This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. There are so many delicious options, and the best part is that even vegetarians can enjoy fish and experience that true Hamburg feeling! The dishes are incredibly creative and taste amazing. The music is great, the drinks are reasonably priced, and the staff are all incredibly friendly. I highly recommend it!

Our server was really sweet (the Black one, I forgot to ask her name) who, even though the place was packed and they were short-staffed, still took the time to chat with us and answer our questions. 10/10. If I were staying in Hamburg longer, I'd ask her out on a date; then I could at least prove to her that I'm a good eater.

I'd heard so much about it and finally visited... Not every rumor is true, but not everyone can exceed expectations! Amazing atmosphere, two super friendly and dedicated waitresses, and the bartender proved he knew his craft by personally serving our cocktails! As for the food, I can say that even though we were full, we ordered seconds because it was so delicious!

Get ready to try seafood in a way that you never had before. I went there twice quality is consistent. The soft-shell crab is a must try. Their nachos are also so good but I didn’t like the mussels one.

Our visit to the Underdocks fish stall was a complete success. The food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the quality was noticeably high. The menu might seem a little confusing at first glance, but the staff was extremely friendly and explained everything clearly – which made choosing much easier. You can immediately tell the quality of the ingredients, and the prices reflect that, but they are absolutely justified. The taste truly impressed and pleasantly surprised us. Overall, a fantastic experience for fish lovers – we would definitely come back!

Hugely disappointing. Read good things about this place so we came here for a drink and bite. After checking the menu, the waiter informed us that our chosen outdoor table was reserved, but we were welcome to sit inside. I went to use the restrooms, but back in the restaurant I was aggressively told over and over that it cost money to use it. I was taken aback as we had opted for the indoor table option, and had just registered as guests (as required at the time due to covid). No idea why the waiter would speak to me, let alone anyone, in such a way. As my company told me: 'That was a quick turnaround from really wanting to go to that place, to never wanting to go there again'.

A concept has been implemented here that is absolutely perfect in terms of both ambiance and food. The container and harbor look is just right. The food completely won me over. I had two different rolls and several tacos with incredibly delicious fillings I've never seen anywhere else. The ingredients are super fresh and prepared to perfection, beautifully presented. They offer three beers on tap. For me, it's a 12/10 – everything was perfect. I have a new favorite spot. The staff is top-notch… the whole crew is doing a fantastic job. Thank you so much!

I had the Backfish Roll and the Crispy Tiger Taco. The bread tasted a bit cheap, but the fries and sauce were so delicious that it was worth it!!! The portions were small and the price was high, but this is the only place in Hamburg that serves this style of food, so if you're craving fish tacos and sandwiches, it's worth a visit! It's a bit of a pricey restaurant, but there's no other place that sells this kind of fish sandwich and taco. So, if you want to eat these specific dishes, it's totally worth the visit!

The only negative point, and the experience of the shop would be enhanced even further, would be if an acoustics expert were to work on the shop and improve the acoustics. Still, more than worth a visit and a must for fish lovers.

The price has gone up over the years, as has the rancid sunflower oil taste since the last four visits in the last six months. Soggy chips that I have to send back to the kitchen to be re-fried every time. Disgusting. The atmosphere is usually greasy/insufficiently wiped tables. Personally, the gangster rap music annoys me, and I still like the food even after asking repeatedly. I enjoyed it, but I don't want to end up with heartburn afterward for expensive food. It's been enough for me. I hope the authorities check your kitchen.

Stumbled in by chance. No regrets. Particularly attentive service. Food arrived quickly. Fries were warm, not hot. A great selection of vegan alternatives that were well received. The ambiance is really great. Prices are reasonable. Overall, worth a return.

Well, we made the best choice! 😋😋 The food was truly excellent, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered fish and chips! I had shrimp and my boyfriend had fried cod, both with chips and sauces 😍😍 Truly exceptional, too bad I couldn't finish my cheddar chips because my stomach is small 🫤 They also offered us the typical Hamburg liqueur! We really enjoyed it! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 😍🥰😋

10/10, and I rarely say that. One of the best street food spots I've ever tried. So good that we went back every day during our three days in Hamburg. And I'm not usually one for eating the same thing over and over again. But I HAD to come back 😂 Simply an awesome food concept that you won't find anywhere else. Even if you're not a big fish eater, you'll love it. Amazing homemade sauces/dips, shrimp fried and marinated on point, awesome combinations of tacos and rolls, awesome side dishes. Simply delicious. I had the black tiger prawn roll with chips. It's truly a fish sandwich 2.0. The service was very attentive, and we felt completely at home.

A stylish restaurant with super friendly staff. And then there's the food. We ate some incredibly delicious rolls – there was a huge selection with various fillings. This was one of our dining highlights in Hamburg, not only after the disappointing dining experiences at the Landungsbrücken (a crab roll there was €19, a cold fried fish roll with lots of breading and not much fish was €7). An absolute must-try when visiting Hamburg.

If you live in Hamburg or are a tourist, you must try this restaurant. It's literally amazing. I was traveling from Copenhagen to Amsterdam and stopped by for lunch. On the way back from Brussels, I decided I had to try it because it wasn't to be missed. I ordered the grilled and fried shrimp sandwich, and both were amazing; the bread was delicious, soft, and toasted in a really nice way, and the sauce was amazing. I also ordered loaded fries, which melted in your mouth. I would like to thank the employee 🫶🏻 at the restaurant. I didn't get her name, but she was cheerful and helpful, and she helped me choose dishes (I've included a photo of her in the comment). If you live in Hamburg or are visiting as a tourist, you must try this restaurant — it's absolutely incredible! I first stopped there for lunch while driving from Copenhagen to Amsterdam, and on my way back from Brussels to Copenhagen, I couldn't resist stopping again — it's just too good to miss. I ordered the grilled and fried shrimp rolls — both were amazing! The bread was delicious, soft, and perfectly toasted, and the sauce was fantastic. I also got the loaded fries with cheese and jalapeños — they literally melt in your mouth. 🤤 I’d also like to thank the lovely staff member 🫶🏻 (I didn’t catch her name) — she was super friendly, helpful, and even assisted me in choosing the dishes. This place left me really good vibes. The tiger pravn roll and fries were excellent. The dirty upgrade was hot, but not too much. The sweet chili dip the waiter recommended was also great. Fries were also excellent. The place resembles more like a bar than a restaurant with graffitis and industrial style. The waitress was very nice and was not hesitate to recommend the rolls. She also gave me a hint how to eat it (like a hot dog). Overall I felt very welcome, everything was so easy, and the staff was super friendly and helpful.

A modern twist on a fish sandwich, a true taste experience! I especially recommend the Black Tiger Rolls, always freshly prepared.

We were looking for a nice restaurant for dinner. The subtitle of Underdock (fish restaurant) sounded promising. We quickly found a table in the small outdoor dining area, even though it was extremely cramped and dark for four people. The menu then brought the next disappointment: just rolls, tacos, or shrimp on chips with cheese on top... clearly not a full-fledged fish restaurant, but a fast-food joint. At this point, we should have gotten up and left. The food was accordingly disappointing. The shrimp and crab in the rolls were completely lost in the bread, sauces, and cheese. Whether shrimp, crab, or crayfish—even if it had been meat or vegetarian—it probably wouldn't have tasted much different. At least this monotony tasted OK, but overall, we left the restaurant disappointed and with a feeling of lump in our stomachs; even the free caraway schnapps couldn't do much to cure that. The tacos are small, appropriate for the price, but difficult to eat with your hands. Although we were told that most people eat them with utensils, they are served directly on the paper tray, saving you the need for a small plate. The fact that the paper tears and you sit directly on the tray (and you know how they're usually cleaned) is a given. Even if the ingredients justify the price, you can certainly eat much better for a similar price – or, conversely, eat a first-class three-course meal for just over three rolls. I would like to highlight the staff. Everyone was very courteous, helpful, and friendly. I usually choose restaurants carefully and then happily and quite often give them 5 stars: In this case, I only briefly saw the high rating and didn't look any further – which turned out to be a clear mistake. Given the food offered (and I don't mean the quality of the day, but the general orientation), I can't in good conscience give it more than 2 stars.

This place is all about food and vibe! I came here on a recommendation and was delighted at the food and taste. The men and women serving were super friendly and smiled throughout. Dirty tiger loaded fries- this one is a killer combo! We especially wanted to have it with truffel mayo so we ordered it extra on the side. Loved it!! We also ordered the grilled lax taco - it was a simple but flavourful companion of the loaded fries.

The service was great! Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. Homemade lemonade was delicious. We both had the fish and chips - it was a good meal. Portion size of the size of the fish was ok but cook perfectly. The chips were super tasty. The herb mayo we were indifferent about, I would have liked something a bit more tart for the oiliness of a fish and chips dish. Overall it felt priced.

I was looking forward to this restaurant for a long time. I arrived and saw a very crowded outdoor area, but I still managed to get a seat. My order was taken quickly, and the food arrived relatively quickly. Unfortunately, I have to say, in my opinion, it's just a hype spot. It was tasty, no question. But it wasn't anything special in my opinion. Another negative point is that there are five waiters running around, and having to wait half an hour to pay isn't so good. All in all, this review sounds harsher than it is. I would go again, but it wouldn't be my first stop for a fish sandwich.

Besucht in 08/24 im Zuge eines Hamburg-Trips. Das Underdocks ist Teil zahlreicher kleiner Lokale, Büdchen, Ticketverkaufsstände für Schiffsfahrten, etc. an den wunderschönen Landungsbrücken direkt an der Elbe gelegen. Im Underdocks gibt es keine gewöhnlichen Fischbrötchen, hier werden eine Art Brioche-Brötchen samt Leckereien aus dem Meer und geschmackvollen Soßen serviert. Bestellt hatte ich eines mit Black Tiger Garnelen (s. beigefügtes Foto). Es schmeckte hervorragend, wenngleich es auch ein bisschen eine Sauerei war, da man Inhalt beim Essen verlieren kann und sich auch die Soße ihren Weg auf den Tisch, die Hände oder den Boden bahnt. Mit 10,- € war das Brötchen nicht günstig, trotzdem hat sich der Besuch gelohnt.

Habe die berühmte Lobszer Roll probiert und muss sagen, Sie ist ihr Geld wert! Leckere Fish Rolls und Fish and Chips der anderen Art Ist ein guter Tipp

Waren auf Empfehlung eines Freundes hier und erst ein wenig skeptisch, ob es nicht eine hippe „Falle“ ist. Aber: Lange haben wir nichtmehr so preiswert, ja günstig gegessen - mit Blick auf die Portionen UND (erst recht!) die Qualität. Das „Top-Up“ zum Menü unbedingt machen. Eine 150%ige Empfehlung eben und für den nächsten Hamburg-Trip vorgemerkt.

Wir hatten 2x während unseres Hamburg Aufenthaltes mit Freunden hier gegessen. Einmal hatte jeder Fish & Chips mit Cole Slaw bestellt und beim 2.mal haben wir die verschiedenen Brötchen-Varianten probiert. Es war alles super lecker. Auch der Service war megafreundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
