A restaurant in Scharbeutz, not directly on the beach or promenade, but not far away either. It has plenty of indoor seating and a winter garden right by the entrance or on the street. We really enjoyed the food. There's something for every taste, from burgers to fish, currywurst, pizza, pasta, baked potatoes, and schnitzel. The staff was friendly. The prices are also reasonable for Scharbeutz (especially the drinks aren't bad). We didn't have to wait long. Visited as a couple on a Monday evening in September 2025.

We were on vacation in Scharbeutz for a week and ate here on the second day! Schnitzel for me and pizza for my wife! What can I say? It was the best schnitzel I've had in a restaurant in years, and the pizza was also excellent! So we went back for dinner. This time we had pasta, and it was fantastic again! So we went back for a third time, and this time we both had a rump steak! The steak was top-notch, with a fresh salad, toasted bread, and fries! Great value for money! In my opinion, the restaurants right on the promenade can't compete! I recommend every vacationer to eat here!

We visited Toni's Essbar for the first time today. The service and ambiance were perfect. The prices were actually okay, but the value for money was still not right. Pizza "Made by Italy" would be an insult to any Italian. Extremely wobbly pizza. Five cocktail tomato halves on top, and a quarter of an onion here and there instead of onion rings. I managed to force half down, but I didn't want to subject myself to any more than that. The baked potato "Fiy" with chicken was average at best. The meat had a very odd texture. So, unfortunately, it was anything but enjoyable. The beer was good. Overall, not our kind of restaurant. Hence, a well-intentioned 2 stars.

Very tasty pizzas and very reasonable prices for lunch!

We came here because of the many good reviews, but unfortunately, we can't understand them at all. We ordered a schnitzel and the "Toni Pizza." The pizza was unfortunately very soggy and only had two scampi on it, which was really disappointing. The schnitzel wasn't large and crispy like in the pictures, but small, too thick, and with far too much breading. The fries were also soggy and barely edible. The cream sauce seemed very watery and tasteless. I even returned the pizza because it was completely oversalted and soggy. At the end, the bill came, and the waitress actually wanted me to pay for the pizza anyway. To my surprise, she said she'd eaten the pizza herself and it was "okay." 😂😂 Are you already sampling food from guests' plates? For us, the meal was a complete disappointment overall.

We've been to Toni's Essbar several times now and have left full and satisfied each time. The burgers are large and delicious. The schnitzels are almost plate-sized and truly delicious. The fried potatoes are freshly prepared, and the fries aren't frozen! The pizzas are above average. Compared to the quality of the food, the service is second to none. Fast, friendly, and helpful. As a guest, you simply feel comfortable and valued. We highly recommend eating here.

Very good food with very friendly staff – normally a top combination, but unfortunately, here it's somewhat overshadowed by slight communication problems and what feels like poorly thought-out logistics. Perhaps that's intentional, as they naturally appeal to every guest, and the food itself is beyond reproach. I'd happily return again.

The pizza for lunch wasn't a typical Italian thin stone-baked pizza, but more likely from a sheet pan, hence the slightly soft crust, and everything was baked with cheese instead of under the topping, but it tasted surprisingly good. It's worth trying. The schnitzel at the next table looked quite large and tasty; we might try it next time. Very friendly service.

Pizza was delicious and quick nothing to complain about

We had a fantastic pizza there. Highly recommended, I'd go back anytime.

So, we visited this restaurant on August 8, 2025, and were not at all satisfied for several reasons. First, the service was really poor; the waiters were very untrained and inattentive. The quality of the food was poor, and they didn't care about the guests at all. We had to remind them several times for everything. The worst part was that we waited 40 minutes for the appetizer and about an hour and a half for the main course (the dishes generally never arrived on time). So, we were really not satisfied, and our advice is that if you want to go there, you should definitely take this into account. We recommend going to better restaurants in Timmendorf, which have much better service and better food.

Because of the good reviews, we went to Toni's Essbar during our vacation. We didn't have to wait long for a table, but it took about 40 minutes for our order to be taken. It also took 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive. When our meals finally arrived at our table after 30 minutes, we were disappointed. The baked potato was hard, the chicken breast was dry, and the vegetable side dish was small and had little flavor. The children's dishes came with about 10 fries. The salad with chicken breast was OK, but nothing special. The chicken here was also quite dry. It's a shame, we had hoped for more. The positive thing was the service: she was friendly and pleasant, but seemed overwhelmed by the large number of guests.

We were there today with two kids for lunch. Super friendly service, relaxed atmosphere. We had two pizzas (€9.90 each), both delicious, and the kids were also very happy with their kids' menu for €6.50. The value for money is simply amazing here. Thank you very much.

We ate delicious pizza here, so 5 stars for that. Everything the others had on their plates looked delicious and plentiful. The restaurant was packed, but the service was still very prompt and friendly. One star deducted for the location and ambiance. But if you're a good walker and can walk a little uphill from the beach, you'll be treated to good food and friendly service.

We ate here on vacation, and it was delicious. We had pizza, lasagna, and baked tortellini, although I would have preferred the latter to be a bit juicier/with more sauce. But otherwise, it was very good.

As a starter I had a tomato soup and a hunter's schnitzel with fried potatoes and I have to say that it is really good as well as the price-performance ratio

Super freundlich. Essen einfach spitze. Preise super. Cocktails sind auch zu empfehlen. Für kinder wäre es schön, wenn es vielleicht ein Malbuch oder ähnliches gäbe. Allerdings ist die Wartezeit fürs Essen auch sehr kurz und man bekommt die Kids auch so beschäftigt.

Very friendly and attentive service. I ordered the Wiener Schnitzel with fries and salad. The schnitzel was super tender and the fries were delicious. The salad could have used a bit more sauce, but it was fresh. Conclusion: I highly recommend it.

We picked up a pizza, and it was simply delicious. Despite sitting in the to-go box for a few minutes, the crust was really good. The "Toni" pizza also impressed with its scampi, spinach, and soft cheese, with a touch of garlic that wasn't overpowering, so you could tell everything on the pizza was really fresh. I would eat there again anytime; it might even be better on-site without the transport. :-)

We picked up food there. We ordered a tuna pizza, pizza bread, and classic tortellini. The pizza and pizza bread were good. The wait was also okay. The tortellini, however, were a disgrace. They were a cheap convenience store product, something I already knew from home. I didn't expect the tortellini to be homemade. However, for €13, I expected a better-quality product. Hence, only a well-intentioned 3 stars.

My wife and I enjoyed our visit, and their place was big in and outside. We were able to get a reservation on short notice. The food was good with a nice amount. The service was very good. Parking is a bit tricky, but come early, and you should be able to find a spot. Some of the prices are a bit much, however, after eating you understand why. Still 4 stars is good.

We were here during happy hour; all pizzas and pasta dishes were €9.99, and we had the Boston pizza and lasagna Bolognese. It was simply fantastic. We were served immediately, the food was ready quickly, and the taste was fantastic. The dishes were well-seasoned, the pizza base was fluffy, and the portions were generous enough to fill you up (despite happy hour). Highly recommended; we'll be back!

Finally, getting our one-year-old son's food warmed up wasn't a problem. The jar comes back after two minutes, complete with a napkin and special spoon. Others could learn a thing or two from that.

The restaurant has a predominantly Italian focus, but also offers home-style cooking. In addition to pizza and pasta dishes, there are also schnitzel dishes and casseroles. Vegetarian dishes are marked accordingly. The schnitzel dishes are delicious and attractively presented, the pizzas are well-cooked, well-topped, and not overloaded with cheese. The ordered food and drinks were brought to the table promptly. The off-season certainly contributed to this. The staff is very friendly and attentive. A visit to the restaurant is definitely worthwhile and comes highly recommended.

Hmm, ordered a bacon burger. Get a burger without bacon. Pizza doesn't seem like pizza from an Italian restaurant. More like pizza from a snack bar... but the service was very friendly. Better than nothing... We won't be back, but that's ok.
