Luckily, Pano has persevered. After all the long years with the tunnel cover construction practically right on his doorstep, which must have cost him a lot of walk-in customers, it has now become a small idyll, even if it really doesn't look very impressive from the outside. You can sit outside in wonderful silence and not even begin to notice that the A7 motorway roars by 20 meters away as the crow flies. Inside, Pano is still Pano. A few things have aged, and not every dish is prepared as delicately as the next or could use a bit more seasoning, like the baked salmon with spinach - but the bottom line is that this is a good Greek restaurant. And Pano, with his special manner, and his friendly team always make a stay there a pleasure. So thank you for your perseverance, the Apollon simply belongs there.

The food was okay. The gyros were good, the bifteki had oil running out when cut, the tzatziki was way too spicy and the garlic was annoying, and they were fries, but everything was served hot.

I haven't been to Pano in at least 15 years and was surprised that nothing has changed. The gyro was bland and not tasty. It tasted like it had been cut in advance and then reheated later. It also didn't look fresh. It's a shame; I'll try it again in 10 years.

We just ate at Pano with five people, and I have to say, I've rarely been this satisfied. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was very friendly; we felt like we were with friends. The portions are enormous, so if you don't get full, you're doing something wrong. We'll definitely be back.

We were there for dinner. Host friendly and funny. Service quick and nice. Food: the bread and ajoli that come to the table before the meal are very tasty, the salad is ok. I had the gyros and bifteki, my husband had the baked gyros in cream sauce. Both dishes with delicious rice (we didn't want fries). My bifteki was good, the gyro was very tasteless, rather bland. The tzatziki had a "musty" taste (maybe oil?), I couldn't eat it. My husband's gyros wasn't a taste experience either, it was very bland. He wouldn't order it again. We are used to other seasonings from the Greeks. The portions were very large. It's a shame that we weren't impressed with the taste. Unfortunately I don't have any photos of the main courses. But visually they were as you would expect from the Greeks.

Once again the food was great. However, not all of the food was available. Can happen. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to only pay with cash. Especially when you have to switch to more expensive dishes. The ambience is getting old, but that doesn't detract from the experience.

The place makes a pretty unkempt impression. The building and interior are in need of renovation. The Christmas decorations were still hanging in March. The windows have definitely not been cleaned for a long time. The food was grade 3-. The service was ok, the staff friendly.

We had dinner with you the night before last. We had a short vacation in Hamburg and the Sylc. Hotel is short and close. We can definitely recommend you, good food and great service. We were at Pano's again. We always combine it with a visit to football. The store was really full. Nevertheless, Pano took the time to chat with us briefly. The food was really good, as always. We have been regular guests since the beginning, Tisch11. At 77 years old, Pano is a great host, the entire team including Aron (chef) are super friendly and the food is always plentiful, fresh and very tasty. Of course, Pano is just a person who sometimes has stress and isn't always there for you straight away. Where else can you get homemade bread and tzatziki? We cannot understand the negative comments and hope that our Pano continues for a long time.

The food was great and plenty of value for money! The service was very attentive. The atmosphere was a bit old, but it was clean and tidy - I can only recommend it and we will definitely go there again. But I would Booking a table in advance is always safer!

Pano... that's it! I've been eating at this restaurant for 30 years. Nothing has changed in the restaurant's inventory in 30 years. Pano has always been very special, but now the barrel is full and the last time we were there was over Christmas. The way Pano speaks to his regular customers, new customers and employees is no longer bearable. Food is now a lottery of luck, whether it tastes good or not. In Hamburg they say goodbye, but in this case goodbye!

Because of good stories, we went to eat there on December 25th, 24. We were warmly welcomed and the food was really delicious. But when we checked the bill the next day, we discovered that we had been foisted with a drink that we didn't have. There were three of us! That's intentional. That's why we'll never eat there again. If only every third group doesn't notice the mistake, they'll make a lot of extra money.

Were there for dinner on December 14th, 2024. It was a special experience... The boss himself greeted us personally and everything seemed very nice. We were greeted with ouzo and the salad was accompanied by very tasty bread with aioli. The main course was brought to the table ONLY by the boss. Unfortunately it took a little too long until all 7 people had their food. Overall, the food was really good and the prices were absolutely okay. Now to our special experience: 1. The fries (touted by the boss as the best in Hamburg) were rather average. The gyro was also over-seasoned.* *but it's also a matter of taste 2. When we asked us to order a taxi, we got the answer: We can try that ourselves. Which is what we did (out of town). 3. Cash only... so far so good. But we were allowed to calculate our share ourselves and pay it as one sum. Here too, illogical arguments from the boss. He's "alone" and doesn't have time for something like that. 4. The prices for the beer are not correct on the menu! When we brought this to the attention of the boss, he first received a half-baked explanation, then an offer to give us back the price difference. Left it there as a tip. Bottom line: Rustic atmosphere, generous with ouzo. Except for the fries and the gyros, very good food and value for money. There were also other very nice service staff on site, but they were explicitly only responsible for handing out cards and drinks. A special experience for me, which is why I probably won't come back.

We celebrated our Christmas party here. The atmosphere was great and the food was very good. Pano loves his restaurant and what he does, you can tell straight away. A great host. There were 23 of us and we all got our food at the same time within a few minutes. We would always check to see if there was anything else you wanted and if everything was okay. We would receive great service all around Thank you for the great evening.

It's nice to sit outside. There are nice salads. Pano is very nice. Lamb dishes are delicious.

No card payment possible, so we left straight away. In Plön you can pay for your kebab with a card. A shame for Hamburg. Re her answer. We didn't enter after reading the sign saying so.

I think the restaurant is fantastic! Maybe getting old, a special chef, no gourmet cuisine. Still a very pleasant restaurant experience. The aioli (which isn't supposed to be tzatziki) was super tasty, the fries were very tasty, the gyros weren't bad, the bread was delicious. We've been there a few times and have always been satisfied. Above all, it's warm and down-to-earth, but if you're not that way, you probably won't feel at home here.

Lived across the street for 2 years but never went based on what the neighborhood told us. Today we gave it a try. The food came very, very quickly (5 minutes)… That's how it tasted too. For my dish I wanted Metaxa sauce instead of tzatziki. Not possible - costs 3 euros extra. When paying, he (the boss) suddenly wanted €4. (For 2cl - see photo) When I tried to calmly explain to him that I thought it was cheeky, I was expelled from the store. We have eaten here more often in the last few years. We always thought - an idiosyncratic boss, but the price/performance ratio is right. Unfortunately, our last visit did the rest for us and finally scared us away. Pano almost intrusively asked for a tip (stood at the table with his hands open) - even though we were in the process of laying out tips. Our friend had smaller coins in her wallet and was looking for larger ones. Then she had to listen to: I don't want your change - you can keep it. Very rude. ;-( We're (unfortunately) not coming back...

The food was very tasty, meat was very tender and well seasoned. Apparently the ambience doesn't deter customers, as the store was packed around 8 p.m. Only cash payment possible!

Meine Frau und ich haben im „Apollon bei Pano“ letzten Sonntag zu Abend gegessen. Die Bitte meiner Frau eventuell außerhalb der Speisekarte einen kleinen gemischten Salat zu ihrem Saganaki zu bekommen wurde strikt abgelehnt. Meine Bestellung wurde vom Betreiber mit einem „ na Papa, was möchtest du denn“ aufgenommen, was ich schon recht befremdlich fand. Als das Essen dann serviert wurde, ging es mit den Enttäuschungen weiter. Meine Giros waren kalt, die Pommes dazu steinhart. Selbst das Tzaziki schmeckte nicht. Die Panade des Saganaki war geschmacklos. Und, und das war wirklich das erste Mal seit allen meinen Besuchen von griechischen Restaurants ever, es gab weder zur Begrüßung noch beim Begleichen der Rechnung ( nur Cash ) einen Uso aufs Haus. Wer griechisches Essen und griechische Gastfreundschaft genießen möchte , sollte um dieses Restaurant e8nen großen Bogen machen.

Although it doesn't look like it visually, you get really good food in generous portions at a fair price, served by a very nice staff, the boss himself mixes with his guests and looks after them, tells stories and entertains, the aioli is awesome, just like that the plate of Aphrodite🤤. Highly recommended. For me the best Greek place I've ever eaten at🤩🍻

This was our first time at Pano. During the long time with the construction site in front of his door, we admired his perseverance - but we didn't live in the neighborhood yet. Today - where we live nearby - it was time for the first visit. Pano and Maria (?) were super friendly, we were greeted as soon as we locked the bikes. The outside area is a bit thrown together and not super modern, but cozy. The guests are uncomplicated and “not fancy”. You can tell that the majority of people here are regular guests. The food was delicious, from bread with aioli to salad and main course. I was reminded of my Cretan family's cuisine - especially Grandma's cuisine. I have never eaten bifteki with such a filling outside of Greece. The lid over the highway and the great park will hopefully reward Pano for his steadfast perseverance during years of major construction and the pandemic. He and Maria won us over as guests today with their style. I don't like his decoration. Thank you very much for the great food and the nice summer evening and see you soon.

We have been coming to Pano regularly for about 15 years and have never been disappointed. A bit idiosyncratic furnishing style but the price-performance ratio is very good, ouzo is refilled free of charge, but Pano goes around with the bottle...

Never again !!! The boss should think about whether he is really allowed to treat his guests like that - today he lost two regular guests. A very unfriendly person. We've eaten here several times. Standard food, nothing special, but the price-performance ratio is right and we live around the corner. Fallen in as a tourist in Hamburg. The reviews were 4.1 stars - so it's worth a try. The interior is a trauma from the 70s and hasn't been renovated since. You don't let that deter you if the rest were right. But he doesn't, service was a gamble at the whim of the boss. The food is seasoned or the second dish has no spices at all (gyros with Metaxa sauce without any taste). Positive: it feels like the prices for the food are fair, but it doesn't matter if it doesn't really taste good. The Hamburg regulars may insult me, but that had absolutely nothing to do with Greek cuisine.

Addendum: In the meantime we were guests at Pano again, sat outside in good weather and everything was great. The bread with garlic dip was also significantly better than on the first visit! _____________________________________________ We have been living in the neighborhood for a short time and were there for the first time. We would actually never have gone in from the outside, but in the end our curiosity about one of the few restaurants in the area and, given the poster, the best tzatziki ever prevailed. ;-) With Pano you actually have to evaluate two things separately. The food and hospitality: - great hospitality, very nice staff and even before the meal we had an ouzo - First of all, as is often mentioned here, there was bread and garlic dip / aioli - but the bread was simply baked ciabatta from the market (it tasted good, but wasn't that great homemade flatbread that everyone here writes about?) and the dip was already there for a while, so it looked a bit rancid at the top. Unsightly! The dip itself tasted extremely and almost pungently like garlic and was very fatty. Don't know if we caught the "Monday edition"? At least we haven't gotten any foodborne illnesses so far, but to be on the safe side we've only tried a few things. - Afterwards, the food was overall absolutely delicious. Can really recommend! - After the main course there was simply no service, although we would have liked to have dessert - but that may depend on the day. - Dessert came when we asked: surprisingly delicious ice cream! I wouldn't have thought so, because usually when there's only vanilla and chocolate it's the cheapest discount ice cream with an artificial consistency - that was definitely not the case and I would order it again, even if there was a lot of spray cream on it. Regardless of this, the restaurant itself should be evaluated: - As can be seen from the previous reviews, the furnishings are clearly showing their age and reminded me of the typical Greek restaurants of my childhood. As you can see from the pictures here from years ago, even the Christmas decorations have apparently been put up all year round for years. That alone is not automatically a negative point for us! Makes the whole thing very quaint. - Please definitely improve: Unfortunately, the abundant furnishings/decoration are partly dirty. This was particularly visible in the lamp above our table, which was covered in a thick layer of dust. This shouldn't be the case and is unfortunately reminiscent of the show "Kitchen Nightmares" - knowing this show, you unfortunately get a little worried about what the kitchen will look like! We can't and don't want to judge that, but the external impression makes a lot of difference, which is why we would recommend cleaning the entire restaurant thoroughly, e.g. B. old and faded artificial plants and occasionally Christmas decorations (e.g. from January to November) should be removed. The overall impression would be much “cleaner”, friendlier and more modern! - A big plus point: I think the restaurant has benefited enormously from the motorway tunnel. This makes the outdoor area much more attractive than with an "open" motorway and I can well imagine sitting and eating there in the summer evenings. For reasons that are now understandable, I prefer not to have my full name in all Google reviews, so I won't mention it here in case the question comes up (see the restaurant's comments on other reviews). No matter who is writing this, the aspects I mentioned are still interesting for all customers, formulated constructively and easily improved, so I don't think there is any reason to address them personally. We will come back and hope that the above mentioned Criticism that might make the experience even better in the future!

I have experienced much better Greek restaurants. Unfortunately, this one was a disappointment. What was really delicious was the homemade baguette that you received as a welcome. Afterwards, my companion and I were unfortunately disappointed. The meat was tough and dry and unfortunately the tzatziki has nothing to do with tzatziki at all. The highlight was the payment at the end. There were three of us and we each wanted to pay for ourselves. The owner threw the receipt on the table and told us to figure it out on our own. I wouldn't want to come back again.

The landlord is very friendly. The atmosphere is a bit worn out. But the food really takes some getting used to. This homemade tzatziki was super oily and salty, and the beautiful fillet was paper-thin and rock-hard. The cherry on top is the coffee afterwards: we don't have anything like that, just powder with hot water. It's a shame: the location is ideal, no direct competition, there is still so much room for improvement

After returning from vacation we wanted to eat something at 9 p.m. Without greeting us, the landlord told us that it looked bad because the kitchen was closing. My reference to the opening time was acknowledged with: Google doesn't care - he's the boss and he's in charge. Luckily there are other restaurants nearby that we used. The restaurant was busy at 9 p.m. and we didn't feel welcome.

Very dated restaurant, could use a refresh. Before the entrance we were immediately informed by the boss that card payments were not possible and directed us to an ATM...this is no longer acceptable these days. The plates at the bottom of the chairs are coming loose, I hurt my nails when I sat down, and the cleanliness could also be better taken care of. The food was plentiful, you were full, the taste wasn't really good and the serving could be improved. The service was good until we ordered, but after we asked several times, the empty dishes were cleared away, and then the service also became poor. We and our friends were the only guests and often went to the counter to order more drinks and dessert. Unfortunately I can't recommend this Greek restaurant 👎Price/performance doesn't fit.

Sehr enttäuschend...! Die Begrüßung war semi freundlich, mehr vorwurfsvoll als alles andere, was bilden wir uns ein, fast 2 Stunden vor Feierabend noch aufzutauchen, zumal der Laden leer war. Dann werden wir mit konsequenter Nichtachtung bestraft, bei der Aufgabe der Bestellung, sowohl als auch zwischen durch. Es kam wie üblich, Aioli mit Brot vorweg, dann wurden wir gefragt, ob wir mehr Brot haben möchten, welches wir bejaht haben. Das Brot ( 3 dünne Scheiben ) kam auch mit der Aussage "mehr Brot habe er nicht". Entschuldigung, immerhin wurden wir gefragt. Sobald kam dann auch das Essen, Lammfilet mit Pfeffersosse welches Lauwarm war und Gyros mit Käse überbacken, dass man kaum essen konnte, ohne sich alles zu verbrennen. Als wir nun mit Essen fertig waren, ohne einmal gefragt worden zu sein, ob alles ok ist oder wir noch einen Wunsch hätten ( eine Selters wäre klasse gewesen ), haben wir den Chef gebeten, den Rest bitte einzupacken. Die Antwort war, ein Schnaufen mit Augenrollen und eine absolut abwertende Geste. Nun, der Chef drehte sich um und liess uns ohne ein weiteres Wort sitzen. 4 Versuche später, Aufmerksamkeit zu erhaschen, um denn unsere Rechnung zu bezahlen, kam der Chef endlich zu unsrem Tisch. Missmutig und schlecht gelaunt, nahm er denn das Essen mit um es doch einzupacken. Wir bezahlten und bekamen weder ein danke noch sonst irgendeine freundliche Geste oder Wort. Das war definitiv das letzte Mal, dass wir da waren. Traurig!

The restaurant was very busy. The request to serve an appetizer platter for several people was not fulfilled. Each entree dish was served separately. The main courses were brought to the table quickly. The quality was good. We are not regulars and this difference was noticeable.

A nice, rustic, Greek restaurant in Hamburg/Stellingen with excellent cuisine. The landlord is very hospitable and generous. There was often an extra ouzo and the greeting from the kitchen (a kind of garlic cream with fresh flatbread) was also very delicious. A very good price-performance ratio and we always felt very comfortable here during our 3 years in Hamburg. Nettes, griechisches Restaurant in Hamburg Stellingen. Wir waren als Team zur Weihnachtsfeier dort und waren super zufrieden. Nettes Personal und super leckeres Essen. Allerdings ist das Restaurant schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber wie oben schon beschrieben, hat das keine Auswirkung auf Service oder das Essen Ich komme mit Sicherheit nochmal zum Essen.
