Essen war ok. Extrem unfreundliche Chefin. Hab mich schon das zweitemal geärgert. Trage mein Geld zukünftig woanders hin.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr Familien freundlich und das Personal ist richtig nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Großes Lob an dieser Stelle ☺️

Sorry aber so schlecht war ich noch nie essen.Alles sehr sehr trocken und der ouzo hat richtig nach Wasser geschmeckt und war warm.

Sorry das geht gar nicht aber unser beider überbackenes Gyros mit Pommes war leider echt trocken und zu hart und die Pommes waren bereits kalt und labberig. Waren das erste mal dort aber kommen auch nicht wieder.

Sehr freundliches Personal, trotz besteḷlter "kleine Portion" bekommt man eine ausreichende Menge auf den Teller. Ambiente ist nicht mit dem üblichen griechischen Schnikschnak dekoriert.

Das Essen schmeckte sehr gut und war reichlich. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und es wurde mehrfach nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr gemütlich und sauber. Sehr zu empfehlen 🙂

Seit vielen Jahren ein tolles Restaurant mit netter Gastgeberin, gutem Service und sehr leckerem Essen in hoher Qualität mit Fleisch aus der Region. Nettes Ambiente vor Ort, gute Portionen und faire Preise. Auch außer Haus ist empfehlenswert. Wir kommen gerne immer wieder.

Hier kann man immer, und meist auch spontan ohne Reservierung, gut einkehren. Die Chefin hat hier alles im Griff, warten muss hier keiner. Die Portionen sind super, schon fast zu groß. Aber dafür gibt es ja Tupper um den Rest mitzunehmen. Immer wieder gerne.

Ich kann negative Beiträge nicht nachvollziehen, seit Jahren bin ich gerne Gast und bin noch nie enttäuscht worden die Qualität der Service und Freundlichkeit hat nie nachgelassen und gehe mindestens einmal im Monat weiterhin dort Essen

Wir waren nun zum zweiten Mal hier und haben den Abend wirklich genossen. Das Ambiente ist außergewöhnlich, aber es dürfte mal mit dem Staubwedel die Spinnenweben von der Grottendecke entfernt werden. Der Service ist in Ordnung. Die Kellnerin war nett, musste aber mehrere Sachen nachfragen. Absolut positiv muss man sagen, dass gleich nach der Frage nach glutenfreien Essen, die Chefin an den Tisch kam und unsere Fragen sehr souverän beantworten konnte. Wirklich top! Die Speisen sind so soooooo gut! Alle an unserem Tisch waren mehr, als zu Frieden. Ich persönlich liebe den frittierten Schafskäse im Teigmantel mit Honig, Balsamico und Pistazien. Danach benötige ich kein großes Hauptgericht mehr. Mein Mann mag besonders bei den Vorspeisen den Ziegenkäse in Serrano auf süßer Feigensauce. Reservierung würde ich immer empfehlen, da es auch schon mal sehr gut gefüllt ist. Parkplätze sind vorhanden, aber auch schon mal schnell vergeben. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Sehr gutes Essen und Getränke. Selbst die kleinen Gerichte sind enorm groß. Der Salat vorweg hat ein ganz tolles Dressing und das selbst gemachte Brot ist spitze. Das es vor und nach dem Essen Ouzo gibt ist auch nicht selbstverständlich. Auf Änderungswünsche wird selbstverständlich sofort eingegangen. Rebekka ist eine herzliche Inhaberin. Ein großer überdachter Biergarten rundet das Ambiente ab. Wir sind dort gerne Stammgäste.

Jedes Jahr zwei oder drei mal dort um mit alten Freunden aus der Schule Zeit zu verbringen. Immer nett zu uns gewesen und mittlerweile kennen sie uns.

Das Essen war weitestgehend wirklich gut. Allerdings waren die Pizzen richtig hart und trocken.

This used to be a very good Greek restaurant. Things can always go wrong, but today was the third time the food quality was rather poor. The tomatoes were completely tasteless, and the peppers were old and hard. The fries had more dark spots than usual, but the worst part was the incredibly tough meat. I had to spit out four or five pieces because they were simply inedible. It's a real shame because I used to be a fan of this Greek restaurant... but not anymore.

The Meteora restaurant has been a fixture in Elmshorn for a long time, and its design, reminiscent of a stalactite cave, certainly makes it unique. However, it could use a refresh, perhaps with some chipped paint. The food is more than adequate and tasty. The ouzo offered beforehand could be improved; it wasn't the kind you'd expect from close friends, and the starter salad was nothing special. The food and drinks were served quickly, but after that, the staff seemed to ignore us. They made plenty of rounds, so we could have easily asked for more drinks or dessert. It's a shame; we would have gladly stayed for another meal or two, and the restaurant deserves better service. Overall, it's a good restaurant with room for improvement in a few areas.

I've been eating at this restaurant for over a decade now and have always been completely satisfied. The owner, in particular, is incredibly friendly and always manages to make me feel like I've come home. There's a truly lovely, family-friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend the dishes with Metaxa sauce—I've never had such a delicious sauce at any other Greek restaurant. In short: I'd love to go back!

First of all, I unfortunately couldn't take a picture of the food I ordered because I would have destroyed my phone in sheer anger. The food was simply abysmally bad; the meat was sour and smelled like it. It was a complete impertinence to ask a guest that. You couldn't complain at the table because you were skillfully ignored, as the manager, or whatever she was, had apparently seen your dissatisfaction. When I asked about the bad food at the counter when paying, the "first-class" meat was praised to the skies and no criticism was accepted. Just go to a decent Greek or Croatian restaurant here in Elmshorn and avoid this restaurant at all costs.

Well, we ate there three weeks ago. The food wasn't very tasty, and it wasn't presented in an appetizing way. The manager was the worst when it came to paying. She slammed the table on us, saying, "HERE'S THE BILL." It's no wonder the guests then look for something else 😉. Hence, three 👎👎👎

Absolutely. We were there with a group. Except for one person, we were very satisfied with our food choices. My meat was tender and well-seasoned, and the side dishes were plentiful. The staff was attentive and friendly.

5 stars, clearly. We were in this restaurant by chance in 2019 and were impressed by the food and the honesty of the restaurant manager. Now, in April 2025, we were back in the area and of course we couldn't miss a visit to the restaurant. The food, the ambience and the way they look after the guests is above average and deserves high praise! I ordered some more garlic and also got olive oil. BUT, not from any supermarket, but from a Greek olive farmer - simply unbeatable in taste. Add the Greek potatoes to the lamb chops, then the fantastic olive oil and garlic - this is how the gods eat. Thank you very much for the pleasant stay in your restaurant, we would be happy to come back, unfortunately we live over 200 km away, that's the small problem.

Four of us spontaneously went to Meteora on a Saturday evening. Overall, the ambience seems a bit outdated - from the interior design to the layout of the menus to the dishes, you have the feeling of having arrived in the early 90s. The same applies to the choice of food. “Solid” would probably describe it aptly, but if you're a vegetarian you have a very, very bad chance of getting a main course. The service felt extremely impatient with us, the waitress came to the table every thirty seconds until we finally ordered. About the food: The liver was far too bloody, the gyros was dry, the bifteki apparently came from a wholesaler. Unfortunately, the fried zucchini and eggplant slices were inedible. Only the Metaxa sauce that one of us had tasted really good. Overall, operators should think about bringing the Meteora into the present.

Absolute recommendation. Super tasty food, price right and generous portions. Very clean restaurant and quaint atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

Nice interior design and lots of space outside, large parking lot. Service diligent, but overwhelmed with large company.

The pork fillet was unfortunately extremely mixed, but tasted very good. The Metaxa sauce definitely made up for it, it was really damn tasty. My companion's lamb skewers were said to be very good. The service was good, but (I suspect due to the event) not as present as I would like. All the staff were very friendly and the price-performance ratio was reasonable.

We love eating here. Menu is very good and not as monotonous as others. The only thing that bothers us is that you get the main course too quickly. You usually get them while you're still eating your coleslaw or bread. And if you order a real starter you can still get the main course just as quickly. It would be nice if the kitchen took a lot more time, because that's why I don't order starters anymore. Otherwise everything is great and we still drive about 20 minutes extra to Elmshorn because we love eating there

I spontaneously went to Meteora with my girlfriend around 9 p.m. After waiting for 10 minutes, I found an operator with his cell phone in his hand and apparently already in after-work mode. I found this quite interesting as the restaurant is supposed to be open until 11pm. But after that everything happened quickly. The food was OK, but not great. I know better Greeks there.

Selten habe ich so schlecht griechisch gegessen. Das Gyros schwamm im Fett und war zudem noch gnubelig. Schlechte Qualität. Der Salat ertrank im Dressing. Das Schweinesteak war zäh und trocken. Aber der Hammer war der Zaziki - eine wabbelige weiße Masse ohne Geschmack. Es war auch keine Gurke drin. Das war mal der beste Grieche in Elmshorn. Die Betonung liegt auf "war".

A typical Greek, as I'm used to from before. Great food, lamb steak for example, crispy on the outside, pink and buttery on the inside. Coleslaw before meals, with fresh bread. Great ambience, super nice service. Absolutely recommended!!! Anyone who knows my reviews knows that this is meant very seriously.

solid Greek restaurant...family business

We ate here with some friends when visiting Elmshorn. Most of us ordered the Gyros which were delicious and the portions were huge. We also enjoyed the Retsina and found the meal to be extremely good value. If you're in the area, then this restaurant is recommended.

The Greek restaurant impresses with its excellent cuisine, authentic ambience and friendly service. The fresh ingredients and the variety of flavors of the dishes make every visit a pleasure. Absolutely recommended for lovers of Greek cuisine!

Food was, to put it nicely, very sober. There are more spices than salt and pepper. The service was very nice at the beginning but unfortunately the young man was off work in the meantime. The lady afterwards was relatively unfriendly. I know what it's like when you serve the food straight to the table and don't have to push through the guests at a table of four!! While covering it, the lady lost the cutlery on my friend's lap, there was no excuse, only the saying they could put it back on the plate. But the fact that you have to pay 1 euro to take the leftovers with you is basically OK, but you could have pointed that out.

2. Mal: Service schlecht, vieles durcheinander gebracht. Salat unter dicken Fertigdressing. Mein Essen zu Tode frittiert, dass es nur nach Fett und Öl schmeckte. Beilagen waren falsch, sollten nachkommen, kamen aber nicht. Um Majo gebeten, Quetschflasche hingestellt bekommen. Milchkaffee bestellt, es kam Latte Macchiato und noch nicht mal richtig heiß. Wir kommen nicht wieder 1. Mal: Zaziki wässrig, Bifteki nicht durch und nicht mit Schafskäse, auch viel zu viel Käse, eher Hack-Cordon-Bleu. Lammspieß auch kein qualitativ gutes Fleisch. Salat lieblos, an Tischen kein Salz und Pfeffer oder dergleichen. Bedienung - Angestellte freundlich - Chefin Gegenteil. Wirkt lustlos und gleichgültig. Viele Produkte nicht selbst gemacht. Zaziki kommt aus großem Pott, Salatdressing aus der Flasche. Bifteki Konvektomat.Das überbackene Gyros von unserem Freund war überhäuft mit Käse und ertrunken in Sauce. Hingeschlotzt einfach, Bratkartoffeln dazu, aber auf dem Zaziki in einer Schüssel, so dass sich das Öl davon mit dem Fertigquark mischte. Kein Hauch von Frische oder Knobi

Nun kenne ich die Inhaber schon viele Jahre. Da ich aber recht "krüsch" bin, denke ich dennoch objektiv genug zu sein, als dass ich die dortige Location sowohl qualitativ und auch preislich absolut empfehlen kann.

Das Restaurant Meteora in Elmshorn ist ein echter Geheimtipp für alle Fans griechischer Küche. Das Restaurant ist in einer stilvollen Tropfsteinhöhle untergebracht und bietet ein gemütliches und einladendes Ambiente. Die Speisekarte bietet eine große Auswahl an traditionellen griechischen Gerichten, die mit viel Liebe und Sorgfalt zubereitet werden. Ich habe die Gyro-Platte mit gegrilltem Lammfleisch, Souvlaki, Tzatziki und Pitabrot probiert und war begeistert. Das Fleisch war zart und saftig, und die Soßen waren köstlich. Auch die Griechische Vorspeisenplatte mit Taramasalata, Tsatsiki, Oliven und Feta war sehr lecker. Die Portionen sind großzügig und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut. Das Servicepersonal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Insgesamt kann ich das Restaurant Meteora in Elmshorn uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Es ist ein toller Ort, um einen Abend mit Freunden oder Familie zu verbringen und griechische Küche zu genießen.
