We had lunch with 30 people in the Jägerstube in the Stubenareal. The service was very good. Drinks and food were served very friendly and quickly. The food was very tasty. Many thanks again to the whole team.

Delicious food with a little catch. Unfortunately the Leberle (sour) were a bit dry; The Cordon Blue, the fried potatoes with a side salad were excellent! Very friendly, attentive and quick service. Unfortunately, we didn't get a seat in the parlor (ground floor) during our spontaneous visit, only in the (large) hall on the 1st floor. This was also well attended, so there was a rather loud and uncomfortable atmosphere. The prices have increased slightly. Recommendation: be sure to reserve a place in the parlor (ground floor) beforehand!

We were there as a group and had a larger room on the first floor to ourselves. The food was great and the service too. A very nice young woman took great care of us in her unobtrusive manner. We would love to come back.

Very good service! But the cocktails were subpar. Every drink tasted very uneven and had flavors that I didn't know (either it was the bartender or cheap ingredients...) Not recommended for drinking cocktails!!

Are on vacation in Freiburg for 10 days. During this time we ate 3 times in the lounge area. It was delicious and very plentiful. Service very friendly. We felt very comfortable downstairs in the restaurant and upstairs in the room

Had a big class reunion in the Jägerstube. The acoustics aren't the best upstairs, but the food and service are unbeatable.

We were guests in the Stubenareal today and it was a wonderful evening! Many thanks to the whole team for this unforgettable culinary delight! The quality of the food is top! The selection is also great. However, the waiting times are very long at > 1 hour and are not communicated. A lot of young people work in service here (in an exemplary manner), but they are completely overwhelmed. There is a lack of basics and competent leadership here. Clear tables (never run empty), ask if you want anything else, find the table where the food belongs (instead of asking all the tables) or bring the food to the table at the same time and not with a 10-15 minute delay - are very unhappy. Unfortunately we won't be coming back. It's not the fault of the young employees - it's more the management's fault.

The food and service were great. The prices aren't exactly cheap, but they're absolutely okay. The vegetables were very tasty and not cooked to death. The service was quick and available to us at any time. The ambience is nice and rustic, but the room echoes quite strongly, which is why it can be difficult to have a quiet conversation with louder groups. There are some free parking spaces in front of the restaurant, but they were all full. To park on the street you must purchase additional parking tickets by 7 p.m.

Now I'm really angry 😡 I was just at your place and when I asked, I was told that EVERYTHING on the menu was still available. When I took a seat upstairs, ordered an apple spritzer and wanted to order food a few minutes later, I was told that there were no steaks, onion roast beef or Leberle. I then decided to leave and offered to pay for the apple spritzer that had not yet been served, including a tip. In fact, you (woman) had the nerve to collect it. So I paid 5 euros for nothing. I've been really excited so far and have always given top reviews that have been positively rated by many users. However, this was my very last visit with you. NEVER AGAIN 😡

The best thing that could have happened to St. Georgen. The beer garden is our second living room in summer!

We sat in the upper dining room, it is very cool there and when it is busy it is quite loud. The young conditions are very hard working and accommodating. Food was so-so, most of it very bland, nothing special. Pancake with chanterelles was tasteless, schnitzel was a bit borderline and especially the sauce was water with binding agent and color. Cola was almost without syrup, one was replaced, but you could really see that there was no syrup, it was the color of a thin tea. This is what the service and also employees at the dispensing system should see. We've tested it three times now, but that's it. It's actually a shame, it would be so nice to be nearby.

Our third disappointed and final visit there. We wanted to go to the bar but there was a closed crowd there, which is of course okay. There was supposed to be another cocktail so we were told we could go to the restaurant. We sat there for about 10 minutes before a young man tried to come to us (the restaurant was empty). He took our 4 drinks, asked twice more and disappeared. After about 15 minutes we got our drinks and out of fear that he would disappear again we paid straight away. Suddenly there were 5-6 young men at the checkout, playing hard rock music and loudly talking about idiotic customers. That was the reason to quickly finish drinking and go to a long-established hotel bar. A great area but nothing more

A wonderful, unique place! Beautifully and stylishly renovated, with different rooms and corners - and the beautiful, large beer garden in the back yard! Fine cuisine, good value for money, large portions and a really nice, attentive, young team. In addition, the adjacent lawn and the playground next to the beer garden can almost be described as “natural child care”... 😊 We recently celebrated a family celebration there and were very impressed.

Really already renovated and the food was also very tasty, but I was far less satisfied with my portion. I ordered Brägele with Bibliskäs and salad. The amount of potatoes on the plate came to maybe 1-2 potatoes in total. The dish begins with Brägele, with the salad serving as a side dish. However, I almost exclusively only had salad, which I also gave to the service staff as a tip for the kitchen. I hope this is respected and there is an appropriate amount of potatoes. Another point: An employee walked around between the tables all evening without making any sense and gave the visitors strange looks. He had headphones around his neck and was constantly blowing bubbles with his chewing gum. That was very unpleasant, which was also noted by the table next to us. Maybe point it out.

We requested a reservation for the following day online using the reservation form. Inquired by phone after four hours. Nobody knew. My request for a reservation in the garden was granted. Only inside! My question as to whether guests before us could get a table outside was answered: "It could be that it's full." We decided not to visit because we wanted to make my mother happy by eating outside. I don't think we will visit the restaurant if the weather is bad. Tip: don't offer online reservations if you can't :-(( The operator just called me and explained to me that he is the only person who processes the reservations and that of course that can take time and that temporary staff are not allowed to make reservations. He has now offered us a table in the garden - but I have already reserved elsewhere. Since I still like the quick response to my review, I'm changing my review. Because of and for the quick response, I'm giving 4 stars instead of 1. But please work on the processes!!!!!

There is a beautiful beer garden with a varied menu, large portions, friendly and quick staff

Here you get large and tasty portions at a fair price! The ambience is perfect for families, as there is a playground right next to the restaurant. Furthermore, children eat here for free! Thank you for that!! You'll be happy to go back here

THE insider tip in Freiburg. Top price performance, extremely friendly service. Great location, restaurant, beer garden and café in one. A huge win for St. Georgen. We got married there. We'd love to come back again and again.

We were in the room twice! The beer garden was nice but unfortunately the food was just ok. I find the portions to be too small for the price. But the taste was quite good 👍 which wasn't right at all, there were 4 of us. Unfortunately, the food didn't come in one, but everyone got their food at a different time. So that the first one was almost finished when the 4th got his steak. The waitresses are friendly, but still need some practice. Conclusion: You can drive from Emmendingen to St Georgen, but you don't have to. We won't eat in the parlor again

We left again, the beer garden was about 30% full, there were 4-5 waitresses walking around, we even greeted one near our table with a "Hello", but we were still ignored for 15 minutes, individual glasses were given instead Tables were cleared, other guests were asked if they had anything else they wanted, etc. Nobody thought it necessary to bring us a menu at least once. Underground.

Chaotic service and poor communication: Ordered drinks and meals for 5 people. Drinks didn't come in full. At meals only 4 out of 5 were served. When we asked after about 10 minutes we were told that the 5th meal was out and we should order something else. The meal we ordered was an onion roast, which turned out to be an absolutely tough steak with sauce. In the end we were sent home with a half-hearted apology and no accommodation whatsoever. All in all, it was more than inadequate for the prices quoted.

Service was very friendly and the atmosphere was very nice. Unfortunately we have 1 hour. Waited 30 minutes for the food. The onion roast was unfortunately a thin, dry sirloin steak with onion sauce. My wife had a salad with salmon that was unfortunately fried dry.

The food was very good, the price was also okay, but unfortunately the waiting time for the food to arrive was very long, but I think that was simply due to the kitchen being a bit too small for the number of guests (I think there was also a wedding at the same time) .. The ambience, especially the large beer garden, is definitely always worth a visit.

A beautifully landscaped area with different locations, there is certainly something for everyone and in every season. This time we sat in the large beer garden with a beautiful view of the countryside. The food was first class!

Even after a few visits, I don't think it's good! Starting with the fact that when I ordered 4 dishes, 2 were already eaten before the others at the table got their food, not an isolated case. Very inflexible with the menus: we tried to order croquettes instead of fries twice, but it didn't work. I ordered pasta dishes twice and only received a knife and fork. When I asked for a spoon, I was promised one, but no one came to the table. It would be desirable to ask in between whether everything is OK in order to clarify something like the spoon problem - once again no attention and no question during the meal, I then got salt myself. Despite asking, dessert wasn't brought until more than 45 minutes after the espresso... Outside, the seating was quite crooked in some places, very unpleasant! There's also a gentleman sneaking around there who, in my opinion, often just stands in the way of the waitresses, who could calmly help. Toilets are built very, very small (not barrier-free inside), space for 3, which in others is a cubicle plus a sink.

Had dinner here tonight with my boyfriend. The food was really tasty and not expensive! Also you get a huge portion! The staff were very friendly and helpful. A nice location in the middle of a residential area (seems so!) not touristy

You can eat really tasty food here. Playground is next to it. Large terrace and many tables. Staff always friendly.

Nice ambience. Ice cream, coffee, cake and tarte flambée were delicious. The service, however, was rather unmotivated and super slow. We were the only guests (7 people) for a long time and it took about three quarters of an hour until everyone had their coffee and ice cream or cake. The waiter didn't seem very happy about our visit. Empty plates etc were not cleared away. The high chair was too small for the existing table and was also wobbly.

Mediocre experience. Unfortunately, like almost everywhere in mid-priced restaurants, it was very loud (improving room acoustics with ceiling panels, for example, would be a sensible idea...), the service staff were very friendly and quick at the table. Food is solid, reasonably priced, but nothing special. That would be far too loud and too noisy for special occasions.

Large area with various restaurants. From the restaurant, café, bar, playground, restaurant and event options. Very attentive and friendly young team. Dogs are welcome on a leash. Some parking spaces available in the yard. There is also a very well thought-out disabled parking space. There are also enough bicycle barges and parking spaces. Good price/performance ratio. After a long time I was able to eat very good Leberle with Brägele again. Thanks for that. Choice of food very good. Seasonal and regional cuisine. The food depends on the day. We've been there 5 times, unfortunately 3 times were really bad, once ok and once good. The potato soup was out of the bag, you could clearly taste the flavor enhancers. The sauce for the meat also doesn't seem to have been cooked down nicely, but rather just boiled according to the instructions and served without any seasoning. However, the prices are very high! We think that's a shame because the beer garden is beautiful and the building invites you to linger. Unfortunately, the service is totally overloaded and disoriented, but that is clearly due to the organization and not the people, who are very friendly. We would like to stay in this beautiful place more often - but unfortunately we will look for alternatives.

Had dinner with my 92 year old mother. Table was reserved. After 1 1/2 hours we still had no food. We asked how long it would last, and the answer was: “20-30 minutes”. Then I paid for the drinks and we left. They weren't the only ones. A day like this with many guests should be better organized in the kitchen.

It's nice that the use of the area was implemented in this way. Definitely a gain for the district!! In summer there is a beautiful beer garden and an additional small café with ice cream. Have been there several times and it was consistently good and tasty. The staff friendly! The bar in the vaulted cellar is great. Also more unusual cocktails at a high level. Keep it up!

The garden restaurant is very large and beautiful, but the dust that gets stirred up when people/children walk around is very unpleasant when eating. The tables were very sandy.

Went to the beer garden at the weekend and enjoyed a delicious meal here. The location is great! You eat next to a nice playground and the outdoor restaurant area offers a lot of space. The food is also very diverse and, above all, delicious! The young staff is also extremely friendly. We had our dog with us and were immediately given a dog bowl with water. Gladly again!

Excellent restaurant on the outskirts of Freiburg im Breisgau. Typical environment, clean, friendly staff. We enjoyed an excellent dish made with turkey in herb butter with very good and crunchy cooked vegetables, with a side of mixed raw vegetables. Really excellent also for the palate of us Italians. Highly recommended

A very good Gutedel, a very good seasonal beer, which, contrary to the waiter's expertise, was definitely not a dark pilsner. The large cordon bleu was handmade and old school from the pan and incredibly delicious.

We celebrated our daughter's confirmation there with 36 people. From the preliminary meeting to the meal, we felt well looked after and comfortable. Everything was very tasty and great service. Thank you!

We were there for dinner on Saturday. Unfortunately, despite making a reservation in advance, there was initially no table for us. After some back and forth, a seat finally became available and after almost 30 minutes (in which we weren't offered anything to drink) we finally sat down. Unfortunately, the wait wasn't worth it: the Brägele were soggy and the hollandaise sauce was ice cold. The uncomfortable, loud atmosphere in the restaurant and the rude service only added to the bad impression. We certainly won't be coming back.

Yesterday we went to the Stuben-Bar and had a good time with delicious food and cocktails. The food was excellent and the cocktails were absolutely delicious too! The service (David) was quick & really nice! We'll be back 😊

We were in the Stubenareal on Easter Monday and I have to say, everyone was thrilled. From the food to the service, it was super good. I found my fresh air salad to be very tasty and appealing, simply super delicious. We will visit you again. Keep it up. We were in the restaurant with a group of six people on March 26, 2024. For me it was the first visit I had planned for a long time and I was not disappointed. A well-thought-out menu with permanent offers, supplemented by a seasonal menu - nothing overloaded, which really appealed to me. There is also a good selection of drinks including beers, local and international wines and non-alcoholic drinks. The service was always present and very friendly (the restaurant was very busy). The prices are cheap compared to other restaurants and considering the large portions. We had chicken breast fillet with vegetables and rosemary potatoes (see photo), cordon bleu, schnitzel, pork fillet. In addition to the large portions, we all loved the food - hot, fresh, delicious. When it came to the starter plate (see photo), we all agreed that it deserved more than five stars - a sensational taste experience and absolutely recommended! I look forward to the next visits!

In the evening a full house on two floors! That speaks for itself. Here, young and old meet at large tables and enjoy good home-style cooking with everything that pleases the palate. A real recommendation. 👍 The service was excellent, not intrusive but always keeping the guests' well-being in mind. Really exemplary

What else should I write, my previous reviewers have already written everything... great food, nice service and really prepared. Although a few little things bother me a bit, especially at the café in the area. There is nothing to complain about in the restaurant, maybe for me it was the noise level. Every time I visited the noise level was pretty high. Unfortunately, you can only sit at two outdoor tables at the café; when the weather is nice, everything fills up quickly. And you can't go to the restaurant because of the billing. A pity. I'm also not happy with the concrete elements inside the café... But that's whining at a high level. I like going there. It's just a shame that the café is currently closed for the winter.

As always, very cozy, it was only on Sunday that we were able to celebrate outside at the carnival. Had dinner with the employer yesterday, everything was very tasty and there was a good atmosphere. I'm happy to be there.

Il locale è bello, il servizio è veloce e gentile. Il cibo è servito in dosi generose e di buona fattura, ottima la birra. L'atmosfera è piacevole,il conto onesto, in definitiva un'esperienza gradevole.

Wir waren heute mit 4 Personen spontan im Stubenareal. Das Essen,vor allem die Hauptgerichte war bei allen sehr lecker, die Portionen ordentlich und die Bedienung freundlich. Kleiner Abzug für den Nachtisch, den wir nicht ganz so toll fanden, und dass ein Essen deutlich später kam als die anderen 3, aber unterm Strich haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr gutes Essen, am Ambiente kann noch etwas gearbeitet werden. Die Bar ist sehr gut und das personal sehr freundlich.

Wir waren auf der Suche nach einer gut bürgerlichen Küche und haben hier einen Volltreffer gefunden. Einfach nur Wow. Service und das Essen
