The ambience is inviting and the service is courteous. The pasta with the scampi wasn't quite as seasoned, but the pasta with truffle was excellent. The double oak is definitely worth a visit.

If you are on Fehmarn, you should stop by here every now and then. Delicious food and nice service. Everything really good!

Upscale ambience; The employees are all nice and friendly and also respond to requests. We ate pizza (which was very, very tasty) and were completely satisfied. Is really a recommendation! We'd love to come back. The only thing I would like is if the daily specials, which are written on the boards in the restaurant, were also on a piece of paper on the menu, as these are sometimes hidden by the other customers.

Very nice atmosphere and nice service. Unfortunately, the food cannot withstand these impressions. We had the lasagna, which tasted okay, although it could have been a little hotter. We also had spaghetti with garlic, chili and prawns, everything (except for the prawns) was very bland and lacked any pizzazz that you would expect from an Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, the prices bear no relation to this. Sorry, I can't recommend the restaurant.

Very tasty food and very good service. We particularly liked that all pasta dishes and pizzas can also be ordered in children's sizes. We had a pasta dish, two pizzas and a lasagne. Everything tasted great. The price-performance ratio is right and you can even reserve online.

We've been coming here for several years and every time it's a dream. The pizzas seem like they came from God himself, the atmosphere is super nice, the staff are always friendly without exception... in my opinion the best restaurant in Fehmarn and the surrounding area!!!

In one word: TOP!! The best pizza I've had so far and I don't think it will be topped. Reasonable prices, Italian, not Germanized cuisine. After our first visit we reserved a table for the next day. The staff was very attentive and friendly. You can watch the pizza being made and see that the food is treated with respect. We'll definitely see each other again, it's even worth a day trip from Lübeck!!!! THANKS

Clearly the best pizza we have ever eaten. The starter (antipasti plate) was an absolute dream, as was the pizza itself. The ambience as well as the service were very, very good. Many people will be put off by the price, but it is absolutely worth it. I'd rather eat there once than somewhere else twice.

Both the main course and the dessert were delicious! The employees were all very friendly and always there very quickly! The menu was very diverse, from gluten-free to vegan to fish and meat, there was something for everyone! It was brilliant that you weren't allowed to smoke outside! This meant you could really enjoy the food without having the smell of smoke in your nose all the time!

We were able to eat there twice during our short vacation and absolutely loved it. What lovely, friendly and accommodating staff. A harmonious menu with special dishes where you can certainly eat a little more, but it's definitely worth it!

We ordered to go, but would have loved to have wine and pizza inside. Very couzy looking! The gluten free pizzas crust was very successful as it was the best I have tasted. Usually gluten free pizza crust is very flourish and you can taste the difference, but in here the gluten free crust might have been even better than the normal. High recommendation, was full at the time so it seems to be popular too! I can see why. 10/10

Food was good prices reasonable. The only thing that is strange is the information you get. Vaping outside is prohibited because it is the same as smoking. I'm particularly sensitive when, after emptying your pockets, you're spoken to in a somewhat senior-like manner

Space on the outside terrace with shade, nice waiters, pizza and pasta eaten, very tasty, good portions, homemade lemonade is recommended, dessert and espresso, everything was excellent again. This is the second time we have been here and we would love to come back. We recommend.

We were there with 5 adults and 4 children without a reservation and were kindly assigned a table. Were served quickly and friendly. I had a ham pizza. 06/2024 Unfortunately I have to correct my 3x 5 stars. Instead of a crispy and tasty pizza, a disaster of soggy dough, but the crust and toppings were still eaten. The fluffy dough was edible with the salty ham. Since the "service" seemed strange to us, we laughed in front of others and gave the clown. I would have expected strange behavior like that on Sylt. For the first time there were no tips from the three of us, we left that somewhere else! It's a shame, I'm just saying there's a shortage of skilled workers. They won't see us again! Which was probably their intention. 09/2023 Nice restaurant with a well-rehearsed team, serves very good and tasty Italian food! What more do you want? 😇 Gladly again!

Huge pizza. Was really excellent. Unfortunately, I didn't notice anything about the double cheese at the proud price of three euros, so I took a €1 deduction.

Simply 11/10. I have never eaten so well in my life, and I don't mean that as a phrase. In total, I ate four different dishes here with my girlfriend. All my life I've been the type of person who always eats the same dish out of habit. Here, however, they managed to lure me out of my comfort zone simply through the taste and quality of the food. I just wanted to try more of these delicious foods. Pizza, gnocchi, carbonara and stuffed dumplings altogether. Everything was incredibly delicious to the highest degree. I wonder why there isn't a Michelin star here yet. If anyone deserves it, it's the double oak. When you're on vacation, you're often worried about being disappointed in dubious restaurants. I'm all the more pleased that a really great team behind the counter, in the kitchen and in the service ensures a first-class culinary delight as well as a wonderful ambience and excellent service. In terms of price, we are in a higher league here. But I ask all visitors who come here to consider what they will get in return. Most of the products here are regional. The meat is also probably processed by the staff themselves. It has to be transported, delivered and prepared. The lamps need to be powered and the staff paid. I'm actually the type of person who likes to compare prices with other restaurants or the usual shopping prices. Here, however, I had a consistently fair understanding of the universally beloved German “price-performance ratio”. For those who would rather see the numbers: For two people, with starters, two large drinks and two main courses and a tip, we came to €70. Without starter and other dishes 40 - 50 €. To be fair, we didn't eat the large beef steak or the giant fish tails at around €30 each. In conclusion: We will not go on holiday to Fehmarn again without eating here several times. The only minimal point for improvement: We can't tolerate cow's milk... Alternatives would have been nice for a coffee. :-) Even after my long monologue, I still stand by it: it's really the best restaurant I've had the pleasure of getting to know so far. Thank you very much.

Our last evening on Fehmarn, the meal was the crowning glory. Very good service and the food was simply TOP. Spaghetti tossed in a parmesan loaf, simply delicious. Price performance completely within the framework. I can recommend the restaurant without reservation

The reception was cold and listless, almost snooty, as my companions also thought. Jacket must be left in the cloakroom at the request of the boss. Our reasons for why this was difficult were not addressed, instead the instructions were repeated, without eye contact and friendliness was rather non-existent. The table was in the draft, but a new table was assigned upon request. Again, somehow listless, I actually wanted to leave the restaurant straight away; like my two companions too. The subsequent service was friendly. My pizza Funghi was large but dry. A pity.

We had dinner at Doppeleiche on two evenings. We had: antipasto, vitello tonnato, buffalo mozzarella, octupus carpaccio, pizza palazzo, large shrimp tails with crustacean cream, saltimbocca from wolffish, aglio et scampi, tiramisu with cherry compote, crème brulee, sorbet. The ingredients come from the region, all the dishes were wonderfully balanced and tasted outstanding. Prices are reasonable for the quality. The service was always present, very friendly and attentive. Despite the many guests, there was no rush among the staff.

We were there just before 9 p.m. and still got a pizza, even though the kitchen is actually only open until 9 p.m., great!! The pizza was large and extremely tasty. However, it was also one of the most expensive pizzas we have ever eaten.

We were here with six people and we were all thrilled. Very nice restaurant with delicious food and great service.

We were there today and ordered 2 dishes from the lunch menu: 2 fish fillets with fried potatoes and mustard sauce - penne with vegetables and tomato sauce. The plaice fillet was too dry and fried for far too long. Penne was drowned in simple tomato cream and I had to look for the few vegetables. I noted it and it was noted. We won't be back, not recommended.

Great atmosphere. The waitresses are super on-the-fly and polite at the same time. Pizza is very thin if you like it and has plenty of toppings. Unfortunately, I was very, very disappointed with the Parmesan pasta. The Parmesan “feeling” didn’t come across. You can save the money.

I was here yesterday for a quick dinner. I ordered spaghetti tossed in a Parmesan loaf with beef strips, cocktail tomatoes and grated truffle. Unfortunately the loaf was already used up, so as an alternative the spaghetti was simply tossed in parmesan. I was asked if that was okay and the price was also adjusted. I wanted a homemade iced tea, which unfortunately was already out, but an alternative was quickly offered here too. The spaghetti tasted very good. For me it could have been a little more cheese as I really like parmesan. The beef was of high quality and tasted very good. I also liked the alternative iced tea variety. The service was quick and attentive. I just wanted to grab something quick for dinner and it only took about 35 minutes from arrival to billing - very good!

I have never been served so quickly and competently as in this restaurant! According to my kids, the best pizza ever! The pesto was also delicious! Very pretty and well-kept restaurant.

Even though we didn't have a reservation and the store was apparently well booked, we were offered a table for 1 hour. Since we were just very hungry, that wasn't a problem for us. The drinks and food were brought quickly so that we could still eat in peace. The food was really excellent. There were also appealing dishes for our child.

Delicious pasta in Burg on Fehmarn for coeliacs ❤️ With celiac disease, going out to eat is always a challenge or requires good planning. So I had read up a bit beforehand and at the same time our landlords recommended their absolute favorite restaurant to us, which explicitly offers gluten-free dishes. That alone is not a given. And what can I say: I went out super happy. There is, in my opinion, an extensive selection of gluten-free pasta dishes here (I think there were five different dishes, e.g. penne with pesto, zucchini and shrimp or lasagna). There really is something for everyone. The preparation takes place in separate pans. If you want to drink a cappuccino here, you can do so without hesitation as a celib. Only cow's milk is used in the machine. And just as great: almost every pizza can be prepared gluten-free. This wasn't clearly stated on the map, or rather I had missed it. The gluten-free pizza dough is then baked in its own aluminum tray in a stone oven (without air circulation) to eliminate contamination. I will definitely try it next time! The staff is extremely trained and knowledgeable about the topic of contamination. Every question I asked was answered competently, which made me a little unsettled at first because I'm usually used to having to explain a lot. However, I had no problems after eating, so I would definitely recommend a visit. You really know your stuff :-) The gluten-free pasta was also incredibly tasty and you wouldn't have been able to tell it apart from regular pasta. The family also really enjoyed the non-gluten-free pizza and the Bambini pasta. Many many thanks!

Very nice restaurant in the center of the city. The menu offers a lot of choice and what should be highlighted is the range of gluten-free dishes. There is a separate section on the menu for gluten-free pasta and the pizzas can also be made gluten-free upon request. Everything is prepared separately in the kitchen. (You can look directly into the kitchen through a window from the guest room) It is also very child-friendly and visiting with the whole family is no problem. We'd love to come back.

Ordered a Funghi pizza to take away. It was super quick, very friendly service. But when we opened the box later, the surprise came: no cheese ^^ It was still tasty in itself, but still disappointing. I can't say what the reason was. We took it with humor.

We would have liked to stay in the deserted restaurant on weekday afternoons and would have happily left our money there. But if even a child who is cold is not allowed to keep his jacket on/at his seat "because the boss doesn't want to" according to the service staff, then that is such an unfriendly, arrogant attitude that of course we don't eat there.

Today I was in the double oak tree for the first time with my partner and our dog. We were looking forward to some fine wine and Italian food as it was my 64th birthday today. The starters, vitello tonnato and the classic carpaccio were good. I then chose the gnocchi with porcini mushrooms and my husband the spaghetti with beef strips in truffle sauce. It was good too. We also chose a bottle of red wine from Piedmont, which was very good. But what we were missing was the Italian joy and hospitality. It's a shame, the service wasn't what we associate with Italy.

Four of us were there for dinner as a family. We had pizza, a folded pizza and spaghetti with parmesan truffles. The food was very, very tasty. Vitello Tonato exceptionally good. The pizza maker does an excellent job. The waitress was nice and attentive. However, we got through it very quickly because everything came to the table quickly and was served promptly - of course that's not a disadvantage. Nevertheless, you may want to take things slower on vacation.

Today we were in the Doppeleiche for the first time. We were absolutely thrilled. We will definitely eat there again on our next visit to Fehmarn. I've never eaten pizza this good. We were there spontaneously and asked for a table. We were immediately welcomed and given a comfortable table. We were served quickly and very friendly. The food was really very fresh and super tasty. The restaurant is very comfortably furnished and you feel comfortable. The prices are more than fair and justified!

Great dining room, attentive staff, good food, a bit too expensive

Everything absolutely perfect. We were there for dinner with 7 people. We thought everything was great.

We ate here not just once, but twice during our vacation and that says it all. The food tasted great, the little one had pasta with delicious tomato sauce, the older one had a Margherita pizza and we had spaghetti and gnocchi, everything was great, both with meat and with fish. The starters and desserts were also really tasty. The pizza makers and the service staff always have a smile on their faces and sometimes joke around with the kids. So everything is nice all around, the only slightly irritating thing here is the name, which doesn't quite suggest that it's Italian.

Food was delicious. However, you are forced to give up your jacket before entering the restaurant and keep it out of sight. I find it strange.

First of all, I've rarely eaten such good and authentic Italian food. You can tell that just by looking at the menu; you won't find spaghetti Bolognese or Hawaiian pizza here and you won't get the carbonara! Served with cream, all dishes seem fresh and tasty. We had pizza with dessert on the first day, pasta with starter on the second day, everything was delicious👍 The atmosphere is modern and friendly, the service is absolutely top, our little four-legged friend was treated just as attentively and friendly as we were. What we also noticed positively is that you hand in your jacket or coat at the entrance to the reception and are assigned your seat, which makes everything relaxing in the guest room. We will definitely be happy to come back next time we visit Fehmarn.

Spontaneously stopped at Ristorante Doppeleiche while visiting Fehmarn, only driven by hunger and luckily getting a table for four people. Friendly welcome in a tastefully decorated restaurant. We had pizza and pasta dishes that couldn't have been better in Naples. The whole thing is made from regional products. Perfect. The double oak completely convinced us.

Very charmingly decorated restaurant with friendly service. Open pizza kitchen. The prices for pizza are more than fair considering the size. The remaining dishes are of course on the higher end, but are also of excellent quality and taste.

Large pizza, thin dough and very tasty - just like you only get in Italy. However, the pizza there often only costs half as much. I think the prices for the pizzas are high, but north of the Alps you can hardly get a better pizza than here.

Fehmarn's best address for excellent cuisine! For me personally the best pizza ever!!! I've never had such delicious pizza in my life. My husband was also extremely happy with his choice of dish every time. We were there for the first time on vacation in 2020 and since then it has been "my personal highlight" every year to eat there at least once on our Baltic Sea vacation! And the staff is really nice and very accommodating anyway! Thanks so much!

My wife and I were guests there. Everything seemed very classy and you had to hang the jackets on a clothes rack outside. (I have no idea whether the jackets were under control......so all valuables were taken out of the jackets and everything in hand was taken to the restaurant) But otherwise everything was fine. The food was super tasty and was served quite quickly. The service was friendly and accommodating.

My wife's cola came completely flat without carbonation, the second one after an uncomplaining complaint was fine. A pizza (bianco, San Paolo, without tomato sauce) was extremely dry. A pity! It was ordered without ham and was asked to be topped with more salami. It came without ham, but not with more salami. The other pizza (Diavolo) was better, although not a highlight. The additional garlic that was ordered was forgotten. The mixed salad I ordered in advance was very tasty, as was my well-tempered Duckstein. The appetizer on the house was nice and tasty. (Bread with herb/oil dip) The lady in service was very friendly and attentive. Nevertheless, it's only enough for 3 stars for us because the main meal was just average and the price level was unreasonable. 17€ for a not outstanding Pizza Diavola is really over the top, and the drink prices are also hefty. We like the concept with predominantly regional products. Praise for that. Still won't be coming back.

The food, the service, the location - everything was excellent. I especially find the pizza very, very tasty. It's never a problem to change or add components, so even as a vegetarian I can choose from many dishes. And the non-alcoholic aperitifs/drinks round off the offer.
