Up the stairs, but it's worth it. Very friendly service, delicious food, even on our second visit. The spices are well-balanced; if it gets too spicy, they can let you know beforehand. Even in the off-season, there was plenty of space at 6 pm. There were lots of takeaway orders...

A very, very good Asian restaurant. Slightly hidden away, and the ambiance is typical of an Asian restaurant – simple and understated. But the food was excellent, and the service was pleasant and friendly. We were on a short trip to Fehmarn, and this was the best place to eat, with fantastic value for money. The menu was extensive, and the food was indeed MSG-free. If it was spicy, it was spicy. Not your average Asian restaurant. Highly recommended!

We ordered by phone. While we were waiting for our food, a customer came to the counter because people had already been waiting for their food for over an hour. The owners were quite loud and upset. A huge commotion ensued. The food was delicious, but the service was abysmal. Other guests had ordered one appetizer but were served three. Another table sat without drinks and watched their watch.

VietThai on Fehmarn – still an absolute insider tip! I really can't understand the few negative reviews. This isn't an anonymous restaurant, but a family that cooks with heart and soul – and you can taste it. It's authentic down to the last detail: The children help out in the evenings, and you can feel that sense of family togetherness – that's just how it is back home. And that's exactly what makes this place so special. The food is simply fantastic: From Vietnamese specialties to sushi – everything is fresh, delicious, and honestly prepared. The menu is huge (and yes, our friends have probably tried almost everything 😄) – and every dish is truly impressive. You can see that they're constantly investing in and improving – in the dishes, the interior, the processes. Everything is done step by step, with attention to detail. 👉 My conclusion: Don't be fooled by the simple exterior – authenticity, passion, and true craftsmanship lie within. A place with heart, taste, and soul – and unbeatable value for money. We wish this wonderful family a long and lasting stay on Fehmarn. It's great that you exist! ❤️🍜🍣

Despite all the recommendations, the food was very poor. The spaghetti in the fried noodles didn't taste like spaghetti at all, and the crispy chicken didn't taste like chicken either. The service was absolutely unresponsive to the customers. The main thing was that the customers had food and were quickly away from the table.

After a long wait, I ate something really bad. My wife even had to hug the toilet bowl that evening. Food 0 points. Ambience just barely gets a 1 point. Service maybe just a 1 point. We waited forever for someone to take our drinks. The kitchen seems to have confused sweet and sour with chili. They should also consider using the duster, because there's dust everywhere. The windows could also use a cleaning. The cleanest thing in the entire restaurant was probably the restroom. A shame. I actually prefer writing positive reviews.

High-quality looks different. At best, this is an average, run-of-the-mill Asian restaurant, offering generous portions at reasonable prices. The spring rolls were frozen, as is often the case, the sweet and sour duck was crispy, and the rice portion was sufficient. The rice was too sticky for me—that's because it was overcooked. Service was attentive, if you can overlook the fact that the food was served with a cloth (surely just a moment of inattention). Conclusion: full, yes, but not a second visit!

I recently visited this restaurant and was truly impressed. The food was outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great attention to detail. The menu selection was also varied and left nothing to be desired. One small criticism I have to make: I found it a bit inappropriate that the staff served guests in sweatpants or tracksuit jackets. I've never experienced anything like that in a restaurant of this quality before, and for me, it somewhat detracted from the otherwise harmonious overall impression. Nevertheless, I can absolutely recommend the restaurant. If you value great food, this is the place to go.

The food is of excellent quality and very reasonably priced. Particularly impressive is the large selection of Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai dishes, which offers a diverse range of culinary experiences. The service is extremely friendly and attentive, making you feel at home at all times. The ambiance is pleasant, though not unusual. The restaurant is located on the second floor and is accessible via a somewhat inconspicuous entrance on the right side of the building and a staircase, making it a bit of an insider tip. Overall, a highly recommended restaurant with excellent value for money and a wide range of culinary offerings.

Luckily, there were so many good reviews online that we found what we were looking for and decided to try this restaurant. The food was excellent, and we were very satisfied with our starters and main courses! The service was super attentive. We probably wouldn't have ended up there as walk-ins, as it doesn't look that inviting from the outside, but given the location, that's probably not our priority anyway. We'll definitely be back! The value for money was excellent!

We only ended up here because the wait at the Asian snack bar around the corner was too long. And that was a real stroke of luck 😃 The outside is rather plain, and while the inside is nicely Asian, it's a bit "meh." The menu is extensive, and the service is quick and friendly. A small mistake was immediately corrected, and the food arrived soon after. And it was delicious and just as spicy as described on the menu, very good. The final bill was surprisingly small (the smallest of our entire vacation so far), and all in all, we're giving it 5* as a definite recommendation. We'd gladly return 👍🏼

Friendly service, decent food (the pasta wasn't so good). They should definitely reprint the menu. We ordered 0.25l drinks and only got 0.2l. The next table also only got a 0.3l beer instead of a 0.5l.

A somewhat dated restaurant. "Okay" from the outside, but neat and clean inside, if a bit noisy. The food was good, plentiful, and reasonably priced. Plus, there wasn't a long wait for the food. The only Asian restaurant in town, definitely recommended as an alternative to fish.

Other guests arrived later, but they received their drinks fairly quickly. Okay, let's forget about it. The food arrived, and I thought, what's going on? Barely any noodles on the plate. A few strips of chicken at the 54. I asked, it's a normal portion. Maybe for an 8-year-old, but not for a teenager or adult. Calculating is key in the restaurant industry. They probably miscalculated today's guests/pick-ups. Too bad. I got my son something from MC's afterward. So, that's it for Viet-Thai for now.

Eating in has always been very good. Now we tried takeout, and it was a complete disaster. Ordered noodles and got sticky rice. The duck was cold (5 minutes from the shop to the table), and the sauce was thin as water. All in all, not recommended.

I absolutely cannot understand the positive reviews. This was the worst meal I've ever eaten. The noodles tasted like nothing! Peanut sauce ran past a peanut, but nothing more. The meat is overcooked. And when I complained by phone, they hung up on me in the middle of it. The nerve!

I've never eaten anything so bad from an Asian restaurant in my entire life. The pictures on the website don't reflect the dishes I ordered at all. The noodles taste like nothing, the baked chicken tastes store-bought, and the vegetables are tough. Unfortunately, there's no 0/5.

Incredibly delicious and freshly prepared food. I've never been disappointed here and have been coming here several times a year for many years. And the sushi they offer... A DREAM... I've tried a lot of sushi, but this is amazing. Definitely worth a visit if you're on Fehmarn.

One of the only shops where I like the undon soup. At the others they always add crab and so on. I think that doesn't always have to be the case. It's always great to prepare something nice and normal and not so difficult. The food is really great, I must say. The service is also great and I also like the decoration.

I can confirm the other reviews. It's a bit off-putting from the outside, and the interior is also rather simple and dated, but the food is very tasty, high-quality, and the service is friendly. Prices are reasonable, too. If we go on holiday here again, we'll definitely come back for dinner.

Update 06/2025 This time it was very good again. As I said, if we put a little more heart and soul into the decor and upkeep, everything would be even better. The food was delicious and plentiful. We were here with three people (female, 63, 65, male, 53). What's not so great is the access, not counting the disabled (stairs to the first floor). The decor and furnishings could use some TLC. Otherwise, everything was good.

It's rather unassuming from the outside, but the food is incredibly delicious and the service is excellent. We'll be back.

Upon entering the restaurant, a member of staff greets guests, assigns them a seat, and presents them with a very extensive menu. After ordering, the food arrives piping hot at the table. The staff are very attentive and always ask if everything is OK. This restaurant is highly recommended for its taste and appearance. Whether Asian or Indian, everyone will find their dream dish here. We were thrilled and will return when we visit Burg on Fehmarn.

Yes, I can highly recommend this place, very happily in fact (even if I risk not being able to get a table so easily at some point *g*). Quite inconspicuous from the outside and also unusual when you walk in, but this changes as soon as you are greeted warmly by the staff and served without having to wait long. There is a family atmosphere among the staff, which at least has a pretty positive effect on me. The menu is attractive and clearly laid out, and there is no shortage of choice. Whether it is a truly excellent soup or a portion of tasty edamame as a starter, or duck as a main course and, for example, a dessert of baked bananas with honey, everything is delicious and appetizingly presented. They even have a lunch menu and you can order food to go. Of course, there are also the classics, like fried noodles/fried rice, which are always a hit. What's still quite uninteresting to me personally, but perhaps interesting to others, is the "enormous" selection of sushi on the menu, which, judging by the other guests (sorry), is presented in a very attractive manner and is apparently very tasty. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant, and I/we are leaning towards becoming regulars.

Upstairs you enter a spacious dining room. When we were there in the afternoon, the place was almost empty. Large and clear menu with a good spread of flavors. Fresh, freshly prepared food with good basic seasoning. A plus because they have Bitburger on tap.

We had a delicious meal here and received very friendly service. Unfortunately, from the outside, you wouldn't think the place is worth a visit.

I can highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. A great family who really rocks this place. Everything tastes amazing and the prices are more than fair. We come here every Tuesday and are blown away by the service, the food, and everything else. Thank you so much, Viet-Thai.

Extremely delicious, definitely in the top 3 of the best sweet and sour duck I've ever eaten. You can tell afterwards that this isn't cooked with MSG. Beautifully presented, and kids are welcome too.

We ordered something to take away over the phone. From the outside you are a bit unsure at first to be honest BUT the service was very good. So friendly!!! The food was incredibly delicious! It's a shame that we were only there as holidaymakers and can't eat here more often!

Other recessions brought us here and we were pleasantly surprised. From the outside, no, we wouldn't have gone in here, the ambience was ok but could certainly be improved. A huge selection of dishes, including things that aren't necessarily commonplace, the food was really excellent, the presentation of the food was also very tasty, beautiful plates also make a big difference. Delicious drinks. Staff very friendly. We really liked it and we will recommend it.

After a long time we wanted to order something again, which turned out to be a complete failure. We were told several times on the phone what we wanted to order and it was ordered correctly. Unfortunately the wrong food was prepared for us. We noticed this at home and we called them and explained the situation - something like that can happen, we thought. We would have liked to bring it back. But the lady on the phone insisted we had ordered it that way - it wouldn't be her fault. So we paid our money for something we don't want to eat. No thanks, we'll never eat here again!

Don't let the building, the entrance area, the staircase or the dining room put you off! Once you accept the imaginative mix of Las Vegas and Far Eastern fast food in these areas, you can expect fast and friendly service. The food was very good, and because that was the deciding factor for me, I'm happy to give it 5 stars. Since the reviews are certainly also read by the operators, I assume that they will take note of the criticism of the facilities/ambience and, if necessary, change something about it. But maybe that's unnecessary, especially since the take-away business seems to be doing quite well. Also a sign that the food is of good quality. Third vacation and here again. The menu selection has been expanded and is now even better. The five of us feasted today. Everything was beautifully presented, served hot and was very tasty. Sorry, but that's no longer a coincidence!!! Be sure to try it out for yourself (April 23, 2025).

We are here on the island and spontaneously visited the Viet-Thai Asia Restaurant. The three of my family ordered something from everyone. Everything was freshly cooked very well and tasted delicious. Price-performance ratio is very good. I can only warmly recommend it.

Excellent price-performance ratio for delicious, authentic street food. The sushi is solid and unrivaled far and wide. We especially love glass noodle salad, papaya salad, Ga Xao Rau, Phad Prik Prao, Ga Bi... Oh, we haven't had anything here that we didn't like. The homemade iced teas and of course the Vietnamese coffee are also very tasty.

Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die Vielfalt der Speisekarte: traditionelle Zutaten treffen auf moderne Interpretationen, und das Ergebnis ist einfach köstlich. Ich hatte Gelbes Kokos Curry mit Hokkaido Kürbis mit Hähnchen Streifen und es hat hervorragend geschmeckt.

During our short vacation on Fehmarn we came to this restaurant and were greeted very friendly. At this point, there were only two tables occupied in this large restaurant and we were free to choose a suitable table. The ambience was typically Asian in predominantly dark furnishings and conveyed a sense of well-being. The menu is varied and offers a wide selection. Our menu selection was served to us after an astonishingly extremely short time. However, the preparation surprised us a lot because it had a rather unpleasant aftertaste. The sauce was extremely thin and watery. The meat was seasoned very lightly, if at all. On every table there was a container with a hot spice, like the one known from “Sambal-Oelek”. This enabled us to reduce the unpleasant aftertaste. We then ate the food because it was already too late to choose another restaurant. The portion size was appropriate, but unfortunately it didn't suit our taste.

We went here to eat again after 2 years and it was again very tasty.

Very tasty and diverse. We had wontons, spring rolls, papaya salad, chicken with red curry tofu with mango sauce and roasted duck. Everything with fresh vegetables and very well seasoned. Also very cheap. I can only recommend it, even if the entrance doesn't look that inviting at first.

We were there for lunch during the week. When we came we were the only guests, but everything was great. I don't understand the bad comments about the ambience. It's cozy. The service was very friendly and the food was really good and came quickly (but not in a minute). We will definitely come back.
