Sehr gute Speisen, sehr freundlicher Gastgeber mit Gastgeber-Charme. Gerade der Mittagstisch ist preislich absolut fair und sehr zu empfehlen. Große Empfehlung!

Wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt und zu unserem schönen Tisch gebracht. Vorab gab es eine Aufmerksamkeit des Hauses und eine sehr gute Empfehlung bzgl. Getränke. Die Speisen waren von hervorragender Qualität. Man verbringt hier einen wirklich sehr gelungenen Abend. Top!

Gutes Essen und nette Bedienung

Irre gutes Essen! Auf den ersten Blick zwar hauptsächlich bekannte, klassische Gerichte auf der Karte, allerdings kommt jedes davon immer mit dem gewissen 'Etwas' und mit wahrnehmbar erleseneren Zutaten. Der Service ist beispiellos gut und das gesamte Ambiente, innen wie außen, birgt außergewöhnlich viel Liebe zum Detail in Einrichtung und Gestaltung, um den Genuß der Gäste während ihres Aufenthaltes gekonnt mit einem I-Tüpfelchen zu versehen. Unbedingt dort Speisen!

Das Essen war lecker, kam aber extrem schnell, was nicht gerade für „richtiges“ kochen steht. Für 18 Euro zum Mittag, hätte die Portion etwas größer sein dürfen. Brot als Beilage war sehr gut und hat meinen Hunger nach dem essen gestillt. Der Preis für eine cranberry Schorle für 6 Euro ist schon eine Hausnummer, da kaum Saft im Sprudel war. Mein Fazit: viel zu hochpreisig für die Qualität und Menge. Ist nett eingerichtet und die Bedienung war freundlich. Es war aber erstmal mein letzter Besuch.

Wir waren mit 8 Personen dort. Das Essen fanden alle hervorragend ! Das Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Leider war die laute Musik furchtbar und hat den Abend sehr getrübt. Leider war das Personal nicht gewillt oder in der Lage das zu ändern.

Ein Restaurant, welches jeder Fleischliebhaber besucht haben muss. Die Fleischqualität ist Top. Gargrad perfekt getroffen. Grillaromen einfach zum Schmelzen. Es ist nicht günstig, aber jeden einzelnen Euro wert!

Die Speisewirtschaft Metzger in Hamburg hat uns richtig überzeugt – hier dreht sich vieles um sehr gutes Fleisch, das klar im Mittelpunkt steht. Die Qualität der Speisen ist insgesamt sehr hoch, allerdings auch preislich auf einem gehobenen Niveau. Es war auf dem Punkt. Fleisch-Enthusiasten sind ja richtig. Der Service war durchweg sehr nett und herzlich, auch wenn man gemerkt hat, dass es zeitweise ziemlich stressig ist. Der Laden ist extrem gut besucht, entsprechend ist es etwas lauter und man sitzt recht eng. Insgesamt aber absolut empfehlenswert und charmant – wir kommen gern wieder.

Sehr enttäuschender Besuch. Das Steak war zäh und sehr fettig – ganz anders als beschrieben, als ich vorher nachgefragt habe. Für diese extrem hohen Preise ist die Qualität des Essens absolut nicht gerechtfertigt. Der Service war unprofessionell. Der Serviceleiter war unhöflich und arrogant, eine andere Servicekraft hat laut gelacht und war kaum aufmerksam. Insgesamt nicht empfehlenswert.

Guter Service, gutes Essen, ziemlich laut. Dass bestimmte Kreditkarten (Diners & American Express) nicht akzeptiert werden, fanden wir ärgerlich.

Ich wurde vom ersten Moment an herzlich empfangen. Mir fiel sofort die authentische Art des Personals auf, die dem Restaurant die Atmosphäre eines echten Stammgastlokals verlieh – etwas, das ich sehr schätzte. Als Hauptgang wählte ich das Schnitzel, das ich köstlich und perfekt zubereitet fand. Auch das Dessert rundete das Erlebnis perfekt ab: ein Strudel, meisterhaft neu interpretiert und modern interpretiert – eine wirklich originelle Idee. Einzig die Parkplatzsuche gestaltete sich etwas schwierig, aber das ist in diesem Viertel wohl ein bekanntes Problem. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder, um den Rest der Speisekarte zu entdecken.

I rarely leave reviews, but it's absolutely appropriate here. The service was excellent. We were there with a group of 20 people, and all the dishes arrived together, so no one had to wait. The meat was absolutely top-notch. Cooked to perfection, tender, beautifully presented, and truly delicious. The prices are absolutely justified for the quality, service, and ambiance. We can recommend it without reservation. We will definitely be back. Many thanks to Boris Nikolai and the team for the excellent service.

The steak was okay, but the fries were more like chips and the food was extremely salty. Sorry, but that's a no-go!

We just stumbled into the shop after a hair appointment and were blown away. The meat (in all its varieties) was fantastic. Markus's advice was amazing, and the ambiance was perfect, too. We'll definitely be back.

We were here for our wedding anniversary to celebrate this special occasion. The restaurant is busy, but after a short wait, you can find a seat. When the weather is nice, you can sit comfortably with a view of the Poelchaukamp. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is of high quality and beautifully prepared. The meat, in particular, is of high quality and highly recommended. There's also a good selection of drinks, and the cocktails were delicious. We found the prices a bit too high, however, even for the Mühlenkamp. A small nightcap on the house would have been nice after a bill of over €200. Overall, it's worth a visit, but with the caveats mentioned.

We had the octopus, the schnitzel, and the spare ribs. Everything was excellently prepared. The octopus was one of the best I've ever had. 👌

The outstanding service deserves special mention. Markus, in particular, goes above and beyond in his unique way to make you feel truly at home.

We had dinner at Speisewirtschaft von Metzgers recently, and overall, it was a fairly average experience. The interior is nicely decorated with a warm charm that makes it feel welcoming. It was quite noisy. The staff was polite and attentive, though the service was a bit on the slow side, especially between courses. I ordered a filet steak, which was cooked to the requested medium-rare and it had the depth of flavor I was hoping for. It was tender, but the seasoning was quite subtle. The side dishes, like the grilled vegetables and fries, were decent but not particularly memorable. The wine list had some good options, though a bit pricey for what was offered. Unfortunately, the starter beet-tartar was offered with Burrata but served with feta cheese without any Information from the staff. The tartar was ok. In summary, Speisewirtschaft von Metzgers is a decent choice if you're in the area and craving steak, but it might not leave a lasting impression. Worth a visit, but not necessarily a must-visit.

Great food, great atmosphere + service

First of all, it was an absolute feast for the palate. Unfortunately, I deduct one point for the ambiance. We arrived very early (5 p.m.) and enjoyed a very pleasant and peaceful atmosphere for the first hour. Unfortunately, after the restaurant filled with guests, the acoustics became very loud. I think the problem lies in the concrete walls and floor, the lack of pictures on the walls, or the acoustic problem could be solved with stylish wooden panels/wall panels. The service is outstanding! Friendly, attentive, and humorous. They love their job and let the guests feel it – no fake friendliness! Everything on the table was of very good, fresh quality and very well prepared. All prices were justified! The three of us ate a 1265g T-bone. It was grilled to perfection, and we were allowed to look at the OX grill... amazing! If you'd like to eat a good steak and are willing to pay for quality, then Metzger's is the place for you. We'd love to come back; it was a wonderful evening with you, one we won't soon forget! Thank you - keep up the good work.

An absolute recommendation! We felt very comfortable and were pleasantly surprised. The service was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance is cozy and inviting. But the real reason that won us over 100% was the steak! For starters, we had octopus and asparagus cream soup, both of which were excellent. The main course was an 800g ribeye with mini fries, leaf spinach, and potato gratin, with the ribeye being simply fantastic. Perfectly grilled, presented at the table, and the quality of the meat was unparalleled. As a nightcap, we had something delicious from Ziegler. All in all, a successful evening and one worth repeating.

I recently went to the restaurant for dinner. Very good and attentive service, as well as excellent dishes. However, you do pay a hefty price for that. Nevertheless, it's definitely a recommendation for meat lovers.

I have visited many steakhouses in Hamburg, but this is the best!

The place can be really fun. The service is great, and the meat tends to be good to very good. That's why people like coming here. The price/performance ratio, however, is rather unsatisfactory in key areas. Specifically, there were four of us there, and in addition to appetizers and cocktails, we ordered two rib eyes on the bone, each weighing about 1 kg, plus various side dishes. The meat was priced at €18 per 100g. For a total of 2 kg of meat, it was definitely expensive. It was a shame that both pieces, in addition to the bone itself, had at least one-third of the meat being wasted due to the excessive fat. I take some responsibility for this – we should have asked to see the raw pieces beforehand. Nevertheless, you're paying a lot of weight for what's essentially "dead goods." The price/performance ratio is even more off with the side dishes, such as the green asparagus. The portions are honestly a joke for the prices they charge. That's a shame and unfortunately significantly spoils the overall experience.

A thoroughly successful evening! The service was outstanding – attentive, warm, and professional. The four cuts we chose from the six presented were perfectly cooked and of the highest quality – true craftsmanship that inspires. Even the starter, the bread and homemade crème fraîche dip with mustard seeds completely won over our group of ten. The side dishes were also a highlight: white asparagus with hollandaise sauce, pommes allumettes, wild cauliflower, spinach, and a wonderfully creamy potato gratin – all harmonious, finely seasoned, and perfectly complemented the meat. The wine recommendation was divine and perfectly rounded off the experience. For us, a solid 10 out of 10 – absolutely top-notch in terms of cuisine, atmosphere, and service. We will definitely be back!

We were able to reserve a table for two quite spontaneously – the last-minute reservation worked out without any problems. The ambiance is tasteful and pleasant, ideal for a relaxing evening for two. The service was outstanding: attentive, warm, and with an excellent wine recommendation that perfectly complemented the appetizers – including beetroot, carpaccio, and an excellently seasoned tuna. The Black Angus tartare was also outstanding. For main courses, we chose the 350g rib-eye steak and a tuna steak, each accompanied by homemade potato gratin and herb butter. The rib-eye tasted fantastic – a real grilled flavor, perfectly cooked medium-rare, just right. The portions were so generous that we unfortunately didn't have room for dessert – one more reason to return soon. In summary: Great food, a harmonious atmosphere, and service that rounded off the overall experience. An unreserved recommendation for steak lovers and connoisseurs. We'll definitely be back!

We went to the restaurant today for our anniversary. We were warmly welcomed and had the feeling that we were being looked after. The food was first class. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would love to come back here. The prices are appropriate according to the quality of the food. We ate very well. We will definitely recommend this restaurant. If we could give more points, we would do it.

We let the waiter suggest which meat we should order (butcher's choice). There was no warning that this would be MUCH more expensive than choosing a steak from the menu. The side dishes were pretty mediocre and too expensive. All the guests were crammed together in the entrance area, making it hard to get to your seat and hearing every word from the next table. The back area was completely empty. It was too cold and drafty. The first and last time

We reserved 6 weeks in advance and only got a mini table for 2 people. Customers who arrived later and had not reserved were seated at tables of four. That wasn't so nice. The tartare was bland. Not hand-cut, egg-free, low umami but still expensive. The rib-eye steak was ordered medium rare and came rear. Too bad Quite a lot of fat. The red house wine wasn't convincing, so we took a bottle of CS from Chile. Conclusion: Service was good, food does not correspond to previous reviews or My Local Your Local. But the price is at a very high level. Sorry, but not like that.

The food is quite good. Unfortunately, the service was far from that standard. We waited forever for our order to be taken and at least 20 minutes for the bill. During that time, some of the staff just stood around. The sauces also arrived significantly later than the food. The restaurant is also very noisy. Perhaps book a table outside of peak hours. Addendum: Unfortunately, if you leave a negative review, you have to be prepared for an unprofessional call from the restaurant.

From the first minute, it was an extremely positive experience: the welcome, the drinks and food selection, the quality of service, and the payment. The atmosphere among the entire team (we had the luxury of seeing the kitchen team in action) was extremely positive, and the consistent focus was on the quality of the food and customer satisfaction. A clear recommendation, then. It's worth mentioning: We ate there on New Year's Eve. Professionals were at work.

We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. Our orders were taken quickly. We started with a few pieces of bread with a dip. We ordered soup and a portion of fries with Parmesan/Garlic cheese. And a Wiener Schnitzel with fries. Everything was prepared and served to us very quickly. I was very surprised to get a schnitzel for just under €30, which was tiny (about 7x15cm). A short time later, a waiter came with another piece. This time the price-performance ratio was ok. The fries were good. The meat in the schnitzel was top-quality. Unfortunately, the schnitzel was so thin that the breading completely covered up the taste of the meat. The soup was hearty and good.

The steak was far too raw, even though we ordered it medium. The fries were too salty. Poor value for money. We ordered a bread basket as an appetizer, which was simply taken away after two minutes because the food had already arrived, even though we hadn't even finished a single piece of bread. The service was also lacking. We were rushed through.

A culinary experience in a class of its own! I recently had the pleasure of dining at this steak restaurant and it was simply amazing! The quality of the food was outstanding - the steak was perfectly cooked, tender and full of flavor. The side dishes complemented the dish wonderfully and showed great creativity. Thanks to René and Florian for the work. The drinks menu also left nothing to be desired. The selection of wines and cocktails was impressive and the service was attentive and friendly. Every bite and every sip was a pleasure. Love goes out to Paulina and Markus I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for an unforgettable dinner. Real attention is paid to the details here, and the results speak for themselves!

That was amazing: I'm walking past with my little one, he looks in and sees fresh meatloaf on the counter. So in. But: it was Oktoberfest and buffet, so no individual sales. A very nice evening with a great meal. I was able to bridge the short wait for the food with a look into the open kitchen and a conversation with the chef. Thank you for that. The recommended - and also chosen - meat came to the table quickly and the degree of doneness was on point. Far ahead in terms of taste. The side dishes were very tasty and the recommended wine went perfectly with the dish. During the meal, wine was repeatedly poured as soon as a glass was (almost) empty. All in all a very successful evening.

This restaurant features locally sourced meat as well as some US cuts. The steak selection at Metzgers is excellent, with a wide range of cuts. Apart from the steaks available on the menu, the restaurant also offers a tasting version for larger groups where several bigger cuts are cooked to your liking and then cut for sharing. The appetizer menu is good as well, with some fish options and other standard fares. The wine selection is surprisingly limited for a restaurant with such a high quality of food. We lacked some bigger red wines to go with the delicious steaks. The service is excellent. Our waiter was witty and professional throughout, giving great advice on the food and sides. The ambience is great, very cozy inside and outside.

I was a guest today with my pregnant wife. The service was an 11/10 - I have rarely experienced anything comparable. Care was taken to ensure that everything was prepared for a pregnant woman. Relaxed interaction, nice conversations. I don't need to say much about the food. If you're looking for a meat experience like no other, you've come to the right place. The pulpo and the gazpacho were a culinary highlight. A farewell handshake rounded off the service. Thank you very much, we had one of the best date evenings in the past 6 years.

I don't know what has happened in the last few months that the attitude of the service employees has changed so negatively. In the AEZ, the colleague with the facial tattoo almost runs towards me at a sprint and shouts: "We're closed!" (It was only 5 p.m. and there were still 2x2 people sitting in the dining room). If it has to be closed sooner for special reasons, this can be communicated differently/FRIENDLY to new customers. Winterhude location: Denying two new guests a drink at 10:30pm on a Friday evening when you've already had the last round is really sobering. Especially since there were still over 14 guests on site, the kitchen was available online until 11 p.m. and the restaurant until 2 a.m.

Simply a brilliant shop! We were there with ten people and our waiter Andre completely convinced us. We enjoyed the entire range of dishes - from starters to entrees and main courses to dessert. The drinks also left nothing to be desired and the ambience was simply great. The pictures and videos clearly show how well we ate and how much fun we had. We spent about four hours in the restaurant and will be back soon.
