Lovely atmosphere, incredibly delicious and authentic Brazilian food. They've clearly put thought into every dish, with a well-thought-out concept and wonderful composition. The restaurant seems to be run with a lot of love. You feel right at home here, and on some days there's even live music! We always love coming back! Our absolute favorite Brazilian restaurant.

Incredibly delicious Brazilian tapas and a great restaurant with live music

This is a rather cute and finely decorated Brazilian restaurant that is different than the Rodizio restaurants you can find all around Europe. The service is attentive but sometimes seemingly disorganized. The live music was quite nice and provided a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Those were the plus sides of this place. Unfortunately I can’t say much positive things on the food. They were surely not bad, but something was surely missing. The prices were on higher end compared to other restaurants but the quality or the quantity don’t fit in to that price range. We were 8 persons at our table and nobody left satisfied with their food. Either the taste was bland and boring , or something was overcooked or the amount was far from satisfactory while the prices painted a different picture. I am willing to pay more for a nice dinner, but the food should justify the price which we didn’t feel like at this place. Still, the cocktails and atmosphere were fine, hence I would give some stars.

I ordered a delicious steak, which I highly recommend. The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic, and the service was very friendly and attentive.

One of the best Brazilian restaurants in Hamburg.

My only previous experience with Brazilian restaurants was a visit to a "rodizio," a very meat-heavy affair where the meat was more likely tortured to death than cooked to perfection, and the best cuts were merely paraded around for show. This restaurant was the complete opposite. Despite the small menu, I was surprised and delighted by the variety and the recipes, as were my three companions. The service was quick, mostly attentive, and the staff seemed to be in a very good mood :-) The staff's assessments and recommendations, especially regarding the Brazilian beers, were spot on and contributed to our enjoyable evening.

The steak was really bad! The meat was incredibly tough and tasteless. The other dishes weren't great either. We wouldn't go back :( The atmosphere was very cool though :)

We were here on a Wednesday, and they have live music (one man with one guitar). The whole team is super friendly, if not super-professional. I think friendly is more important. It's a cute little shop, beautifully colorful, and everything we ordered was delicious.

The appetizers were all authentic and flavorful, especially with the dips. The picanha, which was supposed to be the centerpiece, was unfortunately much too dry and not cooked to perfection. What a shame!

We stopped by for dinner at XODO in hamburg. Nice cozy restaurant decorated in authentic south american decor and friendly welcoming staff. There's table and chairs outside as well. Had the crispy friend cassava with homemade rose dip, Brazilian tropical salad without chicken and the brazilian green soup. The cassava was so crispy and tasted good the rose dip. The salas was so refreshing with the homemade mango dressing. And the soup was different and tasted so good. Never had brazilian soup. For entrees we had the fish stew with fish fillets, tomatoes, coconut milk. Was sooo good. We also had the tagliatelle pasta with wine marinated shrimps and tasted good. The picanha was good and had farofa with bacon which I have never tasted before. We topped it off with passion fruit mousse, brazilian flan and chocolate balls made with condensed milk cocoa and butter. The deserts were heavenly. Thank you for a delicious meal.

Great restaurant! The picanha was so tender, the beans so beautifully seasoned – a definite recommendation! The atmosphere is also fantastic, just like in Brazil: cheerful, relaxed, simply happy.

We had the stuffed pineapple, the rump steak with beans, and delicious fried cassava as a starter. Allergens are clearly displayed, and food intolerances are taken into account. Finding a parking space is a bit difficult.

Whoever is Brazilian and DARE to complain about this place is already dead on the inside. This place is not only feeding my bely very well, but it is also feeding my soul, taking me home while i am there. Everything i tried was amazing (picanha, entrances, pudim and etc). Everyone from the restaurant is super sympathisch and on Wednesdays there is live mpb music, so cozy! Im so glad this piece of Brazil exists in Hamburg 🥰

Based on the exceptionally high reviews on The Fork, TripAdvisor, and Google, we chose this restaurant for dinner. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. I ordered soup, but to my surprise, it was served in a small dish that was only half full. At first, I assumed this was standard, but when my colleagues received their portions, their dishes were at least properly filled. For my main course, I specifically requested a rare rump steak and asked to replace the mashed potatoes with vegetables. The steak was indeed small (180g, as stated on the menu), but it arrived overcooked, and the dish still included mashed potatoes. When I pointed out that the steak was not rare, the waiter took a knife and rudely cut into it, insisting that the center was rare. Given the small size of the steak, only the very middle was cooked to my preference, leaving most of it overdone. As a result, I only ate part of it and left the side dish untouched. Throughout the experience, the waiter made no effort to resolve the situation. I would not recommend this restaurant.

I went there with two friends of mine and I was super excited. The food didn't arrive complete (it came with a missing order). The food was very salty, and the fried cassava was very hard and unsalted. We ordered 2 juices and they came completely tasteless. What a shame.

An absolute highlight! The Xodo in Hamburg completely impressed us with its modern Brazilian ambience and incredibly warm atmosphere. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, the live music creates a great atmosphere and the team is attentive and friendly. Our waiter gave us perfect advice and the starter and main courses - especially the steak with delicious cassava puree - were prepared to perfection. I have rarely been so positively surprised: excellent food, great hosts and an unforgettable experience. We'll definitely be back!

Friendly service but lack of attention, my boyfriend ordered a second beer and they forgot to deliver it, we also asked for the bill and they forgot and after 20 minutes we reminded him and they brought it. The dish with picanha is good but the beans lacked salt and seasoning.

Went there with my girlfriend this evening, there was live music and the food was delicious! The people were incredibly warm and open! Rarely have I had such a great evening!

It was recommended by fellow brazilian friend. Service is friendly, although we had to wait to get the waiter’s attention to pay for 20mins and there were only 2 other tables. Food is ok. Nothing special- the grilled pineapple was a favourite. The salad with mango is 95% greens and very thin slices of mango, i dont recommmend it. Also the fish stew only had 3-4 prawns in a tiny bowl (could be used as a capuccino cup). The appetizers were great, price quality. We would come back but only If they adjust either the portion size to the price (currently very overpriced) or if they adjust the price to the portions (instead of 26-30€ per main course, lower to 15€).

First: The staff was super nice and courteous. I had the fish stew. Unfortunately there was very little fish in the stew. The coriander was also quite tasteless. The coconut base was more oil than coconut. The portion could have been a little larger for the price. All in all, it's a good place to go, but for me the price/performance ratio isn't right.

Restaurant reserved for 12/31/2024 New Year's Eve evening for still €98 4 small bite courses but as we reserved online the boss made the choice of our dishes, appointment for 8 p.m. we will bring you a cup and we will make it for you wait 1 hour to bring us the surprise of the kitchen which was to be served with the cup. Much too expensive for the menu which was served. We of course received the owner's apologies but that did not change much for our evening Disappointed disappointed never again restaurant evening on New Year's Eve

We celebrated our birthday and were greeted very nicely. Most of the dishes were really great, like the chicken, coxinhas, moqueca, shrimp noodles. The Brigadeiro balls were also delicious. In contrast was the picanha dish, although the sauce is divine, the meat is in too large pieces and so tough that I couldn't bite it off or cut it apart. Therefore it was not edible. This shouldn't actually happen. I let you know about this, but unfortunately nothing happened. We would have expected at least a little attention from the kitchen or something similar. It's a shame :)

My personal, honest and non-bought review of this restaurant. I didn't travel 1000 kilometers to dine here, I just happened to eat here with my mother. Because we actually wanted to go to the Thai/Vietnamese restaurant who had been in the same place for years. However, this one had already set the bar very high. Since we are culinary but always open minded, we thought why not try Brazilian. And. The food was definitely okay, but nothing more. In my case the experience was just average. The chicken, with fries and this special sauce, plus a side salad, was tasty, but nothing that I can't make myself at home. My mother's résumé, who had pasta, was similar. Overall, not a bad experience, just mediocre. Hence only 3 stars. I would recommend the restaurants next door on the street.

I'm Brazilian and i can say this place is perfect. We got the xodó mix, picanha, bobó de camarão plus caipirinhas, and everything was excellent. Definitely recommend and will be coming back.
