We wanted to treat ourselves to something special and unusual for our 12th wedding anniversary. Savory pancakes... Unfortunately, it was neither special nor unusual. We were served quickly, and we weren't served that way afterward. The service left a lot to be desired. Knowing that the plates are a bit larger, you should think about where to place the plate and cutlery on the table. But no, they'd rather yell at the guest to make room so the waitress could serve the food. We were very disappointed with the food itself. The fisherman's pancake with smoked salmon, herring, and crab. All from a discount store. My wife had the diplomat's pancake with watery sauce, canned mushrooms, and very tough pork fillet. I feel sorry for the pig that it had to die twice. Conclusion... No thanks for nothing...

It was so delicious. The price was completely reasonable, and there was nothing to complain about. We received friendly service and would gladly return.

We were just there with four adults and a toddler. The highchair was already ready thanks to our advance reservation, and we even borrowed a book for our little one to pass the time. Everyone was very friendly and highly motivated. But now to the most important point: We all loved the food. Even though we men were initially skeptical about pancakes. 😉 I had pancakes with pork medallions, which were very tender and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended 👍🏻

Since we visited the pancake house twice on our last vacation, a visit was definitely planned for this year as well. Unfortunately, we all agreed that the portions were smaller than last year. The taste was really great, but I find a salmon pancake, for example, simply folded and topped with three slices of salmon for €16 a bit expensive. Unlike last year, I left the pancake house hungry.

We tried the restaurant during our vacation and were absolutely thrilled. They serve a variety of pancakes, both savory and sweet. There are also many variations, like pancakes with Camembert or shrimp, which we've never tried before. We came back a second time on the last day of our vacation. Simply fantastic! You should make a reservation in advance.

Our stay was mixed. The ambiance is positive; you can tell you're in a family-run restaurant. We preferred to sit inside, even though it was quite busy, but they let us in anyway, which was great. The service was very friendly and kind to children. Everything took a little longer, but that may have been due to the high number of customers. The food was mediocre. It tasted good, but we weren't really full. In our opinion, they also used canned mushrooms and frozen shrimp, not fresh ones, as you would expect for that price. The pancakes also only have toppings, with the ingredients baked into the batter, as you would expect in Holland. The pancakes with the more expensive ingredients were folded in half, so only one half needed topping. Even though the food overall wasn't bad, we didn't think it was good value for money. It wasn't a disappointment, but we wouldn't go again.

Die Karte bietet eine tolle Auswahl an süßen und herzhaften Pfannkuchen – unser absoluter Favorit war „Der Diplomat“: unglaublich lecker und mit einer tollen Kombination aus Zutaten. Ein echter Geheimtipp! Das Restaurant ist urig und liebevoll eingerichtet, mit einer warmen, familiären Atmosphäre. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam, auch wenn wir zur Hauptzeit ein wenig auf unser Essen warten mussten – das Warten hat sich aber definitiv gelohnt. Die Portionen sind großzügig, die Preise fair – insgesamt ein sehr gelungenes Erlebnis für die ganze Familie. ➡️ Fazit: Wer Pfannkuchen liebt, ist hier genau richtig. Besonders „Der Diplomat“ hat es uns angetan – wir kommen gerne wieder!

Hands off!!! We waited almost 1.5 hours for our food, and then two meals were forgotten. So we waited another 30 minutes. The service was friendly but very overwhelmed (apparently too much pressure from the boss, who yells at his employees in front of his customers). Unfortunately, we canceled the two forgotten meals. After waiting another 30 minutes for our bill, the boss himself came to our table, and despite the long wait, the mood was surprisingly good. Until then, I was insulted, cursed, and called the boss (just because I suggested the bill should be split). A few more comments were made that I don't want to mention here, otherwise I'll still be working on my review tomorrow. What a shame!! About the food: the mushrooms and pork fillet were partly still raw, no flavor unless you had the "good" Metro hollandaise sauce on your plate.

Die Pfannkuchen sind ein absoluter Traum! Sowohl die herzhaften Pfannkuchen als auch die süßen. Sehr sehr lecker. Wir kennen Pfannkuchenrestaurants auch aus Holland, aber dieses ist bislang das Beste! Auch das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Wie saßen drinnen. Man hätte auch draußen sitzen können. Der Service war auch sehr gut. Also alles in allem absolut empfehlenswert. Wir werden wiederkommen!

Wir waren zum ersten mal in diesem Pfannkuchen Haus. Wir sind alle 4 begeistert von diesem Essen. Es war sehr lecker. Da müsst ihr unbedingt hingehen. Immer wieder gerne kann ich nur sagen.

I've rarely experienced such poor service. One child's drink was forgotten and not brought after repeated requests. It was only delivered after we went to the counter ourselves. Then the second child's food was forgotten and then, after we asked for it, the wrong dish was delivered. After we pointed out that they had ordered applesauce and not Nutella, the child's plate was taken away from under their nose and then applesauce was simply slapped on top of the pancake with Nutella. The cutlery was only brought upon request, after the food was already on the table and getting cold. The service seemed quite overwhelmed. The food was okay, but not outstanding.

Everything was okay, but nothing more. The seasoning was a bit underwhelming, and the pancakes weren't particularly good. The menu could have used a bit more creativity.

As always, it was great. Even without a reservation, we were able to eat. The staff was friendly, attentive, and courteous. Eating there is always a highlight.

Hallo zusammen! Wir waren über das lange WE mit Kind und Hund in Scharbeutz! Natürlich sucht man dann immer ein nettes Restaurant, um abends was leckeres zu Essen. (Allerdings ohne Hund) Da wir schon das Pfannekuchen-Haus auf Föhr kennen, haben wir uns spontan für das Pfannekuchen-Haus in Scharbeutz entschieden. Was soll ich sagen.....die Variante auf Föhr hat definitiv nicht gewonnen! Die Auswahl an Pfannekuchen-Gerichten ist unfassbar gut. Von den Standardvarianten "süß" bis hin zu einer großen und leckeren Auswahl an "herzhaft". Die Bedienung war wahnsinnig sympathisch und hatte einen kleinen Hauch zum norddeutschen Sarkasmus! Einfach liebenswert! Die Pfannekuchen waren mehr als lecker und die Portionen wirklich sehr groß. Der Belag war mehr als üppig und preislich kein Vergleich zu der Insel Föhr. Der kleine Mann hatte einen Pfannkuchen mit Nutella, die Dame mit Ratatouille und Hähnchenbruststreifen, und meine Wenigkeit den "Goliath" mit ordentlich Belag! Wir waren alle pappsatt und rundum glücklich und zufrieden! Wir können das Pfannekuchen-Haus nur empfehlen, da die Auswahl, der Geschmack und auch die Portionsgröße einfach nur sehr gut sind! Definitiv als Alternative zu Gosch, Henssler's Ahoi und Co eine verdammt gute Wahl!

Incredibly cozy and incredibly delicious. We received an extremely friendly, almost familial welcome and service. It was wonderful and highly recommended. Be sure to order the chef's dessert recommendation (preferably for two, because the dishes are plentiful :-)).

We entered the restaurant. It looked quite decent inside, and the servers were friendly. I ordered pancakes but asked for all meat products to be left out, as I'm vegan. I ended up getting a regular portion with just potatoes and pickles, which was fine with me. However, while eating, I noticed that some bacon had been added, even though I had specifically asked for all the meat to be left out. The waitress didn't even offer to replace the dish, so I had to eat carefully to avoid eating the bacon. When I paid, I was told I had received a double portion of pancakes, even though that wasn't true. The server also shouted at me very loudly when I said I wasn't paying for a double portion because I didn't get what I wanted. In the end, I had to pay for the double portion, which was very expensive. The customer service is very poor and disrespectful.

We had a fantastic strawberry pancake from the daily special. Upon request, they added Nutella. It was a truly delicious pancake, and I highly recommend it.

At first I was a bit shocked when putting together the offer, but after serving it was a very positive surprise. 3 people three different savory pancakes. All well coordinated and delicious. Highly recommended. Unfortunately, as everywhere, there is a lack of staff, but we were informed that it could take a little longer. Everything is fresh, so the wait doesn't matter.

There were 9 of us there, there was plenty of space. It was brilliant, we have never eaten pancakes so delicious. We'll definitely go there again.

We were in Scharbeutz for a few days and really wanted to eat pancakes. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn't open until 5 p.m. - and what we didn't like so much: reservations are only possible the day before, as no one can be reached before 5 p.m. This makes it a little difficult for spontaneous visitors or families who want to remain flexible. Nevertheless, the friendly service found a place for us - thank you for that! The food was delicious, freshly prepared and the children loved it too. Overall, highly recommended – but it’s better to plan and reserve well in advance!

We were there in February and what can I say we were thrilled. There are pancakes for every taste that are very tasty. The welcome was very warm and friendly. The atmosphere is very cozy, so we will come back when we are nearby.

We spontaneously wanted to eat something. Door was closed even though Google said it was open. There were two people inside who weren't disturbed by our knocking. As a result, we can't judge much about the food or the service. It's a shame, but we won't try to eat there again...

First of all, a friendly and inviting pub-style restaurant. Acceptable service. Suitable for a sober, cold atmosphere without music. Unfortunately, we were unlucky because the sweet Calvados pancake was served to us very browned, almost burnt. Unfortunately this was tasty. We were also disappointed with the selection of sweet pancakes. (As an idea: perhaps a weekly/monthly unusual sweet variant with sea buckthorn, marzipan, etc.) . The hearty selection and quality is great.

Gorgeous generous servings of pancakes! I started off with half a camembert with cranberry sauce and a slice of pear, then the apple pancakes with ice cream and raisin. I'm so full that they'll need a crane to put me on my plane home! The service was fab and the location felt cosy and homely!

Every year we come from Bavaria (Kaufbeuren) to eat here because they are simply the best pancakes ever. It was once again super tasty and very nice. For everyone who believes pancakes can't fill you up and are addictive, you haven't been to the pancake house yet. Every year again. :)

We made a reservation there with 6 friends and got a great place. Everything was wonderfully uncomplicated and exceptionally nice. The waitress gave us wonderful advice on drinks and food. All in all, more than a successful final meal for our vacation! We were very warmly welcomed when we made the reservation, dogs are also welcome both outside and inside. Will only come out of season in the future. Unfortunately, on our last visit we only had mediocre food (tough meat, watery cream sauce, pancakes that were a bit too dark) after a long wait before we even got a menu. The drinks arrived after a long delay. We weren't even served until 30 minutes after we arrived. The service itself was obviously very overwhelmed, which is why its friendliness left a lot to be desired. We were able to observe how guests who had reserved had to wait 20 minutes for a seat. No comparison to the off-season visit. The food has always been great and the service has been very good too. So the restaurant obviously doesn't cope well with many guests...

The pancakes were ok, but you can't go wrong with them either. However, the service was so subpar that it almost seemed comical. I have rarely felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant. Hitting your thumb with a hammer all evening might be more pleasant.

We decided to visit the pancake house today because of the many positive reviews, but unfortunately we were disappointed. The pancakes – both savory and sweet – were consistently very greasy. While the sweet versions had a convincing taste despite their greasiness, we felt that the savory pancakes lacked the necessary sophistication. Unfortunately, overall the experience did not meet our expectations.
