We were here at lunchtime and had a small snack. Weisswurst with sweet mustard and pretzels, as well as a delicious potato soup. We also had our own lemonade. Everything tasted great. The staff was friendly. The proximity to the busy road was a bit of a nuisance.

We actually just wanted to have a quick drink outside in the beer garden, but then spontaneously decided to have something to eat after seeing what other guests were eating. The dishes were delicious and, even though Nymphenburg Palace is right next door, weren't overpriced. The small beer garden is cozy, and the service was very friendly.

Whether you're looking for a cozy beer or a good meal, both are great options here. The atmosphere is top-notch.

This is a very nice, clean, large, and older inn. It has several different dining rooms. There's also a lovely little beer garden behind the house under chestnut trees. A brewery that has been open since 1700 where you can find an environment worthy of fairy tales, fully immersing yourself in Bavarian culture! The dishes, typical of Bavarian cuisine, are steeped in the flavor of grandma's dishes: simple but delicious, making your heart skip a beat! No, not recommended. If you serve white sausage with a roll, I wouldn't be surprised if you add a kebab to it soon. It's totally unacceptable! Ever heard of nice, rich, brown pretzels with white sausage?

Unfortunately there was a piece of plastic in the food, with sharp corners at that. One should have expected an apology from the kitchen in the form of a dessert or drink, because that is an absolute no go. Eating a large portion, the taste could be better. Very friendly service, nice environment. But plastic parts in food are of course disgusting. Therefore not again!

We were passing through and were thirsty. The six of us were able to drink something without having to eat. We stayed in the winter garden, we sat well, but for me personally it's too kitschy compared to the beautiful front part. I had fond memories of the Metzgerwirt, although my last visit was several years ago. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined significantly since then. The cordon bleu was unseasoned, the cheapest ham and cheese, and the fries were limp and lukewarm. The meat was covered in a lumpy flour sauce, with horseradish placed next to it. We weren't expecting this. The friendly young lady serving the food deserves a special mention, but overall, unfortunately, I can't recommend it anymore.

Very unfriendly service, 2 blonde women very rude - one says that there is no toilet for the guests, the other ignores you and is very arrogant. Because of the food, maybe it's better to order salmon because of the German dish... Haxe was just like rubber! Never again! Thank you!

Sowohl im Sommer 2023 als auch im Sommer 2024 passierte mir das Gleiche: Sobald klar wurde, dass ich lediglich auf ein Getränk in den Wirtsgarten einkehrte, war es mit der Freundlichkeit der Servicekraft vorbei. Schade. Ob das wohl an der Nähe zum Nymphenburger Schloß und dessen touristenlastigen Publikum liegt? Ein Schelm, der Böses dabei denkt.

A Munich inn that a Munich resident could only wish for. And the “Zuagroasten” (newcomers) will definitely like it too! Very cozy dining rooms, really Bavarian-friendly service and excellent local cuisine. (The tartare and fried trout couldn't have been prepared better.) Plus Augustiner beers. Were there for the traditional white sausage meal. They only come in even numbers with one pretzel each, so no three or two with two pretzels. The sausage has no taste, the consistency is like cold foam, the pretzels are totally salty and limp, the mustard is from Hendlmayer, but from the small plastic bags. It's a shame we have to look for a new location.

The taste of the schnitzel and suckling pig knuckle was convincing, even if the breading would have had to flake off more for the perfect schnitzel; But it was good, but the portion was just a bit too small for the price. Hidden Gem we found on the way to nymphurberg palace. pork schnitzel is awesome. thinly cut and tender and crispy batter not too thick but Roasted potato abit too salty. trout and steak is good too. glad that we had lunch there

We were there for lunch. Onion roast overpriced for 27 euros with canned onions, I ordered medium rare and unfortunately it was served rare. But it was replaced by the waitress without any problems. We won't go there anymore.
