I've rarely felt so uncomfortable. First I was ignored, then not placed, then poorly placed, and then ignored again.

This was our first time at this place and we thought it would be a bit more upscale, like what we're used to in Munich. Unfortunately, the food wasn't particularly fresh and was cooked far too long, so the edamame was soft and the main course was lukewarm. Just for the view, it was way too expensive and not recommended. What a shame. Response: We complained to the waitress, he took note, and no, we didn't finish it! The food was returned.

This was our second time here. Very friendly service! The drinks were very good, the sushi was outstanding! I definitely recommend this restaurant! The price/performance ratio is excellent! We'd be happy to return!

Four of us stayed at the Hamptons Scharbeutz. The ambience is nice and the taste of the food was okay. However, for us the price-performance ratio is not quite right. After we got the card, we had to wait 15 minutes before we could even place our order. The Caesar salad was initially served incorrectly with chicken, but two minutes later it was correctly served with beef fillet - unfortunately the meat was then overcooked. Our truffle fries were forgotten and the waiter was rather unreasonable and said we should have told them straight away. The salmon, which we had ordered glazed, also did not come as requested. In the end there was a coffee on the house, the fries were not charged and the Caesar salad was also taken off the bill - we thought that was fair. Overall it was okay, but it didn't convince us that we would come back. For us it was a unique visit.

A really great location. The sea view is breathtaking. The sushi was the best we've had in a long time (and we love eating sushi). Things couldn't be nicer in the real Hamptons!

Atomphere very good....view and ambience very great...as far as the cocktails are concerned, it would make sense to specify the size...Leon cheesecake cocktail was very small for 15 euros but tasted good....the area of ​​the toilets and the signage could be revised/renovated...unfortunately it doesn't fit in with the rest...staff but absolutely top and super friendly. .

Unfortunately, super bad. We wanted to inquire about a larger event there in the Hamptons and were sent from one unreliability to the next. Unfortunately, deadlines, feedback and agreements were not kept. Not recommended.

Went here today based on a recommendation and didn't regret it! The quality and taste of the food was top! Service and ambience top! Unfortunately, so does the price. Even if the quality and service justify this for some people, it is unfortunately above normal and not necessarily designed for those who are hungry for extensive sushi variants. Therefore one star less, even if it seems exaggerated. It's always worth a look and a visit or a feast!

If there was an opportunity for 6 stars, HAMPTONS would have earned it. Great location right on the beach between Scharbeutz and Timmendorf. Excellent cuisine and, above all, such a warm and attentive team that always gives us the feeling of being with friends every time we visit. And that’s been the case for many years 💕⚓️⛵️

Eine Restaurant zum Wohlfühlen, gepflegtes Ambiente, flotter, kompetenter und freundlicher Service, allerbestes Sushi, gute Auswahl an Weinen bei selbstbewussten Preisen. Leider wird das Ambiente dadurch gestört, dass der übergroße Teil der Gäste seine Oberbekleidung über die Stuhllehnen hängt, das Personal lässt sie gewähren und so schaut man allüberall auf Klamotten, wie in einer Kantine. Das ist nicht nur unserer Meinung nach für ein Restaurant eines gehobenen Anspruchs und mit diesem (auch:Preis-)Niveau nicht angemessen und ein grober Schnitzer!

We ate sushi here, which was incredibly good. Very good, competent service. The window seat with a view of the Baltic Sea was breathtaking. We can only recommend the Hamptons. If we're in this corner again, we'll be happy to do it again.

Sometimes disappointment is a result of too high expectations, but I wasn't pleasantly surprised by our evening. The service was friendly and present. The ambience is certainly strong with the Baltic Sea in view, but in the dark it suffers from what I consider to be an inconsistent lighting concept, as it was simply too dark at our table. The fish on our sushi was fresh, but the rice fell apart and the nigiris and makis seemed a bit "cobbled together." I wouldn't come back for the sushi, but maybe a sundowner with a sea view.

Discovered by chance, very chic location, with a fantastic sea view. Friendly, authentic staff, quick service. Despite being full, the food was served quickly. Decorative, hot, fresh and delicious. Good quality. All around a feast for the eyes. Gladly again.

Unfortunately, the evening didn't convince me - the food wasn't good value for money. The beef cheeks were ok, but not particularly refined. The presentation overall was unappealing, the side salad was unseasoned and bland. When it came to wine, we were initially informed that our choice was not available chilled, with the option to add ice cubes - not very convincing. The situation at the entrance was unpleasant when an obviously drunk guest pretended to be a waitress and asked us about our reservation. Overall, there is still room for improvement here.

I was there with a friend, we are from here and like to try out the places where the tourists usually hang out, so we thought... it was now or never. The ambience is unbeatable, that's undisputed. The attached glass veranda is brilliant, it was just a bit drafty. We had pre-booked a table through Open Tabel, which was advisable as it was packed. The service at our table was listless and forced to be friendly. The Loup de Mer meal with vegetables was barely edible, everything was swimming in oil. The fish wasn't fried, just warmed up and briefly pushed under the criddle so that there was at least some color. As a real fish connoisseur, I was shocked at how loup de mer (sea bass) could be messed up like that. The vegetables, I like them crunchy and al dente, but not raw - warm and oily. The only good thing was the potato wedges that I had in exchange for the puree. The second dish, salmon with cauliflower cream, was a disgrace. We swapped the beans for rice. The salmon was so fried that protein came out. The rice was so sour and oily that we assumed sushi rice was fried here. The cauliflower cream was slimy and mixed with so much fried onions that it wasn't until I tried it the second time that the sour spoilage came through. Since the service cleared away without asking and we had to wait a full 20 minutes until the waitress appeared again, everything was gone for us. The "bill" came just as quickly as the food (18 minutes). Something can always go wrong, we are all people who make mistakes... unfortunately there were also complaints at the neighboring tables. Pasta with truffles soggy Vegetables in tempura with shrimps......Not crispy but wobbly - oily, the shrimps were completely missing. It was definitely the last time we were here to eat. It remains to be tested what it is like on the terrace in summer. We are super disappointed 😞 Only the location is great, but it's free on the Baltic Sea and is not up for review. It may be incomprehensible to some who praise the Hamptons so highly. The Hamptons didn't pass our test. The prices are also above those of comparable restaurants. Hamptons is €€€ and not €€

“Nothing works here just like that” was our reception today. The table that was reserved 15 minutes in advance was still free... Great ambience, chic menu, everything was very tasty, but the execution was poor: the flagship fries, i.e. Hampton fries, were cold. Crowned with a hair from the kitchen 😋. The Cesar salad was tasty, had lots of croutons, but wasn't crunchy 🤷. And thank God there was a spoon with the curry, because some of the vegetables were cold, some were so overcooked that nothing could stay on the fork....🙊. Dried out rice and limp chicken, poorly prepared. “That died in vain” would have been said in Franconia 😉. The waiter's remark that we should have complained about the quality immediately, since he had asked, makes me recommend that EVERYONE do exactly that. And what's more, quality control is not the responsibility of the guest, but of the kitchen! I don't want to buy faulty goods just because a warranty is required by law 🫣. Even the coffee and 'cheese'cake on the house didn't stop this visit from happening... In this sense: great ambience, expensive ambience, cuisine far from great.

Only one star for service because I equate service with price/performance. A great new menu, really good for sushi lovers. But unfortunately the portion sizes have also changed with the new menu. To the question - How did you find your sashimi??? I could have answered - by putting the plastic decorative sheet aside. The quality was great, but I don't think 8 small slices of fish for 28 euros is appropriate. It's a shame, because things looked different last year.

Leider war die Pasta sehr fade. Nach dreimaligen Bemerkung wurde auch nur das an die Küche weitergegeben. Ohne Entschuldigung, das war sehr enttäuschend. Man ist ja schließlich nicht in der Kantine, sondern freut sich auf ein hochwertiges Essen. Dem war nicht so.

The Hamptons Scharbeutz is definitely worth recommending. We go there regularly and we have never been disappointed. The service is really good and that Staff is very attentive. The choice of food is just right. Likewise the quality of the food. I would particularly like to highlight the sushi here. The wine list actually leaves nothing to be desired. The location of the Hampton is of course first class, right on the beach. Especially in summer, the Hamptons invites you to spend a while on the beach and rent one of the beach chairs. All in all, a definite recommendation.

Excellent restaurant in Scharbeutz – pure enjoyment on the Baltic Sea! I recently spent a fantastic evening in a restaurant in Scharbeutz on the Baltic Sea, which I will remember for a long time. From the first second everything was just right: the atmosphere, the service and of course the food. I chose a combination of surf and turf, and what can I say – it was a culinary experience in a class of its own! The shrimp were fresh, perfectly prepared and refined with a fine chili sauce that perfectly underlined the taste. The meat – tender and cooked to perfection – was served with sophisticated side dishes that made the whole thing a real highlight. The service was also great: attentive, friendly and with a great sense of when you need support. Plus the wonderful view of the Baltic Sea, which perfectly rounded off the ambience. An absolute must for anyone who appreciates excellent food and a pleasant atmosphere. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Vorallem das Sushi, Surf&Turf und die Pommes sind unglaublich lecker. Die Qualität ist super, das Restaurant sauber und man fühlt sich dort einfach wohl. Super Personal! We wanted to spend our day on the beach on the Baltic Sea and quickly decided to go back to the Hamptons in Scharbeutz. During the day we more than enjoyed the time on a daybed and ended the beautiful day with a delicious dinner. Everything was great! Both the ‘normal’ dishes and the sushi were really, really good. The staff is always super nice and we feel very comfortable every time! Definitely recommended✨

A real gem - everything really worked here. Service was great, the food was very, very good - the cooking level at Surf&Turf was on point for both the beef fillet (mexium rare) and the shrimp. Truffle fries with truffles and NOT with truffle mayo - absolute enjoyment. Cod fillet was great and the mashed potatoes with a hint of celery - mmmmmmh. Dessert was a huge portion and tasted great too. All around successful afternoon. Thanks!

Great, has been for years. You eat and drink like God on the Baltic Sea and as a valued guest you just ask yourself why the menu sometimes says fries and sometimes fries - is there a difference?

Die Speisekarte hat sich verändert. Das "Schokoladen-Malheur" war wieder da, aber unsere Lieblingsgerichte waren nicht mehr im Angebot. Sehr schade.

We spontaneously drove to the Hamptons at lunchtime on October 3rd. I wanted to ask in advance by phone whether it was open at all. The young lady on the phone was so rude and snotty that I actually didn't want to visit the restaurant anymore. Since the alternatives were still closed, we went anyway. The young man at the entrance was the exact opposite of his colleague, super friendly and accommodating. We decided on a beach chair and had a snack there. The ambience is of course unbeatable. The truffle fries were also excellent. Everything was brought in a timely manner. The young man at the service was great, as was the rest.

Wie immer: Fantastisch! Unkompliziertes, professionelles und liebes Personal. Top-Essen, beste Location, atmosphärisch. Auch einfach mal so für zwischendurch die perfekte Wahl.

Das Ambiente, direkt am Ostseestrand ist ein Traum und wenn dann auch noch das Wetter mitspielt gibt es keine Steigerung. Das Essen war, wie jedes mal, geschmacklich hervorragend. Allerdings ist aufgefallen dass einige Gäste sich über zu kalte Speisen beschwert haben. Wir hatten Surf and Turf, das Steak war lauwarm und die Garnele eiskalt. Das ist eigentlich ein no go für ein Restaurant dieser Güteklasse. Wir bekamen dann das Menue neu zubereitet und dann war es auch heiß und wie gesagt, geschmacklich sehr lobenswert.

Was ist hier passiert? Nach einem enttäuschenden Mittagessen ein zweiter Versuch am Abend mit Freunden. Surf and Turf so scharf dass man es kaum essen kann, gebratener Lachs trocken, Keller ohne Ahnung vom Wein mit dem Hinweis als der bestellte Wein nicht mehr vorrätig war , vielleicht den, den trinken viele… weiß aber nicht wie der schmeckt…. Wir haben nach dem Besuch gerochen wie nach dem Besuch einer Frittenbude. Bitte macht nicht das schöne Hamptons kaputt

Megalecker. Tolle Kompositionen, die kein Abklatsch sind. Der Aussenbereich sah sehr wühlig aus. Bisserl wie abgestellt. Es war zwar ein windiger kalter Herbsttag, aber es fand dort auch offiziell Service statt. Und es lud ein nach dem Dinner auf einen Absacker gemütlich zu sitzen. Verbesserungsvorschlag: die Ecke und Seite mit den Sofas schön gemütlich machen inkl dem Etanolfeuer im Tisch und den Rest vielleicht mit Paravents covern und dort alles hinter abstellen. Auch alles, was auf dem Strand wild herumsteht. Nur eine Idee, sonst alles perfekt, lecker, gut gewürzt, gute Portionen und super nett und aufmerksam. Tolles Ambiente. Gerne immer wieder.

We have been coming to the Hamptons every time we visit the Baltic Sea for years and were not disappointed this time either. From shrimp to chicken, from sushi to panfish - everything is fresh, tasty and prepared with a twist. The selection of drinks probably fulfills most wishes and the ambience is really nice and harmonious. The courteous, brisk service is particularly noteworthy: Sarah and her colleagues pampered us this evening; But even before that we were always satisfied. Until next time, we look forward to it!
