One of my favourite restaurants in Hamburg!

Very good, seasonal, regional and finely prepared and presented cuisine. We had sensational variations of pumpkin, a pretty hearty, smoky vegetable soup with kale ravioli and damn good duck breast. There was a Christmas party taking place at the same time as we were visiting, which is probably why the breaks between courses were unfortunately unacceptably long. Lastly, the price, which is probably reasonable for the food and easy to calculate due to the staggering in courses. At the end we were offered a digestif, unfortunately without mentioning that it costs €10 each - that should have been different and in the end it reduced the service a little. All in all, a great evening and highly recommended cuisine.

We have been eating here regularly for many years. It's always very tasty in this small authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Service very friendly and the same young team - big recommendation! My recommendation 10a and the Bun

Great, stylish ambiance. The evening menu starting at 5:00 p.m. is unfortunately quite expensive. There are no restrooms in the restaurant (since the houseboat is apparently a listed building). You have to rely on the public restrooms on the nearby pontoon, which also cost money. The "Tomahawk Steak" menu for two people was rather mediocre. We mentioned it, but there was no reaction; just a shrug that it's just the way it is. It's a real shame. We had actually expected more from the food, especially for the price.

Today we were privileged to discover Hamburg's first Yemeni restaurant – and what can we say: The wait was more than worth it! For our starter, we chose the mixed appetizer plate (€15.90), which offered a true taste experience with moutabel, baba ghanoush, fatoush salad, hummus, and fresh moulaweh bread. The flavors were balanced, fresh, and perfectly matched – ideal for sharing and a wonderful introduction to Yemeni cuisine. For our main course, we had the Mandy Lamb Plate (€19.90). The slow-cooked lamb was incredibly tender and intensely seasoned – you could almost taste that it was prepared traditionally, almost as if it came from an underground oven. The accompanying Mandy rice was light and aromatic, and the spicy Sahaweq sauce perfectly rounded out the dish. The portion was very generous – ideal for sharing or for those with a really big appetite. Today we also tried Mandy Chicken with Mandy Rice (€13.90) – a Yemeni classic: half a chicken slowly cooked in traditional spices, so tender and aromatic as if it had been cooked in an underground oven. The long-grain Arabic rice was, as usual, fluffy and perfectly seasoned – a real highlight. Particularly attentive: I was asked if I'd like some house rice – great service! And the Yemeni tea in a glass with fresh mint was delicious and rounded off the meal perfectly. The restaurant was busy, which speaks volumes about the quality – reserving a table in advance is therefore recommended. The ambience is authentic and inviting, and the service is friendly and attentive. Tip: There is also a daily lunch menu from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – ideal for a delicious, quick, yet special lunch break. It's worth taking a look at the menu (Monday to Friday) – see picture! Conclusion: Authentic Yemeni cuisine, generous portions, and fair prices – a clear recommendation! We'll definitely be back.

I loved it. The food was very good and cheap. I would definitely go back. The only bad thing is that they don't open in the afternoon/evening. 😪
