First of all, the owner of this place is Mr. Erhan from Gaziantep... the atmosphere he created, the service, the taste, and his communication are all excellent. Especially if you're from Gaziantep, you absolutely must come here... (The minced meat could be improved a little) But other than that, everything was amazing. YOU MUST TRY THE ANTEP LAHMACUN!

We had an exceptional dinner, the owner was very hospitable, the food was truly delicious, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

We were hoping for a nice family dinner, but it was a complete disappointment. The person taking our order didn't listen properly, so the order arrived incomplete. My pita bread arrived after everyone else had finished their meal, and it was also incorrectly prepared. Despite the mistakes being entirely their fault, they even charged me for the water when I returned and canceled the order. This business is completely lacking in customer satisfaction. I absolutely do not recommend them.

The food arrived 50 minutes late. Then, once the dishes arrived, they forgot the pide, so there was another 20-minute wait for a different pide than what was ordered. No apology or gesture of goodwill. I won't be back.

No matter how often I come here, it's always amazing! My Turkish heart is on fire! I've always loved filling my stomach here whenever I come! Adana, Tavuk Şiş, Lahmacun—I could eat it all! I came here based on a recommendation. There was already a queue at the entrance, but to my surprise, we were seated within 10 minutes. This was thanks to a very attentive and polite server who greeted the guests. The team is efficient and very attentive. Fresh bread was brought to us as soon as ours ran out. We were served salad as a starter, along with a small bottle of sauce. I had lamb liver and Adana kebab. Unfortunately, my liver was overcooked, and the Adana wasn't very spicy. These two minor issues, considering how busy it was, are really nitpicking, so I still went home very satisfied and full. I will definitely come back and try other dishes.

Not recommended at all! The prices are far too high... if only it tasted good... The meat had an unpleasant smell and wasn't cooked through. The Adana kebab was okay, but nothing special. The salad was a disaster, consisting almost entirely of iceberg lettuce (without dressing). I would have at least liked a dürüm ekmek with the Adana, or a small portion of meze in the middle (that's how I'm used to getting it in other restaurants)... I was very disappointed.

This is one of the few restaurants I will never go to again in my life. The taste is absolutely zero. The lahmacun (Turkish pizza) is definitely inedible; there's no meat in it, it's basically dough with tomato paste, thin as paper. I will never come back.

One of our favorite restaurants in the past. Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience last night. I ordered a mixed grill for one. However, the promised lamb chop was missing. I pointed this out, as I believe a dish shouldn't leave the kitchen incomplete. About 20 minutes later, I was served a single lamb chop on a small plate. However, I was charged €44.00 for this one plate. That was the last time our family will eat there together. I can only urge everyone to be very careful about where they eat. There are families who can only rarely afford to eat out – and no one should be confronted with exorbitant bills due to such outrageous pricing practices. The owner should take immediate action. Perhaps it won't be noticed immediately with just one or two guests, but in the long run, the restaurant's reputation will suffer considerably.

We waited 45 minutes for our food. Family of four, including drinks, received a bill of €100. I was shocked that it had become so expensive. Two stars deducted for the exorbitant prices.

We came from Switzerland, and apparently card payments weren't possible. We didn't have Euros on us, so they took the cash. The already expensive bill ended up being 10 Euros more expensive.

So let's start with the most important point: the food. We ordered a mixed platter for two (Vali). Sorry, except for the Adana kebab, everything was really bad. The lamb chops were seasoned with paprika, which is a no-go. The köfte were tasteless and hard. The ciger was again only seasoned with paprika and was very bad. The doner kebab that was on the platter was from a minced meat spit and tasted like a ready-made doner kebab from the supermarket. The open ayran was very good. The mixed salad as a starter was also very good. The bread was nothing special. The service was good. The atmosphere was also good. I think the price is perfectly normal, but of course, the food should taste good. So, on our next visit to Mannheim, we won't be going there again. There are definitely better restaurants nearby.

We visited Türk Sofrasi Ocakbasi at the market square in Mannheim and were very satisfied overall. I would particularly like to highlight the excellent service and the well-thought-out customer service system – you can tell that structure and experience are behind it. The food was delicious, especially the chicken dishes, which are highly recommended. The ambiance is pleasant and warm, although personally, I found there was a bit too much decoration. However, that's purely a matter of taste – others might find it very appealing. It didn't bother me; there was simply a lot. A big compliment goes to the staff: despite the large number of guests, they maintained a clear overview and remained consistently friendly and attentive even under pressure. All in all, a very successful visit.

After being assigned an extremely cramped table for two, we deliberately moved to a larger, empty table after pointing out the potential draft. When a table next to us became free during the ordering process, we moved there after receiving a nod of confirmation from another waiter. The head waiter immediately approached us and confronted us loudly and aggressively in front of all the other guests. His remarks were condescending, patronizing, and delivered in a tone that showed absolutely no respect. Instead of a reasonable explanation, we were publicly humiliated and treated as if we had done something outrageous. When I calmly pointed out that this could have been communicated respectfully and that we would have been happy to return to our original table upon request, the situation escalated completely: Our order was canceled without comment, and we were loudly escorted out of the restaurant in front of everyone. I have been a restaurateur for over 15 years with locations throughout Germany. Such behavior would result in at least a written warning for the staff in my establishments. A full house does not justify disrespectful abuse of power or the public humiliation of guests. This behavior is unacceptable and I will publicize it through other channels as well.

Germans are welcome there, but locals are not, hence this review. I will not be returning; there are now other restaurants in Mannheim that offer better value for money!

My visit to Ocakbasi Mannheim was unfortunately not a pleasant experience. The food itself was okay, but the overall atmosphere was simply off. I unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a comfortable and relaxed dining experience.

We bought Adana wraps from there. 4 durums were not cooked at all. I would like to write a good review but unfortunately, you need to be careful. One of the meat wraps that were not cooked at all is 15 Euros, which is too much.

The place is a complete disappointment, the prices are very high, the service is slow and the service staff lacks respect, we ordered a mixed grill, the liver for 3 people was overcooked and tough and the shish kebab was made of beef and had no sauce, they were also tough, we couldn't eat it, the rice was awful, it was a complete disappointment, the toilets are not allowed out of fear and they only accept cash to pay these crazy bills...

The food was okay – mediocre, but you can't really go wrong with Turkish food. The service was quick at first, but became somewhat unfriendly when I mentioned I couldn't pay in cash. A major problem is the payment options: they only accept cash. Only after asking several times did I get a makeshift solution to pay via PayPal – otherwise, I would have had to go to the bank. Very inconvenient. Overall, an average experience. The payment methods and the friendliness of the service definitely need improvement.

The restaurant has an authentic Turkish atmosphere, the service is friendly, and the portions are generous. We're from Strasbourg, and I was looking for a restaurant for dinner, and frankly, we weren't disappointed! There was a queue outside the restaurant (10-15 minutes), but in the end, we had a very, very good meal! The mezze and grilled meats were excellent! We'll gladly return on our next trip to Mannheim 😍

We were here by chance and didn't regret a single minute. We had fantastic food and super friendly service. A delicious amuse-bouche from the kitchen to start. The bread and spread were homemade. Salad and pide were absolutely fair priced. Both the lamb and chicken skewers had the same marinade. You could only tell them apart by the texture of the meat. To charge 41 euros for such a poorly seasoned, identical platter with cheap fries is outrageous. We had apple juice that came from a small bottle, the kind you usually get in a hospital, and the ayran was so watery it looked like it had been diluted with water. There were no sauces, just some spicy tomato and bell pepper puree on the plate as a starter. You can definitely eat much better in Frankfurt. What a shame, never again. I really expected more from Mannheim.

The salad used iceberg lettuce—that just doesn't suit a Turkish grilled dish. I didn't like the doner kebab at all, but the kofte was okay. I also didn't like the open ayran. Overall, the food was disappointing, and there was no tea for the weekend 😆😆😆

I visited this restaurant twice during a short vacation and, together with a friend, tried a total of five different dishes. Each one was delicious, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. I particularly like the doner kebab and the accompanying meat – simply fantastic – as well as the traditional Turkish lahmacun, which was also excellent. The salads, side dishes, and desserts were also fresh and delicious. The portion sizes are absolutely reasonable, the prices fair and in keeping with the restaurant's quality. The consistently friendly and helpful service made the visit even more enjoyable. All in all, I would almost say it's one of the best Turkish restaurants I've ever eaten at. A definite recommendation – you can't go wrong here!

The paste, ayran, and salad were delicious. The roast lamb had so much cumin that it smelled so bad when the plate was placed on the table. Of course, I couldn't eat it; the meat was so bad. We ordered pita bread with bird's-eye sauce and cheese. They even put a garlic clove in it, oh my goodness. I've never tasted anything like it in my life. It was like they made trotter soup, but the vinegar was missing. The meat was definitely bad; they've masked the flavor of everything with meat. They serve döner with ground meat, and tomato paste in jars.

And the raki... let's just say I staggered out with a smile and a slight dizziness (but happy!). One point I'd like to mention is the price: In outdated images on Google, the price for the Adana kebab is listed as €17, but the plate currently costs €21. That's a noticeable increase and a bit pricey for the portion size. Nevertheless, I recommend a visit because the food is delicious and the service is very good.

I've never experienced anything like that, even though you can simply swap it for rice. The meat from Tavik Sis was very soft, not even crispy. So, the bottom line: it used to be very good, but not anymore. Today, it's not about quality, but quantity.

Great food, very high-quality meat. I'm from Mannheim and we ate here with our friends. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious. The paprika sauce (paste) was homemade and absolutely delicious with the fresh bread. My lamb skewers were tender and delicious with the bulgur. I'm Greek and love Mediterranean food. All in all, a great restaurant that I highly recommend. I'll be back with my wife, as we have so many times before.

Four of us went to this restaurant today. I ordered a Ciger Sis and the others each ordered a Beyti. We were very disappointed with both dishes. The Beyti had seasoned yogurt in the middle, but this one was just a regular salad. The red sauce should actually be a sauce, not red water or something like that. The Ciger Sis came with bulgur and no lavash, and it was cut way too large. It was completely unacceptable. The ambiance was way too dark... it felt like the same music was playing ten times. The restaurant was way too hot and loud. We paid €98 for four dishes, including Ayran. Conclusion: I wouldn't bother with it again.
