Tasty, fast, typical and good ramen.

Takumi 1st serves close-to-authentic Japanese ramen varieties indeed. Every time my wife and I are in Dusseldorf, we always make a point to have their ramen. It is not easy to find good ramen in the city, in which we are currently living in Germany. The restaurant exudes nice Japanese pub vibes although the venue is not spacious enough. My wife and I ordered Deluxe Miso Ramen and Tonkotsu Ramen. 1. Deluxe Miso Ramen : Superb texture of the ramen noodles, slightly runny egg yolk, crisp bok choy and shrimp, crispy and light exterior of the karaage with the right amount of seasonings. Last but not least, it is the broth as the highlight of the dish. It is deep flavour of the milky bone broth. The chef could reduce the saltiness slightly though. 2. Tonkotsu Ramen : Great texture of the ramen, crisp blanched bok choy as well as bean sprouts, decent-sized of the pork. Needless to say, the ramen noodles also have fantastic bounciness. One point to suggest would be to reduce the amount of salt in the broth.

This is the best ramen bar in Europe so far. I've been returning back to this bar 9 years now. I visit it at least once a year when visiting the city. Sometimes 2 times in 2 days. Service is professional, quick, kind and at the highest level. Food is super delicious. There is almost always a cue in front of the bar, but it is definately worth waiting. Recomend!

Exceptionally good food and nice, quick service!

We have been here several times and we always love it. The ramen is very tasty 😋, as is the gyoza. The service is very courteous and the food comes to the table very quickly. A “must” if you are on Immermannstrasse 👍

When it comes to ramen, we think it's the best place in North Rhine-Westphalia - possibly even Germany. Simply delicious - all starters are also recommended. Incredibly authentic, very friendly service and always consistently high quality.

I was in line at 11:40, short wait, good service. Food came quickly. I had the deluxe ramen version, unfortunately much too salty, the chicken parts were not fresh, also too salty, I only got half an egg. Too bad.

The food was delicious and we were able to share and try a lot. I recommend the octopus balls "Takoyaki" - they are phenomenal! The service didn't serve us quickly enough given the long queue in front of the restaurant.

Overhyped! Salty. Flavourless. Avoid if you’re looking for good Japanese food! Do not wait in line! We waited in line from 11:30 today, on the first Friday in January, for 12:00PM opening. We were seated and our orders were taken super efficiently. We were impressed, but it went downhill quickly. Within a couple minutes, complimentary gyoza came out. It was barely warm and obviously store bought gyoza. Not even high quality. But we were hungry and grateful for it. Shortly afterward, the rest of our orders came out. The karaage chicken gyoza set, which came with rice, a small spoon of kimchi, and miso soup, was a generous portion and a nicely balanced meal. The only positive part, however, was the miso soup, which was flavourful and with plenty of vegetables. The karaage was super salty, barely crispy, and not deeply flavoured. I was missing the ginger flavour especially. The gyoza was the same mediocre store bought gyoza. The takoyaki was the best thing we ordered. But it’s super pricey at 6€ for four small balls. The octopus piece inside was generous and the dough was soft and tasty. But there was NO BONITO FLAKES ON TOP!! I was shocked. Save your money and do not order tonkotsu deluxe ramen. Apparently 3 small shrimp, a couple pieces of the salty poorly flavoured karaage, and half and egg makes it “deluxe”? Super salty. The noodles were overcooked and unremarkable. The flavour of the soup was nice and deeply porky, however. Finally the veggie spicy miso ramen was a very sad vegan dish. The portion was good and there was a good amount of veggies. But the flavour was so lacking, simply salty with a little chilli paste and tiny dab of miso. The noodles again were overcooked. So sad! We came all the way from Heidelberg looking forward to this much-hyped Japanese restaurant, and were sorely disappointed. Overhyped.

What can you say? Great ramen, everything tasty, good service.

Delicious, authentic and friendly service. For my taste the broth could be a bit hotter in winter. But the taste (for me this time it was Ajitama Shoyu Ramen) is always really great.

Let’s not talk about sitting outside in the cold winter. The problem is that Tokyo Shoyu Ramen is really unpalatable. It only has a salty and bitter taste, which is difficult to swallow. In the end, I really couldn’t finish it.

Ramen was, as expected according to the recommendations, very, very tasty. Nevertheless, I don't think there could be any better in Germany. The highlights for us were also the small dishes such as Chicken Terryaki and Gyoza. If you want to sit outside in winter you can skip the eternal queue, there are heat lamps and it was totally okay like that. It's nice inside, but you sit a bit close together (you have to want to). Drink was forgotten, not bad but an apology or something at the end after pointing this out would have been nice, offer was not typed in at the checkout and had to be claimed. Otherwise very very friendly service.

Very weak. The food was tasty, but the service was subpar by German standards. We waited outside in the cold for 20 minutes and were then told to sit outside. There was a pedestrian path between the restaurant (or rather snack bar) and the outside tables, which was very inconvenient because we were repeatedly harassed by passers-by and even homeless people. The table we were given was not wiped down. You should go to the checkout and pay yourself and also wait in line. The drinks and food were brought quickly, although the prices were slightly higher compared to other snack bars. It may be that such behavior is common in Japan, but I am comparing this with other restaurants/snack bars in Germany. OK for a unique experience.

Ramen is a place to enjoy food fast, not to chat for a long time. Ask your customers to leave after they finish their meals. Be Japanese.

Takumi 1st is one of the popular ramen stores in Düsseldorf. I am impressed by the authenticity of the Japanese restaurants here; it truly deserves the title of “Little Tokyo.” They have an open kitchen separated by glass, allowing you to view the real-time activity inside. The Japanese vibes are authentic. The ramen is on par with what you might find in Japan, and they serve the actual Hanjuku egg with the ramen! We tried both the ramen and dons, and both were well done. The queue can be intimidating, but the turnaround and service are fast. Their indoor seating accommodates around 30+ people, and they also have outdoor seating with heaters.

Worth the long waiting time. Highly recommended authentic Japanese ramen.

If you want to eat Japanese ramen and feel like you're in Japan, this is the place for you. Not only is the food perfect, but so is the service from the employees. 10/10

Food was very tasty and the staff was super nice too. You can sit both inside and outside. You can also pay by card. I can definitely recommend it! You can get a seat quickly, even if the restaurant is a little full. You can also look at the map while you wait. Then they'll give you one. Prices are really justified.

I finally made it to Takumi and what can I say, the wait in front of the door was definitely worth it. I have rarely eaten ramen as authentic as I did here. In addition, the service was simply friendly and quick. One of the best addresses on Immermannstrasse.

We recently stayed at Takumi and absolutely loved it! We tried the Ramen Surf & Turf Takumi Style and Karaage Tan Tan Men and both were a real highlight. The broth was incredibly tasty, really intense and balanced. You can tell that a lot of love and high-quality ingredients are worked here. The portions were very generous, so you really won't go hungry. The service was friendly and attentive. For everyone who loves ramen: definitely try it! We were definitely not there for the last time.

I visited the restaurant because I heard a lot of good things about it, but unfortunately I can't understand the hype. The service was friendly, but I wasn't impressed by the food. The ramen was okay, but for me it lacked depth of flavor and special touch. The broth was only moderately seasoned and very salty and the ingredients didn't leave a lasting impression. I wouldn't go there again as there are many other options that taste more convincing, such as our SJ Ramen in Bielefeld.

Takumi delivered an authentic Japanese ramen experience with rich, flavorful broths and perfectly cooked noodles. Albeit the lack of variety in menu options, the generous portions are satisfying. While the cozy atmosphere adds charm, the seating can feel a bit cramped during busy hours. Despite this, the quick service and excellent food make it a must-visit for ramen enthusiasts.

The famous restaurant Takumi, famous for its ramen food, on the Japanese street in Düsseldorf. Unfortunately, they don't cook the chicken very well. If you eat ramen, make sure to ask for the chicken to be cooked very well. It was delicious outside. But I realized it was exaggerated.

There's a long queue during most of the time of the day. Honestly I expected more from this restaurant but got a bit disappointed. The fried chicken in the set menu was good but all the ramen (we ordered 5 different ones) lacked flavor in the broth.

Great, authentic dishes at good value for money. There were three of us and we paid €73 (3 main courses, 2 starters, 3 drinks). A single serving is large and very filling.

As always very satisfied. We waited a few seconds for the drinks and less than 10 minutes for the ramen. The waiters were really extremely accommodating.

We thought the food would be better, it’s not horrible, but in terms on ramen it’s nothing spectacular. The egg wasn’t marinated, it was just a regular half boiled egg without seasoning. The broth was a bit too salty. The cha shu was mid, definitely had better. Also, they forgot my initial pak choi in the order. My friend had spicy broth and it wasn’t that spicy, and the chili oil they had didn’t really add any spice. I liked my broth and the texture of the noodles but that’s about it. I wonder if the other ramen places around here would taste better.

The line is constantly long here, but we were lucky and didn't have to wait long. The noodle soups are delicious, worth a visit

A delicious ramen shop. Personally, I didn't like the noodles, so I gave it a lower rating, but if you get this kind of flavor in Germany, it might be a luxury. I ordered deluxe soy sauce and gyoza, and the wait staff was quick, so I was able to eat without having to wait long after I was seated. It's just a little disappointing that the shrimp in the ramen was cold.

I felt hurt 💔 today was my second time there to get takeaway don since I had great experience first time I purposely decided to stop by Düsseldorf and went there for food. Sadly, just right after I paid for my takeaway and expressed to the staff how cold the weather is outside, the staff kicked me outside in the cold when I’m sick and did mention I felt cold. She just push and forced me to the coldness while there were clearly space inside the store. Honestly…. It just ruin my whole day and my whole expectations sigh make me sad

Is okay, but a always full. Food was okay but iam not big fans of Ramen so idk the different , i think i will choose other option not ramen anymore

The sanitary facilities were overall in good condition. Floors and sanitary objects were clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, the tight space proved problematic, especially for people of larger stature. The lack of paper towels and the associated use of hand dryers were also a negative point. The loud fan seemed unhygienic and disturbed the peace. The general cleanliness of the facilities should be highlighted positively. Compared to other toilets in Düsseldorf, these were definitely above average.

We visited here today following a recommendation. The best ramen we have ever eaten. Beer on tap, great appetizers and, as I said, the best ramen. If you like, you can add a number of toppings, but the standard versions on the menu are sufficient for good eaters. Thanks for the tip and thanks for the great food!

On August 7th, 2024 I was in Düsseldorf at Takumi 1st, I think the most famous restaurant for ramen. I came with very high expectations, I've stood in front of this restaurant many times, but the line was always too long, so I actually didn't want to wait until I could finally eat this ramen. This time I was lucky and was able to try the ramen. I had teriyaki miso ramen and a Japanese lemonade. To keep it short, unfortunately my expectations were not met, the hype and great praise from well-known YouTubers are unfortunately a bit too high for me. This ramen was delicious, no question about it. The meat was tender, the broth a good combination of sweet and salty, with a slight spiciness. It's definitely not worth standing in a long line or traveling to Düsseldorf for ramen like this. If you're there, you can definitely eat something delicious and there's also a refreshing lemonade.

wonderful. You can taste almost Japanese cuisine even though you are in Germany. The reproduction of taste is also highly complete. The fried chicken and katsudon were delicious, and the pickles and sake were also great. However, it's a long wait...but it's worth it.

Of all the Takumi branches I've tried, this one has to be the best. As is often the case here, there was a line outside. We were helped quite quickly and were allowed to sit at the bar with a view of the kitchen. It was of course completely full inside and it had a good atmosphere. The service works hard, fast and efficiently, with no time to take it easy. Fascinating to see how they work in the kitchen. The ramen was tasty, meat plentiful, bowl well filled and the broth tasty. Definitely an experience you will not soon forget!

Too popular to be good. First of all, the broth was good. The cha shu was torn and the noodles were clumped together. The service is also oriented towards efficiency in order to be courteous etc. Of course the staff was still nice.

My first visit to Takumi was a wonderful experience! The food was very tasty and my friend was also very satisfied. The portions are generous and just right, so you really get your money's worth. An important point to take into account is the waiting time, because it can be quite busy. But honestly, it's well worth the wait. The flavors and quality of the food make up for it completely. I can't wait to go here again. Takumi is an absolute must for anyone who likes authentic ramen and a nice atmosphere. We will definitely come back!

The food was very tasty. There were seven of us in the store and each of us got good food. The portion is relatively large, and the food is also not expensive! I'll definitely go there again!

Absolutely amazing, authentic katsu. This is the first time I found a Katsu speciality restaurant outside of Japan, so I was excited to eat at Takumi. There was a good choice of different options such as meat, fish and vegetarian. I opted for the Salmon Katsu and honestly the portion was larger than expected, and absolutely mouthwatering. They also had a nice selection of Japanese drinks such as Melon soda, Lemon iced tea, Nama beer and more. Great value for money and really delicious. For me this was on par with Katsu I've had in Kyoto. I've often experienced Japanese restaurants in Europe not being authentic but Takumi did not disappoint.

Food and drink was fantastic! Find that a lot of ramen places can be salty but this one was perfect! you can add additional items to your bowl, in my case I added seaweed. Would recommend the fried octopus, lovely and soft. Staff were super friendly, a real buzz about this place! Queues are always expected, but for good reason. The same could be said for the other Takumi stores. Also sell their own instant noodles cup and set, bought one of each so will have to try. Hope that i can go here again one day if not then at least their other branches across other countries!

I love fried chicken with ramen and my husband chose a signature dish with miso. His broth was rich with lots of flavor. Mine was not so rich but the chicken was juicy and flavorful. We always visit this place when we come to Düsseldorf. In the winter time wear something very warm because the line could be quite long. This place is always crowded because they cook authentic ramen. Better than most places in Japan🙊

Trendy Japanese restaurant in Little Tokio in Düsseldorf. The selection wasn't large but sufficient. It actually tasted really good and we didn't have to wait long for our orders. The service staff were all great and didn't seem really stressed despite the huge rush. When we arrived there were around 30 people in line in front of the full restaurant. But that was the case with almost all the shops on the street. Nevertheless, after about 20 minutes it was our turn and we were able to sit down at one of the tables outside. Will eat there again when I get the chance.

You can see how the amount of pork in the Ramen they have is decreased compared to the past, so all you get is a bowl of miso with 3 tiny layer of pork and small amount of bamboo and some sprout (for eggs you must pay extra), last year they added enough amount of pork to the Ramen, and this year the taste, quality and amount all is decreased. I share the photo of my Ramen so you can see how thin the pork was, and there was small amount of bamboo in the Ramen, And the taste was not as good as the past, I had much better Ramen in much less known places and do not understand why is this place so overrated??

Everything was perfect! 100% recommended The food came to us in less than 1 minute after we ordered and tasted excellent. Everything tasted good, the main course, the tea and the desserts. The atmosphere inside is very pleasant and fitting for a Japanese restaurant. Waiters were friendly.

Amazing place to go at any time of the day! The 5star reviews here are well earned and if we could give more, we would. The line at the entrance of the restaurant has its reason and it is well worth to wait here for the food. Everything perfect, every single grain of rice … every broth …. IT IS A MUST, if you visit Little Tokyo.

We just had dinner there. The food was good But what kind of logic is that? I got in line and my husband just took out the parking ticket.. he was already coming down the street but it was ignored.. supposedly everyone has to stand here and only then are you allowed in... Ok, so far Now we were sitting inside.. very cold without a jacket. I just wanted to change the table to the corner.. it was free but such a rude answer.. that has to be it.. I pay for my food... nothing is free Maybe turn on the ventilation?? But leaving the door open at 7 degrees... Only the blonde young woman was nice 👍 Afterwards the food was of course very bland…. Was the last time...

The fried squid starter was a bit tough and bland. The ramen was good for that. Would like more spiciness with “spicy”. Service was a bit hectic.

The short wait on Saturday afternoon was definitely worth it. The ramen is delicious and authentic, and the portions are generous. If you can't manage everything, you can get a take-away container at the checkout and take the rest with you.

Super delicious noodles, but I didn't find the broth, which is very important for ramen, that special, which the noodles can't completely compensate for. It's definitely not bad, but I've had better ramen than there at a better price-performance ratio.

The surf and turf ramen was amazing. The right amount of spicy 🔥

A place recognized for the best ramen in the city and it is no wonder, if you plan to go, go early because you have to wait in line, however the wait is not long. Something important is that dishes that say they are spicy can be ordered without spicy, like the deluxe (it tastes delicious with or without spicy)

The staff is so welcoming and friendly. They listen to you and try their best to give you the right service. The food alone takes you on a journey, a culturally tasty journey that you learn to appreciate with each bite.

We came during peak hours and weren't expecting to be able to get a table, however the wait wasn't too long at all. We were seated in about 15 minutes and our food came out quickly. We loved the lively atmosphere of the restaurant and the food tasted great as well.

The frames were good...but would I have to wait in line for another 30 minutes and drive to Düsseldorf specifically on recommendation? Definitely no...

Unfortunately the food was a disappointment. All the hype about the ramen and the shop is not justified. Both dishes tasted identical and actually not good. The service was also very hectic and absolutely overwhelmed. We didn't eat the food and quickly paid the money and looked for something else.

I originally thought it was a local ramen shop in Dusseldorf, but after eating it I realized it was a chain store. I also had it in Amsterdam last year. The soup was very thick and salty. It was so thick that it was like sauce rather than soup. It was delicious, but I still think it’s delicious. The traditional ramen soup is delicious. There is no barbecued pork. The main side dishes are green vegetables, bean sprouts, chicken strips, fried chicken (additional charge required), and soft-boiled eggs (additional charge required).
