Restaurant Mykonos in Scharbeutz

The food was absolutely delicious 😋! We also had a really friendly waiter who accommodated our special requests. We definitely recommend this restaurant!

We really wanted to give the Mykonos restaurant a positive review because, despite its 2.9-star rating (on Tripadvisor), the place is really nice. The owner gave us a super friendly welcome, took time to chat, and asked cool, personal questions – that was definitely the highlight of our visit. About the food: We had gyros and souvlaki. Everything was solid value for money – the portions were very large, fresh, and tasty, just right for the price. Nothing extraordinary, but definitely satisfying. For anyone who enjoys a Baltic Sea vacation but doesn't want to eat in overpriced restaurants like they usually do, this is a great alternative. Especially in an area where many very upscale restaurants are the norm, it's worth discovering this place. There is one negative aspect, however: The location is further away from the sea compared to the other restaurants and is rather less inviting. But since the other restaurants were either too expensive or already full, Mykonos was a solid alternative. Overall, it's a place we're happy to support, especially because of the great boss who gave us a really warm welcome as young guests.

We ordered food there today when we came back from the beach. The young waiter was very friendly and immediately offered me an ouzo. The mixed grill we ordered was delicious. Certainly not the cheapest Greek restaurant, but I would eat there anytime.

The food was okay, nothing special. What I find unacceptable, however, is that the tables are so close together that your neighbor can put their hand on your plate.

We visited "Mykonos" several times during our vacation and were absolutely thrilled. The gyros were super delicious, and the salad was lovely and fresh. For starters, we had garlic bread with tzatziki – highly recommended! The entire staff was super friendly and attentive! Very nice Greek-style ambiance. We love it! ❤️

Greek restaurant in the heart of Scharbeutz's promenade. The service is fast and the food is decent. It's certainly a good place to eat, but it's nothing special. If you prefer a quieter place, you'd better look elsewhere.

My wife and I went there for lunch last week. I had gyros with Metaxa sauce, fries, and salad, and my wife had calamari with fries and salad! We each had a KiBa juice to drink ;-) Everything was great, so I give it 5 stars! We'll be back! 👍👍

A good Greek restaurant. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The food is delicious, and the restaurant's location is pleasant.

The food was okay, but the outdoor tables and chairs should be cleared of rainwater. Then more people would definitely visit the restaurant. Of course, it could also be due to a lack of staff. The food was good and the price was right.

The ambiance is nice, in the style of a Greek taverna. The service was polite and quick. The prices for the food are typical for the area. The food itself was rather mediocre and rather greasy. I went there once, but I'll try a different restaurant next time.

Well, honestly, maybe we're a bit spoiled because we usually get better quality on our plates at at least 10 different Greek restaurants or snack bars in Hamburg than at the Mykonos restaurant. The salad consisted almost entirely of iceberg lettuce, without peppers, coleslaw, or olives. No dressing. The main course, the gyros, had no flavor, and parts of the liver tasted like fish. I have no idea how that happens, but it wasn't nice. The men's restroom was partially flooded, which was well known, but there was no reaction. When we asked if we enjoyed our food, we wanted to say something, but the waitress simply walked away with the plates. We learned that she hadn't understood us correctly. Okay. The manager just rolled his eyes and waved us off as if we were stupid. Okay, you can do that, but only once with us.

The food this time was rather poor. The gyros were large lumps of meat, the salad was the worst, the iceberg lettuce was only the inner part, 1 slice of tomato, 1 slice of cucumber, and then we got the wrong food once. And really bad service this time.

Wir hatten Gyros Metaxa und Moussaka. Geschmacklich war es okay, hätte heißer sein können. Naja in vielen südlichen Ländern ist das nicht üblich, aber wir finden es geschmacklich besser. Die Portion Moussaka war sehr groß, allerdings kostet sie auch über 22 Euro. Das ist auch für die Lage im Ostseebad für griechische Standardküche hochpreisig. Wir sahen auch Gäste nach Blick in die Karte wieder gehen. Ambiente auch Durchschnitt. Wir saßen draußen unter der Überdachung. Tischdeko: Das Nötigste, daher kühl. Service freundlich aber reserviert, man kann sagen es wird das Nötigste gesprochen. Recht kühl, diese Freundlichkeit ohne Lächeln. Was gar nicht geht, ist das beim Damen WC bei einer der zwei Toiletten die WC- Brille fehlt und Toilettenpapier Mangelware ist. Bei den vielen Lokalen im Ort ruft dies nicht gerade nach Wiederholung.

Every time we vacation in Scharbeutz, a visit to Mykonos is a must. Whether it's gyros, baked gyros, salads, liver, or appetizers – everything is simply top-notch! The taste, the portions, the service: always excellent. We've brought many friends with us – everyone loved it. See you next time!

Fries, souvlaki were good...... Gyros very stringy......for the price it was unfortunately only mediocre

Yesterday we spontaneously went out to eat there with 4 people. We had to wait almost 50 minutes for the food and then the fries with the gyros were cold. After complaining, they said that new fries would be made. Nothing came. All of us left the fries behind. When paying I said that I would not pay the entire amount for the reasons given above. After minutes of consultation, the waitress appeared and said he could give us €2 off per dish because the fries cost €2 (€4.90 according to the menu). No apologies, no ouzo or anything like that. A very poor service and absolutely not recommended!!!

Food was fresh but lacked the wow factor! Fries were great! The portion itself was ok, but to be honest the price for the portions was really steep! 2 adults and 1 child with a drink each just under 70€ well 🫤 very positive to mention: the service was very attentive

Never had such a bad Greek meal before. The gyros was probably rotten meat from the day before, lukewarm and tough, just subterranean. Had diarrhea afterwards. The waiters came back three times and asked how we wanted the food again and then it still came exactly as it was on the menu. The excuse was the chef is new, of course! Just don't be blinded by the friendliness. Never again, no wonder it's empty.

The staff is very friendly and attentive, we had comfortable seating, and the food was truly delicious. We'd be happy to return here on our next visit to the area.

Für einen Mittagstisch waren die Portionen gut, jedoch fehlten uns Oregano, eine Olive oder auch eine Peperoni zum griechischen feeling. Der Reis war schon sehr zerkocht und das Fleisch extra tot gebraten. Die Preise der Lage entsprechend.

Normal Greek with local prices. Plates are normal size and not as overloaded as some other Greeks... In terms of food, everything is normal and good, but nothing that will blow your mind away...

There were ten of us there at prime time and the food came very quickly. The attentive waiter was friendly and competent and didn't skimp on the ouzo. Food was plentiful and tasty. I deducted one star for the ambience because the prices for "Gyros gratinated in Metaxasacue" and other meat platters are about €2-3 higher than in our country (probably due to the tourist hotspot) and because the many tables give off a little Greek flair is lost. But that is misery on a high level. Great shop!

We went to the restaurant for dinner yesterday. We ordered lamb fillet and lamb chops. As a side dish there was tzatziki, rosemary potatoes and mixed salad. We were quite disappointed. The dishes were served on one plate instead of in several bowls. The rosemary potatoes were potato wedges, the mixed salad was overwhelmed by the dressing and had no taste. The food was missing salt and garlic. In addition, the door was constantly open, so we were freezing in the restaurant. The service was very nice and accommodating. The prices were too high for the food. We will refrain from another visit.

The Mykonos restaurant in Scharbeutz offers solid Greek cuisine. The food was served quickly, which may be because there wasn't much going on at the time. The taste of the food was okay, but nothing extraordinary. Drinks and food met expectations and were of appropriate quality. The service started off friendly, but there was an unpleasant situation at the end. The waiter seemed unhappy when there wasn't a large tip, which was evident by his facial expressions. This left a rather negative impression when paying and spoiled the overall impression of the visit.

So first to the waiter. Very superficial. I preferred to stand in front of the door and talk to someone I knew. When he came to the table you had the feeling that you must want to eat here right now. Unfortunately the food wasn't that good either. From the taste, you had the feeling that spices were being saved here. If anyone knows the food in a hospital then they know what I mean. But the ambience was very nice.

Chic restaurant in a typical Greek atmosphere... Service very friendly and attentive. Drinks and starters were served quickly, and the main course was also served quickly, even though the restaurant was very busy. Garlic bread with tzatziki as a starter was very tasty... 1x main course Bifteki Gemisto and 1x Gyros Fournou, both highly recommended. Price performance is appropriate for the location. If we go there again for vacation, we'll go there again...👍

Very nice, centrally located Greek. Food plentiful and good! We ordered the beef liver. The service was nice and friendly. Food and drinks came very quickly. Nice outside area to sit. Particularly sweet: a swallow's nest with young ones outside.

Greek without any specialties, there are better ones in Scharbeutz too! Plates were completely overloaded, which didn't necessarily make the food any tastier. Unfortunately, tzatziki tasted like it came from a big bucket!?

You should know that this is not a Greek restaurant, but one run by Asians. Accordingly, the food is not Greek either. Example "Greek farmer's salad: had nothing to do with it, but was a mixture of finely chopped vegetables smothered in a pink and white sauce. A few olives on the edge, two pepperoni on the other and a mini piece of cheese on top. But there still seem to be a few people there like because there are lunch dishes for a very cheap price of 11.90. The service was nice and quick, but didn't dare to ask if we liked it. My husband's dish wasn't really good either.

Everything was fine. We wanted to sit by the window, but were directed to another table, even though everything on the row of windows was free. Quite unusual. There aren't that many restaurants in the area.

We ate very well there twice during our Scharbeutz holiday. The starter platter for two people is highly recommended and is also a great main course to share. Children are welcome.

Hello everyone, I'll keep it short: I've never been as disappointed by a Greek restaurant as I was by this one. The food was ready very quickly (possibly frozen food). The meat was very tender, burnt and or on the grill for too long. In my dish, the gyro was very dry, with a lot of tendons and I had to chew it like chewing gum. Fries were very thin and unsalted. The side salad was OK. I paid €23.90 for my dish and €4.10 for a 0.3 liter cola. The four of us rounded it up to €110. And for the money we were just disappointed. Conclusion: No recommendation!

Service was a disgrace, we were even threatened with the police if we didn't pay the bill, we complained about the food, we had gyros with lamb fillet, rice. What came was inedible Fett. had told the service staff that, but unfortunately nothing else was offered to me. very unfriendly.... had Tzatzik €6.80 in advance, was served with 4 small slices of baguette, not even baked myself. Then bread was ordered for 3kl .slices another 1 euro extra. After we asked for the bill we were blown away and had to pay for everything, even the food that I hadn't eaten due to the defects. Afterwards we said you weren't serious and that I would otherwise like my food as it was ordered. If we have to pay for it in full. At the end of the song, the supposed boss came, German was no longer spoken among the three people and if we didn't pay, they'd call the police... Oh, just by the way, the staff said we're just tourists anyway and then they don't come anymore anyway....but unfortunately this business lives from tourists, which maybe they don't understand.....sorry people, I don't support something like that.. and believe me the quality of the meat is very bad.... . ..PURE RIP-OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If there were minus stars, I would have given them. Gyros a disaster, very fatty and with gristle. Inedible!!! Complaints were not only taken into account and we were threatened with the police when I didn't want to pay for my inedible complained and uneaten food. It's a disgrace how complaints from customers are handled in this restaurant. Absolutely not recommended. I'd rather go hungry. Bad food and even worse service

Never had such a bad gyro before. They were more scraps of fat than anything else. The service could also be better. Definitely don't go there a second time.

A Greek where there is no smell of garlic. Well - the food was good. But we were definitely missing the garlic potatoes on the menu. The ambience is nice. The selection is relatively small but sufficient. Prices are higher than usual in the area. Service friendly. But had to be asked several times for missing cutlery. Anyone hoping for plenty of ouzo here will be disappointed. There is only one farewell. We know it beforehand and in between. Overall okay, but somehow it didn't feel like Greek.

Warcraft out for the dry, hard none tasting Souvlakis. Thoose pieces could kill a baby pig as hard as they where.

Very nice staff, child-friendly, unfortunately no changing table available, the food (spaghetti with shrimp) was good, but not outstanding and the 5 shrimp were a bit tight for the price. The gyro was good.

The food was good. Greek. Not too rich, so there isn't too much left over, but it fills you up very well. Relatively little choice. Service very quick, attentive and friendly. Seems a bit fake. Ambiance is quite simple.

Update 2024 significantly worsened and not a recommendation! The food comes very quickly. It feels like you have ordered and the food is on the table. Quality is right. Gladly again (review 2022) Update 2024: The food comes lukewarm to cold, portions are significantly smaller. What was still ok in 2022 has completely changed in 2024. Gyros are certainly pre-cooked/cut in bulk. The taste is now really just sufficient. No more recommendation in 2024. 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Actually, this restaurant is a must when we are on holiday here, but this and the last time we were very disappointed. Unfortunately the food is much worse than last year. You had to look for the sauce on the side salad, the meat was very dry, both the gyros and the skewers. The rice I chose was very artificial. The portions are getting smaller each time, but the prices are getting higher and higher. The service was OK, not overly friendly, rather very sober.

Small quantity, very expensive and the food is terrible. The octopus seemed chewy and tough, the salmon sparse and refried. Not recommended and I will not return.

We were allowed to choose a table and chose the terrace. The service is really courteous, the menu is handed to you and you ask every now and then whether it tastes good. We had a gyro plate with fries and a Gyros Fourno (gyros gratinated with Metaxa sauce and cheese) with fries and salad, it was really delicious. At the end we were offered an ouzo on the house. Just a cozy afternoon. Keep it up 👍
