Very tasty Persian food in an authentic atmosphere! The price/performance ratio is also excellent here

It was our first time there, the food is really expensive and also very cold. I will never go there again, so I recommend it zero percent.

The decor is amazing and adds to the authenticity of the place. The customer service was excellent—the young lady at the entrance welcomed guests with great respect, and the waitstaff were professional and attentive. Their warm hospitality made the experience even better. However, the food could use some improvement. The Kashk-e-Bademjan was delicious and well-prepared, but the Bamiyan mixed dish was underwhelming. While the lamb cutlet was decent, the rest of the dish was not cooked well. The rice seemed to be only briefly boiled, lacked salt, and overall was quite bland. The entire dish was missing the necessary spices to bring out the flavors, making it feel overpriced for the quality. Additionally, I found it disappointing that the waitstaff approached my table asking for the bill to be paid while I was still drinking my tea. This felt rushed and took away from the dining experience. Overall, while the atmosphere and service were great, the food quality and dining experience need some improvement for the price point.

A wonderful experience at Bamiyan Restaurant! The atmosphere is very inviting and authentic, which immediately creates a special atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, you feel well looked after. The food is simply outstanding – the flavors are intense and fresh, and every dish is prepared with great attention to detail. I particularly liked the Afghan specialties. If you are looking for a taste journey, you have definitely come to the right place.

Afghan restaurant with traditional cuisine and grill. Nicely decorated restaurant, and in summer you can sit outside in a secluded outdoor area. As a starter I had Chatni, vegetables pickled in vinegar and slightly spicy with herbs. For the main course I had Halifa, lamb skewer pieces on eggplant puree with flatbread and rice. The lamb was fried to perfection, I would have liked a little sauce for the rice as it was a bit dry. The food was very tasty and there are many other good dishes on the menu. The service was extremely friendly and I can recommend the restaurant!

The service was really bad. Long waiting times. You are ignored. My food didn't come until 20 minutes after the rest of the people had eaten. Then it was the wrong one and it wasn't even warm anymore. Ordering more drinks was almost impossible. The food was ok, but definitely not appropriate for the price. I can't recommend dishes with rice because you just end up with a huge portion of unseasoned dry rice.

Good day, I've eaten Persian minced skewers all my life and I've eaten them everywhere in Hamburg. , I thought to myself today I'm going to eat bamiyan, when I came in there was no requirement, I wanted to sit by the window but the waiter insisted that I have to sit somewhere else because the 4 seater table was too big for me, we then ordered food a cubic plate wait time bite it comes 20 minutes eat really cold I started eating and straight away I had a glass piece in my mouth, I spit it straight out I wouldn't have noticed I don't want to know what would happen then would , I said that to the waiter, then the boss came, very unfriendly, touched me on his shoulders and pressed me to be quiet and that something like that can happen at such a price that is unimaginable for a little bit. Rice that is cold, the boss said to go outside and outside he said that it could happen that there is a piece of glass inside

We were here on a Saturday afternoon. The service was VERY nice, friendly and accommodating. The food was very tasty and also a lot. We had Quabuli. This is a pile of rice with raisins and carrots. Braised lamb is underneath the rice. It was very tasty. I've eaten this dish elsewhere before, but I liked it a bit better here. There is always a small bowl with this delicious spinach dish as standard. It was very tasty. I actually thought I didn't like it but I think I'll order it next time. We'll definitely be back.

The dish for two people was just cold, like it came from the fridge, only the rice was warm. The grilled dishes weren't necessarily very warm either. Another person's food didn't even come and it only came after repeated requests. The taste of the food is nothing special - I had better Afghan food in Hamburg and it's not even worth it for the price. The service staff was nice and friendly and the atmosphere is also nice. Nevertheless, it is far too expensive for cold food and you have to order yogurt and salad separately, although the dishes themselves are quite expensive. My brother had left the same thing as a review, unfortunately the operator deleted it and marked it as alleged slander, although it was simply honest criticism and our experience! I hope that in the future they don't constantly delete their negative reviews but take them seriously and try to change something.

The store is undoubtedly pretty to look at. From afar! Of course, if you take a closer look at everything, you'll find a few problems. For starters I can recommend the Keshke Bademjun! I'm not exaggerating when I say that this is the best in ALL of Hamburg! For about €6 it's totally fine for two people. If you order this alone, you will find that it is very filling, so be careful! But now to the main courses. The meat was good but really nothing special. For the prices I think it's pretty cheeky. The meat was also quite dry even though it was marinated in sauce. Rice was good though! You get two types. The drinks would be good too. The Daugh and the KiBa were great. In total I paid €76 for 3 people with a starter, main course and drinks.

We were there for the first time an hour ago (traveled from Hanover) and are unfortunately very disappointed. The service was very poor even though it wasn't particularly busy. We had to wait a long time for someone to even take our order - in the end we went to the front ourselves to let them know. We had soup as a starter and Kabab Waziri and Kubideh as our main course. Unfortunately, both were served cold and, to be honest, we weren't impressed with the taste. We wouldn't go there again and in our opinion we can't recommend the restaurant.

We used to love coming here, but today was our last visit. It started with the greasy menus. When we ordered the lukewarm cola arrived. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has decreased quite a bit. The rice was so soaked in butter that we couldn't eat it. The meat also tasted bland, but was still edible in contrast to the “grilled” tomatoes, which were obviously prepared hours before. We also ordered a small portion of Sabzi (Afghan spinach) where 2 tablespoons were served, the small bowl was not even half full. We brought that up too, but the answer was just that the same bowls have been used since we opened. However, the service is very friendly and keeps asking if everything is OK. It's a shame that the store has slacked off so much.

My worst experience ever. We came today as a group of 15 people. I made a reservation two days ago and have already ordered the food that should be on the table today. We arrived at 7pm today and would have to wait until 9pm for our food. Seven to eight tables that arrived later than us were already served, but none came to us. When the food arrived at 9:10 p.m. and not complete, one got it and the other after 10 minutes. Some of us finished eating, then the food came from the rest. The food was cold. The staff hardly reacted to it and the boss was not visible or available to speak to. That was my first and last time. I was completely embarrassed in front of my guests. The food wasn't anything special either. I would like to rate it with zero stars. This restaurant is not recommended at all. Three other guests next to us also had to wait with us, they even waited longer than us. Simply a waste of money. ZERO ZERO ZERO.

Last night we went to Bamyan Restaurant for dinner. We ordered eggplant curd as a starter, it was nothing like the eggplant curd we had eaten earlier and it tasted doughy. We ordered vegetable soup from the menu but they said we didn't have it. We ordered rice and kebab, unfortunately the meat was not cooked well and had no taste. We also ordered a muscle press with rice, but unfortunately the rice had no oil and salt and was very dry. The behavior of the staff was not good. After dinner we had a cup of tea and asked for tea again, but unfortunately we don't know if a restaurant can make me tea. In short, it wasn't as advertised. I hope they take these customer comments seriously and take action.

Very good food, especially the versions with meat are very good. For vegetarians or vegans there are even 3-4 meals, which unfortunately are not convincing. The ambience is particularly well done in the rear outdoor area.

We had a very nice spot under a kind of cave next to an artificial waterfall. The main course didn't taste particularly bad, but it didn't taste particularly good either. The dessert (Shirijach) tasted very good.

The food was really tasty, but I would have liked to have had more vegetables or meat instead of 1/3 meat, 1 half a tomato, 1 jalapeno and 2/3 rice. The rice was nicely cooked, not too dry! But there would have been more variety on the plate. The service was understaffed on the day I visited, which meant there was a waiting time. But this was communicated in a friendly manner, which is why it was okay. But they didn't understand that the long waiting times (also for the drinks and then 2 couldn't be offered) came about even though only about 4 tables were occupied.

I tried some ghabuli made by my wife, which I also found very tasty. For dessert we had Shiryakh, which I also found very tasty. The young lady who served us was very polite and attentive. We were lucky that we ordered on time because shortly after we arrived there was a group of more than 20 people who had reserved a huge table. Since we had ordered beforehand, our food was served very quickly. It's a shame that we no longer live in Hamburg and can therefore rarely eat in this great restaurant.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting "Restaurant Bamiyan" and I must say it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant proudly bears the name of my hometown and embodies its charm and culture in every corner. The facility is lovingly decorated and is reminiscent of the most beautiful places and sights of Bamiyan. The food was absolutely delicious. You can taste the care and quality in every bite, and the menu offers a great selection of dishes that reflect both traditional and modern influences from our local cuisine.

We visited this restaurant today in a group of six and were very dissatisfied with the service. We had to wait over an hour for our food, and when it finally arrived, three people got their food while the other three still had to wait. We waited about 20 minutes until the others got their food. Since the others obviously didn't want to eat and wanted to wait for the others, their food ended up being cold. The food I ordered was something like stew with lamb. Surprisingly I only had 3 mini pieces of lamb and just one boiled lemon. I've eaten this meal there before and I definitely didn't have any boiled lemon in it back then. The starters were completely forgotten and only served after the main course, which in my opinion is not possible. That's what the appetizers are for. We also ordered Qabuli. Only after half an hour we were informed that Qabuli was no longer available and we had to choose something else. This information should have been given to us much earlier. We arrived at the same time as another group who got their food much earlier. This group had already eaten and was drinking tea while we still had not received our food. Despite reminding the waiter several times, our orders were not processed correctly or in a timely manner. The tea we ordered never arrived, even though we pointed this out several times. Overall a very disappointing experience. The staff is very young and you can see that they have no experience. In my opinion, the wrong corners were cut. We won't be coming back, which is a shame because the food is delicious but the service is impossible. In the evening everything is a mess and they can't manage to organize themselves. The toilets also looked terrible.

Very few Germans can say whether it is traditional Afghan cuisine. A Moroccan salted lemon in the lamb goulash is not one of them, but it does enhance the meal. It tasted good throughout. The meat and sauce in relation to the huge portion of rice doesn't quite fit.

I had dinner there with my girlfriend the day before yesterday and we were both absolutely thrilled. Very nice atmosphere, very friendly service. Since I'm vegan I was worried about whether I would find anything, but there are some vegan options. We were given a few things to try, like an eggplant dish that is usually made with eggs was served without eggs so I could eat it. Very, very tasty. You can taste that the eggplant was grilled. For the main course I had vegan kebab, which was delicious. The portions are really big and I took some home with me. My girlfriend had some homemade ice cream and I had some tea. Since the garden is behind the house, it is nice and quiet there and you don't even notice that you are on a busy street. All in all, an absolute recommendation from me. We will definitely come back.

A friend of mine decided to visit this restaurant because of the viral advertisements on social media while visiting Hamburg. The service staff were attentive and polite. However, the food arrived at the table cold and some of the rice was hard. (Scraped rice from bottom part of pot) Super good concept but unfortunately failed in the kitchen. Absolutely not recommended for the price. I will continue to discourage my guests from visiting this restaurant in the future.

Was mediocre. The taste is a bit bland compared to Qasr, I think it lacks spices. The rice was ok, it tasted very much like butter, I think it would be better if you got the small packet of butter separately so that you can measure the amount in your rice yourself.
