The staff were very helpful. Since I'm vegan and don't eat onions or garlic, they checked for me several times. However, the soup did contain garlic. Later, I asked them to make clear broth soy sauce ramen, and they were able to do it. That was great! 👍

Absolutely delicious! The family was especially impressed with the vegetarian options. The soups were well-seasoned and very flavorful. All the appetizers were simply delicious. Even the curry, which I found a bit unappealing 😂, was fantastic. The service was friendly and efficient. I think all the dishes were on the table within 10 minutes. We'll definitely be back! ☺️

Unfortunately, very disappointing after many years as loyal visitors. We were big fans of Takumi for many years and have often recommended the restaurant, especially because of the Japanese politeness and respectful treatment, which always impressed us. Unfortunately, this has changed significantly in recent years. The service now seems overwhelmed, and the respectful treatment of guests seems to have disappeared. Today, despite being assigned a seat and having already received our menus, we were asked to leave and vacate the table, supposedly because other guests who had previously wanted to eat outside now wanted to come in. There was neither an apology nor understanding, just a request to leave. Such behavior would have been unthinkable in the past. Takumi now seems more like an overcrowded tourist attraction, where friendly, respectful treatment of guests is unfortunately lacking. Only the Takumi in the Loretto district still recalls the times when hospitality and appreciation were a matter of course. It's a shame, we were enthusiastic guests for a long time, but after this experience we probably won't be returning.

We visited Düsseldorf for a day and passed on little tokyo where there are lot of Japanese restaurants. And we found this Ramen places. The ramen was so good! Definitely will come back to this place again whenever we visit Düsseldorf.

I don’t understand what is the hype about this. It s quite overrated, nothing special :/ I ordered original ramen and didn’t like the chicken, it had the skin and it was quite chewy. I ordered an extra egg, it was overcooked, also other veggies were not that fresh. So I don’t think this place deserves +4.5 stars but people who worked there were very nice :) thank you for the service

Honestly, this is my favorite takoyaki place in Düsseldorf. It's away from all the hustle and bustle and doesn't seem to be very busy right at the beginning of opening hours. Even though many of the products are vegetarian or vegan, there's a wide selection of food for non-vegans as well. For example, there's a limited-edition Mala Paitan Ramen that tastes absolutely fantastic. There are many fantastic toppings and small dishes too. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Mixed feelings. I had probably the best gyozas of my life, but then one of the top three worst ramens of my life. Bland, tasteless, and disgustingly oily eggplant in it. I'll give it another try because the gyoza were truly phenomenal.

I was absolutely thrilled with the vegan ramen selection – you can choose from several dishes, and it tasted simply divine! Don't let the line outside the restaurant put you off – it usually goes quicker than expected.

Had too much meat in the past few days in Germany, therefore, we decided to search for Asian food instead, especially when we are in a little Tokyo area, it's very easy to find those authentic Japanese foods. We tried the deep fried chicken Ramen and rice. The taste was good, portion is big! And the yuzi lemonade was actually German made, bravo 🤩

The takoyaki are delicious, but the gyoza dumplings were very disappointing. Only a few were well-fried on one side, the rest were barely cooked at all. The taste was so-so. completely uncaring and uneducated attendants. We waited 20 minutes in line, a waiter gave us a table and we waited another 25 minutes at the table waiting for someone to simply bring the menu, other people who arrived later received the menu and their food and when I went to complain to the attendant another attendant came to inform me that I would have to wait for the other people who arrived later to be served. I am a customer and I really liked it but after this experience I will not go back.

A Japanese restaurant that specializes in ramen! They have Kirin Japanese beer on tap and offer several vegetarian options. The atmosphere is reminiscent of Japanese taverns. Sometimes there are lines (especially on weekends), so be patient! Highly recommended!

I went there 2 different days and the experience was perfect each time. The first time was on the weekend so the restaurant was really crowded and we needed to wait a bit long for our order to be prepared but the other time when it was a weekday the atmosphere was more relaxed, I enjoyedit very much. The food is absolutely amazing, very big portions with all tasty elements! I tried karaage curry and karaage ramen on different occasions. I loved it! The waiter/waitresses were also really attentive and kind. I felt welcomed. Definitely again!

We ordered two vegan ramen and gyoza. The food arrived quickly and we really enjoyed it. We went back a week later. Our only criticism is that the waiter overlooked us both times when placing our orders, which meant it took a bit longer.

The ramen soup here is simply amazing! The broth is super tasty and there is a large selection. I've been there many times and can only recommend it. There are no reservations, so sometimes you have to wait in line as the store is really popular. But it's definitely worth it! The food also comes very quickly. The shop is a bit noisy, but you can still have a conversation with your companion. After a while you also fade out the surroundings. Overall, I highly recommend this store!

Best Takumi as far as taste is concerned. Chicken as well as vegetarian Ramen is really delicious. There's usually a wait from 5pm onwards, but totally worth it.

Was at Takumi for the first time due to the very good reviews. Had the A2 Tonkotsu Ramen and my buddy had a vegetarian ramen. Unfortunately, neither of us liked the ramen. Mine was totally over salted and just tasted like ready-made beef broth. It has nothing in common with a broth that has been steeped for hours. We both only ate half of it and none of the staff asked why. Conclusion: I was only in Japan a week ago and the Tonkotsu Ramen at Takumi simply has nothing in common with the Japanese version other than the name.

The best Rahmen I've ever had in my life! Friendly and polite staff, the food doesn't take long to be served, even on weekends. Sometimes there's a line to get in, but it's worth it!

Food good but not very special. Frames are eaten with wooden chopsticks, I would have liked real ones here. Quite expensive in price, but not uncommon these days. The gyozas are a must!

The Paitan Ramen is really recommended. Only available in an extremely limited number, whoever manages it simply has to enjoy it! I don't understand how you can give the ambience here less than 4 stars. No matter which restaurant in the chain you visit, they all have their own style not only in the selection of dishes but also in the design.

As with the other Takumi restaurants, the food here is first class, the service is very friendly and the ambience itself is very authentic.

The combination of crispy chicken, fresh bok choy, egg, nori and spicy minced meat was just perfect. The broth had just the right amount of spiciness and depth – intense but not overpowering. The wooden spoon design makes the whole thing even more authentic and the atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and inviting. There was also a cold beer – the perfect accompaniment! The service was friendly and quick, despite the house being full. If you're looking for authentic and high-quality ramen, you've come to the right place! I'll definitely be back! 🍜🔥

The store looks great from the inside. A real plus to the look of many other ramen shops in the corner. I can especially recommend the Mala Paitan to you. Otherwise the Takayuki are recommended. If you're really hungry, you're in good hands with Katsu Ramen. We'll be back.

I am not a generous person when it comes to food. Chicken is actually not a common ingredient for the ramen however they made it really good. It’s an authentic place. run by Japanese people service was really good. Try to finish the snacks when they’re warm! It was a pleasant dinner :)

Vegans also get their money's worth: there is a large selection of vegan ramen and starters. 🌱 The vegan takoyaki and the vegan ramen bowl were delicious - the taste was absolutely on par with the classic versions. An extra portion of noodles is definitely worth it so you can get even more of the delicious broth. ☺️ The choice between wheat and whole wheat pasta is also great. We were there early Sunday evening around 5 p.m. and immediately got a seat at the counter. However, it can get crowded from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., so it's better to come early. The stylish Japanese ambience invites you to enjoy a relaxed meal with friends or as a couple. The team was super friendly and helpful – we were served quickly and the food came to the table quickly. We were there on a Saturday at 3:15 p.m. and had to wait 50 minutes outside the door. The crowd is really big. But the service is really fast and friendly and the food is very tasty. The takoyakis were incredibly delicious! I almost liked it better than the ramen itself😅

I love ramen a lot, but good veggie ramen is not that easy to find. I've eaten in the area several times and I found the ramen here to be by far the best! We had to queue for almost half an hour, which is completely normal when you look at the other shops. I would definitely like to come back!!

A regular until recently, but unfortunately something happened a few months ago. Either a change of ownership, a new chef, ... I can't explain it: food suddenly over-salted, partly cold/warmed up, noodles no longer fresh (stick together), lumps of miso paste in the food, tables are no longer cleaned beforehand (with a damp cloth or disinfection - the leftover food is swept aside with a napkin instead). Eating there used to be a pleasure, but today the portions remain half to full. We've tried it there three times in the last few weeks and unfortunately it didn't get any better. On the contrary. They have also added more tables outside so that you can feel the butts of the other guests close to you. Unfortunately, this isn't any fun anymore.

I was there today with two friends. We had to wait a little longer at the door and found it a little disorganized. We were called in twice even though there wasn't enough space. Then we went out again. Everything OK. You sit at a table with several people. But if you know that, it's not bad. The food was very tasty so far. You could pay by card. There was enough choice. There was also enough choice available for vegetarians. All in all, I would give the store four stars

It's really tasty! I've been trying ramen bars all over Europe for years and this one is definitely in the top 15! I can only recommend it. But you should plan some time because you can't make a reservation and have to wait in line for 20-30 minutes. But the wait is worth it!

I am heartbroken. Three years ago, when I first wrote the review, it was a clear 5 out of 5. Even a few months ago, the ramen tasted great, even though prices have steadily climbed after Corona and portions have become smaller. Today was a really disappointing experience. The ramen tasted like nothing! For the life of me, I could barely taste miso. Kakiage became a lot thinner, and if it wasn't enough, the noodles were completely soft. I'm so disappointed. This was one of my favorite places in Düsseldorf, where I went several times a month. Now I probably won't be able to do that anymore.

I can really recommend a visit to Takumi Chicken & Veggie to everyone. The selection of vegan starters and ramen is great and very large. My boyfriend and I often eat there and we've tried almost all of the vegan ramen so far - every one was very, very tasty.

The waitress could hardly communicate in German or English. Because she used a cooking bag, it was always on the salty side. If she wanted to add less salt or add a cup of water to the noodle soup, she couldn't understand it at all and couldn't communicate normally. Complete the most basic ordering and checkout operations
