A very small but cozy tavern with delicious food (I recommend Penne Metaxa!!! Hmmmmm...!!! Greetings to the kitchen!!! 🫶) with nice staff who are happy to pour ouzo without being asked almost every time they walk past the dining table 🥰❤️ A reservation in advance is absolutely recommended, as there are not very many tables and on each of our visits they were always full 😉 We would be happy to come back on our next visit 🫶

We wanted to pay 1200 euros, unfortunately we were only allowed to pay 40 euros for the order. Very fast delivery time

I don't normally write reviews, but I'm making an exception here. Ordering etc. went smoothly and the food was ready quickly. The lady was also very friendly, but I had to refuse Ouzo... Ambiance was so-so. When we got home we got a nasty surprise: the food was subpar, and that's an understatement. The calamari was not thoroughly cooked and seasoned with curry (??!), the skewers not at all. The lamb fillet was long past its best days and the rice, well... Everything was thrown together very carelessly, a blob of ready-made sauce on the salad and it didn't smell delicious either. The food then ended up in the bin, so unfortunately I can't recommend it.

Wat is Rhodos achteruit gegaan qua eten. Had Gyros met groet besteld en als extra rijst. Werd ik gebeld dat de rijst op was en of ik iets anders voor in de plaats wilde, dus ik zei doe dan maar extra portie friet. Bij aankomst waren de zakjes en bakjes waar de gyros en friet in zat doorweekt van het vet, de friet en gyros waren super vet en heel zout, en de uien leken wel alsof ze al weken er tussen zaten. Als je ziet wat je aan prijs betaald en wat voor eten je er voor terug krijgt staat dat totaal niet met elkaar in verhouding. Mijn banaan met slagroom was uiteindelijk lekkerder dan de gyros waar ik enorm zin in had. Wat ooit een goede eettent was is nu een eettent met een zeer slechte kwaliteit van eten echt jammer. Ik bestel voortaan wel bij een andere griek

We wanted to go to the toilet. The statement immediately came that the toilet was blocked, only the women's toilet was free. Which I was still allowed to as a man, which is okay. I then asked if my wife could take a moment and the answer was “no, we’d better wait for the technician.” Next time just say that the toilets are only for guests. (of course we would have paid for each trip to the toilet)

Nice little tavern, a little away from the beach promenade. All in all it was good here. The service is super hardworking, fast and friendly. The food comes quickly. As for the food...if you expect food like in Greece you will only be partially happy here. However, if you are looking for the typical German "Greek Restaurant"... Personally, I would have liked it to have been a little more seasoned. But of course that is not representative. Conclusion: price and performance are okay

Delicious food and super nice staff (they asked if we wanted uso, the children were brought a children's uso and they were given an ice cream). You felt welcome in the restaurant thanks to the great hospitality of the waitresses. We can highly recommend the restaurant.

Had dinner there today with 10 people. Portion size too small for the prices, calamari much too light and tasteless, rice very bland and watery. Gyros and tzatziki good.

Unfortunately, it gets worse and more expensive every year. If you want to be served by untrained staff (in jogging suits) or are impressed by excessive hospitality, this is the place for you. You sit in the flower bed with a view of garbage cans. The food is standard and nothing special. Everything had to be seasoned, which is certainly a matter of taste. There won't be another time.

Based on the reviews, we were prepared for anything. But what we experienced was tops... unfortunately. We would be greeted in a very friendly way with: Hello everyone. This man doesn't even know us. Well, we were still happy and were really surprised. The starters came before the drinks, which were served incorrectly twice. We were already starting to smile. After the main course was brought to the table incorrectly several times, our gallows humor came through. The food tasted good, the quantity was perfect because it wasn't overloaded. What was, however, very bad and unpleasant: Apparently one of the waiters was there to test work. The entire crew regularly gave him the run for his money because, of course, he didn't know the table numbers by heart. He regularly delivered to the wrong guests and was talked down to on the crowded terrace. We found this extremely embarrassing and unpleasant. Because he was the only one who wasn't fake. The boss made fun of him and played his way into the foreground... That's not possible. Unfortunately, the store is a juggernaut in terms of hygiene. There is a bucket on the terrace that is filled with something and all the tables and the team's hands are wiped with a cloth soaked in it. Coming from the medical field I was really disgusted. You can imagine: we will never go there again Fortunately, we have never had to experience anything like this before.

We have rarely experienced such an unfriendly business owner. If it hadn't been for the friendly service and it wasn't so stormy outside, we would have gotten up straight away with our small children. Despite the relatively good food, we won't be eating there again.

Like every year, Rhodes is one of our must-visits. The food is sensational as always, the service is very, very good as usual. The atmosphere is very cozy and even when the shop is full, there is no train station atmosphere. I can only recommend everyone to visit the Rhodes in Scharbeutz. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delights there. The portion size is more than enough!!!

Food was very good. We would definitely have had one or two more beers if it had been served quicker.

We had ordered several dishes for 6:30 p.m. via Lieferando. The order was sent, 15 minutes later the doorbell rang (it was 5:30 p.m.) - the food had arrived. The requested delivery time was overlooked, which is a shame because we had specified the delivery time that way for a reason. The taste of the food was ok, but nothing special, the portion size was rather meager for the price. The pasta with mushrooms and Metaxa sauce was completely missing mushrooms. We wouldn't order/eat there again.

Great kitchen. Simple and tasty. Not these excessive portions. A round thing. The food was ready in 15 minutes. The ways that the staff have to go back are a logistical catastrophe. The kitchen access is in the furthest corner. We sat on the terrace.

We ate there on the last evening of our vacation! My friend had the Rhodes Platter and was very pleased. I had the calamari with fries, also very good! The service was also very friendly! Absolutely recommended!😀

Nice service. But the food is only snack level. Frozen vegetables and seemingly a lot of other convenience. The schnitzels for the children are cheap frozen molded meat. The taste is OK, but the food is 5 to 8 euros too expensive for the low quality. Drinks are also at the top of the price scale. We won't be coming back.

It tastes so delicious that you'll want to come back here in the evening after lunch! Gyros, liver, fries, tzatziki etc... extremely tasty! And it's really comfortable to sit here! So we are thrilled!

That was catastrophic! Here are the details: The service was very bad. When we arrived, so many waiters and waitresses came up to us and asked us multiple times about the basics, like how many people we are. Because of the language barrier, they (especially the young waitress) couldn't understand us. Of course, ordering food wasn't easy either. After repeating everything so many times, we finally got something that didn't taste good either. Nobody asked us if the food was tasty or if we needed anything. Long story short: Not recommended! There are so many restaurants nearby where one can enjoy a good time and good food.

When we are in Scharbeutz, this restaurant is a must. Very good quality of food and drinks. Very attentive and friendly staff. As a guest you feel comfortable and in good 👍 care.

I made a reservation for 9 people and arrived 5 minutes late. But that wasn't a problem. I was called when we were coming when we were late, which I thought was great. We also came with one more and the employees took care of it and got another table, everything was handled very well, no problem. The food came super quickly, less than 10 minutes (lead 10 people), the waiter was super friendly and nice, and the beer was cold and delicious. Price-performance ratio is also great. Top store, great recommendation.

We stopped by spontaneously on a Monday evening; there were still plenty of seats inside and outside. We took a seat outside, the ambience was so-so (we had a view of the neighbors' large garbage cans). The staff and boss were very, very friendly and nice, someone immediately came to greet us (including ouzo). Order taken, drinks came straight away, beer not cool enough in my opinion. A matter of taste. We had Creta plates and Polo Greek, mixed salad with freshly grilled chicken breast strips, for 18.90 euros and 17.90 euros. The food came very quickly, and it was clear that there was nothing freshly grilled. The taste was ok, but the salad portion was far too small for this price. Mostly iceberg and coleslaw, a few olives and pepperoni. The chicken strips were definitely not freshly grilled and should not be sold as such. Calamaris unfortunately tough. It's a shame, it's a shame, such nice people there. Unfortunately it's not worth coming back for food. @edit: for those with a sweet tooth - there are no desserts. Drank espresso instead, half of it was "crema"/foam, but the espresso was nothing either: extremely bitter despite the sugar :(

Update from May 19, 2024: We have been here several times, most recently this evening and we are very satisfied. The food, service and warmth are very pleasant. We'd love to come back.

In my 55 years of life, my wife and I have eaten Greek food once or twice, but only once was it so tasteless, I don't think we need to say more about it.

Ordered via Lieferando at 6 p.m. It was supposed to be delivered at 7 p.m. At 7:30 p.m. I called to find out where the food was left, and the answer was that it would arrive soon. Meanwhile, it's 8:30 p.m. and still no food, so I'm just kidding the first and last Ordered there. If it takes longer, calling your customers but not reporting them is an absolute no go

Catastrophe !!! The owners sat drunk in a corner of the bar and talked loudly about family matters. (partly in fecal language) It was not possible to converse with each other because you couldn't understand your own words. Unfortunately, we had already ordered drinks, but canceled the food due to the bad atmosphere. We have never come across a worse restaurant (and we really have a lot of experience). We would like to warn everyone, please don't do this to yourself!!! (0 stars in reality, but can't be reported without one)

Ich war am Nachmittag spontan, aufgrund des schlechten Wetters, im Rhodos. Ich bin dort sehr freundlich empfangen worden. Das Essen, es war ein Mittagsgericht, war schmackhaft und mehr als ausreichend. Dieses Erlebnis deckt sich mit einem letzten Besuch im April des letzten Jahres. Ich kann das Restaurant weiter empfehlen.

My partner and I were really looking forward to the evening, but we could have saved ourselves. The food was not tasty at all!!! Not to mention the women's toilet, which really took a lot of effort to use, totally dirty, no toilet paper, just disgusting. In addition, the staff complains about the conditions in front of the customers!!!! Hygiene is really a priority!!!! It was worth an experience but we won't eat there again!!!!

Ordered through Ligerando, food ok and on time. We were accidentally delivered the wrong drink. Statement on the phone when I complained “we didn't have anything else left” he would take another look and then deliver. It wasn't delivered! So if there is no more Cola/Pepsi in a restaurant in the “heart of Scharbeutz” in the early season, then I don’t want to know what will happen in the high season. So bottom line, food is ok, you can forget the rest.

We went there without a reservation and were given a very friendly welcome. The food is very good. The side salad could be a little more colorful (iceberg with coleslaw). The ambience is nice, but you could do more with it. Overall, however, we really liked it there. Above all, the service was extremely friendly. We would come back at any time!

Four of us came without a reservation. The welcome was so warm and friendly that we felt really welcome. Our food was very tasty and the spices weren't as typical as usual. The "fries" weren't run of the mill either and the food was attractively prepared. The furnishings were modern and we found it very comfortable. The employees also came with the ouzo every now and then, which of course we didn't refuse and added to the coziness. Thank you very much and we can only recommend it.

Friendly service! Eat good ! We would like to come to Grömitz more often on the weekend with our motorhome to eat and shop, but the municipality of Grömitz is now sending the police to the motorhome parking space at 1 a.m. and asking its solvent "guests" to leave, even though they have a parking ticket bought for 24 hours! Motorhome drivers and their money are not welcome here! Maybe everyone should drive a few kilometers further a year and spend their money there!?

Simply great! We have been there 4 times now and have been made super happy 4 times. No problems from making a reservation by telephone to paying. Friendly welcome, always a relaxed saying on the lips. Very obliging. Food was delivered in perfect time and was absolutely amazing. Last visit we had lamb fillets and gyros in metaxa sauce. As my husband says, “no more is possible”! The lamb was grilled to perfection. The metaxa sauce was perfect. Price - performance more than harmonious! We would be happy to come by again
