Very good food with very good service.

The food (roast pork) was nothing special. The fried potatoes weren't tasty at all. The "highlight" was the service. Despite the almost empty outdoor area, we had to wait almost 10 minutes before anyone even came. When we asked for a high chair, we were told to get one ourselves from inside. Luckily, there are other good Bavarian restaurants in Haidhausen.

By far the best traditional restaurant I've eaten at in Munich so far. Friendly service and a great selection of dishes, all freshly prepared with love. If I'm back in Munich, I'll definitely eat there again.

Food was the best we had in the 12 Days we spent across Bavaria. Absolutely delicious and worth a visit.

For me, these were always the best Kässpatzen in Munich, as they used to be made with a lot of flavorful cheese. Recently, unfortunately, they've become very bland, with little and tasteless cheese. What a shame.

I always have muted expectations regarding the quality of the food at brewery restaurants. But here: fantastic! The spinach dumplings were very tasty and garnished with fresh hard cheese, and the Leberkäse (meatloaf) was served with homemade potato salad and beautifully garnished. The service was quick and friendly despite the packed house. The noise level in the lovely dining room was naturally high, but that's to be expected. I'd happily go back.

We were there for lunch. A delicious salad with turkey strips, spring rolls, and dip for €10.90 was part of the lunch menu. Burgers, currywurst, and schnitzel, each with fries, also for €10.90. Super friendly service! We'll be back! :)

Loved this place. The service was impeccable, food was delicious. Our waiter basically made all the recommendations of beer, food and dessert. It was all incredible and mind blowing. Very home cooked and neighborhood vibes. Next to a nice park too!

And all the smells from the kitchen come directly into the dining room. At first, it smells like delicious food (it almost makes your eyes sting), and at the end, when they clean, you can smell every cleaning product. If that's fixed, it'll get five stars.

A typical, comfortable place. Typical dishes, generous portions! On such a hot evening, like the one we visited, it would have been more comfortable if the air conditioning had been turned on inside...

Bavarian brewery located in a lively neighborhood. The liveliness is typical of German breweries. The atmosphere is great! The service is a bit slow due to the large number of customers, and the food is average.

A genuine Munich inn with good Augustiner beer on tap and solid Bavarian cuisine. Excellent pork knuckle, friendly service. Sometimes crowded and long waits, but the atmosphere is great. Good value for money.

We liked the ambiance, the beer too, and the food quality varied. The schnitzel was good, the roast rather bland, and the dumplings, in particular, tasted reheated.

Probably the best food I’ve had during my week in Austria/Germany. The currywurst is a must have.

The food tastes good, the portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the servers are friendly and efficient. What bothered us were the bench seats, which were cramped and difficult to sit down in, and the fact that it was very loud, making it difficult to have a conversation.

A few years ago, we frequented the Haidhauser Augustiner, mostly only on weekends, but now we're both retired and enjoy the lunch menu outside on weekdays when the weather's nice. We also feel comfortable inside. We're thrilled with the price, quality, and quantity of the food, and the price of the beer (Augustiner) as well.

The Augustiner in Haidhausen is highly recommended. The food is very good quality and they're also flexible when it comes to special requests. Not to mention the good beer. And the service is very pleasant, friendly, and competent. We'll be happy to come back.

Wir waren vor ein paar Jahren öfter im Haidhauser Augustiner meist nur am Wochenende, aber nun sind wir Beide in Rente und genießen die Mittagskarte werktags. Wir sind begeistert von der Auswahl, der Qualität und der Quantität des Essens. Bei schönem Wetter draußen und auch drinnen fühlen wir uns wohl. Die Mittagspreise sind sehr akzeptabel und der Bierpreis (Augustiner) sowieso.

We went to the Haidhauser Augustiner as a family and had a truly lovely evening. The food was delicious, the portions generous, and typically Bavarian – just as you'd expect. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. But what really made the evening special was our waitress, Keti. She was incredibly funny, attentive, and warm – simply perfect. You could tell she loves her job. Thanks to her, we felt truly at home, and she truly made our evening special. We were absolutely thrilled and will definitely come back!

A lovely, rustic restaurant with good German cuisine at very fair prices! The waitress, Murti, did a great job and made our stay very pleasant. A great place to go in Munich or Haidhausen. We'd love to go again!

This afternoon, we stopped by the Haidhauser Augustiner for dinner. We received a warm welcome. Our beer was ice-cold. The Käsespätzle and Wiener Schnitzel were very, very good. We'll definitely be back.

Great place, a real surprise, I found it by accident and was delighted. In a full restaurant without a reservation, the waiters found me a seat and did the impossible. It's really the service and the food that together create an excellent atmosphere at a high level. I'll be back soon.

Roast potatoes undercooked, cold, and unsalted. Salt and pepper available at only one of 10 tables. Beer poorly poured.

The older waitress was very strange. On our second visit, I asked for the bill and asked if I should go with her to the bar to get it. She replied in a very rude tone, "Wait, I don't have a printer here." It was just a regular question. On the third day, a male waiter served us. He was nice, but the same older waitress warned him, saying, "They're nice, but they don't leave a tip." When paying, she specifically looked at the other waiter's bill and commented, "They haven't left a tip in three days." We only returned there so many times because the food was so good; that old waitress ruined the whole atmosphere and our desire to return. I didn't realize I was in the USA, not Germany, where tipping is mandatory. Besides, she didn't deserve a penny for talking back like that. I don't know where these demanding people come from. What a failure, that woman. We were there on July 11, July 10, and July 9, and unfortunately, that older woman was on shift every day.

Nice restaurant, came on the recommendation of a friend. Two of the three waiters were very nice, mine unfortunately wasn't on the ball and rather bored. Beer was good, food rather poor. The knuckle actually tasted OK, as did the dumplings and salad. But what's the best thing about a knuckle if you're going to treat yourself? Of course, the crispy crust. Unfortunately, mine was soggy, tough, and inedible, and the sauce was lukewarm at best. The waiter didn't seem to care much when I paid. A shame.

Even without a reservation, you can get a table in the sun at lunchtime. Delicious food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Perhaps one or two more vegan dishes could be added to the menu.

You can sit inside or outside, including the beer garden. The food is delicious, there are many regulars, and the others receive friendly service too. Perfect!

We sat outside, nice quiet street, and ambience looked nice too. Food and service were good, if you are around Orleansplatz it's a good place to drop by. Reasonably priced too.

The location is nice, but it's quite cramped and noisy. Especially at the long, wide table, it's difficult to have a conversation with the person sitting opposite you because the noise level is so loud. The food is good, but we found it lacking in flavor. Vegetarian dishes like Käsespätzle and Gnocchi, in particular, aren't recommended. The service is friendly and quick. Plus point for families: There's a well-equipped changing area in the restroom.

Great restaurant, centrally located in the district. Extensive menu at fair prices. The staff is friendly and always attentive. There's outdoor seating, and the interior is a great, cozy, and well-maintained restaurant. We'll be back.

Rustic, classic Bavarian. Highly recommended, prices still very good 👍. A half-liter for €4.40 and a huge snack platter for €17.90 can feed two people. Thanks, greetings from the north.

Terrible service. After we were seated, no waiter came. Even after repeated requests, we were ignored. The tables next to us were served, oddly enough. In the 15 minutes we waited, we noticed that most of the plates were returned half-full. Absolutely not recommended. The service at the Italian restaurant next door is far better.

A truly Bavarian restaurant, just as you'd imagine. I really enjoy eating here. The schnitzel variations are amazing, as are the burgers! You can also order takeout, and the food is usually ready within 10 to 15 minutes. I give it 5 stars!

If you want to experience the real Munich, this is the right place for you. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and you immediately feel that this place is authentic. It is a piece of traditional Munich that makes you feel good. Of course there is the highlight: the delicious beer! It tastes great and fits the ambience perfectly. A very important tip: Since the store is so popular and often full, a reservation is strongly recommended so that you can be sure to get a seat. All in all, a must for anyone looking for Bavarian cosiness and good beer!

We go to lunch from the practice every now and then. The offer is always great and so is the price! The 45 minutes we always have are always enough! Service is always friendly!

A murderous roast pork for 10.90 for lunch. No wonder the shop is booming. A Haidhauser classic with the appropriate ambience and a friendly, light Munich flavor.

Completely underground fish, the white wine sauce mentioned was not one. Rather some industrial blunder with a pile of salt and lemon. The fish died in the pan a second time. Complained without any problems. Didn't seem to be a surprise to the waiter. Then get a cream mushroom. Also a tragedy, pudding-like consistency. You think to yourself: well at least only €10 for the bin. But then you have to pay €5 for a glass of water.

We had dinner with excellent typical Bavarian dishes. The place is clean and well kept. I recommend booking your table via email because it is also very popular with locals.

The cream mushrooms looked like millet porridge from a South American prison. Far too few staff and they were not only untrained, but also sometimes distant and invasive. Only the beer was fresh, ice cold and very tasty. A tourist trap for us, we expected MUCH more. It was really bad.

The onion roast was tough, the Jägerschnitzel was dry. The Bratenröstl worked like that, but I've eaten it better. Service was tried hard but in my opinion overwhelmed even though the restaurant wasn't full. The reserved table was entered for the wrong day. All in all, not a recommendation from me, two stars just because of the beer. As you can see from the response (after 2!!!!! years) from the economy, mercilessly overwhelmed....and thank you, no, I certainly won't come again.

We (2 people) ate in this restaurant yesterday. The food was great and the price was also reasonable, especially for the amount you get. I particularly wanted to put the waiter in the foreground: he was very, very nice, friendly and professional, which made us very happy. We'll come again!

A classic Munich inn, the Haidi, highly recommended, definitely make a reservation and is best visited with friends. Easy to get to, good food, a clear selection of dishes and an extensive range of drinks. Always friendly and attentive staff, clean place, comfortable, not too cramped spaces. All around there is a hearty Munich inn (restaurant).

Dear Haidhauser-Augustiner team, I went to the Haidhauser Augustiner for a birthday dinner today with my wife and two daughters and was thrilled. The food was excellent, I have rarely eaten such a good Viennese style schnitzel. The ladies were also very happy with their Viennese-style schnitzel and cream schnitzel. The waitresses were very accommodating, attentive and friendly, it couldn't be better. Thank you for two lovely hours with you on my birthday! It's a shame that I no longer live in Munich, I would then come by more often. VG
