Lale Restaurant Mannheim in Mannheim

A really great restaurant with polite and attentive staff. The dishes were very tasty. Two salads, bread and a spread were served free of charge with the meal. We paid 40 euros for pide, soup, a grill plate, ayran and coke. The dishes were prepared very quickly. After dinner it started to rain heavily and a restaurant employee called us a taxi - which was a very nice gesture. Service and food were at the highest level!

There were no empty people I don't understand why

Absolutely recommended! We went to the breakfast buffet at Lale in Mannheim today and were absolutely thrilled! The selection was huge - from fresh rolls, hearty warm dishes, salads to delicious desserts, there was really something for every taste. Everything was fresh, lovingly prepared and really tasty! The staff was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was pleasant and inviting. You can tell that people work here with heart. We'll definitely be back!!

We went there for iftar, it was good but not incredible either. The servers are very welcoming.

Very good... We booked the iftar table for 6 people 14 days in advance, and my friends and I did not experience a single problem. Our meals arrived at the same time and they took care of us with care. Dessert, tea etc. The offerings and services were very good. And I interpret this based on my experiences in famous restaurants in TR, USA and UK Australia. From the soups to the pita bread they made themselves, it was all good. The owner is honest and said that Ali Nazik's eggplant is canned, but in many places they want to claim that we make it ourselves, even though it is like that. As a result, it is my first choice when going to restaurants in Mannheim.

Unfortunately, despite having made a reservation, we were moved to the adjacent upper floor. After a stressful 45 minutes my food arrived and after another 15 minutes my wife's food arrived. Both dishes were cold. Unfortunately Adana is still raw (not medium but raw). Not nearly as good as the surrounding restaurants. The only thing that worked smoothly was the card payment. The toilets can only be accessed via the backyard balcony. We don't come here anymore.

Drinks weren't so cola, it tasted like syrupy cola, food wasn't good either, chicken, little veal, lamb, etc... with the mix grill plate.. Food gets a rating of 5 bad Drinks grade 6 bad Salad 4 is still possible and can be eaten Service 3 were nice, correct but a bit slow... Conclusion. Only in an emergency...

A pure disappointment, close to a rip-off! We are often in the area to eat in the surrounding typical Turkish restaurants and therefore have a good comparison. However, since there were long queues for a table everywhere on Saturday evening between 7 and 8 p.m., which was the shortest at Lale, we decided on Lale. We couldn't shake the impression that this was exactly what was being exploited. Prices are extremely high for the area. According to expectations. Unfortunately, these were not fulfilled. When it came to drinks, we were served the large version without asking, without asking whether it was “big or small”. We waited an extremely long time for the Esseb. At the First bite I had a sandy, dirty feeling in my mouth. It was a piece of charcoal. We had lamb skewer once and chicken skewer once. The plates of the main courses were miserably filled and carelessly presented. My actual 2 skewers were only about 1.3 skewers and the second skewer, almost half of it, was definitely not chicken, but something else. And that for 18€. I'm willing to pay that much for a chicken dish, but only if the quality is right. The price-performance ratio here is definitely not right!!!! Especially since it is more of a fast-food restaurant and the atmosphere has nothing to do with “eating out in a relaxed atmosphere”. This must be reflected in the price, which it definitely isn't. You weren't asked if everything was ok, which reinforces the impression that it was a deliberate rip-off.

Forced to be there. Unfortunately, my local restaurant had an extremely high volume, so I wanted to give the Lale Restaurant a chance. Spontaneously went on a Saturday at 6 p.m. and immediately got a table without waiting. The atmosphere is very loud and restless. It felt like you were waiting at a train station, people were constantly walking past you and hanging on to the tables. The waiter was friendly and helpful. Value for money is lacking, small portions, which were unfortunately served cold. The taste was okay, but with an Iskender plate costing just under €20 you can expect it to arrive warm and contain more than 150g of meat instead of 80% yoghurt.

We were there for breakfast today. The smell in the restaurant was very unpleasant and the toilet was also not recommended...which overall made us "sick". It is definitely not recommended

A little overcrowded and expensive

We have been there many times over the last few years. We didn't like it the time before last. Yesterday, when we were back in the area, we first wanted to visit another restaurant on the market square. But people were lining up at the entrances there. Since we didn't want to wait, we gave Lale another chance. Sorry, but it was the wrong decision and really bad for us. Very very disappointing. We ordered an iskender and two donner plates. The Iskender was anything but an Iskender. The two kebab plates!??? Fear… No salad. Just two slices of tomatoes. We have a small dog. But your Cezar looks or looked better so far. It's very sad that you get ripped off for your own money. We had to pay €55. It wasn't worth it! Really sad! And never again! Poor Germany!

I ordered a kebab plate and the first thing that struck me negatively was the meat. It was undercooked, poorly seasoned, had a rubbery consistency and smelled bad. In addition, the meat had no color and was not appetizing. The only good thing was the pide, I couldn't complain about that.

It doesn't matter what language you use to try to get the staff's attention, you are a customer and will of course be ignored. With an impressive listlessness, the waiters stroll back and forth, serving, clearing away and refraining from asking the obligatory question “can there be anything else?” The waiter cleared away and vanished into thin air. You could also have cheated the bill - no one would have noticed. The food has deteriorated and become very greasy. Standard 0815 Mannheim restaurant that is not worth it.

Service is very bad, conflict people don't know how to talk to customers at all

The appetizers are beautiful from the outside, like baby food, but they are really disappointing. The salad is not good at all, we were not satisfied at all. I wish it was as it looks from the outside.

We were recently at the Lale Restaurant in Mannheim and were looking forward to a nice breakfast. The breakfast was actually good – fresh, tasty and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, the disappointment was even greater for the Lahmacuns and Pide. The taste of the lahmacuns was far from what we expected - bland, dry and obviously not freshly made. The lahmacun meat had a strange aftertaste that immediately raised doubts about its quality. Unfortunately, it wasn't just about the taste: Shortly after eating we had severe stomach pains that stayed with us for the rest of the day. It is unacceptable that so little care is shown when preparing food. There can be no compromises when it comes to freshness and quality, especially when it comes to meat. A good breakfast cannot cover up the fact that the rest of the food was not edible. It's a shame, we had hoped for more. For us, it was definitely the last time we will order lahmacun or meat dishes there.

The chicken wings were simply fantastic! They were perfectly cooked and had great taste. The spices were excellent and the portion was very generous. The staff was friendly and service was quick. I'll definitely be back!

Were there for the breakfast buffet. Restaurant very well attended. Large selection of savory dishes (salads, rolls/simit, dips, eggs, cheese) and a few sweet dishes. All very tasty. The process is uncomplicated, pay, take the table stand with you and start feasting.

They wrote on the door that the huge open buffet breakfast costs 14.50€. But you have to pay 16€ inside. If you take it to court, you will win. Also, the woman who takes care of the customer is very aggressive.

Food is no longer what it used to be

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE SCANDAL AND AN UNRESPONSIBLE RISK TO VISITORS' HEALTH. AS IF THAT WASN'T BAD ENOUGH, TAKEN PINEAPPLE WAS ALSO SERVED, OBVIOUSLY FROM A CAN. THE PINEAPPLE WAS MOLDY, WHICH WAS CLEARLY RECOGNIZED BY THE TASTE AND SMELL. IN ADDITION, WE WERE OFFERED A “FRESHLY PRESSED ORANGE JUICE” WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE A CHEAP LIDL JUICE THAT WAS SIMPLY REFILLED IN FRONT OF OUR EYES. I actually always really enjoyed eating here. The ambience is great, the food is delicious and the service is very friendly. However, on our last visit we saw a mouse walking in the dining area. Even though we were assured that this sort of thing was normal in Mannheim because of the doors that opened, we didn't find it all that great. Our food had already been eaten, but the mouse had a bitter aftertaste. So we won't be coming here in the future.

If you don't want gastrointestinal problems you should avoid this restaurant. Manti were served despite the fact that they were spoiled. Minced meat smelled extremely. Tomato sauce was ice cold. After complaining, the waiter confirmed that they smelled. Our minced meat pide was extremely fatty and oily. You should urgently work on the service and food quality here!

We ordered two main courses and two small drinks (0.2 l) each. However, when paying, the waiter charged 0.4 liters, even though we had clearly ordered the smaller size. Unfortunately we only noticed the error after leaving the restaurant. I find it very annoying and disappointing that something like this happens. Absolut schlechter Service. Sehr gierige Inhaber und Servicekräfte die ihre schlechte Arbeit die Kunden bezahlen lassen. Falsches essen serviert bekommen und dann mussten wir es auch bezahlen weil wir es ja wissen müssten das es nicht dazugehört. Es handelt sich um ein Nebengericht das bei jedem Hauptgericht dabei Ein könnte. Wir dachten das gibt es kostenlos dazu und wurden am ende gedrängt es zahlen. Absolut Kundenunfreundlich. Die machen den Fehler aber der Kunde büßt. Nie wieder. Absolut keine Empfehlung.

Service was attentive and friendly. I've had different experiences there before. But what's wrong with the food? Big prices, small portions. The taste is not matched, the sauces taste industrial. Even an empty box to take away leftovers is priced at 50 cents😂 I'm not surprised that it's always empty there, while elsewhere you have to wait 30 minutes to get in.

I ordered kelle trotter soup and cubed pita, but they made me feel as if I had ordered it in Turkey, not Germany. Thank God, as if the price of meat was 300€ per kilo. There was almost no meat in either the kelle trotter soup or the cubed pita. If I placed the same order in Türkiye, they would probably put more meat in it. The only thing I was satisfied with was the respect and service of the employees.

I wouldn't comment at all, but people persistently asked for reviews. The food is way too expensive for what is on offer. The Cola does not contain any carbon dioxide. The salad is cheap iceberg lettuce without dressing. The food has no spice, no spiciness. The meat only tastes like smoke. The old fat fries. Once and never again.

Typical “Turkish” restaurant located right on the market square. The service (Nimet) was super friendly. We had the lunch buffet for €14.50. Very tasty. First there was a lentil soup and a yogurt soup. Lots of vegetables, tomatoes, eggplant and zucchini, spinach. As a side dish there was rice and bulgur and cold fries and delicious noodles. But the fries at the buffet are never warm. The salad included carrots, cucumbers and farmer's lettuce. And cake for dessert. There is no alcohol. At the end there was tea on the house. The only disadvantage is that I overeat again. But if it tastes good, it doesn’t matter 😂

Service is not good at all and breakfast is always the same.

Breakfast prices etc. are all good, but it shouldn't be too difficult to put 1.5 liters of water on each table. It doesn't make sense to go back to the cash register and pay €2.40 for a bottle of water. What is the price of 1.5 liters of water? It will cost more if you drink two extra glasses of orange juice because there is no water. If I was a business, I would put 1.5 liters of water on each table.

Breakfast buffet Have been there several times. This Sunday 2024 it was pleasantly empty after 9 a.m. Same time last year already full. You can notice the increased prices. Here too it was quite expensive at €16 per person. But overall good. What I have to complain about is that the dishes should be labeled. The content and ingredients are a real enrichment.

Has separate prayer rooms/masjid for men and women in the basement with extra ablution facilities. The side dishes became fewer over time, but the meat actually always tasted good. You can't go wrong with your selection.
