Tokyo Ramen Takeichi in Düsseldorf

I recently had a disappointing experience with the ramen at this restaurant. It was, unfortunately, the worst I’ve encountered in any Western country—no comparison to the authentic flavors of Japan or Hong Kong. The noodles were overly soggy, almost melting in the bowl. I ordered extra noodles, but instead of serving them separately, they simply added them to the same bowl. This resulted in a noodle-heavy dish with far too little broth, which is crucial for a good ramen experience. When I politely asked the staff member for more soup, he seemed taken aback and informed me that because I ordered extra noodles, there was less broth available. The egg was fully cooked, resembling a hard-boiled egg, and the char siu turned out to be chicken, which was tasteless. The only positive note was that the soup was served hot. I felt torn between finishing the meal to avoid wasting money and going elsewhere. Ultimately, I chose to finish it since it was late and I was hungry. I genuinely feel for the guests and the original founder of this establishment, who I believe had good intentions in creating quality food. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below even food court standards. I cannot recommend this place.

Unfortunately a total failure! Portions are completely overpriced and very, very small. The chicken wasn't well fried, so it had mushy pieces of fat. My daughter's chicken was covered in feathers and was still very pink. Service was friendly but very inattentive, you don't want to have a good appetite or how did it taste? Food was simply put there and then you left. We're not talking about comfort at all, you're sitting between Coke crates and refrigerators.

The food was delicious and the staff was excellent.

The food comes quickly and is very, very tasty. The shop is usually full and if you are unlucky you have to wait outside until a table becomes available. But it's worth it 🥰

The ramen was very tasty, you get exactly what you expect and the waiting time is minimal. The service is also extremely friendly. I can only recommend it.

Ended up here today completely by chance, actually the destination was another ramen shop. We were pleasantly surprised and also found the broth to taste better than the competition. Service very quick and courteous. We'll definitely be back ☺️

I ordered the rich miso ramen. The taste is normal. The soup was lukewarm, like some German ramen. The local store clerks are friendly, but the Japanese male store clerks are very unfriendly. Maybe they don't like Japanese customers.

The store staff treats me like a quarrel. When I went to this store, it became a store that made me feel like I was falling down to that level. I closed my eyes several times because I could see the faces of the members at startup, but this time I'm at my limit so I'll write about it. - Walking while dragging slippers - Uniform is filthy -Smoke at the entrance. -He doesn't speak like a normal person (like a prisoner in prison or a gangster) There is a store clerk like this. The rumors I heard on the streets in Düsseldorf were true. The most important noodles too I've been there 3 times and all 3 times were terrible. I will never go there again, and I will inform all the important people around me. I don't want the people around me to feel unnecessarily negative...

One of the best ramen I've ever tried. Super delicious!

The employees already know me and notice that I can speak a little Japanese😂 one even said お久しぶりwhen I haven't come for a long time🤣 I've tried a lot of ramen in many shops but for me Takeichi is the best ramen restaurant in Düssi. I would like to recommend creamy Shoyu or Shio Ramen. I'll definitely come back again and again. Ok, that's it. See you next time!! またね！！😆

Solid Ramen, I took the traditional "shoyu" ramen and didn't find it too salty at all, maybe just lacking a bit on overall flavour. Can't complain given the price (just 13€). There was also very friendly "japanese-style" service, which was a bit too much for me but I appreciate the server's kindness. I also got mochi at the end, but didn't find them to be anything special for the price, so wouldn't recommend them. The biggest highlight for me was the takoyaki, absolutely heavenly and melt in your mouth texture. Would come again just for those!

Delicious ramen soup like I know from Japan.

I ordered Miso Ramen, and it was really Spicy. I asked them and they said it’s Like always…. They didnt check, they didnt offer something like change or discount… They are very Bussy, and Ramens are much worse than before…. I can’t recommend to go there!

We were lining up for another Ramen restaurant and gave up in the end as we were also running out of time but Tokyo Ramen was small as well so we also needed to line up a little. The waiter was nice, the starter as well as the food was great, the only thing both my partner and I did not like as much was the amount of chicken you'd get in the ramen for 13-15€. Like my boyfriend literally just got one slice of chicken, unlike two rows of slices like they are advertising on the photos. You can even see on the picture that he only got that slice :D I mean, yes the ramen soup was very good but I don't know if he ever would want to pay 13-15€ for soup with boiled eggs and a little egg noodles again.

The Japanese male customer service is very bad. Only us Japanese people did not greet us, and there was no response after taking our order. At the end of the day, they had an overbearing attitude and said they couldn't do separate accounts. He smiles and is friendly towards Germans, so I guess he doesn't like Japanese people or makes fun of them, as other reviews have said. I think it would be better if I didn't work at a Japanese restaurant. I will never go there again.

First of all, the food was good, but not good enough to cover all bad aspects of eating there. The waiter there …. I really got the feeling like he was high, like I mean he wasn’t that overfriendly asian guy, he was on the verge of being called inadequate . He spilled the cola all over the table and us 2. He was sitting with us , even if we didn’t like it. IMHO they really need to fire him or do smth with it.

Excellent Ramen! We were looking for a different place, but with such a busy crowd we opted for this place and the food exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was pretty quick and the staff very friendly.

Ramen come out so fast and is very good.

I ordered Tantanmen. was expecting ground meat, but I got chicken instead. At first I was a bit off, but the chicken was tender, so that's fine. My friend ordered shio ramen. the broth tasted clear, salty and a bit like fish. I personally prefer the rich & creamy tantanmen.

There have been some reviews written by Japanese people, and they really treat Japanese customers with a great attitude. Of course, I didn't say anything when I went there or back! I didn't even ask for a drink! He denies everything and has an overbearing attitude! Racist.

Since I started living in Germany, I started missing Japanese ramen, so I heard that there was a Buichi restaurant that I used to go to when I was working in Tokyo, so I visited there. I ordered the rich soy sauce ramen that I always eat. First, I tried the soup, and it was delicious, although it felt a little bland compared to the Japanese restaurants. However, when I ate the noodles afterwards, I was shocked at how bad they tasted. The texture was soggy and unpleasant to eat, making it feel like you were eating noodles made of clay. I was really surprised as I had never eaten such bad noodles before. The other day, I ate a one-euro delivery dish sold at a German supermarket, and I found the noodles there to be much more delicious. I don't know if it was a coincidence this time, but it's not cheap so I don't have the courage to try it again.

Had a delicious meal at Takeichi Düsseldorf. It was quite busy, which often means that it is a good place to eat. They stood in line outside. Food was delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was quite basic, but all in all fine. It's all about the food and that was absolutely fantastic.

We had 1 x Veggie and 1 x Veggie Ramen Spicy. Both were very tasty. You can order many extras. The waiting time when queuing in front of the restaurant was quite short. We didn't have to wait long for the food itself. The staff was super nice, we would love to come back.

The food was so-so amd the service was terrible. The waiter was so impatient and had an annoyed face. I sat near the kitchen and saw the waiter got a bowl of noodle to ask the cook to remove the spring onion. The cook didn't wash the hands and removed the spring onion by hands, which made me disgusted. In ocnclysion, Not recommended and you can find other better ramen restaurants easily.nearby.

The staff was super friendly. Despite the really high number of visitors, you didn't really notice how stressed they were and they were always nice. The food also came very quickly. The shop looks very chic from the inside. Just sitting right by the window can be a little strange because people in line can watch you the whole time. Otherwise everything was great. The food was also very tasty. These were my first real ramens and we were not disappointed. So I can only recommend it!

The employees are always friendly, in a good mood and speak great German, which is really not easy for native Japanese speakers. What I liked about the food was that there were plenty of vegetarian options and you could also get the ramen without soup.

I love this place and the ramen. Takoyaki is also worth the hype. You might have to wait in line, but it's not that bad depending on the time of day. The service and food make up for it tenfold.

“A piece of Japan in Düsseldorf – highly recommended!” Tokyo Ramen Takeichi impressed us! Even the short waiting time of only about 5 minutes on Thursday evening was a sign that it was a well-organized restaurant. As soon as we were seated, we were warmly greeted and served with typical Japanese friendliness. The highlight of the evening was of course the food: the ramen was simply delicious! Perfectly prepared, with a wonderfully aromatic broth and fresh ingredients - so authentic that you feel like you're in Japan for a moment. For anyone who wants to experience a bit of Japanese culture in Düsseldorf, Tokyo Ramen Takeichi is just the right place. We would love to come back and can highly recommend the restaurant!

Food is worlds better at surrounding restaurants. We had oil on the table with a moldy edge. It really spoiled our appetite.

My dish Mazesoba tasted almost exclusively of fried onions, and the ramen broth clearly lacked depth and flavor. The gyoza weren't convincing either - they tasted like the ones you bought from the Asian market, I'm 100% sure of that.

If you're having the Nouku soups, try adding a tiny drop of vinegar in the soup, along with the chicken flavor-bomb-in-a-bottle. Insane how underrated this little place is!

I ordered the most basic soy sauce ramen, super delicious❤️ The noodles are moderately soft and hard, and the soup is a rich chicken soup. Although it is a little salty, it is not bad, and it tastes very much like Japanese food. Definitely worth coming and will visit again if you have the chance~ Dined at 3pm, no queue.

Meat in a vegetarian meal - The service has always been quite slow and the food is good. Today, as always, I ordered the VEGETARIAN spicy miso ramen. When I was almost done, I noticed small strings of meat at the bottom of the bowl. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he also confirmed that this was meat. When I asked, I was not met in any way with the justification “you ate”. Really disgusting and disappointing for me as a vegetarian!

The noodles had a strange slimy feel and a chewy texture, it was so off-putting that I couldn't finish my portion. In the end we accepted the loss and went somewhere else.

I ordered a traditional ramen and was very satisfied. It was amazingly delicious, also a big portion I couldn’t finish all of it. The mochis as dessert are also quite tasty. The staff is very polite, even tho had to wait for 5-10 minutes before getting a seat. The prices are okay, considering the high quality of ramen! I will definitely return to try other types of ramen. 5/5

It's definitely delicious. Tokyo soy sauce is probably the best. The waiter cheerfully suggested salty soup stock, which made it even better. I used to go there often when I was stationed in Bangkok, Thailand, so I will be coming back here in Dusseldorf. I recommend this over the nearby Ta○mi 🍜

Soup are salty,Strong smell of chicken meat, noddles are difficult to chew. Moral of the story, stick with the European food if you are in Europe.

We didn't have ramen because the pictures on the menu really didn't look appetizing. The food we ordered, rice with salmon, rice veggi and rice with chicken, were ok but small portions. I think the prices are really outrageous and we weren't impressed with the taste. Sorry, but I cook far better.

Unfortunately, the food has declined, dishes have been removed from the menu, when there is a lot of demand you can tell by the food and service. We liked it until last year. Unfortunately we will now look elsewhere.
