It was a really nice meal here in Hamburg. The Gyros and Souvlaki were very tasty and flavourful and the Bifteki was nice as well. The portions are very big however the food was extremely salty. It is slightly pricey for what you get.

The price is higher, but it's worth it when it comes to eating, standard drinks, staff super nice and friendly, good advice, relaxed atmosphere

El restaurante era muy tranquilo y tuvimos una buena mesa para cuatro por la ventana. Pedido dos platos mixtos a la parrilla: giros, souvlaki de pollo, chuletas de cordero, costillas, tzatziki, pita y patatas fritas. Gran mezcla de sabores y las chuletas, pollo y tzatziki eran particularmente buenos. Con cinco Mythos y un Hugo sin alcohol, la factura era de £187.

Wow, great Greek restaurant with nice and very attentive staff! The weather was beautiful and we were able to sit outside (even as a group of 6) and the food was very good! There are veggie options :)

Excellent food in a beautiful place and away from the touristic hustle. Can’t recommend it enough.

So delicious and very nice place to eat. It was not very busy when we ate but the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The menu is simple and traditional. English menus available. The food tasted fresh with portions that don’t leave you hungry. We ordered the beetroot salad, Greek salad and pita bread.

A real insider tip! The food is an unusual taste experience! The chef can do something!

Wir waren mit 4 Personen für einen netten Abend auf Empfehlung da.Der Empfang war sehr freundlich aber das war es auch schon. 4 Essen bestellt und ein Essen wurde falsch gebracht aber das haben wir noch akzeptiert.Nur das 4. Essen kam erst eine viertel Stunde später. als Entschuldigung bekamen wir 4 Löffel und eine Tiramisu und eine Créme Brulée die wir uns teilen konnten. Zu letzt standen auch 2x die Creme und die Tiramisu auf der Rechnung . Wieder kam eine Entschuldigung. Wenn das Essen noch gut gewesen wäre hätten wir ja alles noch mit Humor genommen.Aber 26 € für ein Gyros auf einer Pita geht garnicht. Von einem Edel Griechen sehr sehr weit entfernt.

I've never had such bad food for so much money. The gyro meat was never grilled but rather chopped neck chops. Totally fat-riddled meat. Gyros for 26 euros which then come to the table as a pita with a dollop of tomatoes and tzatziki. Who would have at least tasted it...

We came across “The Greek” by chance during our stay in Hamburg. Very nice restaurant, very comfortably furnished. The menu was manageable, but we found it very good because the food was freshly prepared and tasted very good. We were served very friendly, which of course also helped us feel very comfortable here. Highly recommended. We will come back.

Wir sind bei unserem Hamburgaufenthalt zufällig auf das "The Greek" gestoßen. Sehr schönes Restaurant, sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Überschaubare Karte, was wir aber sehr gut fanden, demn das Essen war frisch zubereitet und geschmacklich sehr gut. Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient, was natürlich auch dazu beigetragen hat, dass wir uns hier sehr wohlgefühlt haben. Sehr zu empfehlen. Wir werden wiederkommen.

Very friendly staff, The price was a joke for the portions (I wanted to eat something great and was very disappointed). Afterwards we had crepes and fried fish. The smell from outside (gully) was not pleasant

Leider sehr schlecht, Service überfordert, Chef ein selbstgefälliges….. , Karte sehr , sehr begrenzt, geschmacklich keine Sensation! Die Fischbude davor ist die deutlich bessere Wahl!

Vor einem Besuch in der Elphi wollten wir noch eine Kleinigkeit Essen. Das auf der Ecke liegende Lokal mit einem tollen Ambiente lud dazu ein. Dort angekommen wurde uns ein hübscher Platz zugewiesen. Ein sehr eloquenter Kellner nahm daraufhin die Bestellung auf. Es drängte sich hier schon das Gefühl auf, dass man enttäuscht war, dass nicht reichlich Vorspeise bestellt wurde. Tzaziki und eine extra Portion Pita wurde zum Salat wärmstens empholen und dann auch von uns bestellt. Das Essen kam. Der griechische Salat bestand aus maximal 2 geschnittenen Tomaten mit ein paar Gurkenscheiben und ein wenig Feta - alles wirklich erschreckend minderer Qualität. Darauf wurde ein wenig Pitabrot mit einem Klecks Tzatziki drapiert. Das Brot war leider noch minderwertiger als Salat und hatte noch nicht mal Discounterqualität. Der Tzatziki konnte nicht als ein solcher identifiziert werden. Das Gyros war leider kalt und darüber hinaus weder schmackhaft und kross, sondern entweder unapettitlich laff oder verbrannt. Nach der Frage, ob es geschmeckt hätte, haben wir versucht mitzuteilen, dass wir doch sehr irritiert über die Zutaten des griechischen Salaten gewesen seien. Dies wurde zu keinem Zeitpunkt zur Kenntnis genommen und ehr abgeriegelt. Wir haben von weiterem Austausch Abstand genommen und nach schneller Bezahlung das Restaurant verlassen..... das tolle Sinfonieorchester hat uns zwar entschädigt- the Greek hat aber einen bleibenden Eindruck hinterlassen... nie wieder...

Wirklich das Schlimmste, was ich je gegessen habe. Billige Lidl Ware 0 Qualität!! :-( Und das Unangenehmste: Der Chef und das gesamte Team Strotzt nur so vor Arroganz. Ehrlich... mit einem Griechen hat das alles hier nichts zu tun. Es ist eher eine Schande für die tollen anderen Griechen in Hamburg und Umgebung. Die Portionen waren extrem klein, total versalzen und alles ohne Gefühl für Gastlichkeit arrangiert. NIe nie wieder!!!!:-(((

Nice atmosphere, nice service staff, but the prices are completely out of proportion to the quality and quantity. Typical tourist rip-off... but I'm not a tourist and I certainly won't eat there again...

Unfortunately that was nothing! Were there for the soul kitchen evening with live music and buffet. The food was really a disgrace: gyros in a cold, untoasted hot dog bun, tzatiki and the other dips tasted like nothing. The burgers were unseasoned, the feta cheese tasted rancid, the cheese and salami looked like they came from a package - everything was incredibly carelessly put down. The only highlights were the focaccia and the nacho chips that came beforehand. Waiters friendly, but totally overwhelmed: even though we were sitting right at the counter, we had to wait a good 20 minutes until we had our beer (bottle). I don't give bad reviews lightly, but you really need to look into it again.

After looking at the menu, we consciously decided to only have one starter for two given such prices. Unfortunately, it wasn't really good and didn't actually taste like anything. Every waitress tried very hard. 👍 Too bad...

I had a 3-course meal, the starter was the best, I would have liked more of that. Main course was OK and dessert was good too. Unfortunately, the selection of long drinks and cocktails is also limited. Simply very expensive.

The food itself was okay - but really nothing more. Far from what one expected in terms of quality given the price. The service was very friendly - the only bright spot in the store ;-) The ambience is very nice. The pungent smell of sewage pipes, which appears in various reviews, is unfortunately a huge drawback! All in all, it was no surprise that we were the only guests on a Saturday afternoon…

Very expensive, the food was rather lukewarm and we didn't really understand the menu. Chicken souvlaki with tandoori chicken and coconut milk, tuna with yuzo etc is not authentic Greek cuisine for me. Maybe we didn't understand the concept either :D

Ambience good... service was very friendly.. food was anything but good... but it has nothing in common with the photos.. the chef has probably only been there for a short time... I know Greek cuisine differently... I've never had such unseasoned lukewarm food The food was put out and then they said that nothing was seasoned (salt/pepper) the guests didn't want that

For us it was a chance find and a really good one. The food was incredibly tasty and the service was top notch. We would like to thank the team for a very tasty evening. A steak on point. Sauces in which the shellfish were strongly flavored were a delight! Little super extra: Brownie with Tabasco and passion fruit ice cream. Keep it up, we'll be back.

We recently dined there and ordered steak. These steaks were cooked to perfection and very tender. In addition, the service was also very good. We would love to eat there again!

Even though we were a very large group, the service was great. Nothing was late and everyone was super friendly and attentive. The food was really tasty and the shop is super chic too... what more could you want... Absolutely recommended..

Cool restaurant with a diverse selection of dishes and good service. We enjoyed both the moussaka and the fish dish of the day very much and the service was great overall, very nice waiters. I personally could have wished for a slightly cozier atmosphere as the tables in the front area are a bit spartan, even if they are nicely decorated. Somehow the upper floor wasn't available, even though everything looked more comfortable there. Also, I imagined more eggplant in moussaka, but that's probably a matter of taste. Otherwise, the dishes on the plate are stylishly presented, you really feel like you're in a restaurant.

Had dinner there as a couple on a Saturday afternoon. The food was first class, starter (feta cream) was very tasty and beautifully presented. For the main course we had a platter for 2 with chicken, the meat was spot on and the rest was simply delicious. Unfortunately, we didn't find the service to be particularly good. The waiter was nice and friendly, but not trying hard. I sat at the table for a while with an empty glass. The restaurant was empty, we were basically the only guests, but we received very little attention. No question as to whether everything was/is OK or anything like that.

An absolutely recommended restaurant! The ambience invites you to linger. The service was always friendly and accommodating. The toilets were very clean and exceptionally attentive to hygiene. The food was really outstanding. Typical Greek cuisine like you get in Greece! All in all, staying at this upscale establishment was worth every penny!!

hübsches Restaurant,aber keine Atmosphäre Wir waren an einem Wochentag da und es waren nur sehr wenige Gäste anwesend, Die Speisekarte ist sehr übersichtlich,die Vorspeisen viel zu teuer. Wir bestellten insgesamt drei Vorspeisen und zwei Hauptgerichte,nichts konnte wirklich überzeugen,alles Speisen waren ohne Finesse zubereitet,trocken und langweilig. Die Preise dafür überdurschnittlich,man kriegt den Eindruck über den Tisch gezogen worden zu sein. Der Service ist bemüht,es wirkt aber alles sehr gezwungen... Dieses Restaurant ist wirklich nicht empfehlenswert...

Kulinarische Enttäuschung, sowie sehr schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Vorspeisen sehr kühl serviert; Hauptgang Fleisch uninspiriert mit Kartoffeln und einigen geschmorten Tomaten serviert; Fisch war schmackhaft, die Beilage Lauch jedoch zäh (habe die Hälfte zurück gehen lassen) und ohne weitere Beilage- Unsere Erwartungen vor dem Hintergrund einer Bewertung in einem Magazin sind exorbitant unterboten worden. Wir können diese Bewertung überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Der Service war betont freundlich und der Grund, weshalb wir unsere Kritik nicht vor Ort geäußert haben.

Wir waren heute zum Abendessen in The Greek. Es ist ein sehr stimmungsvolles Restaurant in einem alten Kontorhaus gegenüber der Landungsbrücken. Die Karte ist klein und bietet außergewöhnliches griechisches Essen und eine tolle Weinauswahl. Beleuchtung und Einrichtung sind gemütlich und Pano ein sehr herzlicher und aufmerksamer Kellner.

The Scam: The worst experience, i have ever had. Menus are too small, most of the items not available and available food was overpriced. On the menu card price was something els, and in person they were increasing the meal price. Food quality worst. Attention: Let me mention their scam so that no one will get catch in the same scam after reading. The price of meals is already overpriced in menu card, they increased the price of my meal on table by 10€. I agreed with the price. At the time of billing they added extra item (cost 12€), that i didn't order.. The Scam.

Πήγαμε πρώτη φορά περνώντας από το Αμβούργο η ποιότητα των φαγητών πολύ μέτρια τό κριθαρωτο πολύ αλμυρό τό μοσχάρι πολύ κακή ποιότητα ο καγιανας ήταν 2 αυγά μάτια με λουκάνικα τό μόνο ωραία ήταν η τυρόπιτα δεν αξίζουν αυτά που πληρώνεις για αυτή την ποιότητα φαγητών που σερβίρουν

Es ist ein Restaurant, in dem man sich rundum wohl fühlt. Eine fast schon familiäre Art und Weise an diesem Ort. Gewiss ist es etwas preisintensiver, aber der Service sowie auch die Qualität der Speisen und der Getränke, rechtfertigt das voll und ganz.

Einfach wieder fünf Sterne von uns für Euch 🫶🏼 Verdient in unseren Augen. Charmanter Kellner, tolle Empfehlungen beim Essen, einfach wieder ein Geschmackserlebnis

Einfach großartig! Sehr gute authentische griechische Küche. Hat nichts mit dem "normalen Deutsch-griechischen Restaurant" gemeinsam, stattdessen herrliches Seafood, gutes Lammfleisch, spannende Vorspeisen, richtig gute griechische Rotweine, super! Danke!!!

Ich war mit einer Freundin bei the Greek essen und wir waren beide begeistert. Tolles Ambiente, sehr geschmacksvolle Gerichte und leckere Aperitifs. Der Wein, der uns empfohlen wurde, passte sehr gut zum Steak. Bin positiv überrascht von dem großen Auswahl an Griechischen Weine. Der Inhaber (vermute ich) hat uns sehr freundlich und herzlich empfangen. Die Bedienung war auch sehr nett und kannte sich sehr gut mit dem Menü aus. Ich kann das Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. Weiter so!!!

Eten was lekker. Prijs acceptabel, maar de service slecht. Hoofdgerecht wordt 5 minuten na het voorgerecht al op tafel gezet. Dessert kaart duurt dan weer erg lang. Onvriendelijke ontvangst als je niet gereserveerd hebt. Drankjes zijn erg duur (€8,50 voor een glas heel gemiddelde wijn)

Hatten reserviert, saßen an dem Platz an direkt an der Küche War nicht schön und hektisch Preis Leistung ist gut, umgehauen hat uns das Essen aber nicht Bedienung war sehr freundlich

Tolles Restaurant, top Essen und hervorragender Service

Das Ambiente des Restaurantes war angenehm. Die Küche war offen und man konnte den Köchen zusehen. Auch die Bar sah nett aus. Den Service kann ich hier leider nur mit 2 Sternen bewerten, da zur Zeit meines Besuches die Küche überfordert war, was zu langen Wartezeiten geführt hat. Abgesehen davon war der Service jedoch soweit gut. Das größte Problem ist meiner Meinung nach jedoch das Essen gewesen. Als Vegetarier gab es genau ein Hauptgericht für mich, welches langweilig geschmeckt hat. Es war zwar nicht eklig aber für 14€ erwarte ich mir etwas mehr. Zuhause hätte ich mir nämlich auch Nudeln mit Pesto kochen können, was von der “Leckerheit” her auf einem Level mit diesen Griechischen Reisnudeln gewesen wäre. Es sei gesagt, dass mir durchaus bewusst ist, dass die Griechische Küche nicht unbedingt für ihre große Auswahl an vegetarischem Essen bekannt ist. Trotzdem bin ich etwas enttäuscht.

Mittags 30 Minuten aufs Essen gewartet, dabei gab es nur einen weiteren Tisch mit Gästen. Service freundlich aber lieblos. Essen war okay. Leider roch es bei den Toiletten stark. Das The Greek hat viel Potenzial, jedoch auch viel zu tun.

Edler Grieche abseits der üblichen Fleischplatten. Für unseren Geschmack jedoch leider eine gar zu kleine Speisekarte, auf der nicht für jede/n etwas dabei war, auch waren die Portionen sehr klein. Ambiente sehr schön und Service sehr freundlich. Geschmacklich ok.

Leider war das Essen bei allen 6 Personen fast ungewürzt, selbst das Tzaziki schmeckte nach fast nichts. Magenkrankenessen - schade. Dafür sind die Preise viel zu hoch.
