The ambiance isn't really coherent. The service was completely OK.

Sadly, I have to say I've never had a more flavourless Rigatoni alla Arrabbiata. No parmesan on top, no salt even. The oil also didn't taste like extra virgin olive oil. I expected more given the price. Probably they can get away with it though, because there are no other Italian places around. I was waiting for my food to go and at least I received it fast (there was no one around), so the two stars are for that. Be aware that they accept cash only.

We received excellent and friendly service, and the food was absolutely fantastic. We'll be back again and again.

I particularly like the small exhibition with the seascape paintings. It's beautifully staged. We sat outside during a thunderstorm, and it was truly lovely. I also think it's great that you're not allowed to smoke outside! It didn't bother me to go outside for that.

It's a good restaurant. No better or worse than other Italian restaurants. My husband and I had a lovely time there, were full, and enjoyed the food. Therefore, I recommend it.

We were seated immediately and had our food within 15 minutes of ordering. The service was polite and very prompt. The food was okay, but not outstanding!

I came alone today, and it was my first time at Vista Mare. The service was simply fantastic! I was allowed to sit outside in the front row, all by myself, at a table for six, although I would have understood if that hadn't been possible. The staff, and especially the chef that evening, were extremely friendly and accommodating; the vegetarian vegetable pizza was one of the best I've ever eaten: so much vegetables and six different varieties, generously topped! That's rare! It was wonderfully seasoned and had a delicious base! Perfect! And a delicious rhubarb spritzer to go with it! Delicious, very good food combined with outstanding customer service, which is hard to beat, made for a truly wonderful end to a day of vacation in Haffkrug! Thank you so much for that!

The term "meat platter" is inappropriate for three pieces of meat that weren't even hand-sized. The taste was okay. It came with fries. The price of €29.90 is unjustified. The daily special, Rigatoni Broccoli, was okay, but not particularly tasty. The portion sizes for both dishes were not sufficient. Unfortunately, very disappointing for a first visit.

Nice Italian restaurant, at first glance. The waitress was prompt and brought the memory cards, but they didn't ask if we wanted something to drink. We had barely opened the cards when the waitress returned to the table and wanted to take our order. When we said we'd like to take a look, the order was practically forced into our mouths. Furthermore, the waitress seemed too fake and friendly. The food was delicious, but it didn't rise above the level of a fast-food pizza restaurant. Unfortunately, the price was higher. But of course, these are our experiences and opinions, so everyone can form their own opinion.

I can recommend it, friendly, food delicious.

Absolutely nothing special. We had pasta, pizza, a burger, and a salad. And everything was average, if anything. I get that pizza at any kebab shop. The crust was dry and the cheese tasteless. The pasta was the saddest. Not even salt and pepper made it into the sauce (and they weren't found on any table either). The sauce was simply boiled cream with 2 grams of cheese in it, so it was simply tasteless. A tip: salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon can make a big difference. A look at other guests' pasta dishes also looked tasteless. The burger with the frozen patty was also a poor example, and the salad was just everything on a plate with dressing on top. If the price-performance ratio were right, I would give it more stars, but for those prices, I expect a lot more. Had I known that beforehand, I would have gone somewhere else today.

Great Italian restaurant, delicious food, and excellent service! I accidentally knocked over my wine, smashed the glass, and even got the nice waiter wet...and? I got a new glass of wine on the house! That's service! Top-notch!

The baked potatoes were very greasy, and the lasagna was very small. The pizza was good. The cappuccino was okay, but the bread was missing. The pizza bread was great. Bottom line: if you're really hungry, you definitely need an appetizer. The price-performance ratio isn't good.

We dined at Vista Mare several times during our stay in Scharbeutz. Each time, we chose different starters, main courses, and desserts. There were three of us. We were always impressed by the friendliness, helpfulness, and professionalism of the service. The quality of the products, the preparation, and the presentation impressed us. We were very satisfied each time.

Actually, a nice restaurant with a good location. The service is friendly but disorganized. Four of us arrived and were seated despite it being peak time. Our dog was also allowed in, which is a positive. Unfortunately, the table had been left very dirty by the previous guests, and it took quite a while for a member of staff to come and clean it. Ordering was also somewhat lacking in flexibility, but that's not a problem. It's just that the main courses come before the appetizers, which is rather unusual. We didn't have to wait long for our food, though. Unfortunately, our dining experience mirrored some of the other reviews here. The bruschetta was visually appealing, but tasted rather oily and heavy onions. Of the four pasta dishes, only one was okay. You had to hunt for the minced meat in the sauce; it tasted completely bland... salvaged with a little more seasoning, but it wasn't an experience. In all fairness, our criticism was taken into account, and as a small compensation, they offered us a dessert or something similar. As I said, very friendly. Nevertheless, I would only recommend this restaurant with reservations.

Never again. The food was still quite good, although the plaice fillet should have been cooked more thoroughly. It was far too light and mushy. Unfortunately, the waiters showed no signs of proper training; they still have a lot of room to improve. The cleared dishes rarely made it directly to the kitchen; usually, some of them landed on the floor on the way there. When I was served, the food was pushed across the table.

Haffkrug is beautiful, that much can be said. While searching for a suitable location for dinner, we came across Vista Mare. Making an online table reservation was more than easy. We received a warm welcome, and our table was already ready. The service was extremely friendly and prompt, even though the restaurant was at full capacity. The ambiance is modern Mediterranean. I'll deduct a small point for the rather loud noise level in the restaurant. As I said, all tables were fully booked! Certainly not without reason. The food we ordered arrived very quickly, fresh, and hot. From sea bream to salmon, lasagna, a salad platter, and pasta, our selection was extensive. A small, personal complaint was handled more than professionally! Many thanks to the chef and the fantastic team for their goodwill, the service, and the great food! We'd love to come back! The restaurant is very cozy inside and out. We just picked up the pizza and enjoyed it on the beach. The wait was a bit long, but it was worth it. The pizza is highly recommended, and the staff is very friendly.

The service is attentive but insecure. The pizza didn't come as ordered, and it wasn't good either; the spaghetti Bolognese had nothing to do with Italian Bolognese. I'd still be waiting for my second drink if my wife hadn't gotten it for me... Thanks, but there are better things you could do...

Hello. We had dinner at Vista Mare with four people on July 11th from 7 p.m. We received a very friendly welcome and were even allowed to change tables upon request. The food was delicious and looked good too 👍🏻. We had two Vista Mare antipasti and two Rigatoni al Forno. It also included pizza bread with aglioli. It was a very nice evening. The service was very friendly, attentive, and even had a joke or two up our sleeves 😂. We would definitely go back.

We had bruschetta, salad, and two pizzas. My mixed salad for €10.50 was worth every cent. It consisted of various ingredients that were lovingly cut and served. It was served with warm flatbread. Dreamy 😍😍😍 Just like my vegetarian pizza...thin, crispy crust and lots of different ingredients. The price-performance ratio is absolutely perfect. My companion's food was also top-notch. Everything was perfect... food, price, and service. Thank you very much.

The atmosphere was really good, and the drinks were delicious. Unfortunately, the food was inedible. My companion had spaghetti carbonara, and I had fried plaice. The carbonara was covered in parmesan, which made it taste like a casserole. My fish was well-cooked and very hot, but my vegetables had a skin on them, which is familiar when you eat potatoes from the microwave. The crowning glory was the dessert. One of the crème brûlée dishes was just ready-made vanilla pudding with far too much caramelized sugar. When I tried to scoop out the hard, barely edible icing with a spoon, the mixture shot out onto my pants, which was annoying. The tiramisu wasn't any better. The staff at the counter were talking so loudly that it was almost annoying. The chef took the pasta out of a box with his hands, and the pasta inside was already pre-cooked (we found this very unhygienic and unappetizing). All in all, it was a lesson and we definitely won't be coming back.

The taste of the food is ok. But in terms of price-performance ratio, the appetizers are too expensive. E.g. starter 'Salad with Gamberi' (4 pieces on green salad) just under 22 euros. Pizza is ok, but there are better ones. Service but friendly and accommodating.

We placed an order for lasagna and pizza and picked it up. The store looked great and the service was good. Unfortunately the food was terrible, the pizza was soggy and had no taste. The portion of lasagna was a disgrace and didn't taste good either. Unfortunately we cannot recommend this restaurant.

Small pizza, absolutely not what you mean by Italian pizza unfortunately. The service was tried hard, but seemed to be thrown together and everyone was still very young and inexperienced. In summer the ambience is probably better, in cooler temperatures it is rather drafty with the door open and the acoustics are poor and very loud.

We ate there with several people and the dishes were not the way they are “normally” cooked - pickled ingredients were used instead of fresh ones. A lasagna was completely burnt, but no effort was made to resolve the complaint satisfactorily. Overall the restaurant seems unprofessional.

We went there on a recommendation and the food was nothing at all... Bruschetta consisted of 2 slices of toast and it was hardly seasoned. The pasta with minced beef (you had to look for it) baked in tomato cream sauce, over crispy... Spinach pan even for us women a mini portion.... and the men's fillet plate was a joke for 27€ (2 sliced ​​potatoes / 3 mini pieces of meat all drowned in oil) Nice staff, long waiting times and an unreasonable chef... Won't eat there again

I was in Scharbeutz on a cold February day with my daughter, my grandson and my mother, who has difficulty walking. We stopped by this restaurant. A waiter immediately came to the terrace and helped my mother get up the stairs. That was very attentive and nice. My grandson, 2 years old, got a cup of milk foam because he likes it so much. The food was delicious, the service was extremely courteous, attentive and friendly. Thank you very much for that. We would be happy to come back.

Very nice place, nice service but sometimes too little food. With my ravioli for €18, there were exactly 3 ravioli on the plate and they didn't fill me up in the slightest. Definitely tasty but just not enough. However, the Hawaiian pizza was good and at a good price.

The location is top. The service was nice. The prices here are also high, which is probably due to the location. What unfortunately bothered me was that the pizzas there weren't very good. It's not Italian pizzas. To me it looked more like a pizza from a good Turkish restaurant. The taste was okay. Unfortunately the pizza was very crispy and hard baked. The cheese was also very crispy and not soft. I also tried the noodles, but they were really good. I would come back again, but wouldn't order pizza there.

The sea is in sight and the food is very good. We spontaneously visited on a Sunday evening out of season and didn't have to make a reservation. pizza parma and tortellini; plus a small appetizer. It tasted excellent. The atmosphere is inviting and the service is attentive. We particularly liked the manageable menu and the daily menu. An absolute must is the crème brule at the end, it was perfect. How much does the fun cost? Just under 70 euros, 3 courses and wine, you can't complain for 2 people.

Today, November 2nd, 2024, the two of us were at Vista Mare Essen. We really enjoyed the food and the red wine and would go there again. Service was friendly, but we found the decor a bit too cool. Unfortunately it's very dark from the outside, so people walk past quickly. This should urgently be improved. The restaurants nearby all have additional lighting on the outside.

Unfortunately, the food here had nothing to do with an Italian restaurant... The salami pizza from the frozen food chest is the better choice.

There is a nice ambience there and the service is good. The pizza was okay but not appropriate for the price and the location. I was missing the Italian now how that I usually know from my Italian.

Just under €16 for canned olives and a fairly small pizza is excessive for my taste. Even the Margherita (not pictured here) for just under €10 looks more like pizza bread. No, that was an attempt and will not be repeated.

Just a menu, no cutlery! We were there as a family around 8pm. The planned reopening of the pier also took place on that day. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long, even though the restaurant was busy. Unfortunately we only got one card at the beginning, which I can still understand. What was bad was that we had already received the food but were told that there was no cutlery left. Here we had to wait another 5-10 minutes...the food didn't get any warmer. It's a shame, otherwise it would have been four or five stars.

Why this review? There were no coasters for the drinks, which is what the table looked like. I'm happy to pay for carpaccio for 18 euros, but initially it's not fresh and there's no bread as a side dish. My friend plaice had never eaten it before and I was stupid enough to try it. There's a mistake here, the breading isn't completely cross. A disappointment. It's busy. Customers in, customers out. Please put more emphasis on quality and time. Be there for the customers who are there and don't get nervous when customers are at the door. Pressure creates against pressure, just give it more love and you will get it too. The staff is very young and inexperienced, Italian atmosphere looks different. If you can't make carpaccio fresh, it's better not to make it at all. 18 euros without bread and love, what a shame.
