The schnitzel was perfect, and so was everything else. Prices were reasonable.

The dishes are very tasty. The staff is very well trained, attentive to guests' needs, and very friendly.

We feel very comfortable every time we visit Munich, the food is always good and fresh, and the service is always top-notch.

We ordered three dishes: Schnitzel, goulash, and pork fillet. The schnitzel was very dry, the dumplings were very mushy (they had probably been in the boiling water for hours), and there was a burnt-out match in the pork fillet sauce. Never again!

Great, authentic Munich restaurant, wonderful beer garden, delicious Bavarian food, but also a large vegetarian selection, super friendly service. From the outside, you wouldn't expect this wonderful hospitality in every respect.

Well, if you want to pay almost €26 for a breaded turkey schnitzel, or €17.80 or €18.90 for a roast pork or a tarte flambée, fine! The other food prices are also exorbitant for this area! So, if you want that, go for it! For my family (2 adults, 2 children) with one drink each, the bill came to €126!

Today was our first visit to the Truderinger Waldwirtschaft, and it certainly won't be our last. A wonderful atmosphere with a great blend of tradition and modernity. They put a lot of heart and soul into the place, and we're happy that you can see it in everything from the food to the service.

I celebrated my 30th birthday on August 9th with 35 guests at the Waldwirtschaft Trudering. Dear Susie took care of all the planning beforehand with perfection and patience, making everything I wanted possible. On the day itself, the entire Waldwirtschaft team executed everything perfectly. The food was excellent, arrived quickly, and was served to everyone at the same time. The venue is fantastic and very well-maintained, and the service left nothing to be desired. We were perfectly looked after from start to finish. At this point, all I can do is thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for making my birthday an unforgettable event, thank you for your patience and openness. You made it possible for me to celebrate my birthday the way I wanted. For all future birthday children... If you want to celebrate, celebrate at the Waldwirtschaft.

We traveled from beautiful Hesse and thought, "Come on, let's treat ourselves to something Bavarian!" – and what can we say? It was a true culinary delight! 🥨🍺 The waiter – a picture-perfect example! Friendly, hearty, and with more charm than a freshly baked Obazda (traditional Bavarian sausage). This guy is a real gem: quick, attentive, and so warm-hearted that you almost think he's related to the person sitting at the table. Even with our Hessian snot, he remained confident and served us with a wink, as if we were regulars. The food: hearty, honest, and simply delicious. Duck, dumplings, a gravy just like grandma used to make, and red cabbage, which even we northern Hesse residents appreciate being Bavarian. The beer? Cold, drinkable – in Hessian terms: It runs like clockwork! Conclusion: If you want to experience true Bavarian charm, honest food, and heartfelt service, this is the place for you. The food was disappointing overall. For the price, I expected significantly more flavor and better cuisine. The meatballs were extremely salty, while the potatoes were barely seasoned – and practically swimming in grease. The main course came in an extremely greasy and unappealing cream sauce. To make matters worse, there were ants everywhere on and around the tables. Given the good reviews and the high prices, I expected much more. Unfortunately, the visit was a complete disappointment.

The beer garden is actually very nice, so it's a real shame that the restaurant seems to have been so run down. The schnitzel was very small and so light that it wasn't even cooked through in places. The potato pancakes were clearly frozen. The food quality was worse than at a gas station. The playground is completely broken and unkempt (smells bad and there's trash on the ground). I can't understand the good reviews.

The Waldwirtschaft in Trudering boasts an idyllic beer garden, a perfect place to linger, especially on warm days. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The food is consistently delicious—the schnitzel and tarte flambée are particularly tasty. However, the quality comes at a price: At €25 for a schnitzel and €17–19 for a tarte flambée, the prices are on the higher end, even for Munich. Those willing to dig a little deeper into their pockets will be rewarded with a delightful beer garden experience.

Unfortunately, there was absolutely nothing homemade about my dish. The dumplings, sauce, and duck were all delivered pre-cooked and simply warmed up. It was really bad. The service and atmosphere were excellent. The price is okay.

Our first impression of this restaurant was very positive. A member of staff immediately suggested a table for us, and the ambiance—whether we intended it or not—was so typically Bavarian. The waiter was a really cool guy, and it certainly helped a lot if we agreed. The food we ordered was not only excellent but also absolutely sufficient. The prices were correspondingly reasonable. I used to enjoy eating here with my family, but I've been avoiding this place for a while now because the prices have become too high. This is better in other beer gardens.

The food was simply heavenly – the portion was large and plentiful. The delivery person was extremely friendly. Unfortunately the pumpkin soup and fries were missing, but these were delivered immediately. As compensation, we were lovingly served apple fritters and a huge portion of ice cream and soup. It was my first time but I will definitely order again. Thank you for the exceptionally good customer service – customer satisfaction is really important here! Ordered again today: An excellent restaurant! As always, the food tasted perfect, and the delivery was lightning fast and extremely friendly - even from the boss herself, which really impressed me. A different kind of experience... Exactly, happened on March 21st, 2025. You want to enjoy a salad for lunch, with chicken strips. Accompaniment eats another daily dish offered. Salad is served, you eat... "recognize" an olive, laugh and say "it looks a bit strange" - until you realize that the "olive" is alive, has feelers, and is a SNAIL. Unbelievable. Salad was not charged, the other dish was. If this were MY restaurant, I would not only have apologized countless times and picked up the entire bill, but I would have sought some form of redress that might have provided some compensation for this experience. (because the panic still remains as to whether there was another "little animal" in there that you might have eaten with you) I've already experienced a lot - but that's a number in itself, in a restaurant (which doesn't exactly have low prices either) !

We were welcomed in a TOTALLY friendly manner, special requests were fulfilled free of charge, prices were affordable, I didn't know what was suitable for a small hunger - nothing was talked into me, I was even advised to do something relatively cheap. We like to come back again and again.

Ich habe mir ein Wildgulasch bestellt, aber bekommen habe ich leider eine trockene Ansammlung von Fleisch (ob es Wild war, kann ich nicht sagen) geschmeckt hat es nicht nach Wild. Keine oder kaum Soße, Butterspätzle hart und kalt. Alles in allem eine mehr als enttäuschendes Essen zu einem überteuerten Preis. Ich komme sicher nicht noch einmal, am Tag danach war mir immer noch nicht gut im Magen.

This place was so authentic! It was 5 of us and we had schnitzel, salmon, soups and cheese spätzle! Prices were super reasonable, service was accommodating as we had some people with allergies in our party! Would highly recommend to visit when you are in Munich and rather have the neighborhood feeling away from tourists!
