Today, November 2nd, 2024, the two of us were at Vista Mare Essen. We really enjoyed the food and the red wine and would go there again. Service was friendly, but we found the decor a bit too cool. Unfortunately it's very dark from the outside, so people walk past quickly. This should urgently be improved. The restaurants nearby all have additional lighting on the outside.

We were warmly welcomed. We immediately felt at home in the quiet atmosphere of the restaurant. The food (pizza and pasta) came quickly, was very tasty and filling. The service was extremely attentive. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately, the food here had nothing to do with an Italian restaurant... The salami pizza from the frozen food chest is the better choice.

Food is a disaster... Waiter walks around in sweatpants. When discussing the bad food, no one asked what was bad. It was simply accepted. Can't recommend!

There is a nice ambience there and the service is good. The pizza was okay but not appropriate for the price and the location. I was missing the Italian now how that I usually know from my Italian.

Just under €16 for canned olives and a fairly small pizza is excessive for my taste. Even the Margherita (not pictured here) for just under €10 looks more like pizza bread. No, that was an attempt and will not be repeated.

The food tasted good, but the portions weren't that big, so you didn't get completely full.

We were at VistaMareRestaurant last Saturday. We had fantastic food and sea views. A very friendly service. The Vista Mare restaurant alone is worth a trip to Haffkrug. All the best for the future!!

Just a menu, no cutlery! We were there as a family around 8pm. The planned reopening of the pier also took place on that day. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long, even though the restaurant was busy. Unfortunately we only got one card at the beginning, which I can still understand. What was bad was that we had already received the food but were told that there was no cutlery left. Here we had to wait another 5-10 minutes...the food didn't get any warmer. It's a shame, otherwise it would have been four or five stars.

Despite some extremely negative opinions from some critics, we were very satisfied with the restaurant. The food is delicious, the restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere and the staff is very attentive and friendly.

The old one is great. The service was nice. The prices here are also high, which is probably due to the location. What unfortunately bothered me was that the pizzas there weren't very good. It's not Italian pizzas. To me it looked more like a pizza from a good Turkish restaurant. The taste was okay. Unfortunately the pizza was very crispy and hard baked. The cheese was also very crispy and not soft. I also tried the noodles, but they were really good. I would come back again, but wouldn't order pizza there.

Because of the positive reviews, my wife and I tried the Vista Mare on vacation and were not disappointed! Top quality with great taste and very nice service. Gladly again!

Why this review? There were no coasters for the drinks, which is what the table looked like. I'm happy to pay for carpaccio for 18 euros, but initially it's not fresh and there's no bread as a side dish. My friend plaice had never eaten it before and I was stupid enough to try it. There's a mistake here, the breading isn't completely cross. A disappointment. It's busy. Customers in, customers out. Please put more emphasis on quality and time. Be there for the customers who are there and don't get nervous when customers are at the door. Pressure creates against pressure, just give it more love and you will get it too. The staff is very young and inexperienced, Italian atmosphere looks different. If you can't make carpaccio fresh, it's better not to make it at all. 18 euros without bread and love, what a shame.

Price performance is right. One of the best pizzas eaten. Starter was also great. Young team sometimes a bit unsure but always friendly. The only drawback was an unclean wine glass and a pizza plate that had a piece broken off. Still coming back

Right on the first page it is mentioned that the restaurant has only been open for a year. These children's shoes are still recognizable. Not necessarily negative! The service is friendly and attentive. It still seems a bit clumsy, but that's not so bad. When I asked about garlic on the pizza, I was told there wasn't any. The prawns were then surrounded by pieces of garlic on the antipasti platter. This is exactly what I would have liked to have on the pizza. Strange, but okay. Our two pizzas were delicious. Well topped and well baked. Very consistent. Ultimately, more of a note to the restaurateur than criticism: If you put a little bit of work into even better service, the restaurant will definitely be recommended.

We were in this nice house for the first time today. The food was very, very tasty, I was totally thrilled and we were definitely full! Service excellent! We were asked several times if everything was OK. We'd love to come back! See you soon!

Unfortunately, we cannot share any positive experiences about the restaurant. Unfortunately, prices/self-demand and results do not match here. As soon as they were placed, many of the waiters were completely overwhelmed and ran through the store as if in shock. We asked for crayons for our daughter and were forgotten twice. When we asked after 45 minutes whether our order had been forgotten because all the neighboring tables that had arrived after us had already received their food, we were assured that everything was on its way. The fact that it took another 20 minutes showed us that this probably couldn't have been the case. As an apology, we were offered dessert - which seemed like a mockery considering we were a completely tired child. To be fair, the taste of the food was ok.

We were at Vista Mare for the first time today. Despite the announcement, we had to wait more than 90 minutes for the food. The order was partially forgotten and was re-recorded after an hour when asked. Value for money is definitely not right. The service staff is a disaster.

Where do I start... The waiting time took far too long, although unfortunately the one person in service was just running around. I really felt sorry for him... You had to ask the Oberwöchtegerne waiter three times before he brought something... The starters were excellent. The pizza looked like it came from the freezer. I think all of the employees there are in the restaurant for the first time. Maybe even the landlord himself... The service boys run through the restaurant as if the kitchen would process things faster, but it's no use. The place runs strangely, but that's because there are far too few restaurants in the town.

We had a great experience at Vista Mare! The food was incredibly tasty, it smelled very good as soon as we walked in. The shrimp pan is highly recommended! Extremely tasty and the salmon was also super fresh and tasted great! The ambience was really great, not overloaded but very relaxed and cozy. The waiter was great too! Very personable and nice. All in all really great, we would love to come back! Definitely our new favorite restaurant in Haffkrug.

The food was OK, but nothing special. The fish was mediocrely fried and the pizza was unfortunately no better than the delivery service around the corner (not at all like you would expect from Italian restaurants). The atmosphere is nice and the service was friendly. It's perfectly fine to fill up after a day at the beach, but we wouldn't come back.

Has nothing to do with good Italian. Quality of ingredients does not meet price expectations. Especially if the restaurant advertises it on the menu. The salami on the pizza was like it had been bought in half at a discount store. The child didn't even really get enough of the spaghetti Bolognese. It's a shame... we hoped for more. For us the last visit was to these so-called, alleged "Italians"

Normally I'm not that critical but I just want to keep new people away from this “restaurant”. The prices are okay for beach conditions, but not for this quality. We were there with 3 people and ate meat, fish and a burger. None of the 3 guests liked the food and you had to wonder when was the last time you were so disappointed with a meal. We can confirm many of the allegations mentioned here, such as the noticeable lack of quality. The only good thing was the friendliness of the service, which cannot be blamed here. I really can't understand any good reviews about the same chef.

Visited today 05.08.24 as a couple. Good quality Prosecco on ice. spaghetti amatriciana: the classic. Well cooked and also pleasing to the eye.. Guanciale bacon of the best quality. Onions, green and black olives with a delicate taste. Date tomatoes, onions and garlic perfectly balanced. Fine, inconspicuous olive oil rounds everything off. Second meal: Tagliatelle with chanterelles in a fine tomato cream sauce. Cooked to perfection. Remarkably pleasant service. Espresso and grappa well rounded. Prices okay. Red wine Primitivo could do with €1 less. Otherwise: gladly again!

I just set the coffee machine and then got the daily special, it was very tasty and filling! I can only recommend. The waitress is also very polite and even invited us for dessert.

After reading the first page of the menu, which promised only the best quality, which should be included at €16 for a pizza, we were already disappointed with the drinks. Two times of whiskey and cola (one drink was good, the other was undrinkable, the taste was the cheapest alcohol from the discounter with non-carbonated cola) After pointing this out we got a new drink which was good. The taste of the pizza was subterranean... the dough wasn't cooked through, the taste was more like a finished product, the sauce was just watery, the menu promised mozzarella on the pizza, unfortunately, according to the owner, the pizzas contain edam cheese, which is absolutely stringy... So we spoke to the boss who said we had no idea what an Italian pizza was, I could do it better at the campsite. Unfortunately, no improvement was offered, only more whiskey cola, which we refused several times until we were thrown out of the store. I would like to give 0 stars, unfortunately that is not possible... oh, the staff was friendly but neither linguistically nor professionally up to date. For us it's a definite never again.

Good things are usually closer than you think. Yesterday we had an early dinner at the Vista Mare café-restaurant, which is only two houses away from our holiday apartment. We were pleasantly surprised by the clean, modern ambience and the strikingly polite and thoroughly hospitable service. After we were assigned a nice table for two by the window with a sea view, we ordered two Prosecco rose. As a starter we chose Antipasto Vista Mare: a starter combination with burrata, bruschetta and scampi with tomatoes & olives. Very fine and delicious, although we were missing a tiny pinch of salt. We continued with a salmon and spinach lasagna from the daily menu and a Prosciutto Funghi pizza. Both taste and craftsmanship are flawless. We also drank a well-chilled bottle of Albarino. Finally, my husband had a wonderful crème brûlée. We really liked it. Everything was super delicious and you could feel the love for the food and the guest.❤️ We would love to come back!

This restaurant is worth a visit. We haven't eaten so well in a long time. The spaghetti with shrimp and arugula was top notch! The rump steak grilled to perfection, with fresh rosemary potatoes and crisp salad. The restaurant is very clean. Plus attentive, friendly staff. A crowning conclusion to our short trip to the Baltic Sea. We will be back.

Excellent food. Had a very tasty fish platter and a great starter there, which were a very good change from the otherwise more German-influenced cuisine. Unfortunately, they accepted a few more guests than the service staff were able to serve without waiting, but for me that was of secondary importance given the good food.

As repeat visitors, we really enjoyed being at the VistaMare again on Easter Monday evening. This time the boss cooked himself and left the service to the boys. We weren't disappointed again: the service was great, the food was very tasty (we had four different dishes) and the bill was okay too. The VistaMare is on the way to establishing itself in Haffkrug - keep it up!

Nice meal. Schnitzel and vegetarian lasagna. Parking was possible on the road. To be paid until 7 p.m.

The food was really delicious but unfortunately very little. Leaving a restaurant hungry is a shame. The toilets were clean and the staff tried hard.

From our point of view, the food (the pizzas) were really very good! Dough was great, salami could be a little tastier, but was absolutely edible. Beer (in my opinion) unfortunately has a bit of carbonation. I complained about this and a new beer was immediately brought to me, which unfortunately had a little less carbonation. We were probably there too early and things weren't really flowing through the line yet. Therefore no direct criticism. I was still able to drink the beer well and the taste is also a matter of opinion. The service was impeccable and very friendly. Because of the beer, we were finally offered a grappa, which we declined because we don't drink that kind of thing :-) We could have chosen, but we were also happy. :-) Therefore a nice courtesy :-) We would be happy to come back.

Unfortunately the cake is just a finished product. Cream comes from a spray can - and far too little. The cappuccino is hot and delicious.

Lovely place, nice pizza dough, very friendly staff. Not a place for desserts for kids, and generally a small, focused menu.

Since the restaurant is also called a café, we stopped in there wanting a nice piece of cake. The cake was also written on a board at the entrance. But the cake itself was a disappointment: frozen goods! Unfortunately I can't judge what the food is like there.

Very nice restaurant. Food was very tasty and freshly made. Prices are usual for the Baltic Sea, even a little cheaper. The staff was friendly. You had the feeling that they had learned their job and enjoyed doing it. I was impressed with the effort that went into preparing the tables. You don't see it often anymore. The table was cleaned properly, NOT with a rag, the chairs were pushed into place, the napkins lovingly folded. And in my Arabita pasta I added tomato pieces and roasted garlic. Turkey schnitzel large and tender. So the cook can do something too. We will be back.

Delicious original Italian food with a view of the Baltic Sea

We were at Vista Mare today and had antipasti and a pizza tonno. The antipasti were good but a bit low for the price. The pizza, on the other hand, was a disappointment. Very unfortunate.

Wir waren über Silvester dreimal im Vista Mare und immer sehr zufrieden! Super freundlicher Service, erstklassiges Essen zum fairen Preis im angenehmen Ambiente. Genau deshalb waren wir auch dreimal dort.

Wir waren in der Woche vor Weihnachten dort zwei dreimal zum Essen. Sehr netter Service und das Essen war geschmacklich sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Einen Nachmittag haben wir dort ein Früchte Tiramisu gegessen welches einfach nur genial war. Unsere beiden Fellnasen waren ebenfalls herzlich willkommen.

Wir haben vor Wochen einen Tisch reserviert für Silvester, das hat eigentlich gut geklappt allerdings war vorher nicht klar das es extra eine Silvesterkarte gibt, die deutlich kleiner und auch insgesamt ganz anders ausfiel als die normalen Gerichte. Zudem waren die Preise für die Portionen sehr teuer, des Weiteren waren die Bedienungen selbst noch sehr überfordert mit der neuen Karte. Das Essen war insgesamt ganz gut. Insgesamt leider nicht so, wie wir es uns erhofft hatten. Schade…

Wir haben spontan heute Mittag von der Tageskarte Tagliatelle mit Trüffelsahnesoße und Rinderfiletspitzen gegessen. Mit der Weinempfehlung dazu sehr gut!!! Sehr nette Leute/Personal. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Sehr schönes und gepflegtes Restaurant

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Wir sind Empfehlungen von vorab nachgegangen, Bruschetta mit Buratta und Carpaccio vom Rind mit Parmesan und Ruccola - als Hauptgang Pizza mit Garnelen. Das waren alles sehr leckere und preislich Topp-Gerichte. Leider Stern-Abzug auf Grund einer älteren Dame (die Oma oder Mutter der Besitzer) die einen abends ständig beobachet ... wir fühlten uns dadurch leider schnell unwohl Aber das Essen und die Getränke sind wundervoll! 👍 Also wer gutes Essen mag, eine Empfehlung - wer es mag ständig von einer älteren Dame beobachtet zu werden, wid hier fündig!

Ein schönes Restaurant- wir waren angenehm überrascht. Haben dort zu Abend gegessen. Nette Atmosphäre, sehr höflich und zuvorkommende Bedienung/Gastgeber. Pizza und auch der Spinatauflauf sind wirklich zu empfehlen. Top Qualität! Wir kommen gerne wieder.
