Waiter Franz is simply awesome!!!!

A super nice place to linger and enjoy. There's a playground for children, and when the hut is closed, there are vending machines for drinks and snacks. However, it's not a good idea at all when the staff discuss reservations, etc., in front of the guests. We can't comment on the food, but it looked very good.

We've been to the Tannenhütte regularly every year and have been very satisfied so far. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food. However, on Easter Sunday, the food was abysmal. The salad with cheese dumplings tasted like yesterday's, the schnitzel with fries (the fries were okay, but the schnitzel hadn't been cooked in the pan for much longer than expected), and the cheese spaetzle also seemed to have been prepared in the morning and then reheated in the microwave.

A great location with very tasty food at reasonable prices. The service is great, nice and quick. We really liked the atmosphere. It is a modern house with lots of warmth and atmosphere. Simply great and we would love to come back.

Nice hut. Very crowded on weekends. Correspondingly stressful atmosphere!

I can highly recommend the hike there is great but feel free to take hiking sticks with you. The view on the paths is breathtakingly beautiful. The ice cream tastes very good and the homemade cake is also great. If you want to switch off from everyday life, go these ways, there are different ones.

Great cabin with children. Accessible by an easy hike. Really fantastic view over Garmisch and the surrounding area.

The location and the view is great. But the food average, for an increased price with self-service. My question about the way from the hut to another hut was answered snooty and cheeky, we should just walk, he doesn't know where to go because he's driving up there in the car 🥴. Sorry, but that's just not a service.

Amazing views after a short hike

When we come to Garmisch, the Tannenhütte is always our first stop. Great hut, beautiful views and delicious food. The service was very nice and friendly. The Kaiserschmarrn was super tasty like the rest. The hut can be easily reached in just under an hour. Unfortunately, blueberry Kaiserschmarrn is no longer available.

Beautiful new cabin, in a beautiful location, the view is to die for. The fir hut is modern and contemporary, the entire window front reflecting the panorama of the mountains fits well. Children can let off steam a little away from the hut in the landscaped playground...the terrace is equipped with beautiful, heavy wooden furniture. I ate a Kaspressknödl soup, which tasted delicious, with a cold beer and this view, it couldn't be better... the restaurant is a self-service restaurant... with very nice staff

I'm actually a fan of the Tannenhütte, but if you don't like people you should stay at home and you've got the wrong job. And no, I'm not a tourist!! The stars are only for the location and the good coffee. The service is simply outrageous and a tone that doesn't work at all. And then a 10 euro deposit for a dog drinking bowl with the direct assumption that the thing would be stolen. So thank you, at least we won't be coming back.

One star for the incredibly beautiful view, one star for the beautiful hut and the fact that there are vegan options. Zero stars for service. Unfortunately we didn't feel welcome at all. The food and drinks have to be ordered in the hut, which sometimes gets chaotic when the house is full. When the sun went away and we wanted to sit inside, we were refused because the food for outside had already been taken. You shouldn't forget that we already had half of the food, there was space inside and it was just freezing cold outside. After asking again if we could please come in, the gentleman agreed. Either way, the staff came across as super irritable and overwhelmed. It's a shame because there's so much potential here. But if the service isn't right, the food and the view can be no matter how good. It's a shame, and on my birthday. P.S.: As a waiter, eating fries from the guests' plates in the kitchen is an absolute no-go 👎🏼

Food with very high taste, great and modern served, service very attentive, restaurant and terrace outside clean and tidy. Location and view fantastic.

Always nice to hike to the hut. The food is always delicious even when it's really crowded. You can sit very well inside and outside. You have a great view. There is also a lot on offer for children. It's worth walking to the hut in summer as well as in winter. Highly recommended… we always enjoy going there. From there you can easily hike up to Wank.

As always, very nice with a view of a great landscape. The hike there is great, there are different paths from Partenkirchen or from the middle station of the Wankbahn. Beer garden or sitting inside is great. After the hike you will be rewarded with delicious self-service drinks and food. Next to it is the Hacker-Pschorr suspension bridge. A nice experience.

Actually a nice hut! But on November 1st, 2024 it was complete chaos. From 2 p.m., the portions of cheese patties and fries were reduced by 1/3 while the price remained the same. (We had both portion sizes in our group) Waiting time over an hour, drinks in the self-service area 35 minutes. Prices are rather high compared to other huts in the area - unfortunately it wasn't particularly enjoyable in terms of enjoyment. I grew up in Partenkirchen and have always loved the wonderful path "to the Gamshütte - now Tannenhütte" - but I advise everyone to take their snack with them and enjoy a little walk to the Hacker-Pschorr Bridge (there are benches) with the best view. I am aware that running a hut like this is complicated and not easy, but other hut operators in the area can actually do it better.

A great modern hut, food OK and not exactly cheap, service on the terrace is virtually non-existent (which is okay), the location is sensational, the path can be done even with little fitness. We'd love to come back.

Varied hike that is particularly popular with families. Very nice view of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Wetterstein Mountains as well as the Ammergau Alps. It can also be very crowded on weekends when the weather is nice.

Prices are now too high. In addition, mistakes now creep in because you can't cope with the many guests. Pager 10 is defective. My food was cold - no excuse or anything...

The prices were too high for self-service

The climb to the Tannenhütte is quite easy, you could even take the gondola up from Wang and then just go down to the hut. The hut itself is located next to the Hacker-Pschorr Bridge where you have a great view. In addition to the hut catering, there are also vending machines which are accessible around the clock. We were able to enjoy a cheese dumpling soup, a Kaiserschmarrn and a snack board. Everything was very tasty and the portions would probably have been enough for 3 people. The Kaiserschmarrn was very airy, and I would particularly like to praise the greaves on the snack board. The service was good, it should be mentioned that when picking up the food you have to wait a little longer at the point of delivery. About long enough to make you wonder if the food isn't ready yet. The ambience is great, the view is fantastic. All in all, highly recommended. However, for allergy sufferers there is the restriction that there is a dog inside that belongs to the hut.

Nature is perfect, but some problems such as cold approach to strangers, lack of service, and cold service of hot drinks disrupt the comfort. Still, it has great potential.

Mountain hut in a modernized design with an extensive menu and adjusted prices

Modern hut with a beautiful beer garden and a great view of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. There was self-service in the beer garden outside, which worked great and shortened the waiting time for a beer again ;-). Very friendly staff. Prices completely okay.

We stopped there yesterday during the hike🥾🧭; We can only recommend the Tannenhütte: great hut - lovingly furnished🫶 The food and drinks are highly recommended! The staff is very (!) friendly and extremely attentive! We were looked after very well and warmly by Lisa! We liked it so much that we came back today😅🫶 The cherry girls🍒🥾🧭

Very good food with a beautiful view. The conditions are also very fast and friendly. We really enjoyed the wheat beer there. The hut is easy to reach, it takes about 40 minutes to walk from Garmisch.

We were in the Tannenhütte today - there was a big sign on the terrace: "We're currently self-service". However, I had seen a waitress outside. We chose a table and I went to the restaurant and asked if there was self-service. This was denied with the statement: “We have just switched over. There is someone outside”. We then waited outside at the table to place our order. Nobody came and asked us what we would like to order. Other tables were served, and the waitress didn't take a look around. Someone also came by, but eye contact was not sought. Sometimes the waitress stood with her hands in her pockets and joked with other guests. Who knows what motivation the chef had in the kitchen. Unfortunately we left after 15 minutes and then ate down in Garmisch. People were friendlier there and the prices were lower there too. High prices and poor service - something isn't right.

Beautiful modern cabin. We got a Kaiserschmarren and it was one of the best I've ever eaten - highly recommended!

The Tannenhütte offers an impressive view of the Zugspitze and is architecturally modern and attractive. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. Despite being directly present at the counter, we were not immediately noticed when we ordered, and when we arrived we were not greeted warmly, as is usual in other mountain huts. The drinks we ordered in the self-service area were quite expensive at 10 euros for two soft drinks. It was also irritating that a waitress repeatedly asked guests whether they had already paid, even though they already had food and drinks in front of them. The atmosphere seemed rather impersonal. It might be worth it for the beautiful view, but unfortunately we missed the hospitable warmth.

Nice hut, nice playground and good views. Prices high. €7.70 for 1 pair of Viennese with a slice of bread. Cheese dumpling soup was very salty, the dumpling was dry and burnt, no trace of cheese.

I'm in the Tannenhütte again, like I do several times a year. As always, the team is super friendly - even in hectic moments. The food tastes good. Everything perfect. Keep it up. I'm already looking forward to the next time. Thank you!

Dear Anna and the Tannenhütte team! Thank you for the great experience we had with our team at/in your hut. We had a workshop with an easy 40-minute climb to you, a fantastic backdrop and the best weather. The friendly welcome and the food, which were huge portions, made our work sweeter. And it wasn't just because of the Kaiserschmarrn. Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back, privately or as a company.

The climb was a bit difficult, but wonderfully beautiful. But of course you will be rewarded with a fantastic view.

The climb to the hut is a leisurely walk about 30 minutes from Partenkirchen. The hut is really nicely decorated. The price was a bit higher but that was to be expected

The food was great, but the service was very unfriendly, the man at the counter barked at you, probably because he had to answer the question of where to pick up the food several times. Well, you think that the customers or tourists will never come back. You don't necessarily have to be friendly

I was there today, a really great hut. It's crazy what was built there. Great service and delicious food at a normal price. I'll come back in winter. One small thing: unfortunately the time on the signpost is not correct. From the parking lot of the Wankbahn up there are 3 signposts on the way up, each 1¼ hours. 🤣 But whoever is on the way to you doesn't care about the time🥳

Drinks ok. But definitely not eating anymore. The large salad is smaller than most side salads in GAP. Cheese spaetzle completely unseasoned and the scariest onions I've ever had. Prices not justified. But people don't ask how the food was when half-full plates are returned... (certainly not because of large portions. To your answer: No, this is the “big” salad that came out the same way 3 times!!! If I hadn't felt like testing again, I wouldn't have wasted my time on it. So 5 people just thought the onions were bad. But the answer in general says it all.

I was asked to update my review because the Kaiserschmarrn would not cost 18 euros. Sorry, you're right, it's apparently €16.60 + self-service. Doesn't change the fact that I find this price completely excessive. But everyone can evaluate that for themselves. I maintain that I cannot recommend a visit here due to the prices. Original review: “It looks nice, but after looking at the menu where the Kaiserschmarrn costs 18 euros, we left. Simply disproportionate. We didn't even pay at the ski hut. It’s a shame.”

Nice, very easy hike to the hut possible with children. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the prices are anything but fair or justifiable. The Kaiserschmarrn costs over €17!

Went to the Tannenhütte today. The ambience was really good, but unfortunately the service was not at all. My children were already in the hut and after about 15 minutes had to go to the counter and ask whether this was a self-service hut or a service hut. We were then able to place our drink order with a rather annoyed waitress. When we arrived at the hut we were not noticed at all by the employees, no hello or hello. After waiting for about half an hour, the waitress walked past us several times, I then paid for my children's drinks directly at the counter, but I had to wait there again. All in all, nice cabin in a nice location, but the service is subpar. I hope for the owners that we are or were an isolated case. Maybe the owner can comment.

I would like to point out in advance that this is my personal perception, which was confirmed by our friends who were there but does not necessarily apply to other opinions. The location is very nicely located and everything is very modern and clean. I can't rate the food because we didn't order anything, but the portions seemed large and were nicely prepared. The fact that we "just" ordered something to drink didn't seem to go down too well and when it came to paying it was too much work to calculate the drinks for two families. They then made a flat rate and asked if we couldn't pay for everything together, which we then did with tips. I don't understand why card payments aren't possible, but unfortunately that still seems to apply to many businesses in the area (unfortunately). The staff was constantly under pressure and had a lot to do, which is not surprising given the unique location. The staff ranged from friendly to annoyed and snotty. The only man in service always made this clear. As already written, this is my personal perception. There is no alternative to stopping off and taking a break. If you just need a drink or tiny snack, you can access the machines outside and sit at the playground.

Fantastically located location with a fantastic view of the Wetterstein Mountains. Bavarian specialties on the menu, everyone will find something. Service friendly, mostly self-service. Unfortunately, the Bachhendl was almost burnt on the outside and not quite cooked on the inside. Fries crispy, as they should be.

Pretty hut with friendly service. The cake was delicious, Kaiserschmarrn was ok... Leaving out the raisins because there are sometimes people who don't like them is, in my opinion, a silly compromise. And somehow the trend is to caramelize it so much that it hardly tastes like anything else. Otherwise everything was fine 😊 You can pay by card...

I was here for lunch with my grandfather. He took the fried chicken, but didn't want any fries with it. He was offered salad as a side dish. He said it doesn't have to be much. I took cheese spaetzle and was asked if I would like some salad with it. I said, at most a little and only if it's not leaf lettuce. It said it was mixed coleslaw. I agree. The salad had nothing to do with coleslaw and so I hardly ate it. I had to pay €7.30 for it and my grandfather's side dish was also charged €7.30!!! So the insert was not exchanged. The food itself was also very poor. There is therefore no recommendation. For average food and two beers we paid €51.

Went there early on Saturday after a nice hike from Garmisch. A very nice hut, modern and rustic at the same time, the atmosphere is very harmonious. And the view is magnificent. Although there were only four other guests besides us, unfortunately it was only self-service. The prices were already very confident! There was little that was typical of a hut. We then just decided to have a drink and forgo the food because we ultimately didn't feel recognized as guests there. The very sparse exchange of words at the checkout when ordering drinks was also telling. You didn't get the feeling that restaurateurs were at work here. We experienced this much better at other huts around Garmisch. We probably wouldn't come back.

Have been here repeatedly. When it opened a few years ago it was an insider tip with very good food, reasonable prices and excellent service. Today: unfriendly, annoyed service. We were there with 2 small children. Neighboring tables received their food in a reasonable time. After 40 minutes we politely inquired about the hungry children in our family and were told that the food would be coming soon. After another half hour of complaining to the boss at the checkout. Visibly annoyed and unprofessional, he rejected the criticism rather arrogantly, saying we had only ordered 36 minutes ago... Tip: if there are hungry children at the table: a friendly apology, a walk into the kitchen and immediately organize something to eat. It's a shame, "tourists" are plucked like geese, they only come once - it's just embarrassing that half of us were locals... An impression that one has more and more here in Garmisch, in addition to a lot of very friendly, customer-oriented companies in the tourism industry, there is increasingly rude and unfriendly behavior towards guests who are vacationing here... Friendliness costs nothing, a sincere apology would have immediately relaxed the situation. A mistake can always happen, and sloppy behavior, as always, shows a lack of professionalism. Not recommended for families with children! I actually only write good reviews, see profile, reaction from boss was absolutely unacceptable!

Was soll ich sagen…. Es steckt so viel Potenzial in dieser Hütte… leider wird es durch hohe Preise, lange Wartezeiten und teilweise unfreundliche Bedienung nicht besser… Unter der Woche, vormittags und der Außenbereich nichtmal zur Hälfte besetzt… wir warteten 15min, bis wir überhaupt bedient wurden und dann nochmal 40min auf ein Brotzeitbrett!!!!! Sehr schade… positiv… es war lecker und das Brot war knackfrisch. Preislich ist es schon an der oberen Grenze, wenn man bedenkt, dass die Hütte mit dem Auto zu erreichen ist und die Preise für Gerichte und Getränke, aufgrund von der Benutzung von Materialseilbahn oder ähnlichem gerechtfertigt wäre.

A perfect Kaiserschmarrn in a fantastic setting, we have never experienced anything better on our vacation. The service was also great, we would come back at any time.

The Tannenhütte is beautifully situated and you have a great view of the mountains! Unfortunately the Kaiserschmarn was really not good. Tasted more like scrambled eggs. The Kaiserschmarn on the Kaiserschmarrn-Alm is better! Service unfortunately very disappointing. The waitresses were extremely annoyed that there was a lot going on and made every guest feel that. We saw some unpleasant scenes. When asked how big a portion of Kaiserschmarrn was, we too could only answer: "Yes, what can I say? Some people eat half a portion, others 5." So I don't think anyone can make 5 portions of this. As others write here, the portions are quite large. Also the coffee was half spilled when it was served. But there wasn't even an excuse for that.

Perched midway on a mountain near Garmish, the hike was tempting. However, getting there took a lot of effort as I was not used to such steep terrain. The food was delicious and the girl at the counter spoke good English. The view of the valley was breathtaking.

We walked two different routes, which were very pleasant. The atmosphere was super idyllic, the service was very friendly and the food was also delicious. I would come back.

There are many aggressive and large dogs running around on the terrace and on the paths to the restaurant. Therefore, caution is advised - especially if you have children with you.

Super nice hut with a dream view. Playground for small children. Hacker Pschorr Bridge right in front of the door as a photo opportunity. Self-service only. Kaiserschmarrn was not to our liking as it was covered in honey. Cake not that tasty either. Maybe we were a bit unlucky when choosing the dishes.

Absolutely recommendable little mountain hut with a super friendly staff, super attentive, super nice, with a smile on their faces. Very tasty “Tannenhütten-Sprizz”, good portion of Kaiserschmarn and very tasty Wuild planterl. Great views with plenty of space and seating, from simple beer benches to lounge chairs.

If most children's favorite food - simple fries - costs almost 7.00 euros, then it's certainly anything but family-friendly and you shouldn't be surprised if the guests take something with them in their backpacks. Why couldn't I find a menu online? For 4 x fries with 4 drinks you are not far away from 50 euros and that with self-service!! In addition, the boss could be a little friendlier, as she is probably not from the industry.
