Ristorante Pizzeria Doppeleiche in Fehmarn

Very tasty food and fair prices for solid Italian cuisine. One point deducted because on the evening of our visit (Wednesday), two classic dishes from the menu – lasagna and spaghetti Bolognese – were unavailable. If such typical favorites are temporarily unavailable, this should be clearly stated on the menu. This was a great disappointment for my 8-year-old daughter, as she had eagerly chosen this Italian restaurant precisely because of these dishes.

I had a "stuffed" pizza. I must have been getting it wrong for years. There was just a second crust on top. It tasted okay, but I ordered it from the delivery service at home again – it was better. Apparently, liquor on the house is only available if the sales are good. I won't be eating there again. The service was very nice. We were in the small room, which was very quiet and easy to have a conversation.

Perfect pizza in a wonderful ambience

There were seven of us, including four children. At reception, the children were immediately greeted with the words, "Can you behave?" Both children and parents had had enough. The food came super quickly and was okay. I found the drink prices too high. Generally speaking, we have children, not illnesses. Children are just people and have the same right to exist.

I worked here myself 23 years ago under the then boss, Mr. Durante Sr. The atmosphere is great, although everything has changed, of course. The son has made everything very nice, the staff is very friendly, and the food is truly excellent, offering great value for money. My wife had penne with Gorgonzola, and I had the original spaghetti carbonara. I highly recommend it; it's truly top-notch. The tiramisu is delicious, but unfortunately not as good as it used to be with sabayon, but still excellent.

Great food, different menus, not just Italian dishes.

Great restaurant, very friendly and attentive staff. The tomato soup was very good and the portion was generous. The pizzas were good, but we've had better, but that's a matter of taste, of course. The espressos were good too. And the background music was lovely: Italian schmaltzy tunes. 😊😂

My pizza was delicious. The female server was quite friendly. The ambiance was visually appealing, but unfortunately, the tables were too close together. We were also seated in the center aisle.

We ate there today and can highly recommend it. We each had a cocktail (Passion Fruit Spritz and Lady's Night Light (alcohol-free)) and our main course was the tuna minute steak and gratinated savoy cabbage with rabbit leg. Both were very tasty, although the leg was a bit dry; otherwise, everything was spot on. We would have preferred something special for dessert, a classic dessert with a special/creative twist. A play on flavors. They were still delicious, of course. The service was very friendly and attentive, but without being intrusive. We were able to enjoy the autumn sun outside; there were also seats under parasols, which have heaters. I can easily imagine a cozy cocktail evening here. The interior also looked great. A really beautiful location.

Very friendly staff. The pizza and salad were fantastic. Excellent value for money. The only drawback: smoking isn't permitted, even outside. But everyone survived.

I had a Quattro Formaggi pizza. Unfortunately, the Gorgonzola wasn't noticeable, but otherwise it was tasty, but nothing special. The service was quick and friendly.

We've been coming here for several years to eat during our Fehmarn holidays... It's always like coming home... the service has been top-notch for years. Attentive, friendly, and able to provide qualified answers to guests' questions. Requests are fulfilled wherever possible. The food has always been excellent. We speak highly of our dishes. The ambiance and decor are contemporary. The large dining room gets quite noisy at peak times. But that's because it's always very busy, which is a positive sign... All in all, we'll be back and would recommend a visit to any other holidaymaker on Fehmarn... Best regards to the entire staff!

We were back on Fehmarn after 7 years, and after the sun, you were once again the highlight. The grandchildren were able to eat the large pizza, and we were able to eat the small one. The salad was amazing, and we'll be back next time! Thanks for the lovely evenings!

The interior is attractive and very atmospheric. Outside, the decor is a bit more spartan. Lighting on the tables and tablecloths allow for quick change. The food, however, is truly delicious. The pizza at 4:50 p.m. was spicy, thin, and enormous. My wife enjoyed the spaghetti with vegetables at 5 p.m. They also offer great gluten-free versions of the pasta.

The food was great, the waiter was friendly but very hectic.

For starters, we had the tomato soup. A very large portion and incredibly delicious. I've rarely eaten such good spaghetti carbonara. Very friendly staff and a lovely restaurant. I really appreciated the service and the pizzas on the table. I'm more of a pasta person, but the pizzas looked so appetizing that even I would have ordered one. I usually don't write many reviews, but I had to leave one here. We'll be back on our next trip to Fehmarn. Keep up the great work!

Very nice atmosphere and a delicious pizza, unlike anything I've ever had. The stuffed pizza with suckling pig (Mertens) tastes excellent. I'd definitely go back. Dogs are allowed. Our elderly lady was able to relax under the table.

A little more expensive, but worth every cent. A great Italian restaurant that specializes in more than just pizza and pasta. A superbly varied menu with many seasonal dishes that truly belong in fine dining. With an open kitchen and very attentive, friendly service. We've been coming here at least once every time we're on Fehmarn for over 30 years. We always enjoy it. P.S. The house grappa is absolutely amazing!!!!!🤤

After years of visiting Fehmarn, we finally made it to the Doppeleiche. We've now known 75% of the restaurants, and this one is right up there. A real recommendation if you want good food. Top quality, even if it's not cheap.

The food was delicious and served quickly. Unfortunately, everything was full. It's best to reserve a table. There are also heaters outside for seating in cold weather.

Very tasty pizzas, attentive and friendly service, and the pasta dish was also very good. The only thing I find a bit pricey is the drinks (€6.50 for a 0.5 liter beer). The ambiance is also pleasant, and the terrace is well-protected.

It's a decent lunch spot. We had butterfish and pan-fried fish...both were a bit too salty...sat outside. The traffic is slow 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Very good pizza! Don't be put off by the price, as the pizza is 36cm in diameter instead of 30cm and they use fresh ingredients, like mushrooms and spinach in our case. Great atmosphere, well-organized staff.

The food was very tasty. I had a pizza because the lasagna was unfortunately out. We sat outside and couldn't fully enjoy the ambiance, as it's right on the main thoroughfare of the shopping district. The service was polite and even open for a quick chat.

We went to the "Doppeleiche" for lunch today. The food was delicious 😋 the service was excellent!! Everything was lovely... until we were about to leave... a cheeky guest had stolen our umbrella... a sturdy model, worth 30 euros!! Our granddaughter noticed a sign: Video surveillance, we assume liability!! We've never experienced anything like that before!! The manager of the establishment reacted immediately... refunded the value... he was super nice!! Thank you so much for that!!!! Veronika Mazejewski I wish the thief many rainy holidays...!!!!

Fehmarn...our chill-out area for many years. Anyone who knows Fehmarn and enjoys good food knows that you can't expect too much here. Today was our first time at Doppeleiche. Expected nothing and was hugely surprised. Rump steak medium: perfectly cooked; Ribeye: medium rare: perfectly cooked! Prices: more than fair! In my opinion, this is the best pizzeria on Fehmarn. We haven't had such good Italian food in a long time. We had pizza, piadine, and focaccia. This place doesn't just serve the same old stuff you're used to at other pizzerias.

Yes, it was something different. Here you can get pizza that you can't find everywhere. Unfortunately, very few of the pasta dishes are homemade. Then it would have received a full number of stars.

Very tasty pizza and pinsa, but also very expensive

We came here for dinner. I had previously read an article in the island newspaper, so we were very excited. First, we received a very friendly welcome. The menu is extensive. We chose a salad for starters. This was served with fresh ciabatta and delicious olive oil. The salad dressing was very balanced and flavorful. We also chose pasta with shrimp tails. Very tasty! And a pinsa romana. Very light and airy with Parma ham and simply delicious! We would go back anytime.

Very good restaurant with changing specialties menu

The pizza was a true delight for all of us. We'd eaten here a couple of times before, but today we were "just" in the mood for pizza with our kids. But even the pizza at Doppeleiche is distinctly different from pizzas at other restaurants. So good! The accompanying wine rounded off the taste experience in the usual beautiful ambiance. Highly recommended!

The vitello tonnato was extremely delicious 😋 The service was very friendly and attentive. We only had lasagna and spaghetti carbonara for main courses, but both were excellent. The portions were very generous. All in all, highly recommended. Thanks to the team. Especially today, on the hottest day of the week, a big thank you to the kitchen.

Sorry, but what's all the hype about the pizza? Our landlord had recommended the restaurant to us because of the "world's best pizza." By Berlin standards, it was mediocre at best. Perhaps it was also because the waiter forgot the appetizers, took the pizzas away, and served them again half an hour later, reheated. The restaurant's ambiance was quite nice.

My wife and I spontaneously stopped by Ristorante Doppeleiche for lunch today. The Italian food (not just pizzas) was excellent, and the service was attentive. I highly recommend this Italian restaurant.

There were five of us eating there, and we were all very disappointed. The pizza was watery and cold, and the pasta was rather dry.

A little more expensive but worth it, the spaghetti carbona (without cream sauce!) is simply amazing.

Easy online reservation, even with a dog. A very friendly welcome. The dining room was cozy, perhaps a bit warm due to the integrated pizza oven separated by a glass pane. The mixed salad was delicious, as was the Primitivo. The vegan ravioli (€24) was very good, but could have been a bit more flavorful. A definite recommendation!

We stumbled upon this restaurant quite by chance – and were pleasantly surprised! The service was very attentive and friendly. Three of us went to the pizzeria. We ordered two pizzas and a roast beef with parsley potatoes and beans in bacon. The pizzas were very good, but the roast beef was dry and tough; I wouldn't order it again.

You spend your whole life eating pizza 🍕... and enjoy it... and you think you've reached and "enjoyed" every level of quality... and then everything is completely different. The Pizza Speciale Rustica with suckling pig, mozzarella, spinach, and friarielli tastes so incredibly delicious, so juicy, and the crust is so sensationally crispy, thin, and flavorful—one of the best pizzas I've ever had! I also enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, the truly comfortable furniture, and the friendly, unobtrusive, yet attentive service. Once again, a fantastic meal. The separate menu always offers delicious specials. Friendly service is a given there. When all the tables are occupied, it gets a bit noisy. We still enjoy eating there.

Hi, we wanted to spontaneously eat there with four people today/Sunday, May 25, 2025. But unfortunately, that wasn't possible! We weren't given a warm welcome, and then we were told to hang our completely dry jackets unattended in a corner (which we never do). We politely explained that the jackets were dry and that we'd like to take them to our seats! The receptionist just said NO, that wasn't possible, nobody does that! So we had to leave! Personally, I eat out a lot and never really have anything to complain about, no matter what happens, because we're all just human. But I can't tolerate this kind of behavior from this no-name restaurant. I advise against it! Better go a few meters further; there's an excellent Italian restaurant!

First of all, the food was good. But: It feels like a different service at the table every 2 seconds is annoying, even if they are friendly. Another point deduction: This was the first of many Italian restaurants that refused to serve us half of a pasta dish on two plates.

We were here spontaneously at lunchtime today Restaurant and are thrilled. There is GLUTEN-FREE pizza and pasta, the pizza is not on the menu. But she should! Rarely have I had such a phenomenal gluten-free pizza! 5*+ There is also a children's and day ticket. And extra children's cutlery. Very friendly staff and a great ambience round off the meal!

There was no eating at all. We sat outside and asked to open the parasol. The waiter said he wasn't allowed to do that. There are we left. Very bad service

The pizzas were very tasty and the price-performance ratio was ok. However, the vegan dish, tortellini with eggplant puree, was very overpriced. It was tasty, but for At €24.00 I don't expect a small child's portion. Therefore only 3 stars

The location was recommended to me by a prospective student during a consultation. There are a lot of Italians and so we always strolled past on previous visits. But: This is not just ANY Italian restaurant, but one of the best I have ever eaten at. Beautiful ambience, incredibly nice team and truly divine food. My wife was blown away by the vegetarian “roast”. This was neither Seitan nor just any tofu, but something very special. 👍🏻 Luckily there was still a time slot available for Good Friday, so we could enjoy it again. 😉 If you would like to stop by, I strongly advise you to make a reservation!!

A pizza like many in Germany. The service was fine so far. However, we found the pricing to be quite excessive. Vacationer island or not. A few silver onions, wafer-thin carrot slices and zucchini and on top of that, as the “icing on the cake,” some melon with a slice of Parma ham per person, so 2. Typical Italian business behavior or excessive taxes on Italian foreign insurance😂.
