Für uns bestes Fischrestaurant auf Fehmarn - Top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis Wir waren nach 9 Jahren wieder im Aalhus und waren wieder begeistert. Die Portionen sind sehr groß, ohne dass die Qualität leidet. Alle Servicekräfte sehr freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Man fühlt sich einfach wohl und verbringt einen netten Abend mit super Essen.

Vor genau 14 Jahren den ersten Besuch vorgenommen, und gestern und auch heute. Nach ca 2 Jahren Pause dass erste Mal wieder reserviert. Fantastisch, durch den begeisterteren Sohn der jetzt mit im Team ist, aber auch alles andere top. Einer der besten Salattellern gegessen-dank dieser super leckeren Salatsoße. Die leckeren Fische auf den Tellern sind samt Team sehr sehr zu empfehlen. Reservierung natürlich frühzeitig vornehmen-viel Spaß dabei. P.S. Der Schnaps ist danach auch sehr zu empfehlen.

Bestellt wurde die FEHMARNSCHE FISCHPFANNE: gebratenes Dorschfilet in Eihülle, Ostsee-Lachsfilet und Schollenfilet von der Grillplatte angerichtet an Bratkartoffeln, Scampi, Sauce Hollandaise, Zitrone und Kräuterbutter €33,90 Leider sah die Fischpfanne aus wie Bratkartoffeln mit etwas Fisch, oder finde den Fisch mit Deko. Ein Reststück vom Lachs. Sehr mager für den Preis. Geschmacklich okay. Kein Highlight. Schade. Fast eine Frechheit.

Es war noch früh am Abend, das Restaurant war noch fast leer. Nachdem wir nicht reserviert hatten ,bekamen wir sehr unfreundlich einen Platz in der äußerten Ecke. Und haben gewartet...... Nach circa 20 min kamen wohl Stammgäste, original Ton,,,, nein wir haben nicht reserviert, ach setzt euch wo ihr möchtet. !!!! Wir fühlten uns sehr schlecht behandelt ,sind aufgestanden und gegangen .Danke das wars !!!!! Nie wieder !!!! Möchte noch sagen ,unser Besuch ist schon etwas länger länger her.

Essen war gut! Service sehr gut! Ambiente gemütlich, Richtung Garten noch netter. Preis/Leistung absolut ok!

Seit über 30 Jahren meine Lieblingsadresse auf Fehmarn. Das Lokal ist sehr gepflegt, super gemütlich, der Service perfekt und das Essen ein Gedicht. Immer wieder empfehlenswert!

Vor zwei Tagen waren wir dort essen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Freundliches Telefonat bei Anruf zur Reservierung, genau so freundlich wurden wir auch empfangen, als wir dort ankamen. Super schönes, rustikales Fischrestaurant in dem man auch kurzfristig noch einen Platz bekommen kann. Karte ist übersichtlich und unser Essen war geschmacklich sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Service ist sehr bemüht und freundlich. Nur zu empfehlen!

Für mich persönlich ist Dat ole Aalhus das beste Restaurant auf Fehmarn. Ich war bereits damals als Kind in jedem Urlaub mit meinen Eltern dort essen und heutzutage als Erwachsene komme ich immer wieder gerne! In einer Zeit, in der sich alles unglaublich schnell verändert und man kaum noch etwas hat, was einem ein Gefühl von Vertrautheit und Wohlfühlen vermittelt, bin ich froh, dass sich an diesem Ort gefühlt nichts verändert hat. Man kommt rein und fühlt sich direkt wohl. Das Personal ist immer unglaublich herzlich und freundlich. Das Essen ist jedes Mal super lecker. Ich kann es nur jedem empfehlen! Ich freue mich jetzt schon aufs nächste Mal. 😊

Wir waren am Samstag zum Essen im „Dat ole Aalhus“ und waren begeistert! Das Essen war sehr lecker und schön angerichtet. Glutenfrei war auch kein Problem. Ein riesen großes Lob möchte ich dem Kellner („Juniorchef“) aussprechen. In der heutigen Zeit erlebe ich kaum noch einen Kellner, der so nett, aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und mit so viel Freude seine Arbeit macht! Wirklich klasse! :-) Ich werde Ihr Restaurant auf jeden Fall in meiner Gästemappe als Empfehlung aufnehmen.

Das "Dat ole Aalhus" ist auf Fehmarn eine Institution, wenn es um ausgezeichnete Norddeutsche bürgerliche Küche geht Leider muss die Chefin seit 2 Jahren selber kochen, weil sie keinen Koch finden kann, der bereit ist, auf Fehmarn mit den stark schwankenden Arbeitszeiten (Nebensaison nur 4 Öffnungstage) umzugehen. Allerdings wage ich mir gar nicht vorzustellen, wie gut das Essen dann noch werden würde. Zur Zeit ist es exzellent. Ich hatte die Fischsuppe des Hauses und das Bratkartoffelverhältnis und überhaupt keine Idee, was da noch besser gehen soll. Kleines Detail: Zur Suppe gab es ein nur leicht angeröstet Brot, das noch warm beim Gast ankam und ideal die Komponente "crunch" lieferte an der es einer Suppe ja naturbedingt nun mal fehlt. Vorsicht vor der Salatbeilage des Bratkartoffelverhältnis. Dabei handelt es sich um keine Salatbeilage, sondern den kompletten Salat von der Vorspeisenkarte. Wer noch einen Nachtisch essen will: lieber die Salatportion bei der Bestellung halbieren Februar 2026 Spontan Besuch auf Fehmarn in der NebenNebensaison Zum Glück für uns macht Dat ole Aalhus gerade ein Experiment und öffnet auch während der Woche. Das Lokal ist super! Wir hatten kein Problem einen Tisch zu bekommen auch, wenn das Restaurant so beliebt ist. Tatsächlich war alles sehr lieblich gestaltet, der Service war super lieb, das Essen war top. Der Malus für den einen Stern gibt es, da wir als große Gruppe mit einer anderen Gruppe an einen Tisch gesetzt wurden, was dementsprechend manchmal für eine andere Aufmerksamkeit auf andere Personen gesorgt hat und (dafür kann das Lokal tendenziell weniger), dass der Dorsch (für den wir auch gezahlt haben) nicht mehr vorhanden war. Wenigstens einen Preisnachlass wäre da angebracht.

We've eaten there several times now, and we highly recommend the restaurant. The huge salad and the equally huge burger, for example, were delicious and reasonably priced. We were always able to find space, even with larger groups; the staff is very friendly.

A very tasty fish restaurant. There's also a good selection for red meat lovers. The prices are a bit high, which I attribute to the quality and freshness. All in all, I highly recommend it for a nice, relaxed evening and a satisfied palate. :)

We were passing through Denmark and were kindly able to snag a table on the terrace without a reservation. The food and service were perfect, the portions very large, but so delicious that we finished them all. I also ate what were probably the crispiest fried potatoes of my life here at Aalhus. I must have left my cardigan on the chair, and they sent it to me—without batting an eyelid. Thank you so much for that! We'd love to come back :)

I was there with my wife. We had fish and fried potatoes. But the fried potatoes weren't good. Frozen and fried in a deep fryer, that's absolutely unacceptable, and for that price, that's a no-go. You just need to improve.

Beautiful traditional restaurant with excellent fish and meat dishes, as well as delicious vegetarian options!

With children or a dog, you sit in the back corner, very cramped and very loud. That's an absolute no-go. We've had this experience several times.

When we're on Fehmarn, we also go to Aalhus. The salmon/herring tartar starter is excellent, and so is the smoked salmon with ready-made fritters. The main courses are very good and tasty. However, Lukull Hollo has no place there at that price point. The Chardonnay was very good, but again, it was a reasonable price. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. However, the very young lady served me my main course (pan-fried) with an empty plate; there was something green stuck to it, and when she put it down, she wiped it off with her thumb. I waited for her to bring me a clean plate, but nothing came. I think she was forced to work there.

Delicious fish dishes in a pleasant atmosphere

The food was delicious. It's definitely worth a visit. I found the atmosphere to be quaint, a bit like a church. It wasn't the last time we were there. The burger was huge and looked delicious, and the schnitzel was very tender. The sauce for the cod fillet was excellent. The strawberry spritzer is highly recommended.

We stumbled upon Aalhus by chance and were delighted by the friendly service and the incredibly delicious food. The salad was the best we've had in a long time, as was the rest of the food. Highly recommended!

Sunday evening...it was busy...okay...but fried potatoes should have been fried, not just dragged through the fat. And €26 is definitely too much for a grilled plate with a maximum of 120g of meat. A good, small pork fillet medallion, a 3mm "thick" dry pork loin steak, and a not-much-juicier, larger piece of turkey. The sauce was watered down...and a whole mushroom in four slices...that makes eating out no fun.

The daily special, sesame-coated redfish, was unfortunately undercooked on two orders, the fried potatoes were a bit dry, and the sauce didn't match the flavor. We expected more for the price. After pointing out the poorly cooked fish, we were offered a drink on the house as a small compensation. Unfortunately, it didn't end well either; the biscuit that came with the espresso was sticky and could have easily been folded. This was also reported to the waiter, who was then given another apology.

Whenever we're on Fehmarn, we stop here. The young man who served us was very attentive and friendly. The food was very good and plentiful.

Even though it wasn't busy, it was a rather hectic environment. The waiter wasn't visible at first, but then he greeted us in a friendly and North German manner, which I thought was a good thing. The food was delicious, with generous portions and a nice North German touch. The wait for four people was perfectly acceptable. My only comment is that if a salad is included with the dish, I don't eat cheese due to allergies, so I wouldn't want tomato and mozzarella on it. It looked good, but it's not my thing and would have even been a reason to return the dish... Otherwise, the cod I ate was very good... so one point deducted for the lack of information about the cheese... You can have Aprol Spritz!!! I'd be happy to come back.

An absolute recommendation for fish lovers on the island. This year, my highlight in terms of the quality, composition, and appearance of the food. The price-performance ratio was excellent. Very pleasant and attentive service. The garden behind the restaurant—weather permitting—offers a very pleasant ambiance and is naturally a bit quieter than inside. It's very busy, and unlike other restaurants, you're still well-stocked with drinks after your meal, even after the kitchen has closed. Service is top-notch. Thank you for the wonderful culinary delight! We'll be back soon.

We came for dinner without an appointment. Since it was the holiday season, it was quite busy. However, we still managed to get a table. The food was good and plentiful. We can recommend the restaurant, but you shouldn't necessarily go there during the holiday season.

Wir waren in den letzten Jahren immer sehr gerne hier und waren nun wirklich enttäuscht! Der Dorsch war eine dünne Scheibe, der Lachs sehr trocken, die Sauce Hollandaise ganz dick (fertig gekauft?), der Beilagensalat wurde vom Dressing ertränkt, wobei das Himbeer-Dressing den Salat nur gestreift hat (es werden mehrere Dressings verwender), der Gurkensalat war sehr sauer und gleichzeitig sehr süß (die ganze Familie konnte ihn nicht essen). Ein Glas Weißwein ist erst ab 8.50€ zu bekommen. Das Lachs-Matjes Tatar war aber sehr lecker und auch das Rotbarschfilet war gut. Leider war auch die Dame, die für unseren Service zuständig war, nicht besonders freundlich. Zunächst kam sie uns etwas genervt vor, später war sie etwas freundlicher. Auf unsere Kritik kam aber lediglich, dass würde sie sonst nicht hören, räumt ab und geht. Kein 'das tut mir leid'. Andere Damen waren gewohnt freundlich. Hinzu kommt noch, dass auf den Tischen nun gekaufte Tischläufer in "einmal Serviettenqualität" liegen, statt Stoff-Tischläufer. Bilde fehlen an einigen Tischen an der Wand, der Umriss ist noch gut an der Mauer zu erkennen. Für uns war das Aalhus immer ein Ort mit Liebe zum Detail, das hat uns bei unserem aktuellen Besuch leider total gefehlt!

Cozy restaurant with very friendly service and excellent food. We had the Fehmarn fish pan with fried potatoes and various fish fillets and mixed fish on spaghetti. Both dishes were huge and impossible to finish, but soooo delicious. The fried potatoes couldn't be better. It was our first time there and we felt very comfortable and will be back in the next few days. Dat ole Aalhus is worth a visit and we highly recommend it.

Spargel, Schnitzel, Fisch, Dessert, Obstler. Alles perfekt! Und der Service ist auch erstklassig. Da können viele andere von lernen. Ein schöner Gegensatz zu der immer häufiger vorkommenden Selbstbedienung bei gleichen Preisen.

Vor drei Jahren haben wir uns mit Fehmarn angefreundet und haben zufällig Dat Ole Aalhus entdeckt. Überraschend ist die maritimen Einrichtung und der gemütliche Rosengarten. Hektik kommt nicht auf; man hat Gelegenheit, die reichhaltige Karte zu studieren. Wir entschieden uns wie immer für ein Fischgericht. Ein Schollenliebhaber kommt voll auf seine Kosten- das frische Veltins passt dazu. Fisch muss schwimmen. Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch.

This was the best food we had during our stay on the island. Everything was delicious and very fresh. The service was outstanding. We had reservations and were led directly to a large corner table. The portions were huge and could have easily fed two. Highly recommend this family-owned establishment.

We went there for the first time today. My husband had the fish platter, and I had the pasta and fish combination. The portions were very generous, and the food was VERY tasty. We'll definitely be back.

When we're on Fehmarn, this is our restaurant. It's always delicious, and the salad is unique. We're always happy to come back...

The good times seem to be over. After years, I went back. While 10 years ago the restaurant would have deserved 5 stars for its fish platter, today it only gets 3 – and that's only due to the friendly service. It used to come with salad and crab, but now you get various fillets with dry fried potatoes – no onions or bacon – and instead of crab, some tasteless shrimp in three drops of hollandaise sauce. And all that for over 33 euros. I had a guest with me to whom I had previously raved about the fish platter – in the end, I was even embarrassed and apologized.

The service and the ambience were friendly/nice, unfortunately it doesn't make up for the disaster on the plate. We were there with 8 people. Something about the Fehmarn fish platter (dry fish although fried too fatty) the fried potatoes have nothing to do with fried potatoes - they feel like they come from a deep fryer (from the oven according to the service) after three minutes on the plate they are hard and no longer edible... Have absolutely nothing to do with fried potatoes... Horrible Appetizer platter like from the 80s... We only ate half of our plates - and that with the brutal prices (€30 for a main course)... There are much better alternatives on the island

Obwohl wir nicht reserviert hatten, haben wir einen Tisch bekommen. Die Beschäftigen waren allesamt freundlich! Die Getränke und das Essen ließen nicht lange auf sich warten. Das Essen war reichlich und sehr lecker! Wir kommen mit Sicherheit wieder!

Beim letzten Mal (vor ca. 3 Wochen) war es schon sehr gut, aber dieses Mal war es sensationell gut. Das Bratkartoffelverhältnis war das beste Fischgericht in meinem Leben. Die Scampi super, der Fisch sehr gut. Dazu leckere Bratkartoffeln und eine wirklich sensationelle Salatbeilage. Von Feldsalat, Gurken, Tomate Mozzarella über Him- und Brombeeren hin zu Karotten sowie Honig- und Wassermelone. Sehr Große Portion. Dazu noch Dunkles Bier vom Fass. Besser geht es nicht! Nicht zu vergessen: die Matjes meiner Frau waren auch sehr lecker!

We celebrated our wedding here. The planning was communicated to us in a very friendly manner. The food was very tasty and our guests were also very satisfied. Despite the very slow service back then, we decided to return there every year on our wedding day as a tradition. So alone on the first wedding day, with our first child on the second and then with our second born. From year to year the service and unfortunately also the food got worse. Very greasy and the fried potatoes seemed tough and warmed up. Too bad for the price. The last time we were there with our two children, we were asked straight away how long we would need, as people from the terrace needed the space. There's really no question of a cozy, family-friendly get-together here. If you want to spend a lot of money on a greasy, overpriced, sometimes stale meal, for which you have to wait longer and are also asked to vacate the place quickly, you have come to the right place. Otherwise, we recommend a different, more family-friendly, slower atmosphere on the beautiful island of Fehmarn. Unfortunately, loyalty is not rewarded here.
