A quaint pub, the food was solid, good, and the portions were decent. Even though the burgers aren't available until 5 p.m. according to the menu, you should be able to order them by 4:55 p.m. Hence, one star deducted for service.

Everything was perfect. The staff was very friendly. The food was delicious, and the beer garden was very inviting.

We were in the beer garden for lunch today. Two out of three employees couldn't answer simple questions about the lunch menu. We then decided we didn't want to eat because the highly motivated, black-haired waiter had no idea what the menu was and fell asleep while working. A disgrace for these exorbitant prices.

We spent about five hours in the restaurant, consuming a correspondingly large amount of food – and yet we were practically ignored by the staff. Service only came after repeated, conspicuous waving. It was only when the tap manager pointed us out that the waiter even noticed us. The used dishes piled up for hours, and despite repeated requests, only some of them were cleared away. I had to clear the rest myself – with the instruction to please take it somewhere else. Unbelievable. Even when we tried to pay, I was consistently ignored. I sat directly in front of the booking terminal on a high chair, and the waiter walked past me three times without even looking. It wasn't until the fourth time that he noticed me. When we paid, they also undercharged us for two beers – which I honestly stated and paid for when I left. An apology? None. The only positive thing: The food was really good and the beer excellent – ​​especially the one from the wooden keg. Conclusion: We'll only be back one last time to redeem our beer tokens. Without this reason, we wouldn't go back to the restaurant again. The disastrous service ruined the entire visit – what a pity about the food.

We had asparagus soup here. It was so bad, we had to send it back. We then ordered a salad, which was also quite tasteless. The service seemed annoyed. Only when we were about to pay did they suddenly become friendly again—presumably to get a tip. The ambiance is okay for a pub, but it's quite loud. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it. There's another pub in the same area that's much better.

A traditional Munich restaurant in a beautiful setting. Friendly service and the food was excellent. The roast pork with dumplings and coleslaw were very good and plentiful (2 slices and a piece of crust), and the additional mixed salad was delicious and varied. The fried chicken was tender and nicely pulled from the bone, which the diners commented on positively. The homemade potato salad was also very good (which isn't common in many restaurants these days, as many buy ready-made potato salad from wholesalers). So, I highly recommend it!

Spontaneous visit that was very positive. Beer gardens in Munich are simply a must anyway. In the Haderner Augustiner the ambience is perfect with tables under the beautiful old chestnut trees. The food - mixed salad and roast pork with potato dumplings - arrived very quickly. The salad was very fresh and the roast pork was juicy and not bone dry like in many restaurants. The meal was rounded off with a half of alcohol-free Augustiner Helles, which simply tastes fantastic

Like Kaiserschmarn, the whole schnitzel (there is only Wienerschnitzel) and smaller dishes like meat patties. But I'll definitely come back because the food was very tasty

BEWARE SCAMS!! Older waitress with short hair claimed after our large party paid that we didn’t pay for a dish and two beers. This is after she sat next to each of us individually while we paid for our individual items and shook her head disapprovingly every time we told her our tip amounts. Then, after claiming we didn’t pay for everything, she said that she was unable to prove what we paid for and she wasn’t able to see the receipts or the items that were entered into the system. We could also all prove our payments with credit cards which she refused to look at. She told us, “why don’t you each just pay two euros? That won’t hurt you.” The whole thing felt very dishonest. Always look at ur receipt before! And If she tries this with your party, DONT PAY UNLESS SHE CAN PROVE WHAT WAS ORDERED/PAID FOR!! The food was amazing and other servers seemed great otherwise.

2019: Unfortunately we were disappointed with the food today. It was okay but not tasty at all. And of course the prices no longer really match that. A few weeks ago for lunch it was good, except for the waitress who kept ignoring us. Today the service was good. Overall it's sad because it's not exactly cheap. That's why you simply expect more from service and cuisine Maybe the landlady should come to the table every now and then. Especially when you could only say negative things to the waiter about a side dish Will try it again at some point and otherwise there are plenty of other restaurants in the area. It's a shame that the ambience is good and the cleanliness is good. January 2020: Waitress was initially super nice and came often, unfortunately this was no longer the case after the main course and we sometimes had to wait a long time before we even saw her again. Food again just average. Price performance only worth 3 stars. January 2025: I joined a group of friends. Unfortunately I could only have a drink because the waitress simply didn't come to the table. It took almost 40 minutes, despite drawing my attention. I would have liked to eat something, but no one came. I didn't leave a tip when paying. The ambience is still nice, but far too loud for me personally. Almost like being in a train station hall. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the current menu because I haven't received it. Quaint Bavarian restaurant, former “Weissbräu” beautifully renovated!

Went here for dinner on Boxing Day. It was very busy but the service was very friendly and didn't seem stressed. There was a smaller selection of food, which is fine for a holiday. Unfortunately, 80% of the dishes had an alcohol sauce, which is rather difficult when you are breastfeeding and therefore the selection is very small. The food was very good and the portions were sufficient. There was an extra children's menu for the children 👍 Price-performance: rather more expensive. Probably due to the location in Munich 😉

A type of restaurant that has become rather rare in the Munich area. Something quaint and authentic. Reservations make sense. We (4 people) just managed to find a free table on a Thursday. Our 4x meals were good, the waiter was quick and friendly. Absolutely recommended.

Sitting in the beer garden in the sunshine in November Tasty food and more service might be great. But food came at the same time, and when the service staff was there, they were there 100 percent.

Always great, nice service, 5 stars and more, food beautifully prepared but unfortunately a bit too expensive for the quite small portions. Update: now it's getting more and more bold..was there a week ago and salad with goat's cheese is now only served with simple goat's cream cheese in the form of small shaped balls) not like before and actually usual everywhere else, namely that a nice piece of ZK is on top, which, depending on the case, is served baked or flambéed with a nice crust. And then collect €16 for it!!! Absolute impudence!!! Now that's enough!!! Never again!!!

It was my first experience in a traditional Munich pub but it was a very good one. The atmosphere there on a warm Friday evening was amazing, the food likewise. And of course the beer as well. The Haderner Augustiner is a Bavarian restaurant. In the garden you can sit under old chestnut trees, and there is a playground for small children that is easily visible. Theater performances take place on the first floor. There is a disabled toilet on the ground floor. There are bar tables inside and outside for people who just want to have a drink. The innkeepers and staff are very hospitable and you are always warmly welcomed. The food is good, you can make special requests. There are also takeaway meals available.

We were there today, in the "in-between time", i.e. at 5:30 p.m. We found space in the garden, nice, shady, spacious. There is play area for children. The food (schnitzel with fried potatoes, salad and currywurst with fries) was served fairly quickly and it was filling. Our waiter was quick, even though he had to cover the entire right area alone. Lemon pike perch has no flavor and is not salty at all. Definitely no lemon taste. I had to salt it 7 to 8 times to be able to eat it. In addition, the piece of zander was very small compared to the price. The schnitzel is good. Nice beer garden. No vegetarian option.

Reserved for five people at short notice on Friday evening, without any problems. When we entered we were immediately shown to the table and greeted in a friendly manner. The selection is clear but varied, the portions were “Bavarian lavish” and left nothing to be desired in terms of taste or quality. The prices are also absolutely reasonable for Munich standards. The rustic ambience hasn't changed much in the last forty years, you still feel warmly welcome and can leave your problems outside.

Not a beer garden with self-service, but a garden of the restaurant, so a cheese spaetzle costs €17 and a Wiener schnitzel €26. We don't have to go there again.

Schade, im Biergarten sitzt man schön unter Kastanien, aber sonst: - war der Service des schwarzhaarigen Kellners unterirdisch schlecht, unaufmerksam und unfreundlich; besser wurde es erst, als es ums Bezahlen (und ein mögliches Trinkgeld) ging, - kippte eben der Kellner ein Bier übers Handy, kein Wort der Entschuldigung, statt dessen knallte er einen Pfiff auf den Tisch „so viel hast Du noch im Glas gehabt“, - war das Augustiner vom Fass so schlecht eingeschenkt, dass wir es zurückgehen ließen; etwas mehr als ein Viertel ist halt keine Halbe - und das für 5,50 € ( wegen der Musik wird hier 1 € Aufschlag verlangt, was auch ungewöhnlich ist), - war das Essen eher mäßig und dafür zu teuer - die Pfifferlingssülze lag auf schlappem Rucola und war leider völlig geschmacksneutral. Insgesamt muss das nicht nochmals sein….

Always great! I really enjoy coming here when I'm in Großhadern. The service is great, the food tastes excellent. Anyone who likes a Bavarian meal will definitely get their money's worth here. And speaking of costs, they aren't particularly high either.

Greeting was great but as soon as we sat down the service stopped. We waited for 10min for the menu which we ended by getting from another table. All Beer was short measured which for a brewery is unforgivable. The food was ok but again failed on service as condiments we not provided. The waiters ignored anyone not close to the door of the beer garden. We did not tip which says everything. Positives the beer garden was nice.
