Tokyo Ramen Takeichi in Düsseldorf

This is the first time I've ever seen a waiter in a Japanese restaurant wearing disgusting, oily slippers to serve guests. Such a thing is inappropriate in both Japan and Germany. The soup was good, but the chicken had a very strong raw taste. I didn't like the meat.

I happened to be walking by and just wanted a quick lunch. The portions are huge – almost impossible to finish, and I usually eat a lot. Very tasty, the wait time is about 5-10 minutes, depending on what you order. I had the Jumbo Ramen and it was excellent. The staff is very friendly.

I was curious about Japanese cuisine. I had the meal they recommended. It had boiled chicken and noodles. I didn't like it much. It was very crowded and it was hard to find a place.

Tantanmen Ramen is the best here

I didn’t realize that all ramen soup was made with chicken. Personally, I’m a bit more fan of porkbased soups, however, it was still very nice! The gyoza was also delicious. The waiters were also super kind. So I would definitely recommend trying it out!

It was okay. The taste was passable. It's Japanese ramen. It was crowded on the weekend when I went, and the service was a bit lacking in some areas.

Unfortunately, it was only just okay. Everything was quick and friendly. I had the classic ramen shoyu. It wasn't spicy, so you could add your own seasoning. But the taste was just okay. The noodles didn't seem to be homemade, and the broth wasn't anything special either. You can go there, but there are definitely tastier ramen options.

Solid, good ramen. Unfortunately, one of our ramen was very greasy; there weren't just noticeable globules of fat, but almost a layer of fat on the broth. The second ramen, however, was very tasty. For the price, we would have expected more toppings. The atmosphere is very loud and hectic. The staff, on the other hand, are friendly and very fast.

Straight out of tokyo and onto your plate, hands down best ramen in town. Friendly japanese staff and delicious food. Must have.

Very bad attitude from the staff. We were checking menu and waiting for our friends. Nobody reminded or warned us about how much time we could wait for our friends, and this one waiter started to giggle to us, with literally zero respect. We said our friends will arrive in 5 mins, and he replied “5 mins, or outside.” Food is fine, shoyu is good but the spicy ramen is tasteless.

As someone who has eaten a lot of ramen in Japan and especially in Tokyo, I was genuinely impressed by Tokyo Ramen Takeichi. It’s rare to find ramen outside Japan that really captures that authentic depth of flavor but this place comes remarkably close & may even be one of the best I have had outside Japan. The broth has a rich, well-balanced taste and the texture is exactly what you’d hope for. Comforting, full-bodied and deeply satisfying without being overly heavy. The noodles have the right bite to them and the chicken was surprisingly flavorful (tender, juicy, and seasoned perfectly). You can tell they put real effort into getting not only the flavor right but the overall harmony of the bowl. If you appreciate authentic Japanese ramen, this spot is definitely worth seeking out. It brought back the feeling of eating at some of my favorite ramen shops in Tokyo, which is something I don’t say often.

Tokyo Ramen is by far my favorite restaurant and a must-visit if you love ramen. I especially recommend the takoyaki and the Tantan Men Special. I order it all the time and will never get enough.

Yesterday was my first time there with my sister, and I was thrilled! I've been to many Japanese restaurants, but I have to honestly say that the chicken here is the best. It's incredibly juicy and tender. The food was fantastic, and the restaurant had a really lovely, cozy atmosphere. I'd especially like to commend our waiter; he has such a warm and welcoming manner that you immediately feel at ease. He was an incredibly friendly gentleman who took wonderful care of us!

Reservations aren't possible here! But we knew that, so we were happy to stand in the drizzle for a few minutes just to eat there :). The food is great, and the staff are very friendly and cheerful. Only the restrooms leave something to be desired, in my opinion. But that's negligible. I would prefer hand towels as an alternative to a hand dryer, as these can quickly become a breeding ground for bacteria and viruses. Otherwise, as I said, great, I'd gladly go back 😃🐔🍜🥟

Busy Saturday evening. Had to queue little. But there were queues on every Japanese restaurant om the street. And there are many. Got the seating next to window in a row. We were 3 so it was fine. Atmosphere was lively and restaurant very busy. The waiters were quick and good. Ramen was delivered quickly and tasted like in Japan. Good gyoza too. And the ice cream rice dessert was great. I can recommend.

If you are visiting Dusseldorf, this place is a must visit for having ramen. We tried a ramen with soup and the other without, both were equally good. Would love to try other versions of the broth next time.

I ordered the Jumbo-sized Akihabara ramen special miso, and it was absolutely worth the 19/20 euros. The atmosphere was great and quieter than usual restaurants, which I really liked. The waiters were very kind and friendly; in the evening you have to wait a bit longer to get in and get your food, but at noon you’ll almost get it instantly. The food was also pretty practical for my dog, who was very tired because he didn’t eat. I gave him some chicken meat and soup and he enjoyed it.

We love coming here; the food is always top-notch, and the service is super friendly. We rarely have to wait to be served. The ambiance is typical of a ramen restaurant. It's functional and serves its purpose.

We had excellent ramen. Rich broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and flavorful side dishes. They don't reinvent ramen here, but they simply execute it superbly. From the first spoonful, we were back in Japan and would gladly return.

This is a pretty unique Japanese ramen place. The main ingredient is chicken, hahahaha! It's not the pork slices I usually order at Lin Noodle Shop. The chicken is tender and tastes good. As for the simmered noodles, it's still a little salty. ^^ But overall it's OK. The guy who took the order spoke English with a Japanese accent, which was quite funny. Hahahaha

A large bowl of ramen with a good flavor, salty and tender chicken. Sesame oil spinach and tofu. These two dishes were just so-so.

It was great again! We go to this restaurant often and are never disappointed. The food is delicious, and the staff is always super friendly and helpful. We also come regularly with our three-year-old daughter, and I can honestly say it's a very child-friendly place where the whole family feels at home.

I can only vouch for the Tantan Men I had, but that was absolutely delicious. Add a formidably nice service and you have an experience I am happy to have had today.

We went out to eat with our child. We were the first to arrive and were by far the last to be served. The couple next to us had already paid, and we still hadn't had our food. I had a tiny piece of tofu in the vegetarian ramen with tofu. Overall, the ramen was good, but we left with mixed feelings.

Ramen tasted good but the waitor was rude. When I paid with two notes and THREE coins, the waitor just kept saying "no coins no coins" in a rude way, and took the two notes and gave me changes in coins. If I was to pay with TEN coins, then yeah I can understand maybe he didnt want to receive too many coins. It was THREE coins that I paid with. If he had said "sorry we dont take coins" then I would also had understood. Felt like he was just trying to be rude 😒

A good restaurant with unfathomably quick service And tasty asian food. Fried starters and succulent bowls (salmon, chicken And pork, ramen) are recommended! Friendly staff that speaks German as well as English.

I stopped by during a business trip to Germany. It was crowded, so we had to wait, and the German who showed us to our table was friendly. However... the problem was the Japanese person taking our order. When I called them over to order, they shook their head and fingers, repeatedly saying "Aino, aino" in a very unpleasant tone. After a while, they came back and clearly said "2 Soy Ramen"... They tilted their head and said something along the lines of "I don't understand your English" before taking our order. The Soy Ramen was overall greasy, and the chicken was not seasoned at all, cold, and dry. The spicy ramen was decent, though. They were incredibly kind to foreigners, so I couldn't understand why they treated us so badly. I felt bad even before I started, so I quickly left. Ramen for 30,000 won a bowl. I'll never go back ^^

We went on a Sunday for dinner, and service was fast and friendly. The place started to get more crowded past 18:30. Ramen was tasty.

A great place to eat traditional ramen typical of Tokyo. The wait was short, and the service was fast and correct. One drawback is the early closing time at 9 p.m. For Spaniards, dining at that time is a bit early.

A franchise ramen shop located in Düsseldorf’s Little Tokyo. It seems to be run by actual Japanese staffs, which adds to the authentic feel. I ordered Tantanmen but it wasn’t as spicy as I expected. Still the broth was rich and flavorful, making it really enjoyable.

The food was okay, but nothing exceptional. Both the spicy miso broth and the regular broth tasted a bit underwhelming. While the meat dishes contain a relatively large amount of meat, my vegetarian version only had a small cube of tofu. Sure, the dish is a bit cheaper, but oh well. So, all in all, it was a bit boring. The service was okay, but nothing special.

The food was average, so there was nothing special to say about it, but the unfriendly and rude attitude of the staff during peak hours was particularly noticeable, which made it even more disappointing. To be honest, it gives a bad impression. Even though Japanese people would be able to communicate with each other.

We order spicy one and traditional one, all taste good, the spicy one is more salty than the traditional one, I also order Greentea hot, really great combo. Staffs fast and friendly, foods come fast too. Totally recommend.

I went there with my group after checking out Japan Street. We had to wait in line for about 10 minutes. Once we were seated, the food arrived quickly. Personally, I think the takumi restaurants in Cologne taste better. It's not bad, but it's not exactly amazing either. It's very filling. Personally, I won't eat there again.

Today, I experienced an extremely unpleasant situation with my daughter and my family while celebrating her birthday. She, who was turning 11, wanted Japanese food. So we searched online for a good restaurant and found one called Tokio in Düsseldorf. Once we got there, we ordered, and the food was fine; everything was normal at first. However, after we finished eating, my daughter and I (her mother) wanted to go to the restroom. We went to the counter, asked for directions, and a young woman showed us the way. Then, while I was in the restroom and my daughter was putting on her makeup in the mirror, someone started banging on the door extremely aggressively and shouting at us, using insults like, "Get out of there, you idiots!" in an angry voice. Completely confused, I left the restroom and found it was a waiter. His appearance was unkempt and dirty, and he yelled at us to leave immediately. I explained to him that we were customers eating in the restaurant, but he apparently didn't understand and continued to shout and insult us in front of all the guests. We then demanded to speak to the restaurant manager, but were told—remarkably strangely—that he wasn't present. As a family, we will take the appropriate steps, as we were subjected to a horrific experience on what should have been a happy occasion.

My favorite ramen place in Düsseldorf. The taste of the ramen here is simple and feels authentic. Apart from the ramen the other dish I love the most here is the Katsu Don.

Seriously the best ramen. We advise you the tam tam with egg. A bit hot 🔥 but an experience!

I tried the ramen, Nouko Shoyu, and it was delicious. The bread was so thick and moist, I ate it until the bowl was empty. The service was okay, maybe because they were busy, but the food came pretty quickly.

The Japanese staff here were absolutely lovely and attentive! The only reason I give 3 stars and not 1. However our experience was ruined by another colleague - tall, white man with a beard, brown hair. We were waiting to order and caught his eye as he walked by and politely asked if we could order - no impatience, we consider it quite normal to catch the waiter’s attention and let them know you’re ready. We were speechless at the scalding we got: “is it so hard to wait?” We immediately apologised for any misunderstanding in our intentions and said of course we can wait. He snapped “just order now”. Again we apologised and explained we had no bad intentions. He continued to behave very rudely and unprofessionally. It was incredibly uncomfortable, I’ve never been spoken to like this before in a hospitality setting. For the whole meal we just wanted to disappear. Definitely won’t be back which is a shame as it was a favourite in Little Tokyo
