2019: Unfortunately we were disappointed with the food today. It was okay but not tasty at all. And of course the prices no longer really match that. A few weeks ago for lunch it was good, except for the waitress who kept ignoring us. Today the service was good. Overall it's sad because it's not exactly cheap. That's why you simply expect more from service and cuisine Maybe the landlady should come to the table every now and then. Especially when you could only say negative things to the waiter about a side dish Will try it again at some point and otherwise there are plenty of other restaurants in the area. It's a shame that the ambience is good and the cleanliness is good. January 2020: Waitress was initially super nice and came often, unfortunately this was no longer the case after the main course and we sometimes had to wait a long time before we even saw her again. Food again just average. Price performance only worth 3 stars. January 2025: I joined a group of friends. Unfortunately I could only have a drink because the waitress simply didn't come to the table. It took almost 40 minutes, despite drawing my attention. I would have liked to eat something, but no one came. I didn't leave a tip when paying. The ambience is still nice, but far too loud for me personally. Almost like being in a train station hall. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the current menu because I haven't received it. Price for the wine spritzer was very expensive.

Good restaurant to try German food.

Quaint Bavarian restaurant, former “Weissbräu” beautifully renovated!

Went here for dinner on Boxing Day. It was very busy but the service was very friendly and didn't seem stressed. There was a smaller selection of food, which is fine for a holiday. Unfortunately, 80% of the dishes had an alcohol sauce, which is rather difficult when you are breastfeeding and therefore the selection is very small. The food was very good and the portions were sufficient. There was an extra children's menu for the children 👍 Price-performance: rather more expensive. Probably due to the location in Munich 😉

Max was a good waiter and very personable. Everything is very clean and the food is good.

The service from Gentleman Max (relatively young) was extremely good. He gives you very good advice and has a wonderful way of making you laugh. We hope he gets a raise soon He's the burner

Onion roast was absolutely amazing. I can only advise cooking yourself. The store is owned by Augustiner. This meal was honestly I have no words for it. Never again!!!

Food is always a matter of taste. I didn't like my food that much, so I only gave it 3 stars. Service and ambience were great. Full stars for that.

A type of restaurant that has become rather rare in the Munich area. Something quaint and authentic. Reservations make sense. We (4 people) just managed to find a free table on a Thursday. Our 4x meals were good, the waiter was quick and friendly. Absolutely recommended.

I can't remember giving less than 3-star reviews but i'd give this a zero if I could. Horrible, rude service and overrated, badly seasoned food. Spend your money elsewhere.

Great service, atmosphere, pleasant and delicious dishes

Just wanted a quick dinner. We were so impressed by the service and the food that we made a reservation for the next evening.

Sitting in the beer garden in the sunshine in November Tasty food and more service might be great. But food came at the same time, and when the service staff was there, they were there 100 percent.

I always enjoy coming here. Food is delicious and tastes good. The beer was very tasty. The staff sometimes a bit abrupt.

Ein echtes Wirtshaus, so wie es sein soll. Den tollen Biergarten könnten wir nicht genießen, dafür aber gutes Bier und lecker Essen.

A roast pork that melts in your mouth, a rind that is nice and crispy, a very tasty dumpling and all in a rustic atmosphere with friendly service. What more could you want…?

Food OK, not enough wait staff.

Nos alojamos en Hadern inesperadamente después de que un miembro de la familia enfermó de vacaciones. Hemos comido en Hadener Augustiner dos veces y nos encanta. La comida es deliciosa, el comedor es acogedor y el servicio es encantador. Es un lugar maravilloso para estar cuando se está perdiendo la comodidad del hogar y quiere estar en un lugar acogedor con deliciosa comida. Tuvimos: - el zwiebelrostbraten que era tierno, perfectamente cocinado, lleno de sabor y muy abundante - el schnitzel Wiener que era una porción enorme: bueno para compartir! De nuevo, la carne estaba muy tierna y las patatas asadas estaban muy sabrosas - el goulash especiado especial: tan cálido y delicioso! Recomendaría encarecidamente el Haderner Augustiner, y espero volver de nuevo antes de salir!

Always great, nice service, 5 stars and more, food beautifully prepared but unfortunately a bit too expensive for the quite small portions. Update: now it's getting more and more bold..was there a week ago and salad with goat's cheese is now only served with simple goat's cream cheese in the form of small shaped balls) not like before and actually usual everywhere else, namely that a nice piece of ZK is on top, which, depending on the case, is served baked or flambéed with a nice crust. And then collect €16 for it!!! Absolute impudence!!! Now that's enough!!! Never again!!!

Not just a Bavarian economy. Very warm service, delicious food with large portions and dessert with taste.

Wonderful meeting in a stylish Bavarian atmosphere with very attentive and friendly staff. The food was excellent (veal schnitzel). The apple cakes had a cinnamon-tasting coating. A very successful and cozy evening.

It was my first experience in a traditional Munich pub but it was a very good one. The atmosphere there on a warm Friday evening was amazing, the food likewise. And of course the beer as well. Another good thing is that it's located in a quiet part of Munich so you are surrounded only by local people which makes the experience even better.

Traditional Bavarian restaurant with a clear menu. This is intended as a compliment. There is also a day ticket, which I unfortunately saw too late. Excellent beer: Augustiner Edelstoff. Visited under 2G conditions including CovPassApp and verification of ID card. You feel relatively safe there! After Covid visit: Munich schnitzel: good and too much (doggyback).

Just as one would like and imagine a “clocky” economy in Munich! Ambience top rustic! Absolute praise to the team! Friendly helpful. Price performance Absolutely “very satisfied” Immediate parking is a bit difficult, but no problem in the surrounding area! Very nice beer garden! Clean and well maintained. Dining 6 out of 5 stars. The kitchen is really awesome. Team also 6 out of 5 stars, you rarely find them anymore.... Totally recommended for everyone!

Very nice beer garden, quick, friendly and attentive staff. The price is also absolutely OK.

The Haderner Augustiner is a Bavarian restaurant. In the garden you can sit under old chestnut trees, and there is a playground for small children that is easily visible. Theater performances take place on the first floor. There is a disabled toilet on the ground floor. There are bar tables inside and outside for people who just want to have a drink. The innkeepers and staff are very hospitable and you are always warmly welcomed. The food is good, you can make special requests. There are also takeaway meals available.

Good home cooking We had fun service. Funny and nice. The food was very good from all. A note from my side. The Kreiner with potato salad are absolutely delicious. However, if you have problems with sharpness, you shouldn't order it. I found them excellent

Delicious food, extremely fast and attentive service really impressed us during our visit. Unfortunately it was raining and we couldn't go into the great beer garden - but the atmosphere inside was just as nice.

We were there for dinner and felt very comfortable. The service was very friendly, the food was plentiful and delicious. Prices completely okay. Also easy to reach by public transport. We recommend it! 😊

We were there today, in the "in-between time", i.e. at 5:30 p.m. We found space in the garden, nice, shady, spacious. There is play area for children. The food (schnitzel with fried potatoes, salad and currywurst with fries) was served fairly quickly and it was filling. Our waiter was quick, even though he had to cover the entire right area alone. We will come back, even indoors.

Lemon pike perch has no flavor and is not salty at all. Definitely no lemon taste. I had to salt it 7 to 8 times to be able to eat it. In addition, the piece of zander was very small compared to the price. The schnitzel is good. Nice beer garden. No vegetarian option.

We went for dinner, the food does not stand out, it is normal, a lot of detail in the menu but the dishes are very basic. The lady's attention was very bad, we asked her about the dishes we ordered and she did not want to take a minute to explain to us which was which, always with a bad face. I would not go back.

Staff understaffed and therefore service slow. Drinks will no longer be served half an hour before closing time. The chanterelles are full of earth and sand and the salad with chicken is a mini portion and without dressing. Don't ever go there

Reserved for five people at short notice on Friday evening, without any problems. When we entered we were immediately shown to the table and greeted in a friendly manner. The selection is clear but varied, the portions were “Bavarian lavish” and left nothing to be desired in terms of taste or quality. The prices are also absolutely reasonable for Munich standards. The rustic ambience hasn't changed much in the last forty years, you still feel warmly welcome and can leave your problems outside.

Sandy chanterelles and salad with almost no dressing. Beer replenishment was rather slow. The music outside was positive, but the bottom line is that it doesn't cut it!

Great beer culture, here the bar waiter knows his business and Augustiner from the wooden barrel is simply a show. Food is okay, all the classics of Bavarian cuisine, but nothing outstanding. Just a few beers with a snack platter, roast pork or... and a few friends to chat with and you have a nice evening or afternoon

Not a beer garden with self-service, but a garden of the restaurant, so a cheese spaetzle costs €17 and a Wiener schnitzel €26. We don't have to go there again.

Wir waren hier zum Abendessen,haben das gute Bier genossen und uns sehr über das Essen geärgert.Hunger sollte man nicht haben,die Portion Pommes zum Schnitzel hätte nicht kleiner sein können.Da vergeht einem die Lust essen zu gehen.Dieses Wirtshaus wird uns nicht mehr sehen!

Schade, im Biergarten sitzt man schön unter Kastanien, aber sonst: - war der Service des schwarzhaarigen Kellners unterirdisch schlecht, unaufmerksam und unfreundlich; besser wurde es erst, als es ums Bezahlen (und ein mögliches Trinkgeld) ging, - kippte eben der Kellner ein Bier übers Handy, kein Wort der Entschuldigung, statt dessen knallte er einen Pfiff auf den Tisch „so viel hast Du noch im Glas gehabt“, - war das Augustiner vom Fass so schlecht eingeschenkt, dass wir es zurückgehen ließen; etwas mehr als ein Viertel ist halt keine Halbe - und das für 5,50 € ( wegen der Musik wird hier 1 € Aufschlag verlangt, was auch ungewöhnlich ist), - war das Essen eher mäßig und dafür zu teuer - die Pfifferlingssülze lag auf schlappem Rucola und war leider völlig geschmacksneutral. Insgesamt muss das nicht nochmals sein….

Always great! I really enjoy coming here when I'm in Großhadern. The service is great, the food tastes excellent. Anyone who likes a Bavarian meal will definitely get their money's worth here. And speaking of costs, they aren't particularly high either.

Great restaurant, great food, first class service

Greeting was great but as soon as we sat down the service stopped. We waited for 10min for the menu which we ended by getting from another table. All Beer was short measured which for a brewery is unforgivable. The food was ok but again failed on service as condiments we not provided. The waiters ignored anyone not close to the door of the beer garden. We did not tip which says everything. Positives the beer garden was nice.

An den Räumlichkeiten im Inneren und dem Garten gibt es nichts zu meckern. Die Halbe Augustiner zu €4,50 ist gut eingeschenkt und das Personal ist professionell und freundlich. Ich kenne dieses Traditions-Wirtshaus schon seit über 40 Jahren, die Küche hat aber mittlerweile leider einen Tiefpunkt erreicht. Ich hatte die Tellersülze vom Schweinebraten, die mit ein paar grünen Salatblättern und Zwiebelringen schön dekoriert war. Der Inhalt dieses tiefen Tellers bestand aber leider nur aus maximal 50 Gramm Schweinefleisch in dünnsten Scheiben - der Rest war mehr als ein viertel Liter Sülze. Die dazu gereichten lauwarmen Bratkartoffeln trieften vor Fett. Es ist für mich leider nicht das erste Mal, daß hier das Essen das Geld nicht wert war. Gewinnoptimierung hat wohl inzwischen die erste Priorität - schade um dieses schöne alte Wirtshaus.

I've been here a few times. Everything was always right! Bavarian tavern culture is lived here - a reason for me to come by again. No matter whether it's a beer garden or a restaurant! 🍻 May 5, 2024 Here again today - ate roast pork, dumplings and coleslaw, and drank dark Augustiner in a stein. Waiters very quick and friendly! Worth a visit again! 👍

The food tasted very good, but unfortunately it only arrived lukewarm at the table after about 45 minutes. But there was a lot going on and the waiters and waitresses really had a lot to do

Classic Bavarian restaurant with a beautiful beer garden. The food is OK, unfortunately now a bit carelessly prepared. That used to be better. I just expect more for the prices here. Beer is delicious and the service is quick and very friendly.

The weather was great for the beer garden, so it was well attended and we had to wait a long time for our food, over an hour. Unfortunately the food wasn't great. I had Wiener Schnitzl (veal) that wasn't seasoned enough, had too much breading, and the meat was pounded so thin that you had to look for it. The second meal, a roast pork, which was also very bland in taste. Cost for 2 meals + 2 drinks 67,- including tip, the price would have been right if everything had been ok. Luckily we had a nice waiter, otherwise it would have been a sad evening.

We've been here before, but this time my food wasn't that great. I had the roast pork which is usually highly recommended. But that was nothing. More fat than meat and one piece looked like it came from a knuckle. A pity. But the waiter was very helpful and very friendly. We'll still come back. Maybe I was just unlucky this time. 😉

Went to the beer garden on Sunday around lunchtime. Ambiance ok. Nothing special. Service quick and very friendly.

Standard ambience, excellent cuisine but unfortunately far below average service. That's it in a nutshell... in a long way... I don't know how long you have to wait for service and attention here, still waiting. Don't go there anymore.

Food was okay but nothing special. But rarely have I had such unfriendly service. When asked, the answer was "it's in the menu, just look it up". And if there was even the slightest misunderstanding on your part, the mood would be ruined with a really cheeky accusation. Maybe she should listen instead of taking the order as she walks past. So rarely experienced something like that. It's a shame for the family if the service ruins the evening.

Good middle-class restaurant that is also busy at lunchtime, which speaks for a good price/performance ratio.

Beautiful inn with excellent cuisine. I've been there a few times with different groups and have always been very satisfied.

So far so good, a typical nice Augustinian pub. What we didn't like was the roast pork portion was very small and in keeping with the trend of Munich innkeepers: price high, make portions smaller. And just tapping into a 30 liter barrel when the pub is full is rather embarrassing!
