Fantastic, modern fish restaurant with very nice staff. I just don't like the unupholstered chairs.

Mega cool location. If you are in Hamburg you should definitely visit this. We will go to Hamburg more often and will definitely go back. We had the “container for 2 people” and it was delicious 😋. But you should also like fish.

I've been to this fish stall twice now and I have to say, I'm absolutely thrilled and convinced by the service, there aren't many of them. From the nice greeting to the advice to the payment/farewell, I give it a 5☆+ The ambience is "industrial" but look at my photos. I was so excited the first time (crispy tiger roll) and had to show my husband this fish joint. The second time I had crunchy fried fish roll. The fried fish was in there a little too long for me, but that's complaining on a high level. My recommendations are to go in and enjoy the special kind of “fish roll”. We'll come back when we're in HH again and nearby. Stay healthy and keep it up.

Very special street food with fried fish in bread and nice sauces. Well worth a visit, they are very tasty and very good quantities in both the sandwich and the sweet potatoes

When you visit Hamburg, you definitely have to eat fish at some point .😁 Underdocks can help you with that task! They make very cool rolls, which they have in many different varieties. The food tasted very good, even my girlfriend (who is not always the biggest fan of fisch) had fisch and chips and she found it tasty as well. That should tell you everything you need to now. I definitely recommend coming here.

The lobster roll is the Underdock's signature dish, which you can or want to afford for 35 euros. At least half a lobster is used, the bun is a secret recipe, and the sauces are unique. In short: it's worth it!

Really enjoyed this laid back eatery with friendly service and a great menu. I had the crispy pollock roll and the crab taco and both were fantastic, especially washed down with their white beer. Everybody enjoyed their food and it was a great start to our evening.

So I'm giving the food three stars because it's actually not bad. But I'll put it this way: IF you like classic fish sandwiches or classic British fish and chips, then you probably shouldn't go to Underdocks. I tried two of the buns and it wasn't mine: the texture of the buns is SOFT. There is no bite, nothing crunchy, just pure softness. They seem to be completely rolled in butter, which of course there's nothing wrong with, but I found it almost a bit excessively greasy. Well, what was inside is primarily: sweet. Lots of sauce, very sweet, little fish or seafood taste. As I said: Not necessarily BAD, but you just have to want it. The store calls it “revolutionary” and I agree, because it has nothing to do with fish sandwiches anymore. But I found the revolutionary interpretation of fish & chips even more annoying: no beer batter, but a kind of "cornflake" breading like some chicken nuggets. The fish is also in the shape of nuggets. And the chips? These are literally German chips, not fries, unfortunately only crispy on the outside and rather soft in the middle. The chips aren't tasty, but what ever happened to fries? What was wrong with fries? The fish and chips only come with lemon, no vinegar or anything similar. I'm a bit sorry to only give 3 stars because IF you're in the mood for sweet, saucy revolution, then this place might be good. Try it out.

Vinimos aquí para el almuerzo y probamos algunos de los sándwiches y un pescado con patatas fritas. Tenía el rollo de tigre y el rollo de Backfisch. El pescado estaba bueno y las salsas especialmente hicieron que los bocadillos fueran muy sabrosos.

Premium fish sandwiches! The salmon🐳 of the lax roll was crunchy, homemade sauce. Plus avocado and salad. Crayfish Roll🦀 with pineapple is also great! For a snack for €13 each, it’s expensive fun💸. But it's worth it! The waiting times are relatively long for a fish sandwich on hand. The store is always full. Best to reserve.

The fish and chips here are absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside and wonderfully juicy on the inside. It’s definitely worth trying! We ordered, paid, and took ours to go, and everything was packed nicely. I highly recommend it. The atmosphere inside has a somewhat bohemian, dimly lit vibe, which adds a unique charm, though it may not be to everyone’s taste. Be aware, however, that parking nearby can be challenging, so it’s best to plan ahead. Since we don’t drink alcohol, we simply picked up our food and continued on. Overall, it’s a great spot for tasty food with a bit of character!

For the most part the store is perfect. Toilets are clean, food is extremely tasty, homemade drinks are delicious and the ambience is great. Disadvantage: -Price is quite high for the little food you get. -"Normal" soft drinks are in 0.2L format and cost a lot.

Absolute recommendation When we entered the restaurant we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt a good atmosphere. The dishes were freshly and lovingly prepared. The employees are very nice and in a good mood. The homemade lemonade was very refreshing. While eating, I ordered another taco. This was prepared and served quickly. We were completely satisfied and would like to come back.

The food was average! I had shrimp roll and the taste was normal, nothing bad but nothing exceptional as well! Considering the price, the portion was so small! 12.5 euro for a bun with only 5 shrimps? Often I was having only bread! I would not go back to them or recommend them!

My girlfriend and I actually wanted to go to the Mexican restaurant, but it was full. Underdocks had been on our list for a while, so we gave it a try. We weren't disappointed! Food was great, price performance was pretty okay in my opinion. Homemade lemonade is great! Helbing was a nightcap on the house But the two girls from the service were the greatest this evening. Super nice, chatted with us a lot despite the hut being full, my friend was given headache tablets and some water because she wasn't feeling too well. That was really great, you make me feel comfortable. Thank you! :)

We were in Hamburg spontaneously and absolutely had to try out this hyped shop. It was incredibly tasty and Hannes, the owner, is a very friendly, personable guy. He recommended something to us straight away and especially the softshell taco with crab was simply incredible! All in all, we can only recommend it and will definitely come back! Unfortunately nice! We were visiting HH from Frankfurt. Have tried everything classic, but this place takes fish to the next level. We had tacos and rolls. FINALLY AMK. Finally, in keeping with the concept: Digga lousy! 🦞🤤

It took them a long time to bring us the food. We were sitting inside but too crowded with the table next to us and we sat outside more comfortable. The first crab taco was cold and not as delicious, the other 3 we ordered were excellent. The guys who serve are super friendly and attentive! Even so, we really liked the place and its decoration! Of course I would return!

It's all super tasty & totally friendly. I would recommend getting there early, as you have to wait a while for your food and you often have to wait a long time for a seat. However, every minute is worth it!

Das Essen war super lecker - die Kombi aus Fisch mit den hausgemachten Soßen, dem fluffigen Brötchen und Salat war super. Auf den Chips gab's Frühlingszwiebeln....mega gut und passte toll auch mit der Knoblauch-Majo. Der Service war ebenfalls super nett und zum Abschluss gab's auch noch ne Schnäpschen. Hier stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis & ich kann es nur empfehlen. Werde auf jeden Fall bei nächsten Mal in Hamburg wieder kommen.

Modern “Fischbrötchen” restaurant with a great selection. The lobster roll certainly has a fair price for the quality, but the lobster tasted better on its own than in a roll. I found that the delicate taste when biting into the roll was unfortunately masked by the mayo. But if you want to try it, you should definitely do so! I would recommend a side dish with the lobster roll as the portion size is OK.

Everything about this restaurant was just right from start to finish. A nice atmosphere with super friendly service. The food didn't take long to arrive and was simply fantastic both in terms of appearance and taste. From the softshell crab burger to the wasabi cucumber salad, it was incredibly awesome. The Underdocks is definitely one of the best restaurants in Hamburg and is now my all-time favorite!

We ate here as a couple and ordered: - Crayfish Roll** Unfortunately the crayfish sandwich wasn't tasty at all. - Lobster Roll*** The lobster was quite okay and unfortunately slightly dry. The taste is much too mild. It requires sauces that emphasize the taste more, otherwise the price-performance and implementation are definitely not worth it. - Crispy Tiger Roll ***** Value for money the best sandwich! It tasted really good and I can definitely recommend it. Among the sauces, the truffle mayo sauce was number 1 and was super tasty.

We arrived at lunchtime – shortly after the store opened – and were warmly welcomed. The store impresses with its individual and very harmonious design. We were served quickly and the food ("Underdocks Container" and "Salmon Staco") came without a long wait. The creations were really very successful, even if the fish in the container was a bit too dry overall. The bottom line is a welcome change from the monotony of fish in many other places.

I discovered Underdocks online before my visit and really wanted to eat there. There are several locations in Hamburg. I would recommend making a reservation in advance as it is very popular and always seems to be full. The food was delicious, and the selection of veggies was also good and tasty. The service staff was very friendly and also responded to any special requests. I would come again and again

Unfortunately I have to make a small deduction for the new card. The tacos are nonsense, they shouldn't have gotten rid of the container for 2 people and there is now only one (two?) fish and chips variant. This may be easier, but in my opinion it was better before. Everything tastes great, service is good, no question about it but man, that's a downer.

This is my second visit in 2 days. I have tried 5 of their rolls all are very delicious. My favorite is the Black Tiger Roll and the chips. Good vibes and friendly staff.

The fish sandwich is different but not worse. Incredibly lovingly prepared and tasty. Almost experience gastronomy. The price-performance ratio is very good. Simply great, clear recommendation.

Conclusion: A lot of hype about not so good fish fast food. The bread roll (or roll as it is called here) was really nice and dry, the potato chips (fries) were fried down to the last detail and the taste was quite sober. The prices are amazing. The fact that there was a Helbing Kümmel on the house put us in a somewhat mild mood. Unfortunately, there were relatively few staff, but there were a lot of guests, so placing the order and paying took a bit of time. The staff was friendly, but seemed very stressed.

The food is nothing special. Something for people who have little taste but want a certain feeling in return. Looks better than it tastes

Good and kind service. Tasty and juicy food with nice side dishes. Make sure to get the „dirty“ upgrade for your order. Adding extra cheese and jalapenos to your fish roll.

Zunächst mal das Negative: Es ist völlig unmöglich diese Rolls menschenwürdig ohne Sauerei zu futtern….Zudem muss man auf diesen Genuss 10-15 Minuten warten bis man einen Tisch bekommt. Das war’s aber schon mit „negativ“. Selten hatten wir einen derartigen Overkill an Genuss, perfektem Fisch und ausufernden Aromabomben wie hier. So stellt man sich das moderne Fischbrötchen vor! Es gibt keine Salat-Bowls, sondern Schüsseln. Diese machen mehr als satt - der Gurkensalat….🤤 Bedienung top, spaßig, sehr gute Beratung und man stellt ein Menü auf Empfehlung zusammen mit dem man auch noch günstig wegkommt… Am nächsten Tag zum Imbiss an den Landungsbrücken gleich nochmal hin… 4 Personen, 3 Bier , 1 Wein, völlig beglückt und praktisch überfressen für 95€….Preis absolut korrekt!

Durch Zufall erfuhren wir, daß es jetzt underdocks auch bei den Landungsbrücken gibt, also nichts wie hin!! Fischbrötchen war gestern! Wir hatten am Sonntag welche auf dem Fischmarkt gegessen, Lichtjahre entfernt! Ich hätte mit durch die Karte essen können, der Preis angemessen und das Brot einfach himmlisch! Sofort wieder!!
