The Bacchus restaurant in Bergedorf offers delicious food, but the service falls far short of expectations. The reception was unobtrusive, but the service overall was mediocre to poor. The pay was particularly disappointing: Wrong prices were charged, sometimes even €10 more per dish than stated in the menu. When asked, no insight was shown at first. Such incidents are an absolute no-go. It's a shame, because the good taste of the food is ultimately marred by the poor quality of service and the questionable pricing. With a group of 11 people, there's a lot going on.

We were there for lunch today at 12:00 p.m./2nd Advent. The waiter was unfriendly and coughing and sniffling, the young man behind the bar was listless and had headphones in his ear. The food was miserable, everything seemed like it was from yesterday and reheated. For 3 people €98, there wasn't even an Uzo or something similar, as you would expect from a good Greek = Conclusion: 1x and never again and not recommended in any way. Oh yes - there were 2 small children at the next table (there were only 3 tables occupied in total, so it couldn't have been due to stress), the mother wanted 2 children's chairs, that was too much for the waiter. :-(

It's been one of my regular restaurants for many years, so it can't be that bad 🤣 you know each other and accept each other as you are + most weekends there is lamb fillet, lamb souvlaki and shrimp in the feeding trough+ Please keep it up, it's fine 🤝

The staff is just unfriendly. The quality of the food is more like a bad snack bar.

Very nice restaurant with very good food, the service was attentive and friendly.

First of all: Anyone who thinks they can eat classic Greek here should stay away from this idea and/or this location. Had a long day and were looking forward to typical variations of Greek Mediterranean cuisine. The first time I became suspicious was when I noticed that none of the employees knew even one word of Greek (guess Pakistani or Indian). The second time I tried to order a pita and was replied "We don't have that" From then on it was clear to me that I had to approach the matter with different expectations. So I gave it a chance. Result: a mixture of disappointment and surprise. Not only was the food below average (edible but far from good), it had absolutely nothing to do with Greek cuisine other than the name. If the whole thing wasn't called Bacchus and looked like an exhibition catalog of run-of-the-mill Greek restaurants (including the menu), I would be a little more tolerant. If you take it with humor it's "quite nice", but that's it. A large part of the food tasted as if the chef had been hired for inclusion reasons and someone who had seen a picture of Greece had been sent to buy ingredients at Metro. REACTION TO OWNER COMMENT: Neither aioli, nor coriander, nor baguette Haber even remotely (Specifically: around 2800km from Lisbon where there is aioli to Athens where you eat garlic pita) ANYTHING to do with Greek cuisine and your extremely outrageous comment that accuses me of discrimination is of about as far from reality as the ingredients you use in your "Greek" cuisine are from Greece The Greek "recipes" according to which they prepare their food would probably drive a chef who masters the small 1x1 of Greek cuisine to suicide. Instead of accusing me of lacking backbone because I value my privacy, you could use this review as an opportunity to rethink your gastronomic concept. Another explanation for their culinary rodeo would be that they have a Greek captive on a chain in the kitchen who is trying to send requests for help using the dishes. Instead of completely trashing you in terms of ratings, I'll try to act a little humorously.

Has nothing to do with Greek food If you want traditional Greek cuisine, I strongly advise you not to visit this place! I was more than just disappointed.

Ordered food at 7 p.m., it finally arrived at 7:30 p.m. The potato chips were sticky and, like the gyros, only lukewarm, but the tzatziki was already well warmed. The gyro was quite oily, as if it had been pan-fried and not freshly cut from the spit. Ordered once and not again,

I have been visiting this restaurant for many years or getting something to go for the upcoming lunch. This also applies to this WE (gyros in cream sauce with penne). When I wanted to eat the food the next day I noticed that there was no (!) gyro meat in the food, just some short-fried meat in cubes. The sauce was also prepared differently than usual (including pieces of pepper that don't belong there) and wasn't tasty at all for me! It seemed to me as if leftovers were being processed. After thinking about it for a long time, I made my way to the restaurant with my food. Just to find out whether my favorite dish would always taste like this in the future. The waiter didn't respond to my criticisms at all, but just kept repeating that it was a cream sauce. This resolved my complaint on his part. Vegetables, very boring sauce, missing gyros... it doesn't matter. By the way, the boss at the back of the restaurant only looked around the corner once and then quickly disappeared again. Conclusion: There is still a lot of room for improvement in terms of complaint management. Very unfortunate

Unfortunately not very tasty! I had a bifteki. The Befteki was barely filled with cheese! (just a few cheese crumbs) and looked like it wasn't homemade. I also discovered a few arteries while eating, which didn't look very tasty! Unfortunately we had picked up the food otherwise it would have been returned! We won't go there anymore!

Very clean, including the toilets. Food always delicious. Staff very friendly and possible without a table reservation. There are seating options outside and inside.

What should you write! Nothing half and nothing whole. Indians or Pakistanis who offer Greek cuisine. In terms of taste, it's in the middle of the pack. It's cheap but not really Greek in terms of seasoning.

It was our first visit to the restaurant, as our two other Greek restaurants are unfortunately no longer there🥺. We liked it, the food tasted good. Portion sizes were optimal, we had enough to eat and didn't take anything home with us. But the service wasn't that attentive, as it took a while for the food to arrive. But still within limits.

During our last stay in Hamburg we stayed with friends nearby. One evening we didn't miss the opportunity to come here for dinner. And it was worth it. Everything was very tasty and the service was also good. :)

It used to be very good. The food wasn't particularly good either.

Generally ok. Accessibility is good, everything is clean and well-kept, the prices are reasonable, the portions are relatively large and the food is ok. The service was friendly, but unfortunately we were forgotten after the first round of drinks and at some point we ended the evening with empty glasses, although we would definitely have liked to drink a beer or two. This can be better 😉.

Netter Empfang. Helle und schöne Einrichtung. Gute Karte für Speis und Trank. Tip Warsteiner Herb von Fass. Leckere frische Speisen. Salate immer frisch zubereitet. Gyros und Lamm sind meine Favoriten.

The meat main courses were really good! Large portions and good quality meat according to the taste. The lamb, pork and beef were each grilled to perfection and tender, without any tough pieces. As with most Greeks, the choice of vegetarian dishes is very limited and the starters and service weren't really outstanding either. However, if you want to fill up on a large selection of delicious meat dishes, the restaurant is still highly recommended!

I wanted to look at the website to see if it was suitable for me. Without (tracking) cookie acceptance, it doesn't work. Ergo, not interesting to me. Do I have to allow tracking cookies to spy on me for a year to see what it's like locally?

Typisch griechisches Essen, Atmosphäre ist nett

Nettes Restaurant, Essen sehr lecker, aber der Service geht besser. Keine Nachfrage nach Getränken, obwohl man ne ganze Weile mit leeren Gläsern sitzt. Zu Beginn der Woche sehr leer.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Das Fleisch sehr gut gebraten und das Lamm kann man einfach nicht besser hinbekommen. So wie es sein muss. Großes Lob! Leider kam das Essenviel zu schnell nach der Vorspeise und das Ambiente im Bereich wo alles aus Glas ist leidet sehr. Man sitzt zwischen Vorder- und Hintereingang. Etwas weiter hinten sitzt man bestimmt besser und „traditioneller“

Sehr leckeres Essen und reichhaltige Portionen. Kann ich als Griechen im Raum lohbrügge nur empfehlen.

Nettes Ambiente, aber nur wenn man drinnen sitzt. Service emotionslos. Essen war bis zum bifteki wie man es vom Griechen gewohnt war nur das bifteki hat nach abgestandenen Hackfleisch gestunken. Keine Empfehlung wenn man die Personen gern hat.

Vor einem Jahr: Das Fleisch war gut gegart. Das kleine Hacksteak schmeckte merkwürdig und ich habs liegen gelassen. Der Beilagensalat war Witz. Ein paar Stücke Eisbergsalat, je ein Stück Tomate und Gurke, ein Tropfen Dressing. Als Dessert gibt's einfach Eis, lieblos angerichtet oder Tiramisu... Echt griechisch!? Ein Jahr später: Der Beilagensalat immer noch recht einfach. In manchen Imbissen besser. Das Gyros war zu salzig. Tzaziki offenbar mit Quark gemacht. Das Ambiente ist OK, die Belegschaft freundlich. Aber es ist eben nur 'Küche nach griechischer Art'!

Fleisch war hervorragend gegrillt!

Nach Renovierung modernes Lokal, griechische Elemente ohne ChiChi mit aufmerksamer Bedienung und gutem Service, in das man Gerne kommt. Wenn ich allerdings "grichische Spezialitäten" lese, suche ich Kleftiko, Stifafo und Moussaka. Leider auch hier vergeblich. So leider nur ein "Grieche" wie zu viele andere auch. Update 27.02.22 Inhaberwechsel? Wäre dann nicht hilfreich gewesen. Ein Lokal dessen Service mit den Stammgästen und "take away" so überfordert ist, daß man zunächst komplett übersehen wird, nach 15 Minuten eine Karte vorgeknallt bekommt und dann keine Zeit ist, den Getränkewunsch abzufragen, sollte vlt sein Konzept überdenken. Update 19.07.23 Selten bekommt ein "Lokal" eine dritte Chance. Heute haben wir, mangels anderer Gelegenheit, zur Lieferung bestellt. Lauwarmes, zähes Giros, geschmackloser Reis mit einem Löffel Tomaten??, Bifteki bei dem der Käse nicht auffiel, Salat ohne Dressing. Einziger Lichtblick die wirklich guten Pommes. Alles in Allem: drei mal bestellt: erstes, einziges und damit letztes Mal.

Mega gefreut auf tolles griechisches Essen. Wollte mal wieder knuspriges Giros essen ohne viel schnickschnack. Habe extra gefragt ob es knusprig und gut durch ist. Wurde bejaht. Bekommen habe ich dann eher größere, recht fettige teils noch rosa-farbende Fleischbrocken. Tzaziki zudem leider total versalzen. Service eher etwas freundlos...Echt schade - war früher mal ein gutes Restaurant...

Die Bedingung ist sehr nett, zuvorkommend, Essen lecker und viel. Atmosphäre hell und gemütlich.

Das Essen war super lecker, die Portion war groß, die Preise sind angemessen und man kann schön draussen sitzen (da könnte man es allerdings noch etwas gemütlicher gestalten). Da werde ich jetzt öfter essen gehen

Für uns ist das kein griechisches Essen. Man kann es essen (ich würde für das Essen 3 von 10 Punkten vergeben), ist aber höchstens nur vom Namen her griechisch. Personal war zuvorkommend und freundlich. Atmosphäre ist eher mit einem Foodcourt Restaurant zu vergleichen.

Habe zum 2 ten mal über Lieferando bestellt und muss sagen das es eine wirklich sehr gute Qualität hat,das Essen. Das Fleisch super gewürzt , wirklich lecker. Lieferzeit völlig in Ordnung. Portions Größe super . Absolut lecker und ich hätte auch 6 Sterne gegeben. Weiter so ..( Achilleon und Bachhus besten Griechen in Bergedorf )

Ich habe selbst im Urlaub in Griechenland, auf Kreta, nicht so lecker gegessen wie dort. Super Qualität, viel zu große Portionen und sehr freundliches aufmerksames Personal. Wir kommen garantiert wieder.

Hier stimmt alles: das Essen ist sehr gut, der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente stimmt auf Griechenland ein. Unbedingt empfehlenswert.

Bin mit meiner Frau erst nach drei Jahren im dem Restaurant und sind wir sehr angenehm überrascht, die Qualität der Speisen hat sich sehr gebessert, toi toi toi weiter so .

Donnerstagabend, Kinobesuch gerade beendet und noch etwas Zeit. So begann unser Besuch des Restaurant Bacchus. Außer uns ist eine kleine Abendgesellschaft anwesend, eine illustre Runde. Die Gaststätte ist sauber, der Kellner sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend - der erste Eindruck ist schon mal gut. Zum Auftakt gibt’s einen Ouzo, sehr wohlschmeckend, für mich. Geschmack ist so eine Sache und ich kann natürlich nicht für andere sprechen. Der Konstantinos-Teller ist sehr zu empfehlen, man muss aber gehörigen Appetit mitbringen, um den zu schaffen. Ich habe mir den Rest einpacken lassen, denn das reicht getrost morgen noch mal. Flüssignahrung gab’s in Form eines König Ludwig Dunkel - vom Fass. Auch sehr lecker. Rundum zufrieden und mit einem Ouzo zum Abschluss, ging es dann nach Hause. Vielen Dank für die gute Bewirtung! Wir können das Restaurant Bacchus ruhigen Gewissens empfehlen.

Wir haben hier wiederholt sehr gut gegessen! Egal ob als Paar, mit Familie oder mit unserem kleinen Sohn: Wir sind immer gut aufgenommen worden. Service u Essen sind für einen Griechen überdurchschnittlich. Seit dem Umbau vor einiger Zeit hat das Lokal weiter gewonnen. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Kellner höflich, schwer verständlich, da starker Akzent Ouzo izz da, gab´s zur Begrüßung Salat war vorbereitet, kam innerhalb einer Minute Triefte vor fertigem Balsamico-Dressing (kaum Krautsalat) Bestellte Vorspeise, gebratene Peperoni (zu teuer für die Menge) + Brot und Dip lecker Hauptspeise Gyros: Knorpellastig, Tsatsiki nicht geil, Kartoffelecken mit Luft gefüllt dienten als Pommes Hauptspeise Mykonos-Teller: Lamm = gute Qualität, perfekt gebraten; Rind = Durchschnittsqualität für 20€, sehnig nicht weich, Jungbulle; Pute = liegen gelassen, da kein Hunger mehr; Pommes siehe oben Portionen normal groß sehr sehr wenig Gäste an einem Donnerstagabend Tische glichen einem Imbiss (kaum Deko, lieblos) Rechnung kam als Eine, wurden nicht gefragt wie wir bezahlen wollten Einmal und nie wieder....

Vorspeisensalat eine Katastrophe, Balsamicodressing aus der Flasche, null Krautsalat, Gyros mehr geschnetzelt als Fleischstücke, fettig, Hacksteaks nur ungewürzte Frikadelle, zum Schluß ein Ouzo, beim Einschenken hält der Kellner den Daunen auf den Ausgießer, damit er nicht schon vorher kleckert, ungeschultes Personal. Nie wieder zum Bacchus...

Ein schönes und modernes Ambiente. Sehr nettes Personal und immer offen für ein Extra. Speisen für jeden Geschmack, auch vegetarisch. Mehrere Biere vom Fass und abwechslungsreiche Weinkarte. Preise absolut okay.

Wenn man nach langer Zeit im außereuropäischen Ausland mal wieder einen deutschen Griechen besucht, erwartet man etwas Besonderes. Die Dekoration des Restaurants ist schön (aber merke: eine tolle Dekoration spiegelt sich oft im Preis wider) und das Personal ist zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Leider kann aber das Essen nicht mithalten. Die üblichen kalten griechischen Vorspeisen sind schmackhaft und in Ordnung. Allein die Hauptgerichte (Fischplatte und Lammteller) bleiben hinter den Erwartungen zurück. Gibt es in der griechischen Küche keine Kräuter, keinen Knoblauch? Wenn man Lamm (18,90€) und Meeresfrüchte (22,90€) (wenn auch von guter Qualität) einfach nur brät, kann man geschmacklich nichts Interessantes erwarten. Und am Ende kommt dann ein Preis heraus (Mineralwasser 5,80€ !), der 20% über den Preisen anderer griechischer Restaurants, die geschmacklich Bemerkenswerteres bieten, liegt. Schade.

Wir waren im neuen Bacchus, es war ein schöner Abend zu 4. Das neue Ambiente ist einfach toll, es wirkt alles viel Größer jetzt. Nette Bedienung und super leckeres Essen wie immer. Einfach nur zu empfehlen.

Im Bacchus hat der Pächter gewechselt. Nun sind junge Leute am Start. Auch wenn einer der Inhaber indischer Abstammung ist, so ist der zweite Inhaber (der Koch) echter Grieche und ebenfalls der Kellner. Beide haben Küche und Restaurant von Grund auf renoviert. Neben einer Komplettrenovierung der Küche, wurde auch das gesamte Restaurant neu gemacht. Dazu gehören nicht nur alle Wände, die eine neue Gestaltung erhielten, ein neuer Fußboden im gesamten Restaurant, neue Tische usw. Auch bei den Gerichten hat sich einiges getan und ich kann nur sagen, das Lammkaree war ein einziges Gedicht. Achja, eine neue Speisekarte gibt es auch und die neue Webseite soll in wenigen Tagen folgen

Der Laden wird immer dreckiger, das essen immer teurer (Hacksteak 12,90 ......), und die Bewirtung untauglich und unfreundlich. Für Hundebesitzer Null geeignet. Da geh ich lieber zu Parga, supernett, alles frisch, TOP
