The pumpkin soup was top-notch.

Excellent value for money. The staff is very good. Those not expecting Michelin-starred cuisine will be satisfied with the good daily specials. A generous breakfast buffet is offered on Sundays. This is the kind of restaurant one wishes were more often – other establishments could certainly emulate it.

The dishes were delicious and very generous, the menu is very varied with different options, including vegan choices. Furthermore, the service was very friendly and professional; you could tell they enjoyed what they did. Eating there was a great decision. We'll be back.

The food is great, the lunch menu is varied, really fresh and affordable, the quality is always good, and the prices are fair. And above all, the team is super nice. No frills, no fuss – simply a place with a good vibe and attitude. A real asset for Freiburg and the district. A safe space, a meeting place, a place to feel good. That's all it needs.

Very friendly service, but the homemade iced tea was a joke! It was syrup with water and ice cubes, and I paid over €4 for it...

Best drinks, best atmosphere. Creatively mixed, fair prices, always reliably good. Timeout can be relaxed, but also a real party. The 20th anniversary party was legendary. If you're looking for good drinks and a friendly atmosphere, this is the place to be.

The service was very friendly, the chef was very loud, slamming doors, etc. The daily special was a burger with bacon, but the bacon was forgotten. I asked for it, it was replaced, but no apology. Too bad. I'll look for something else for my coffee now :-/

A Wiehre institution! Whether it's breakfast, a delicious fresh lunch, coffee and cake, or the evening menu with various classics, everything here is well-prepared. Lovely outdoor seating, both sunny and shady, is plentiful. Wines and cold beers from the region. Time Out has it all. Perfect!

The Sunday brunch buffet is outstanding. The buffet offers a very large selection, and the food is of high quality. There's fresh orange juice and even more unusual items like white sausages. Overall, highly recommended! The value for money is also very good.

I went out to eat yesterday. I ordered nachos with guacamole and red salsa. They weren't good, and more than half of them were crumbly, inedible! Once home, I felt sick that night. I vomited everything I had eaten and had colitis throughout the day. Clearly, what I ate wasn't in the best condition.

I was there this evening, it was a dream, the apple spritzer was perfect and the fries were very good. But the service was the best thing about the restaurant. I haven't seen such nice service in a long time. At the end they gave us gummy bears for the children. You could also watch great football and the atmosphere was very pleasant. It is highly recommended!

Great restaurant for many, many years. Burgers, fries and coffee & cake are awesome (especially the coffee - I don't know of any other restaurant that offers such good coffee and offers decaffeinated coffee/oat milk for so little extra) ♥️ Sometimes it's just the service that's a bit annoying, but that's perhaps how it is when you've been running something successfully for many years...

We went here by chance in October 2024 and what can I say?! 4.4 stars does not do this restaurant justice. Great food at affordable prices, great service and I love your outdoor area. We are coming back to Freiburg in February and will definitely come back to you.

As always, when two or three of us go to Timeout at lunchtime or in the afternoon, the food, the service and the atmosphere are excellent. Conversing in peace and quiet is what makes things special for us. Always happy again!

We were there for brunch - and it was absolutely one of the best brunches we have had in Germany 😍👌🏼

The bacon was missing from both BBQ burgers - there was no BBQ sauce, the fries were without salt and the salad had a very sparing dressing.

We can often be found there. We were always served very nicely. Price/performance of the food (including daily meals) is very good. We would love to come back.

Last Sunday I was - as I often have been - out of time for the football broadcast. Since I was sitting in a central position at the counter, I could easily observe how the staff "run the place". Cheers! I have rarely experienced so much commitment, speed, friendliness and attentiveness in a pub. This is not a given! Thank you very much for that and a big compliment to the whole team!

Wonderful! For the prices it's probably the best restaurant in all of Freiburg. In addition to the normal menu, there is a different daily menu every day, which is on a separate weekly menu. The interior design is very comfortable and homely and of course there are live football games directly in the restaurant during European Championships or World Cup times. It's almost impossible to complain.

Hello, I have been a guest at TimeOut for years. The staff is always friendly and competent in their work. It should be emphasized that TimeOut is absolutely fair in its pricing and the quality of the food and drinks is remarkable. I can strongly recommend a visit.

Definitely one of the worse dining experiences I've had in Freiburg. I was a guest with my family (5 people) and will certainly never make this mistake again. We were greeted with a short nod towards our seat, where after being seated we had to wait 25 minutes before ordering (it was actually quite full and the service seemed a bit overwhelmed, or one more person would certainly have been good). The drinks then came quite quickly, which cannot be said about the food, 60 minutes of waiting time for a meal that was certainly frozen is simply too long. Apart from the salad drowned in sauce and the burger, which tasted very much like a finished product, the food was unspectacular but okay. The biggest drawback, however, was the constant cigarette and cigar smoke that constantly came from the next table. We didn't want to cause the service any more stress, which is why we put up with it.

Three of us ate there. Salads and burgers were like leftovers. Something was probably no longer right. We should have listened to our first impression. And that would have saved us a stomach ache.

Notified by phone that reservations are not possible on the terrace. Arrive extra early to find that every spot on the terrace has already been reserved. Unfortunately the staff is absolutely incompetent.

Been there for the first time, rather a chance stop on a Monday evening. The daily meal was wonderful and plentiful, the service was prompt and extremely friendly. We were able to chat in peace and quiet and would be happy to come back.

The timeout has a very nice atmosphere in which there is a good mood. A really nice evening with good food and nice people.

We asked if it would be possible to have the food within 10-15 minutes of ordering. We emphasized that we are in a hurry. The answer from the waiter was 20 minutes. We agreed. After 30 minutes the food still wasn't there and unfortunately we had to leave without eating.

Quite a nice location in itself. But when it comes to service, it leaves a lot to be desired as we specifically ordered a vegetarian burger and got one with meat. When we told the service person this, we were given a salad as compensation that we didn't need. Mistakes happen all the time and that's completely normal, but ESPECIALLY AS A VEGETARIAN, you expect appropriate compensation and an apology, because it just seemed to us that they were still annoyed that we complained.

Heute habe ich bei Ihnen Mittag gegessen. Erst als ich bezahlen wollte, hat mir eine Kellnerin mitgeteilt, dass Sie Probleme mit dem Zahlungsgerät haben und ich darf nur Bar bezahlen. Cash hatte ich nicht und aus diesem Grund musste ich zusätzlich im Regen zur Bank gehen, was gar nicht nach meinem Zeitplan war! Sorry, aber falls ihr Gerät nicht funktioniert, dann ist es nur Ihr Problem und auf keinen Fall das Problem der Gäste. Sie müssen entweder vorher darüber informieren oder danach sich entschuldigen und einfach geduldig warten, dass Ihre Gäste Geld abheben. Stadessen musste ich mit einem Pfand beweisen, dass ich zurückkomme. Der Betrag war 15 Euro. Das ist einfach nicht schön... Gästeorientierter Service soll eher etwas Kleines als Entschuldigung schenken, da Sie mich in eine unangenehme Lage gebracht haben und meine Zeit gestohlen haben. Ich muss auch sagen, dass die Kellnerin nett war und sich entschuldigt hat. Gegen sie kann ich nichts sagen. Ich hoffe, dass die Geschäftsführung meine Bewertung liest und nachdenkt. Es wäre schön, den Service zu verbessern!

Freundlich, locker, guter Service

Tagsüber stärker besucht als abends. Man kann draußen sitzen oder auch drin. Wir hatten einen Flammkuchen und einen Hamburger beides war preislich günstig und lecker Bedienung sehr freundlich, saubere Toiletten im Keller

Eine kleine Auszeit... Das time out in Freiburg befindet sich in der Wiehre und ist eine gemütliche Bar/Restaurant. Die Bedienungen sind super freundlich und schnell unterwegs! Es gibt eine große Auswahl an tollen Getränken und Speisen. Aber mein persönliches Highlight ist das frühstückens Buffet am Sonntag (09-14uhr) dort gibt es eine wirklich große Auswahl an verschiedensten Belagen und Brötchen! Alleine dafür sollte jeder mal vorbeikommen.

Rinderleber ist Glückssache ...ich hatte ein bisschen Glück 🤫.....Sosse super.....Bratkartoffeln extraklasse 🥳....Beilagensalat ok . 9,80€ als Tagesessen Preis- Leistung ....absolut genial. Service ....danke, hab mich wohlgefühlt Macht bitte weiter so 👍

I didn't eat there but enjoyed a prolonged wait with a drink and chatted to a very nice server. Nice atmosphere both inside and on the terrace.

Food was average in my opinion and the wait time was very long even though there weren’t that many people. However the location and the seating options were quite good.
