag hier und haben einen kleinen Boxenstopp eingelegt. Das Essen, sowohl Fischteller als auch die holländischen Biergarten Spezialitäten, sind vom Preis/Leistungsverhältnis überragend. Kommen gerne wieder!

Waren am Samstag im Waldschlösschen zur Gast. Das Frühstücksbuffet war der Hammer! Sehr reichhaltig, wir kommen gerne wieder ☺️

Heute dort mit guten Freunden zu Abend gegessen . (Grillbuffet satt) Das Fleisch war super lecker und perfekt gegrillt dazu leckere Soßen, Pommes , Überbackene Kartoffeln , Nudeln , Gemüsepfanne,verschiedene Dips und Salate . Alles sehr schmackhaft . Man fühlt sich sehr wohl.. schönes Ambiente mit großer Außenterasse und einem Minispielplatz für die kleinen. Alles ein bisschen Familiär nette Gastgeber . Auch das Frühstücksbuffet kann ich nur empfehlen .

Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Portionen sind reichlich. Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Reservierung ist empfehlenswert.

Ich hatte Scholle war leider nicht gewürzt und schmeckte dadurch nicht. Vorspeisen gab es keine mehr. Sauberkeit fand ich auch nicht ganz so toll.

Sehr lecker gegessen, nettes Personal. Standen auf dem kostenlosen Wohnmobilstellplatz direkt neben dem Restaurant. Ideal für Hundehalter, da man direkt am Wald steht. Kommen gerne wieder wenn wir in Jever sind.

Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut, sowohl Frühstück als auch das Abendessen. Location ist sehr schön. Speziell im Sommer mit der großen Terrasse sehr einladend!

Unfassbar, dieses Restaurant wirkt zwar unscheinbar, doch das Essen war der Wahnsinn. Wir hatten einen Burger und Schnitzel und beides war sehr lecker. Dazu gab es jeweils einen köstlichen Salat. Für das leibliche Wohl und als Verdauungshilfe können wir nur den „Hausgemachten“ empfehlen.
