Wir waren in der Taverne Rieger und sind begeistert! Das Essen war frisch, lecker und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Die Portionen sind großzügig und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt absolut. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der freundliche und aufmerksame Service – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Das gemütliche Ambiente lädt zum Verweilen ein. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können die Taverne Rieger nur weiterempfehlen!

War zum essen hier, nicht zum übernachten, daher kann ich nichts zu den Zimmern sagen. Die Bedienungen sind alle super auf zack, gleichzeitig aber höflich und sehr lieb. Mein Essen (auf dem Foto) war auch richtig lecker, perfekt abgeschmeckt! Einen kleinen Abzug gibt's leider fürs Essen meines Verlobten, der es ok fand, ihm aber meins dennoch besser geschmeckt hat. Der Standort ist nicht ganz so zentral, aber dennoch sehr gut zu finden und Parken sollte wirklich kein Problem sein. Wir saßen dieses Mal drinnen, aber der Außenbereich schaut wirklich sehr einladend aus. Wir kommen gerne wieder 😊 (und eine kleine Randinfo: selten ein so sauberes WC gesehen!)

Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet, das Personal sehr freundlich und immer mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht. Es ist jedes Mal eine Freude, hierher zu kommen. Wir empfehlen es von Herzen weiter!

Das Essen war wirklich hervorragend! Beim Ambiente fehlte mir ein wenig die Atmosphäre, das lag aber hauptsächlich an den verschieden farbigen und hellen Leuchten.

Netter Grieche im Regensburger Süden. Mal ganz was anderes. Großes Gastzimmer, gute Küche, schön angerichtetes Essen, Nachspeise war auch sehr lecker. Preise sind normal und ortsüblich. Nette, freundliche, aufmerksame Bedienung.

Das Essen war ok und man wird sicher satt, aber halt irgendwie das Gleiche was es vor 30 Jahren schon beim Griechen gab: Riesige Fleischportionen, viel frittiertes, dann die immer gleichen 5-6 Vorspeisen... ist jetzt nicht wirklich schlimm, denn gibt ja offensichtlich genügend Leute, die diese "Tradition" zu schätzen wissen, aber wir hatten uns irgendwie modernere Ansätze gewünscht.

Die Taverne Rieger ist für uns jedes Mal ein kleines Stück Zuhause. Man wird immer herzlich empfangen und fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen. Die Atmosphäre ist familiär und man merkt einfach, mit wie viel Liebe hier gearbeitet wird. Das Essen ist jedes Mal frisch, vorzüglich und unglaublich lecker – wir wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Absolute Empfehlung!

Haben bisher das Gyros, das Bifteki & die Aubergine probiert. Es ist alles wirklich sehr sehr lecker. Das Zaziki schmeckt auch perfekt & der Salat ist auch total gut. Hervorzuheben ist, dass die ganze Familie wirklich mehr als freundlich ist. Das Restaurant ist wirklich zu empfehlen.

Waren mit 8 Personen nach vorheriger Reservierung beim Essen. Parkplätze direkt vorm Haus. Ambiente wirkt angestaubt, war früher halt einen klassisches Wirtshaus, wer griechisches Flair erwartet ist hier falsch. Die Vielzahl von feinen und frisch zubereiten Vorspeisen ob warm oder kalt, sowie die Hauptgerichte Entschädigen dafür. Bedienung immer aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Einen Ouzo gab's noch zum Abschluss 😄. Preis Leistung ist völlig in Ordnung.

We went to the Rieger tavern in Oberisling in the evening. On the recommendation of the waitress, who is also the restaurant's daughter, we ordered an elderberry and passion fruit shovel which came with ice cream and fresh mint. The starter was grilled pepperoni with olive oil and garlic pita. The main course was calamari gyros and gyros with fries, which I think were homemade. The portions were generous and we had another ouzo afterwards. I have to say the price-performance ratio was great and the hosts were a nice, friendly family. We will of course come again.

An absolute insider tip for anyone who loves authentic Greek cuisine! I'm particularly enthusiastic about the zucchini fritters – crispy on the outside, wonderfully moist on the inside. The pita gyro is also perfectly seasoned and incredibly delicious. The dolmades have a great balance of spice and freshness. And the dakos is a real highlight – wonderfully aromatic and typically Cretan. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is pleasantly relaxed. I'll be back again and again!

One of the best—or maybe even the best—Greek restaurants I've ever been to. First, the space: We ate outside, the ambiance was very nice, and the outdoor area was also beautifully decorated (plants, signs with slogans, etc.). Unfortunately, the restaurant is right on the street, which might bother some people. I didn't mind, as it allowed me to spot some exciting cars (2 Porsches, 1 Corvette, etc.). Now, the food: The food was excellent! The fries were homemade (like everything else) with very good seasoning (herbs, etc.) and very fresh! The gyro was just as fresh and well-seasoned and perfect! Not too dark, not too light—just perfect. The calamari was also excellent. You could taste that it was fresh and not frozen. The bifteki was absolutely the best bifteki I've ever eaten! It was really nicely spicy and smoky, perfect! The salad was also very good and had a delicious dressing. Vinegar and oil were also available on the table for seasoning. Afterwards, everyone who wanted a very good, cold ouzo was given a free glass. Those who didn't want ouzo were given a shot of passion fruit juice instead. The service was also very friendly and accommodating. Overall, 10/5 stars! We'll definitely be back!

The service was very friendly and quick, the food was good, the side salad had nothing to do with Greek for me; I can get that in any Bavarian restaurant, but it still had a very tasty dressing, but just not suitable for a Greek restaurant for my taste. I found the portion size very manageable.

We went to the tavern (in the "Greek" dining room) for the first time last night. We received a very warm welcome. The service was very friendly and attentive. We ordered Manouri and Kolokithokeftedes (fried balls of creamy zucchini mixture) as starters and Zuzukakia (very spicy minced meatballs) in tomato sauce with cinnamon and chicken skewers with fries with oregano as main courses. All dishes were of excellent quality and the salad served with it was super fresh. We will definitely visit the restaurant a few more times and can highly recommend it, not least because of its authentic Greek cuisine and the cozy atmosphere (at least in the "Greek dining area").

Everything was super delicious. The food was stuffed, we ordered stuffed peppers, a starter plate with shrimps and anchovies, every starter that was on the menu was on the plate I highly recommend coming and testing 👍👍😋

The drinks will only be brought after approx. 20 minutes. The food is cold, at most lukewarm and is absolutely overpriced for the portion and quality. The “Greek” decor is almost non-existent!

Due to some positive reviews, we "tried out" the Taverne Rieger in Oberisling this evening: We had reserved a table for 3 people, the restaurant was not at full capacity around 7:00 p.m. despite being Saturday evening, which makes a 20 minute wait for 3 drinks unacceptable. The restaurant's interior is old and uncomfortable, no matter, we were looking forward to two gyros/calamari and one piperies (peppers with minced meat and potatoes): The piperies tasted good, but unfortunately they were warmed up in the microwave. The gyros calamari is a no go: the side salad has nothing in common with Greek cuisine, the ready-made dressing with mustard simply tastes disgusting. The lukewarm gyro was more reminiscent of a warmed up pan gyro, the calamari lacked breading. Price with 3 drinks 64.60 euros, for the Greek dish 13.50 euros ok. Unfortunately not worth a cent for gyros/calamari at 18.90 euros each. The young ladies in service were very helpful and friendly. Conclusion: We'd rather stick with the "old tried and tested" and wait longingly for the come back in Stadtamhof ;-)

Taste is standard at best, higher prices with rather sparse portions. Nice hosts, very concerned about the well-being of the guests. However, the menu didn't encourage me to order. Tomato rice - as is common in Greek restaurants in this country - is not available as a side dish here, only pita bread and home-made French fries (since these do not arrive crispy at the guest's doorstep, this was probably more of a wish than the idea). The side salad was served on the same plate with the warm main course, so that the salad dressing ran into the meat. Three stars for the attentive service; other Greeks in the district do better with the food. Even emphasizing a hundred times that everything is freshly made doesn't make any difference.

Grabbed something for dinner today for the first time since it reopened. There was nothing to complain about at all. It was all really tasty. The dishes were well seasoned and not overly seasoned. The salad had a reasonable dressing and not, as is often the case, just vinegar and oil. Gyros as it should taste, calamari nice and tender. Portions were decent. I would say service was charming 😉 This makes for a very clear recommendation. I'd love to do it more often now... it would be nice if it stayed that way...

This evening we went to the Rieger Tavern for the first time. We were immediately welcomed by the extremely nice lady and served very courteously. In short, without making any big novels, we are thrilled. On my long gyros journey, I have to admit that this is the absolute best gyros around. We'll definitely be back very soon.

Yesterday, based on a recommendation, I went to this restaurant, which was newly taken over in August/September 2024, and as a Greek woman I can recommend it highly. Every dish is freshly prepared with love and knowledge from a wide variety of Greek regions. We enjoyed zucchini balls, spicy feta cream, eggplant cream, tzatziki, eggplant baked in the oven with cinnamon tomato sauce, grilled calamari and, for dessert, the orange cake. The wine offered was also good. I'm glad to have found such brilliant Greek cuisine in Regensburg, as I've only been impressed by one restaurant here so far. So I'm looking forward to the next few times when I can try out the menu further. You can go alone, as a couple or with a large group, there is enough space and everyone is welcomed very attentively. Friendly service and delicious, always fresh food

It was our first time in the Rieger tavern. The food from starter, main course and dessert was very tasty and everything was freshly prepared. A very warm family business, everyone helps ;) We would be happy to come back.

Compared to most of the other "Greeks" nearby, the food in the tavern in Oberisling is really leagues better. VERY fresh and delicious! The service is also super nice and puts their heart and soul into the matter. However, the portions are definitely too small for me. In order to fill ourselves up, we had to order a plate of fries...the neighboring table had the same thing 🙄 Unfortunately, the atmosphere is not very comfortable, especially in the brightly lit room at the back. Others might like it...it's a matter of taste. Still recommended 👍
