UNDERDOCKS in Hamburg

A cool spot on the Schanze for a different kind of fish. The food is recommended. The portions are generous. The staff was particularly friendly, attentive, and quick. There are also delicious vegan alternatives. You can sit inside or in front of the Underdocks.

Have read many good reviews about it. And that's why we ended up here. And no lies, we had a delicious meal!

If you like something hearty, this is the place for you. Very tasty rolls, a cool location and nice staff.

Stylish, modern restaurant in the heart of Hamburg. Modern cuisine, based on typical Hamburg fish rolls, there are numerous modern variations of the same. A very industrial-modern ambience with gentle hip hop beats complete the experience. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back!

Absolute recommendation and promises what all food influencers recommend. Very tasty mess and that can be taken literally. Unfortunately, the lobster roll, which was very tasty, is probably too wide to be served like the other rolls, which makes it incredibly difficult to eat and practically impossible to eat with your fingers. Their own iced tea and lemonade are also great.

We ate at Underdogs and absolutely loved it! The tacos and the fish roll were to die for – super crispy, made with so much love and simply incredibly tasty. The service was also super warm and attentive. The prices are absolutely fair and the location in the middle of the ski jump makes the whole thing perfect. We'll definitely be back!

We came based on a recommendation and I have to say that the taste was very good. The portions are good, I just couldn't get enough from one roll. Price-performance isn't that good here for me, not enough fish (grilled salmon roll) for the price. Ambiance and service were top!

Great shop with very nice staff. The food is very tasty, the "standard" dishes can be pimped up to make them even more special. I thought the prices were totally okay. The only thing that bothered me was the people walking past when you're sitting outside, but you can also go in. Would come back any time!

Most of the food we had there during the several visits is amazing - I love the tacos, lobster roll, crayfish roll - delicious. Fish and chips - very good and veeery big portion. But fresh salmon roll is a big disappointment. It’s the only one that doesn’t have salad listed as an ingredient, so my partner who can’t stand salad ordered it. To our surprise it was mostly salad leaves and a few pieces of salmon. He couldn’t eat it. Please update the menu to show what it’s actually made of.

Were here for the first time. The food was very tasty, there is also a selection for vegetarians and the service is really great. Whenever we are in Hamburg again, we would definitely do it again!

Delicious “rolls”, but I don’t understand why you fill them so full that everything oozes out the sides and you can’t eat them with your hand. It worked with cutlery, but the Instagram factor seems to take precedence over handiness. The fact that I had to refuse the nightcap/schnapps offered three times does not make this restaurant a safe place for people with alcohol problems. 😅

Totally overrated store. Hardly any fish on the rolls and it was dry and cooked to death. The rest is cheap wheat rolls and industrial potatoes. This is decent pub food, nothing more. The service is rather snippy and uncouth (“the billing just sucks”). In the end we were also overcharged.

You're entering an unusual place that I really like. A menu centered around fish. I really loved the tacos, which were very balanced in terms of flavor (I recommend the jalapenos as an extra) and the sweet potato fries were delicious (ultra crispy). I highly recommend this restaurant.

I've been to Hamburg many times and eaten in many restaurants, but this is the first that doesn't rest on its laurels and still places value on quality and customer satisfaction. The food was incredibly tasty, the staff was very attentive and friendly. Underdocks will definitely be the first restaurant in HH that I will eat at again!

Among the many fast food restaurants in Hamburg, the food at this restaurant is really delicious, the location is great and the service is super friendly. It definitely deserves 100 points and I am very satisfied. The price-performance ratio is very high and worth recommending.

It's a place with several branches in different parts of Hamburg. We tried fish&chips and burger. Both were very delicious. The burger's sauce, bread and fish are compatible, but it's a little difficult to eat.

Very cool food court, especially the selection and dishes from Underdocks were very, very cool, we had a really great quick lunch with a fine softshell crab burger and crayfish rolls. Hammer!

In love with their sweet potato fries! It’s reaaally good!! It’s crispy but somehow tender as well.. well seasoned! Fried to perfection! We had it with truffle mayo dipping sauce, which was a great decision! Oh and their hotdogs (?) were tasty as well. We had the lax one (salmon) and the black tiger one. I like the black tiger one better.. the buns tho.. the buns win! It’s grilled to crispy but also soft and taste buttery and.. just good. But I’ll proly come again just for their sweet potato fries hahaha. And maybe try the fish and chips cause the fish looks really good in the picture. We came here around 6PM and was quickly seated, but when we left, we saw huge line.. soo, plan your visit maybe :). Anyhoo, overall really nice place with good food, nice and friendly service (they gave us a complimentary shot which was nice). Recommended!

I didn't think it was that good now. There was very little topping, sauce dominated everything and the rolls were very greasy and on top of that it was very stupid to eat. I wouldn't go there again.

Great! The “Fischbude” fits exactly into this place! Great service, no start-up problems at midday on Sunday at 12 p.m. The food was great, just right for a late riser on Sunday. All in all, actually too cheap for the portion. We look forward to next time!

Have rediscovered the store. Sunday there were two of us and yesterday there were 7 people. Everyone was excited. Very fresh food. Staff very hard working. Just a little loud. We'll definitely come more often

Underdocks down near the bunker is really a place you can visit with friends or acquaintances from outside. The service there is really very good and in the best Hamburg temperature. The brothers and sisters there are open-hearted and super friendly. The food itself is very tasty and well made. Still only 3 stars because the price is really high considering the small quantity. I spent €15 on a few vegan fish fingers, which were very tasty but unfortunately far too little. Therefore 2 stars deducted for the food. The ambience is very nice, you just have to make sure that you get enough space as it is busy here. Otherwise, I'll stick with a total of 4 stars because it's a top shop that you can visit once in a while and shouldn't be a routine visit.

The service was very friendly. The lobster roll was ok, didn't quite suit my taste but the lobster was well prepared and definitely worth the experience. The crunchy fried fish roll and the chips were very tasty.

For fast food lovers… the fried shrimp dishes are the best. I am not that big a fan of fried foods but i would recommend to others.

Great weather in mid-March. Sat outdoors. Everything was super delicious again. The friendliness has not been lost either. Just great.

Unglaublich leckeres Essen. Sehr zu empfehlen auch die Locations sind cool. Waren 5 Tage in Hamburg und ich hab bei Underdocks 3 mal gegessen. Das hat bei mir was zu heißen! Wenn ich wieder nach Hamburg komme, werde ich dort definitiv wieder essen.

Absolute recommendation! We were at Underdocks yesterday and loved it! Super cool location with a stylish harbor atmosphere. Our fish & chips were simply top! Special thanks also for the sauce recommendation “Amarillo Passion Fruit Mayo” for the fish & chips, It was really the highlight, the taste was great, creative… simply delicious. The girls from the service team are also remarkable! Warm, attentive and with an energy that is immediately infectious. Here you can tell that they really enjoy their job, and the guest can feel that at every moment! Thank you very much and keep it up! We will definitely come back on our next trip to Hamburg.

Unfortunately I find this spot overrated. I expected much more. The food tasted average, there was nothing special about it. Everything fried and with sauce, you just have to like it. I didn't like the tacos at all. The service was okay. We wanted to get advice because we couldn't decide, but the waitress couldn't help us or recommend anything.

I'll start like this: Fish isn't necessarily my first choice...here I had to change my experiences and opinion! Uncomplicated, cozy location, courteous and attentive team! Food more than tasty and creative! It's now one of my favorites in Hamburg- Underdocks You rock 🤎🤍🤎🤍
