We booked an overnight stay and were very satisfied. Our room had a partial sea view, was located inside, and we could listen to the sound of the waves at night. During the day we were in the wellness area. We had loungers right next to the large window front and that alone was great. We are sauna goers and of course we have seen much more beautiful sauna landscapes, but I can't really understand the many negative comments. Have you ever looked at this unique view?! The breakfast, which you can enjoy with exactly this view, is great. Nothing is missing!

The location is great, right on the beach (with private access). Easily accessible by public transport. Great restaurant on the fourth floor and very rich breakfast in the morning. Most of the rooms have a view of the Baltic Sea and the design is relaxed. I found the service and friendliness to be moderate. The technical equipment in the seminar rooms is no longer up to date (beamer only in 4:3), dirty chairs and tripping hazards in the floor. Unfortunately, no one was interested in my feedback.

Perfect beach vacation at the Bayside Hotel – an unforgettable stay! We had the pleasure of spending a few days at the Bayside Hotel in Scharbeutz and it was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is located directly on the beach promenade and offers a wonderful view of the Baltic Sea. From the first moment we felt completely at home. 1st location: The location of the hotel is unbeatable! Right on the beach and yet right in the center of Scharbeutz - ideal for exploring both nature and the surrounding area. A few steps to the sea in the morning, a leisurely stroll along the promenade in the evening - it couldn't be better! 2nd room: Our room was modern and stylishly furnished, with attention to detail. We were particularly impressed by the sea view from the balcony, which was impressive every morning. The beds were very comfortable and the amenities left nothing to be desired. 3. Wellness area: The spa area is a real highlight! We were able to relax wonderfully, whether in the sauna, in the pool or with a soothing massage. The roof terrace with the infinity pool and the magnificent view of the Baltic Sea is an absolute must and made our stay perfect. 4. Gastronomy: The breakfast buffet was sensational - from fresh fruit to hearty dishes to regional delicacies, everything was there. We were also impressed by the restaurant right in the hotel. The fish dishes were particularly excellent and rounded off the day perfectly. 5. Service: The service at the Bayside Hotel was first class. The entire team was extremely friendly, attentive and always tried to fulfill our every wish. You can feel that people work here with heart and passion. Conclusion: The Bayside Hotel is the perfect choice for a relaxing holiday on the Baltic Sea. Everything is just right here: the location, the facilities, the food and, above all, the atmosphere. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend it to everyone! Hopefully this review gives a good impression of your stay at the Bayside Hotel in Scharbeutz!

The location is unique, no question about it. We were there to take a sauna and unfortunately it didn't pick us up. The changing room was small but ok, the showers in the changing room were way too hard, the water jet was way too hard, the shower products were good. The small swimming pool is ok... BUT you just expect more from such a large hotel in such a beautiful location. The relaxation rooms were all too cold and had no cozy atmosphere and no music. The salt sauna was good, The infusion in the 60° sauna didn't smell like it was described on the sauna door and the steam bath sauna just stank. Maybe someone will take care of these points.

We stayed in the Skysuite at Bayside in 2020. We felt very comfortable back then and everything went well. This year we booked the Bayside for several nights. We were more than disappointed! Starting with housekeeping. They just stood in the room in the afternoon, even though we refused entry. At 8 a.m. housekeeping knocked and the room was entered straight away. Despite the warning! The towels were changed as needed, or there weren't any. Then in the evening we had a receipt in the room that we had helped ourselves to the minibar, which was not the case. This could be clarified with a friendly note at reception that it does happen. On Saturdays for breakfast there was already a shortage of bread rolls at 10 a.m. (breakfast is until 11 a.m.). On Sundays there were no rolls at 10 a.m. These still had to be procured, so all guests had to wait over half an hour for them. We pointed out the above-mentioned circumstances several times at reception. Every time we were put off that there was no one there who could make decisions. But the lady at the reception shot the bird: She told us again that no one from the management was there. Which was a blatant lie!!! The gentleman standing behind her was Mr. Till Haltermann (managing director). However, we didn't know this at the time. We only found this out later via XING. We also wrote a letter by registered mail to Mr. Haltermann personally. We have not received a response to this for 4 weeks. Conclusion: we left 1 day earlier than booked. Of course we did NOT get it refunded. I would only recommend the hotel based on the location, but the service is lacking and as a customer you are cheekily lied to and customer complaints are simply ignored.

We spent two nights in the Super Junior Grand Deluxe Sea View Room at Hotel Baysite and unfortunately our stay wasn't quite what we had hoped due to the high price and early booking. Although the room offered a sea view, it also had a fairly dominant view of a large green roof area, which somewhat spoiled the overall picture. When we politely asked reception whether it would be possible to change rooms to a higher room further up the front, we were turned away with great incomprehension. The answer from the lady at reception was that the hotel was fully booked and that no guarantee could be given for another room even if we booked again. It would have been nice if we had at least been accommodated a little here - perhaps a small concession like a free drink at the bar or a nice gesture to defuse the situation. Instead, we were told that this was simply not possible and had to live with the situation. Of course, we understand that room changes are not always possible when the hotel is fully booked, but the tone and the way you speak to the guests makes the difference. Such small gestures would have been greatly appreciated. Apart from that the hotel is nice, the breakfast was really excellent, but unfortunately the service in this particular case left something to be desired.

Doesn't meet the demands. We actually wanted to stay for 2 nights at the beginning of October and let ourselves be pampered by the promised luxury, but left after one night. What led to this: The wellness area is completely carelessly furnished: there are no cushions on most of the loungers in the relaxation room, other guests' glasses are not cleared away for hours, no candles, no relaxing music (all you can hear is the noise of the huge ventilation), the door to the relaxation room doesn't close properly, In the afternoon, building services staff work loudly right in front of the relaxation room... Room: At first glance it's quite chic, but when you look closely you notice the unkempt condition: rain shower completely calcified, joints dirty / moldy, shower cubicle dirty and calcified. Restaurant: Absolutely outrageous what is offered for the steep prices. Food doesn't taste good, service is subpar (2 starters and 2 main courses: 50% were served incorrectly!), no wine service at the table, served across the table... General condition: The whole house appears unkempt: dirty windows, cobwebs in the lamps. Inattentive service, construction noise at half past seven in the morning (building technology). Overall, a completely unacceptable idea. The location and the view alone are really nice, but that alone isn't enough to justify the prices quoted. Not recommended.

On the one hand, the room was not cleaned adequately beforehand, which we very much regret. On the other hand, your house keeping didn't put away an empty Coke bottle and a used cup of coffee for four days. There were also denture cleaner tablets and used tissues and other waste in the cupboards. The corridor to the room wasn't even vacuumed or mopped for all the days. Sand was on the ground the whole time. Then the bird's nests on the balcony and walls smeared with feces rounded off the comfort there. I would also like to mention the defective armrest of the lounger on the balcony and the unsuitable cushion for it. For €1530 for 3.5 days, the cleanliness and service are a real shame. Unfortunately there is no response from the operation manager either. It's a shame that guests who have repeatedly stayed in the hotel are scared away and would then prefer to move to other hotels next time.

Construction work at the hotel right next to our window - constant construction noise!! A note about construction noise when booking would have been good. We won't be coming back and would advise against the hotel.

The entire hotel is very dusty, cobwebs hanging around. The trash can in our room was not emptied by the previous guests. If you have breakfast at 9 a.m., you have to wait for plates and bowls. The selection of the breakfast buffet was okay. The sauna area is nice, but the shower bracket fell off. The massages were good! There was no rest in the room because there was a crane in front of our window and there was construction noise from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

We stayed at Bayside for 5 nights. Unfortunately we were also disappointed. The room prices are completely overpriced for the “4-star” hotel. The cleanliness leaves more than to be desired, the rooms are already showing their age and are worn out. The rooms are actually cleaned every day, we didn't notice anything about it. The garbage was emptied every day, but that was it. The staff at the breakfast area wasn't welcoming either. For this price you expect a little more service and not stubbornness in doing your job. However, the buffet was sufficient and left nothing to be desired! However, the dishes and the places were not clean and you felt disgusted at times. Very unfortunate... The hotel makes a good impression at first glance, but if you take a closer look you notice a lot of things that are sloppy and have nothing to do with a 4-star standard. It's a real shame because the location of the hotel is great!

Getting old… We stayed at Bayside for the first time in 2020 and were thrilled with this great hotel and have now spent another week there in October 2024. Unfortunately, the Bayside has lost its standards of cleanliness and in-house service. In particular, the cleanliness of the rooms has deteriorated drastically. The cleaning team was unable to understand us and the corners were wiped round. The windows were a disaster and the cups and glasses were only briefly rinsed in the room sink… Not a 4* standard!!! The location is great, but that in no way justifies the high prices. A good feedback: The staff in the restaurant and at breakfast were very friendly and the food in the restaurant was also very good. Breakfast was only nice to look at for the first 30 minutes. The tongs were unsuitable for fruit, cheese and sausage, the arrangement was a disaster as you couldn't get to the food in the back row of the display without your elbow or sleeve touching the display. Jars of jam and dressings were only refilled, which was evident from the dried out rims of the jars. More of a canteen than a 4* hotel! It's a real shame, it would be so easy to stop things like that if you felt responsible for your guests. Other hotels in this category can do much better!

It is quite interesting that there is no noticeable learning curve as valuations decline. We would have happily spent a significant four-figure amount for 2 nights. But if the manager is already conducting customer-defensive communication, then nothing can be expected from the hotel even in this price segment. Maybe you should get off your proverbial high horse. Update: Dear "Owner", unfortunately I cannot address you by name as I cannot find it in your answer. It seems advisable to include the correct tenor and content of your email history here. Unfortunately, her answer proves to be a validation of the reviews that can be read here and on other portals from the last few months. A targeted answer could have looked different, especially since contact with her home was sought several times. This is not intended to sound presumptuous in any way, but a complaint is essentially nothing more than a second chance that a customer offers a service provider verbally or in writing. Ideally, it is up to you to deal with the criticism in a reflective manner. And yes, legally it is one thing, but in my opinion the context requires a different assessment.

Despite all the anticipation, the hotel was disappointing across the board. Starting with the entrance to the underground car park, which is also used as the hotel's own junk room, a very cautious reception at the reception (questions were not welcome), layers of dust on all the artificial flowers and ending with dirty tables and chairs at breakfast, heavily soiled dishes and glasses, broken ones Juice dispensers, defective toasters, dirty coffee machines, extremely unfriendly and unprofessional breakfast staff (they often sit at the table next door to take a break while clearing away), defective pancake machine. The bar and restaurants cannot be surpassed in terms of discomfort. When you walk through the hallways, you might think you are in a hospital or a youth hostel. We had booked from Friday to Sunday and left early on Saturday. We had reserved the Coast and the Roof Restaurant for the evening and canceled it straight away after looking at the stained and greasy paper menus. Conclusion: far too expensive, far too overrated, better not book.

Wir waren schon einige Male hier. Nun waren wir diese Woche bei schönem Wetter auf der Terrasse mit Ausblick auf die Ostsee. Alles sehr romantisch. Leider total verdreckte Scheiben. Als die Bedienung kam, fragte man uns, was wir möchten und wir sagten, etwas essen bitte. Man zeigte stumm auf einen Aufkleber mit QR code. Ich fragte nach der Karte. Man muss mal nachschauen, ob er welche findet. Man gab uns dann eine Karte für zwei Personen und ließ uns einfach links liegen. Wir bestellten beide Rinderfilet. Das Essen kam nach 40 min. Die Teller waren kalt, dass Filet war nicht richtig pariert. Schrecklich. Es war nichts richtig gewürzt, die Pommes ohne Salz. Eine Priese grobes Salz und Pfeffer zierten den Teller. Auf dem Filet wurde Schnittlauch gestreut. Keine Mensch weiß, warum man so etwas macht. Schrecklich. Essen daher ziemlich Geschmacksneutral und sehr schnell kalt. Niemand kam und fragte, ob alles in Ordnung sei oder ob man etwas nachbestellen möchte. Man konnte sich niemanden rufen, da auf der Terrasse selten nur eine Bedienung zu sehen war. 40min nachdem wir aufgesessen hatten, wurde abgeräumt. Ich bat um die Rechnung. Die kam nicht. Nach weiteren 30 min gingen wir nach drinnen und verlangen direkt an der Registrierkasse die Rechnung. Wir zahlen für schlechtes Essen für zwei Personen 90,60€ Völlig überteuert, Service schlecht, Qualität schlecht. Anhand der Rechnung kann man nicht einmal kontrollieren, ob hier die Beilagen korrekt abgerechnet wurden. Das werde ich dem Finanzamt und Dehoga melden. Für mich geht dieser Laden gar nicht. Es scheint einzig und allein die Lage die Plätze zu füllen. Zum Schluss kam es noch zum Besuch auf der Toilette. Alles verdreckt und verschmiert. Selbst auf dem Flur Spinnenweben. Es rundet das ganze Bild für mich leider im negativen Sinne ab.

I've already been to an event at the in-house rooftop bar twice. The music and atmosphere were great! Only the bar was extremely overwhelmed. Drinks ordered from table service only arrived after 2 hours and queuing at the bar also took that long. For this reason I cannot recommend events in this form!

We have been to this hotel many times and really enjoy coming here. The service is great, the food is very rich and tasty. I think it's great that even the scrambled eggs are freshly prepared. The only thing I'm missing in the spa area is a whirlpool and an infinity pool. The staff is without exception very nice and helpful, I would particularly like to highlight the Ukrainian couple from the service, they were both particularly nice and very friendly to our children. It's always nice to come here!

Absolutely underground! Moths and beetles in Rooms, dirty, poor service. Despite multiple emails to the management, who "always" seem to be in meetings and not in person, there was no response or apology whatsoever. With a room price of just under €500 per night, this is not acceptable!

We spent our summer vacation here for the second time after 2022. Another one will not follow. Because we couldn't go on vacation for as long as planned for professional reasons, we booked a very expensive suite. This was very beautiful in itself. Lots of space, huge bathroom, unfortunately with very slippery tiles (when you get out of the shower with wet feet), so my husband slipped and hit the floor when he went to get his towel because he had forgotten to put it next to them to put in the shower. In the shower itself, whoever went into the shower second had to hold on for the same reason. However, the beautiful, large bathroom suffered a lot because it wasn't cleaned once in the 2 weeks we were there. Not even the toilet!!! Hello, are you still okay??? The service staff were there after 2 minutes!!! Gone again.. Beds made (since this person was obviously a chain smoker - he STINKS that way anyway), and the pillow smelled like a cigarette in the evening 🤮🤮🤮🤮 If we were lucky, we got a replacement roll of toilet paper (if there were still 10 sheets left on the existing one), but we also had to ask at the reception for new toilet paper... that's not possible!!! I found a chunk of toothpaste in the sink and wanted to wash it away. Didn't work. It was dried on and definitely not mine, as I use blue toothpaste and not white. Cleanliness is different... in a cheap hotel you might have to expect that. But in an extremely expensive suite I expect something different!!!! The breakfast is good and leaves nothing to be desired. Since we often travel on business, we certainly have opportunities to compare. We would like to specifically highlight a very sweet and nice lady. She greeted us very friendly every morning when she was on duty and we were immediately in a good mood. We don't know her name, her reddish hair is tied in a braid and her accent is maybe Ukrainian?? Bayside Hotel: We've already complained about the room service on site. But if you don't change anything about it, people will complain in droves. I don't know if that's what you want 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ In any case, we will spend our hard-earned money elsewhere...

ATTENTION: Bayside leaves negative reviews due to... delete alleged “defamation”. I previously had a fair 3 star rating because it no longer has a good price/performance ratio. I have been a guest very often and can no longer recommend Bayside. My fair review has been deleted. And apparently other guests feel the same way. See reviews. Very bad style @ Bayside.

The rooms are getting old. There is no air conditioning! Unfortunately, we can only advise against vacationing in summer! The service staff at breakfast only partially speak German and cannot often answer questions. All other catering areas and reception are great. I still wouldn't come back because the price and performance just aren't right for me because of the rooms.

The room was untidy when we checked in at 6 p.m. Topper had half a sheet which is unhygienic in my opinion. And well - Baltic Sea, top location and O juice from the machine? Nope Sauna landscape - hadn't had any new drinking water for over a day. The demands are high for WE travel. Especially when you leave a lot of money behind.

We drank cocktails here twice. They were tasty, although very expensive. BUT...: Here, for example, dogs were tolerated on the bar benches, that's not possible. You then sit where a dog used to sit with its butt, which maybe just...? AND even worse: We had already written this during a recession, it was sued out, Google had to remove it. Because of alleged defamation! You obviously can't deal with justified (!) criticism here. Especially since there were still 3 stars! This way of dealing with worse reviews is impossible. You could also have contacted us, written an answer under the recession, etc. But no, alleged slander. There were four of us and we all saw it.

Location is unique, right on the beach and the pedestrian zone. 3 restaurants on site, cafés and other restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Room service very good, breakfast buffet top, nothing is missing, the egg dishes are prepared open-faced from fresh eggs. The buffet continues to be topped up at 10:45, even though breakfast ends at 11:00.

Actually a very good location, Beds very good quality, very good breakfast with the BEST gravel salmon I have ever eaten. However, we won't be coming back, see below. We had a great view of the Baltic Sea. However, we were very disappointed with the breakfast on our third visit, as at 9:30 there was hardly any of the richness left and no refills were made. Not even trivial things like cucumber slices. This was the case not only on Saturday but also on Sunday. Really sad as we love the hotel. Even if the hotel is fully booked, something like this has to work. Therefore from the original 5 stars only 3!!! Restaurants within easy reach, you can pick up food and eat comfortably in your room with the best view. Cocktail bar with a very exclusive selection. Top

I was there for two nights for my company because the annual sales meeting was taking place here. The rooms are very spacious with two armchairs by the window and a balcony overlooking the Baltic Sea (at least in my case). Good bathroom with walk-in shower. The daily breakfast is perfect and offers a wide variety of different foods. Excellent hotel in a beautiful location, highly recommended.

Never again!! We stayed at this really nice hotel again at the beginning of May. We booked a room with a sun terrace. However, they did not consider it necessary to point out that there was a construction site right in front of our room, which was making such deafening noise that it was impossible to stand on the terrace, let alone open the window. Complaints both during the stay and afterwards in writing were simply ignored. An absolute disgrace for what was (formerly) the most beautiful hotel in Scharbeutz.

We have booked the hotel several times in the last 3 years. Unfortunately, I have to say that it has been declining rapidly since then - the only thing that embodies 4 stars here are the astronomical prices for abysmally poor service. This time we are here both for business and private purposes. My wife is leading a workshop for a large company while I am booked in privately. Point 1. None of us got a "beach ticket"... you probably have to pay extra for that. A “no go” for a hotel right on the beach. But good. We still have the money left over ourselves. Point 2. In the room we found a large screwdriver under the toilet, as well as a lot of lint. I don't think I need to say anything more about the thoroughness of the room cleaning, at least when it comes to the final cleaning for the next guest. But I'll come back to it again in a moment. Point 3 breakfast. Before that, there was always scrambled eggs that were already ready and everyone could help themselves. If you want an omelet, ask the chef, give him the additional ingredients and watch him do his magic. It's always been great so far. The concept has been changed slightly: scrambled eggs now have to be ordered and are no longer “freely available”. In itself, it's okay if you consider that this could increase the rush at the chef. This inevitably led to him rolling his eyes at the friendly "moin, I'd like a portion of scrambled eggs :-)", slapping his gloves on the counter, preparing the scrambled eggs in exasperation and slamming the plate onto the counter without a word. Sorry, but if the staff is THAT annoyed and rude, then there is something wrong with either the concept or the staff. Point 4. We have a dog with us. He was also on the beach. And part of the beach was also in the room. I personally find cleaning the room just before 4 p.m. really weak...when it was finally cleaned, I found several long black hairs on the bed, some of the sand was still there, towels were simply changed ( you just want to adhere to the useless requests of the environmental protection signs...) and it became clear to me why the screwdriver remained undiscovered under the toilet for a long time... I don't even want to start talking about the service my wife experiences on the job...this is also more than subpar. With a large budget that is made available, it should not fail due to cold coffee, overcooked food, undercounted snacks and conspicuous absence. However, the Bayside manages to do this too. We can no longer recommend it. No more, both professionally and privately. It's better to save your money and go to another Baltic Sea area with better hotels that also behave according to your star rating.

We went to the Roof restaurant today. Unfortunately, our impression today was very disappointing compared to other times in the last 10 years! It started with the wine, which at 11.50 euros for a glass is very expensive compared to the other restaurants in Scharbeutz. You also only get the cheaper Primitivo compared to previous years. Then our sushi came. Unfortunately, we were no longer full, which was not the case with the same order before. So we ordered a dessert and ended up with around 30 euros more on the bill. Then the bill came, we paid with the credit card. Instead of 130 euros, the waiter typed in 140 euros. Of course, it was claimed that this was not intentional. That remains to be seen! It's a shame, we won't visit the restaurant again because there were too many negative things at once.

We stayed in this hotel from May 7th to 9th for our uncle's 85th birthday. We reserved a table for dinner at Coast Restaurant (birthday meal). Our guests uncle and aunt are stricken and have walking difficulties. When we came into the restaurant, the waiter showed us to a table with a baroque table, even though we were disabled. I said we needed a normal table. We also got one in a reasonable amount of time. The table was neither nicely set nor provided with a tablecloth. We were here for a birthday party and the first table was not ceremoniously set. More like a pub setting. The food was loveless and I would describe the cook as unqualified. The liver was fried to death, not to mention the fish. The unqualified waiter didn't get anything done, he wasn't even able to keep 4 drinks. After repeated requests the wine came. After we gave most of the food back, there was no sign of the waiter. Even when the bill was paid, there was no sign of a thank you. I expect professional employees and standards from such a house. I was a guest at the Bayside Hotel for three days or two nights. The location is great, right on the beach, as is the parking in the hotel's own underground car park. The rooms, I had one facing away from the beach, are also well equipped, with a balcony and decent furniture. So far so good. We ate our meals at Coast Restaurant. The breakfast was very good and rich. Only the employees at the “omelette station” seemed very haphazard. Unfortunately the other meals were very below average. The common denominator is that everything is overcooked, but not hot. The soups all had a "skin", the steak and fish were dry. It appeared that the food had been left under a warming station for a while too long. Here too the staff was quite haphazard. Conclusion: I would come again to stay overnight, but definitely not to eat. :-)

Never again Bayside! This was our first and last time at Bayside. We expected a lot from this hotel and were unfortunately bitterly disappointed. There is one point/star for the situation, which is beyond any doubt. However, the price/performance ratio was not right for us at all, as in our opinion the service and cleanliness did not live up to the 4-star standard. In addition, there were a few times when we didn't feel like valued guests. Employees were apparently more concerned about their own advantage and, for example, behaved towards us. T. behave very selfishly. I have never experienced this in any hotel, especially one that has the standards that the Bayside itself conveys. We also had the impression that management does not try to see complaints regarding poor performance as an opportunity and to compensate appropriately at the end of the day, but on the contrary appears to do everything in its power to reject them. During our stay we spoke to some locals (taxi drivers etc.) who, among other things: reported similar experiences from other guests. There was also talk of problems with staff. Maybe there's even something fundamentally wrong here. In any case, it is clear to us that with this perceived service in conjunction with a price level that is not at all suitable as a result, which also applies to such complaint management, we will not be coming back again.

Unfortunately, the fans in the bathroom don't do anything. There was a blood stain on my towel. After reporting it, I should get new ones immediately. Unfortunately it took over an hour. We were already at Bayside a few years ago and thought it was really nice. Back then we traveled as a couple with a dog. We wanted to go there again and called to ask about the possibility of traveling with two adults, a one-year-old and two dogs. We would also be willing to take the more expensive room category in the hope of having more space. Unfortunately, the feedback was a bit non-transparent: two dogs are not allowed per room! We should book two rooms please. When asked why (we didn't want to discuss anything - we didn't - we wanted to understand it and maybe it would have persuaded us to find an alternative to travel) the only answer was that for the whole thing Hotel only allows a certain number of dogs. So we asked whether the capacity would be reached for our desired travel period and whether we could alternatively travel at a later date. Since we were flexible in terms of time, we were simply told that this was basically not possible. I am aware that the hotel has the house rules and can decide for itself, I don't question this either. It would only be customer-friendly to simply explain it to us briefly instead of saying: it doesn't work. Unfortunately, this wasn't visible anywhere on the booking sites or their own site - at least I couldn't find it anywhere. So I'm more likely to ask myself the question. What would have happened if we had just booked it online…. Wouldn't they have let us check in with a small child?

They said we wanted to postpone or cancel our trip this weekend due to illness. Then my partner wanted to drive alone yesterday so that the €500 wasn't in vain. However, due to the derailed construction train at Hamburg main station, he was unable to start the journey, whereupon he was informed by phone from the hotel that they couldn't do anything about it and that they wouldn't be able to postpone it because everything was fully booked for the next few months, so he was out of luck. Zero goodwill, underground, I would recommend it to absolutely no one and on top of that it's a lie because the booking system shows that every weekend would be available from June onwards.

Ich hatte mit meiner Frau ein Wellness- Wochenende gebucht. Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen direkt am Meer, das Zimmer 1A, der Service immer sehr freundlich und kompetent. Der Spa-Bereich ist nicht übermäßig groß, mit begrenzter Anzahl von Liegen und das Trinkwasser wurde selten aufgefüllt. Aber die Saunen waren sauber, groß und angemessen heiß. Zusätzliche Beauty-Pakete wie Massage, etc. sollte man früh genug buchen, da man kurzfristig keine Termine mehr bekommt.

Wir waren zum Essen in der Roofbar. Die Karte ist übersichtlich, aber die Speisen waren allesamt erste Klasse. Der Service ist aufmerksam ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Die Lage direkt an der Ostsee mit Blick übers Meer ist natürlich unschlagbar. Man muss sich aber im Klaren sein, dass man für diese Qualität etwas mehr Geld einplanen muss. Von uns: 5 Sterne!

Mega! Das beste Hotel was ich in Deutschland bis jetzt besucht habe. Absolute Oberklasse! Morgens durch die Wellen geweckt zu werden, ist einmalig! Das einzige Manko: Es gibt leider zu wenig Liegen im Spabereich. Zudem werden diese schon vor dem Frühstück reserviert und irgendwann im Laufe des Tages mal benutzt, wenn überhaupt. Das ist ärgerlich. Sonst ist alles perfekt und wir haben bereits schon wieder für den Herbst gebucht!

Sehr schlechtes Hotel bzw Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wir waren für 3 Nächte im Bayside. Die Lage ist super. Aber jeglicher Service, das Frühstück und das Abendessen, der Zimmerservice hat max. zwei Sterne verdient. Alles wirkte wie ein billiges Tagungshotel. Frühstück: es gab an allen Tagen zu wenig Geschirr und Sitzplätze für die Anzahl der Gäste. Es entstanden so lange Warteschlangen am Buffet, das man lieber auf Rührei usw. verzichtet hat. Restaurante Coast: das Abendessen war richtig schlecht. Das gesamte Hotel war extrem hoch temperiert, überall stickige Luft. Im Kinderspielzimmer war kaputtes Spielzeug, kaputte alte Möbel mit Verletzungsgefahr an Metallscharnieren. Die Steckdosen sind im Spielzimmer nicht gesichert. Der Zimmerservice wirkte unorganisiert und hat es nicht geschafft an jedem Tag das Zimmer frisch zu machen. Der Saunabereich ist ohne Aufgüsse und Personal. Sehr geringer Comfort und zu wenig Liegen und Entspannungsmöglichkeit. Die Lage des Hotels hingegen ist super. Wenn man z.B. mit kleinen Kindern direkt an den Strand möchte und wenig Wert auf Entspannung und gutes Essen im Hotel legt, dann ist man im Bayside gut untergebracht. Nur es ist eben weder ein gutes Wellnesshotel, noch bietet es gehobene Küche. Man fühlt sich wie in einem großen Tagungshotel, überall ein bisschen stressiges Umfeld.

Habe ein Gutschein für zwei Nächte. Wollte jetzt am 20. buchen, bei Nachfrage wurde mir der Betrag genannt und die Mitarbeiterin konnte den Gutschein sehen und mir den Betrag nennen. Nach der Buchung rief ich an, um den Restbetrag überweisen zu können, dann wurde erst darauf hingewiesen, dass der Gutschein am 31.12.23 angelaufen ist und somit nicht mehr einzulösen ist. 20 Tage und null Kulanz. 324 € weg und von der Geschäftsleitung keinerlei Entgegenkommen. Nichts!!!! Und das in dieser Zeit und vor allem wo man nicht mal drei Jahre reisen durfte (Lockdown). Wirklich ohne Worte und nicht weiterzuempfehlen!

Das Hotel lebt vom Standort. Das Zimmer war schön groß und gut eingerichtet, aber (im Januar) extrem warm. Leider ging die Wärme auch nicht mit geöffneten Fenster und ausgeschalteter Heizung aus dem Zimmer. Sauna und Schwimmbad waren super, mit tollem Blick auf die Ostsee. Der Zimmerservice war um 16:00 leider noch nicht erfolgt, die Sauberkeit dann später war gut. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, alles war immer ausreichend vorhanden. Beide Restaurants, die zum Hotel gehören, sind nicht zu empfehlen! Teuer und Systemgastronomie, lieber ausserhalb gucken. Fazit: ein gutes Hotel, wären da nicht die Restaurants!

Wir waren das zweite Mal im Bayside und uns auch das letzte Mal ! Wir hatten einen Trauerfall im engsten Familienkreis und das Hotel wollte uns hier nicht entgegen kommen! Keine Umbuchung möglich - somit nur Stornierung ! Empathie gleich null. Wir nutzten das Early Check-in, da wir eine längere Anreise hatten. Mit welchem Ergebnis? Wir wurden bis 15:00 Uhr dreimal durch Personal gestört! Weiter war unser Zimmer komplett überheizt - selbst das Herunterregeln der Heizung führte nicht gleich zum Erfolg, da die Fußbodenheizung nachhält! Komplett wurde uns der Urlaub versaut, als wir den Wellness-Bereich betraten! Keine Liegen frei - Saunen überfüllt. Positiv ist anzumerken, dass das Personal in allen Bereichen nett und zuvorkommend war und dass das großartige Frühstücksbuffet den Ärger abgemildert hat.

Update 2023: wir haben von Montag bis Freitag die Sky Suite gebucht. Während der ersten Benutzung der Toilette bemerkte ich einen unangenehmen Geruch und fand eine völlig verdreckte Toilettenbürste vor. Über und über von nassem Papier bedeckt und in der Schale schwammen die Exkremente der vorherigen Gäste. Mein Mann sagte an der Rezeption Bescheid, es wurde versprochen, dass sich darum gekümmert würde. Nach einem Spaziergang war eine Stunde später alles unverändert. Ein weiteres Mal beschwerten wir uns. Die Dame die dann zum Reinigen kam, sprach kein Wort Deutsch, tauschte blitzschnell die Bürste aus und verschwand wieder. Keine Reinigung, nichts. Die Exkremente hat mein Mann dann selber entfernt. Das Zimmer wurde während des Aufenthaltes nie richtig sauber gemacht. Gläser und Tassen wurden nicht eingeräumt, sondern kreuz und quer auf den Tischen verteilt. Die Fenster waren übersät von Fingerabdrücken. Schwierig bei einer Suite für die man mit ihrem tollen Ausblick wirbt. Auf dem Fernsehtisch klebten Lolli-Reste, eine der Bodylotions war bereits benutzt und halb leer. Generell war die Ausstattung des Bades eigenartig. Es gab 8 Fläschchen Bodylotion aber kein einziges Shampoo oder Duschgel. Die Halterung für den Toilettenpapier-Vorrat war von der Wand gebrochen, das Papier stand samt Halterung neben der Toilette auf dem Boden. Nicht sehr hygienisch. Wir hatten das Gefühl, dass am Housekeeping extrem gespart wird. Das Team versteht nicht was man sagt und macht alles nur husch husch. Positiv stach das Personal an der Bar und beim Frühstück hervor. Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Für 1800 Euro erwartet man einen perfekten Service und eine saubere Suite. Fehler können passieren, aber was wir bei diesem Aufenthalt erlebt haben geht absolut nicht! ---------------------------- Schönes Zimmer mit Meerblick. Tolle, große Dusche. Durchweg freundliche Mitarbeiter. Der Ausblick vom Restaurant auf die Ostsee ist wunderschön. Das. Essen war unschlagbar gut. Auch auf Kinder wurde gut eingegangen. Ein Frühstücksbuffet das seines Gleichen sucht.

Wir sind arg enttäuscht! Wir wollten einen Aufenthalt jetzt im Januar im Bayside buchen und hierfür einen Gutschein (kleinerer Betrag, aber das sollte ja egal sein) einlösen. Dieser ist seit 13 Tagen (!) abgelaufen. Schade, dass sich das Bayside hier in keinster Weise kulant zeigt stattdessen nur mit Floskeln auf die gesetzlichen Regelungen hinweist und somit auf einen Besuch von uns anscheinend gern verzichtet. Und das, obwohl wir schon mehrfach zu Gast waren. Irgendwie uncool und erweckt den Anschein, das Profit in der Priorität der Hotelführung sehr deutlich vor der Gästezufriedenheit steht.

Wir waren im Januar 2024 drei Tage im Bayside-Hotel in Scharbeutz, um einen schönen Geburtstag zu zweit mit Hund zu verleben. Das Zimmer mit Meerblick war sehr geräumig und nett eingerichtet. Allerdings lief das Wasser im Waschbecken nicht ab, was aber nach Bemängelung schnell behoben wurde. Die Betten sind sehr gut, überhaupt macht das Hotel einen sehr guten Eindruck mit überall äußerst nettem Personal. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und reichlich. Toll, dass der Hund mit dorthin darf. Es gibt lobenswerterweise einen Extrabereich für Hundebesitzer, die das Frühstück also in Ruhe genießen können. Aber: Wir hatten uns riesig auf das "gute Essen" am Geburtstag im Coast-Restaurant gefreut, das preislich relativ hochwertig war. Die Büsumer Krabben-Suppe vorweg war nicht richtig heiß und schmeckte irgendwie merkwürdig sauer. Leider haben wir das nicht reklamiert (wir meckern nicht so leicht). Die Hauptspeisen waren auch nicht besonders lobenswert - kein zartes Fleisch, kein zartes Fischfilet - im Verhältnis dann viel zu hochpreisig. Der Nachtisch war dann wenigstens sehr lecker. Leider wurden mein Mann und ich dann spät abends krank: wir mußten beide die ganze Nacht lang ständig zur Toilette rennen, und ich habe zusätzlich noch kräftig spucken müssen, wobei die Suppe dann auf diesem Wege wieder herauskam. Mir ging es so schlecht, dass ich morgens auch nicht frühstücken konnte. Bei dem Preis, der dieser Aufenthalt uns gekostet hat, war das alles neben dem Unwohlsein sehr, sehr ärgerlich. Natürlich haben wir uns beschwert an der Rezeption. Dort wurde viel Verständnis für uns gezeigt und zur Wiedergutmachung wurde uns die Stellplatzgebühr für unser Auto erlassen, was uns ein wenig versöhnte. Allerdings möchte ich noch anmerken, dass die Gebühr für unseren kleinen Hund von € 25 (!!!) pro Tag ziemlich stark überhöht ist. Auf dem Zimmer stand lediglich ein kleiner Wassernapf und ein Leckerli für unseren Hund bereit. Keine Decke für den Hund, kein zweiter Fressnapf für das Futter. Wofür dann 25€???? Den Preis haben wir bisher in keinem anderen Hotel bezahlt und immer gab es (meist für 12 -15 € pro Tag) zumindest eine Kuscheldecke als Liegeplatz für das Tier und einige Leckerlis + Näpfe. Also abgesehen von den schönen Räumlichkeiten und dem äußerst zuvorkommenden Personal haben wir den Aufenthalt vor allem durch das schlechte Essen im Coast in nicht so guter Erinnerung. Sehr, sehr schade, sonst wären wir gerne wieder gekommen.

Wir haben eine wundervolle Woche im Bayside verbracht. Unser Zimmer war ein Traum, dank der Jahreszeit war es weder in den Restaurants noch im Wellness-Bereich überfüllt. Tausend Dank auch an die beiden TOP Physios, die meine Verspannungen lösen konnten. Wir freuen uns auf Januar 2025!!!

Hotel am Strand mit Luxus-Feeling. Parken in Parkgarage. großzügige Zimmer / Suite mit Mehrblick, alle Etagen über Fahrstuhl erreichbar. Umfangreiches Frühstücksbuffet und 3 Themenlokale für den kulinarischen Genuss. Es war ein Erlebnis und mit den Wellness-Angeboten Erholung pur.

Sehr schönes Hotel in direkter Strandlage. Wir haben dort zwei Nächte verbracht und sowohl den SPA-Bereich, den Sportraum und das Schwimmbecken genutzt und genossen. Aus allen Bereichen konnten wir auf die Ostseeblicken. Nach der Sauna konnten wir auf der Dachterrasse abkühlen, bei leichtem Schneefall einfach herrlich. Das Frühstück ist mega im Bezug auf Auswahl, Qualität und Service.

Das Hotel ist ein Traum! Natürlich auch durch die Lage, aber auch der Wellnessbereich und die Restaurants sind top. Der Service generell war super, sowohl beim Essen, wie auch an den Bars und auch die Sauberkeit der Zimmer war super. Technisch vermissten wir die Möglichkeit über den TV zu streamen. Leider klappte auf der Silvesterfeier nach dem traumhaften Gala-Buffets die Getränkeversorgung gar nicht! Weder ist für eine solche Großveranstaltung das Bezahlen mit Angabe der Zimmernummer und Unterschrift praktikabel noch gab es um 0:00 Uhr eine Sektbar- wo man sich hätte einfach bedienen können. Fazit: wir haben uns über die Feier an dem einen Drink festgehalten, da die Schlangen bis 2:30 Uhr nicht kürzer wurden. Schade, dass das die Erinnerung zu einem sonst super tollen Silvester-Arrangement deutlich schmälert- und von einer Buchung für nächstes Sylvester abhält.

Wir wollten als Tagesgäste den Wellnessbereich nutzen. Für die Buchung von zwei Massagen habe ich das Hotel via Kontaktformular kontaktiert. In meiner Nachricht habe ich mitgeteilt, dass wir unseren Besuch in den Wellnessräumlichkeiten mit einer Anwendung verbinden möchten. Der Termin wurde mir daraufhin von einem Mitarbeiter der Rezeption telefonisch bestätigt. Zu keinem Zeitpunkt wurde ich darüber informiert, dass für den Wellnessbereich eine separate Reservierung erfolgen muss. Erst vor Ort wurde uns gesagt, dass wir den Wellnessbereich nicht nutzen können. Da wir uns auf den Tag gefreut haben und 1 Stunde Fahrtweg hinter uns hatten, war unsere Laune entsprechend getrübt. Man hat uns daraufhin die Wellnessräumlichkeiten anderer Hotels in der Gegend empfohlen. Wir sind den Tipps gefolgt und waren schon beim Anblick des Spa-Bereichs vom Maritim Seehotel enttäuscht. Abgesehen von der missglückten Kommunikation, haben uns die Massagen leider nicht sehr gefallen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt in unseren Augen nicht.

Die Lage des Hotels ist unschlagbar. Beim Service hapert es an vielen Stellen. Service im Coast miserabel. Service im Jungle und Roof gut. Zimmer werden teilweise garnicht bzw. mehr als schlecht gereinigt. Rezeption mehrfach aufgesucht, letzte bitte der Rezeption, schicken sie uns bitte Fotos, dann können wir die Mängel der Reinigungsfirma melden. Ich habe die Fotos gesandt, Hotel reagierte nicht.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel, wir hatten eine Junior Suite, Personal freundlich, Frühstück alles gut. Pool und Spa wunderbar. Wir waren zwar im Dezember dort, aber trotzdem gut. Hatten Tiefgarage dazu gebucht 15€ pro Tag. Kommen nächste mal mit Hund, auf alle Fälle sehr zu empfehlen.

Apenas lamento a falta de educação das crianças e por consequência dos pais que não sabem educar os filhos. Crianças às 23:30 a correr nos corredores do 3° andar quando há muitos clientes que querem descansar. Após ter reclamado para a recepção, não surtiu o efeito necessário. Para quem quer descansar e sendo este hotel conhecido como SPA, não aconselho. Para além de crianças é permitido tb animais que tb ladram e não deixam descansar ninguém.

Ein tolles Hotel mit sehr angenehmen Zimmern und einem schönen SPA.Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und sollte keine Wünsche offen lassen. Perfekt Lage direkt am Strand. Der Empfang/Abreise war sehr nett und das Hotel ist uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. A Home far away from Home.

Thanks for an honest schnitzel with airy breading. The taste is great, but the bowl with chicken is also highly recommended. Price - performance top. Would love to come back.
