Viethouse in Elmshorn

Visited the Viethouse restaurant with a friend in the early afternoon of the week. Overall, fewer visitors present. To order: Ordered a soup with tofu and lemongrass as well as vegetarian spring rolls in advance. Then ordered a vegetarian grill plate with delicious tofu and curry with vegetables and crispy chicken. It should be emphasized that there are options for the main courses (e.g. 42 a-f) so you can add your desired main side dish. This is especially important for vegetarians, that you can order all dishes with a vegetarian main side dish - top! Super friendly service and the food came in no time... I would highly recommend the Vietnamese restaurant, I could also imagine that it would be very busy in the evening ☺️

You can eat here without regrets! Very good Vietnamese cuisine, with very friendly service. Great dishes like noodle soups, rice dishes and of course sushi! And all of this at surprisingly good prices.

Four out of six guests received their orders for the appetizers. The other two starters came when the other four were already finished. Then: Unfriendly discussions with the service staff when six out of six guests wanted their sushi platters separated and not on a shared platter. However, three out of six guests still got a shared platter. However, this was not pointed out when serving. I recommend that guests count the number of sushi they order, as the service staff simply points out that you could tell from the platter that three orders were served on one platter. Be that as it may, it wasn't ordered. Coronation: Cashless payment is explicitly stated at the entrance door. It is only when you pay the bill of 166 euros that you are informed that card payment is unfortunately not possible. Someone then has to go to the nearest bank and get cash. Some of the food was very good, but the rice in the sushi was tasteless and absolutely cheap. In any case, six guests will neither recommend this restaurant nor visit it again.

The ambience is very nice and the food (especially the larger sushi plates) is just as nicely presented. Still, the rice tasted like water and cheap. The staff was also rude and wanted to separate our plates so that we could distinguish between our sushi, to which we only got a curt answer (of course the sushi wasn't separated and 2 of them "forgot" about it for ages). In the end, the cherry on the cake was that no card payment was possible, which we weren't told at the beginning.

The food was very tasty, looked really great and was a large portion. The waitresses were super nice and the atmosphere was impressive and appealing. It was also quite busy, which isn't surprising given the quality of the food. We can only warmly recommend it and look forward to your next visit!

Beautiful shop, honestly! You felt very comfortable, very pleasant atmosphere. The food was extremely tasty and beautifully prepared. Staff was super nice and helpful. My family and I really enjoyed it and we will definitely come back again!

Great shop! Great atmosphere, very good food (try the fried sushi) and fair prices characterize the shop. You can also eat in an Asian style at lowered tables near the window front. Clear recommendation.

A corresponding dinner in a quiet atmosphere. The dishes came surprisingly quickly and were hot, the sauces served were refined and complemented the taste of the starters well. The service worked well even though the lady served all the tables alone at dinner time, which also excused the fact that we weren't asked for drinks a second time. Really great value for money!

We went there spontaneously without a reservation. We were offered a table straight away. We had just had the starter and then the main course arrived. After we finished eating, we cleared away straight away. A few minutes later we were more or less thrown out and asked whether we wanted to pay with cash or cards. At no point was the question asked whether we might want to drink something else. Some of our drinks were still half full. We found this very unpleasant and stressful and we would no longer go there to eat, even though we enjoyed it very much. This “kicking out” seems to be common practice there too, as we also noticed it with other guests on site. Too bad!

Very nice ambience. We had noodles with chicken and rice, roasted chicken with red curry. Food was delicious. Very pleasant ambience. Nice and warm staffs. Price is very reasonable. Suitable for birthdays and celebration lunches and dinners.

We ordered food here for pickup for the first time today and we weren't disappointed: great food, good portions and very good quality! The order was placed over the phone without any problems, half an hour later we were able to receive the food and enjoy it still hot 10 minutes later. The restaurant also makes a very nice and well-kept impression, and the next meal is then enjoyed on site - for us the best restaurant of its kind in Elmshorn!

I can highly recommend starters such as summer rolls, salad with chicken and coconut milk soup. The Pho soup is also good. The homemade ginger tea with orange is very tasty, and the lemonade was the best in Elmshorn so far. The owner is very nice and sometimes comes to the table, and the rest of the staff are also very attentive.

Went there on a Saturday without a reservation, which wasn't a problem. Price performance completely ok, food tasted good and was sufficient. Service could be improved. At first there was only one person there, who had to walk a lot. Later there were four of them, but then they were all just behind the counter. I thought the service would be better after 8 months, but nothing has changed. A pity.

The food is delicious. There are 5 stars for this. But it has now happened several times in a very short space of time that take-away orders were simply not prepared and the restaurant only started preparing them when they were picked up. I hope this problem will be solved. As I said, the food is really great!

Recently ordered food via the online site and specified card payment in the restaurant for collection and when ordering, then I arrived on time and was supposed to pay and then he simply said card payment only from 15€, where I pointed out to him that they would then also do it On the online site they mention that card payments are only possible from €15 and the employee is simply unprofessional and can't speak German very well.

We were here for the first time yesterday based on the good reviews. And yes the food was good and the sushi was super fresh! But the service leaves a lot to be desired. The food came separately so that my main course was almost cold when the sushi for my wife arrived. Drinks are not even asked. When I asked for the bill when the dessert was served (which was delicious), it didn't come at all. The condition preferred to be on the “cell phone” at the counter. This was the tastiest sushi we have ever eaten. I also had fried noodles with chicken, a simple dish but incredibly beautifully presented and perfectly seasoned. We would drive the 60km again and again to eat here!

Not only does it look incredibly delicious. It tastes fantastic!!! Fried dishes have a great taste. Sushi is freshly prepared straight away. Unfortunately I can't like the atmosphere. But that's a matter of taste. Unfortunately, I also ate the worst crispy chicken with peanut sauce and rice I've ever had there. It was crispy, but the meat was overcooked, tough and rubbery. This only happens if you use very cheap meat or standard frozen meat. First and last visit.

We spent 6 weeks in Vietnam and the food at Viethouse Elmshorn is really tasty! Nice ambience, sympathetic staff. Highly recommendable.

Sehr köstliches Essen, fairer Preis und gute Portionen

Wir waren jetzt das zweite Mal (extra Zwischenstopp auf dem Weg nach Glückstadt) dort. Mega lecker und super preiswert. Ich kann die negativen Bewertungen nicht verstehen. Tipp, der Ingwertee... da kann man die lecker scharfen frischen Ingwerstreifen noch rauslöffeln und mit ins Essen geben. Einziger kleiner Punkt ist die nicht/kaum vorhandene Schärfe im Essen selbst wenn scharf auf der Karte steht (ok für den deutschen Standartgeschmack wohl schon gut gewürzt). Es steht aber eine Flasche Asiaketchup auf dem Tisch ;-).

Wie immer super lecker und frisch .Das Sushi ist super lecker vor allem die Tempura Rollen .Empfehlenswert ist es einen Tisch zu bestellen .Es ist zumindest Abends am Wochenende immer sehr voll .Trotzdem schneller Service. Wir waren schon öfters dort .Der Platz an der Tür ist etwas kalt ,weil es zieht ,wenn die Tür auf und zu geht. Aber trotzdem ist es unser Lieblingsladen .Von uns eine absulute Empfehlung .

Nettes kleines Restaurant das mit einer spitzen Küche überrascht. Die Speisen sehen hervorragend aus und die Cocktails sehen aus als kämen sie von einem Fotoshooting. Das alles zu Hammer Preisen . Danke 👍

Sehr lecker gewürzt, angenehm im Magen - Wohlfühl-Essen!

Sehr toller Laden!! Waren zum ersten Mal da und es wurde direkt auf meine Wünsche eingegangen. Da ich keine Avocado mag, wusste ich nicht ob ich trotzdem ein Sushi-Menü holen kann. Als ich es ansprach sagten diese, dass es kein Problem ist und sie eine andere Zutat benutzen können. Generell waren die Angestellten sehr nett und ich hab mich direkt in dem Restaurant wohl gefühlt. Das Essen hat auch sehr gut geschmeckt und es war preislich sehr großzügig. Hab beim nächsten Mal rotes Curry mit Garnelen genommen und es war so lecker. Muss seitdem regelmäßig hier hin um dieses Curry zu essen. Am liebsten mag ich die Limonade mit Limette (das erste Getränk bei Limonaden).

Sehr leckeres Essen zu einem guten Preis. Süßes Ambiente und das Essen ist schnell fertig. Der einzig neutral zu sehene Punkt ist, dass die Bedienung etwas "kalt" wirkt. Kommen gerne wieder.

Wir lieben asiatisch und gehen oft Essen. Dieses Lokal ist mit Abstand eines der Besten. Es ist super lecker, egal was man dort isst und es trieft nicht von Fett. Es gibt noch die Konkurrenz in der Umgebung, aber die kann hier nicht mithalten.

Ich war zum 2. Mal da. Die Angestellten sind freundlich und immer um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht. Das Essen ist mega lecker!

Ich begreife nicht warum es nicht verstanden wird das beim Essen zum Mitnehmen die Soßen dazugehören und nicht nur eine ganz kleine Schale mit Sojasoße! Es hat schon zweimal nicht geklappt !

Sehr lecker! Es gibt eine große Auswahl an Gerichten. Die Vorspeisen sind sehr lecker.

Dieses Etablissement besticht durch einzigartige Fähigkeiten auch wirklich jede Bestellung falsch zusammen zu stellen. 3 mal bestellt und es fehlte was, es gab falsche Gerichte oder beides. Bestellen und abholen ist hier zum scheitern verurteilt. Würden sie selbst liefern, würde dieses Restaurant bestimmt bei jeder Fahrt mehrfach auf eigene Kosten den Kunden anfahren müssen oder die falschen Gerichte wieder abholen müssen. Bestellt man für mehrere hat es bisher nie geklappt das man sein Essen auch gemeinsam ohne Problem zu essen. Dadurch wird auch nach Klärung („kommen sie wider her und wir gucken“) nichts besser wenn nie eine Bestellung klappt! Diesen Ärger ist die durchschnittliche Qualität nicht wert. Fehler kann mal passieren, aber absolut nicht empfehlenswert für eine Bestellung.

Das Essen war nicht sonderlich gut, es hat mir persönlich an Gewürzen gefehlt. Dazu kam, dass das Personal unfreundlich war und nicht auf Wünsche eingegangen ist (z.B. wurde ein falsches Getränk serviert).

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant. Hunde sind hier erlaubt. Das Personal freundlich, das Essen ist einfach ein Traum. Wir gehen sehr gerne dort Essen.

Das Ambiente ist wirklich zum staunen Wow! Das Essen geht so. Sushi war sehr trocken. Das Reisnudelgericht Nr. 26 kam auch nicht wirklich gut an. Dafür kam die Nr. 20 ganz gut an und hat sehr gesättigt. Dafür sind die Preise echt gering.

Wir waren zu viert unterwegs und haben uns für dieses niedliche Restaurant entschieden. So ein tolles Ambiente mit wunderschöner Einrichtung! Wir alle haben uns unterschiedliche Gerichte bestellt. Ich hatte die Nr. 33 mit Tofu und das Essen war ein Traum! Auch mein Kollege meint, das Sushi “war Killa!!!!” Definitiv eine 10/10 und ich werde bestimmt wieder vorbeikommen!

Wir fanden es im Innenraum nicht so gemütlich. Die Bratnudeln, die Suppe und auch die Ente waren sehr lecker, die Bedienung ausgesprochen freundlich.

Essen wirkte authentisch und hat geschmeckt. Service war etwas unaufmerksam trotz nicht wirklich gefülltem Laden.
