Located in the pedestrian area of the harbor, this spot offers a varied menu with generally good food. The service is friendly, and there are both indoor and outdoor seating options, we chose to sit outside and were lucky with the weather. It’s one of many options in the area, but a solid choice.

Beautiful restaurant by the marina. We stopped in while it was raining. Incredibly friendly service, delicious cake, and a blanket and treats for our wet dog 😉 Great service, something you don't find very often these days. Thank you to the fantastic team 😊

A beautiful place where everything is just right. We simply walked in and were surprised. The food was exceptionally good, harmoniously balanced. The staff were very polite, friendly, and welcoming. The food was so wonderfully prepared, thoughtfully and lovingly, a magnificent sight. Only then did we enjoy it with all our senses, almost in awe. What I personally found very nice was that there were no prices listed on the menu. This allowed us to concentrate solely on the dishes. There was no room for unnecessary items, no room for cell phones, no room for photos. Just us and our meal. Thank you for that.

The price is a bit high, but it's definitely justified for the quality and excellent service. We highly recommend Tamatsu.

A Tibetan who shares the cuisine of his heritage with delicious momos. Otherwise, there's a lot of sushi on the menu. I had the duck salad, which was incredibly tasty and something completely different, seasoned with a sweet sauce and peanuts. Simply delicious, I highly recommend it. The momos were also good, the miso soup was okay, the vegetables were too chewy for me, but that's a matter of taste. Even though it was busy on a Sunday, the service moved quickly. The very attentive staff kept asking questions, and every member of staff was in a good mood. You just felt completely welcome as a guest.

We were here today just for a caffe crema and a cappuccino. The staff was very friendly and relaxed. We didn't eat anything. I politely pointed out to the waiter that the packaged coffee milk was expired. It wasn't a problem; I didn't need it anyway.

Unfortunately, it was disappointing. Expensive and I didn't like it. They pretend to be fancy and Asian fusion, but unfortunately, it's inedible. And I love Asian food. The duck was covered in sauce and unfortunately full of crunch. Actually, the friendly waitress didn't charge me for the dish after hearing this. I was very pleasantly surprised, as few restaurants respond so well and accommodatingly. So I'm really hoping for the day's form. The interior and location are good. Right on the harbor with a view of the sailing ships 💙

There were seven of us there today (4 adults and 3 children) and we placed a larger order accordingly. After about 20 minutes, we received our starter, which was truly delicious and made us want the main course. Unfortunately, things went downhill after that: It took another 20 minutes to clear the starter. We had to wait a total of over an hour for our main course. Only after asking were we told that it would "come right away." Ten minutes later, the same waiter explained to us that the food was now "in the works." However, we didn't receive a proper apology—instead, the explanation was that the restaurant was too busy. Especially in situations like these, you would have at least hoped for a clear apology, perhaps with a small gesture like an aperitif or a drink on the house. That would have made the long wait much more pleasant.

That's why we're only rating it with 3 stars: Dear Sir or Madam, On Thursday, we visited your Heiligenhafen location for dinner and, full of anticipation, decided on the "Enjoy Tashi's Family Style Menu" based on the great description. We were looking forward to the best the restaurant had to offer and, unfortunately, we must say we were more than disappointed. For us, the value for money was not at all right. The main course was particularly disappointing – promising the best and then serving breaded, unseasoned pollock in beer batter and a standard piece of salmon is quite sad. The vegetables were unfortunately overcooked. A large bowl of dry rice and, according to your advertisement, a beef fillet of the same size. Unfortunately, it was very small and completely dry, so that wasn't a pleasant experience either. We were really looking forward to the evening and were sadly more than disappointed, especially for just under 140 euros. We hadn't imagined the best selection to be anything but. Despite the full house, there were still free seats outside. These can't be reserved, and we were just lucky. The service was friendly and prompt, and the food was very good. This more than makes up for the slightly higher prices.

Today was our second attempt. Disappointed again. On our first visit, we thought we'd get some advice. The question was whether to order Sushi à la Chef or Tashi's Family Style. We wanted sushi. The food arrived after 2 hours. And what's for 2 people? And for €100 – a truly delicious starter with kimchi, super-tasty tuna, and baby spinach in peanut sauce, and something else, made us want more. Then came two pieces of fried fish, one pan-fried salmon, and a few pieces of chicken in peanut sauce. Super disappointing. Oh, and for dessert, there was lemon sorbet, two small chocolate brownies, and a crème brûlée. So, today, we ordered and picked it up. SUSHI À LA CHEF. €90 for tuna that was served on overly hot rice. It was gray around the corner and didn't taste good. The "platter" also included surimi, fish leftovers that I wouldn't expect in a restaurant like this, let alone in a platter like this. Salmon, tuna, and surimi... a small piece of shrimp. Price-performance disaster! Oh, and last but not least, I ordered sushi for my wife and me, and two chicken nuggets/fries and one fish stick and fries for the kids. I want to pick it up instead of fish sticks... They then ordered noodles, which I didn't order, and shortly before closing time, they generously packed me three fish sticks in a box. Conclusion: great atmosphere right on the harbor, everything was chic. But a two-hour wait for the food. With super expensive food. Which, in my opinion, was absolutely not worth the price. A little side fact: We ordered sushi in Hamburg—you can't tell anyone that via Lieferando—paid half, and it was so incredibly delicious! Wouldn't eat there a third time!

The Tamatsu Restaurant is located right on the harbor. The location is excellent, and this is also reflected in the prices. Even though there were only two chefs working in the kitchen on a Wednesday evening in August 2025, we only had to wait 25 minutes after ordering for the food to be served. That was faster than expected. The food tastes very good. Everyone – young and old – enjoyed it immensely. Due to its location on the harbor, you sit outside at the tables "in the wind." The blankets on the chairs are therefore absolutely necessary.

As always, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was very friendly. We enjoy coming here again and again. It's best to make a reservation in advance...

We'd already visited the restaurant in Büsum and were thrilled. When we arrived at the Heiligenhafen restaurant, completely wet and cold after a long hike, we were immediately offered a table in a warm corner. We were also allowed to take blankets. The food was fantastic and very good value for money. We received friendly service, and the children were given something to color. We will definitely be back!

Update: This will also be true in July 2025: Absolutely delicious! Yes, it's expensive, but I'm willing to pay that much for quality! The octopus salad is highly recommended, and the sushi platter a la chef is perfect for trying a bit of everything. Then just order another roll for dessert ;-) We'll be back!

Unfortunately, instead of momos, I got jiaozi, which were served as momos. It's like getting an Italian ravioli with the same filling instead of a Swabian Maultasche. I was really looking forward to the momos. What a shame.

Best sushi in town! Absolutely amazing. Everything was delicious and super fresh. The surf and turf sushi roll is a must-try! It's amazing. Unfortunately, the service was poor. Inattentive and a bit chaotic. It could be much better. Otherwise, it's really great and I definitely recommend it. The best location in Heiligenhafen and a fantastic view of the sailing yachts.

I've been there twice already. The food is fantastic, the service really good. Unfortunately, on my last visit, a staff meeting was taking place a few tables away, and the discussion was quite loud. The restaurant was still empty, so we heard every word. It really spoiled our visit. Such conversations belong in a private room and are none of the guests' business.

It was super delicious, not only for tourists but also for the locals, it's simply something special. If it were possible, I would give it 6 stars.

The Poke Bowl is brilliant and blew my mind. Friendly staff. We've known all the Tamatsu locations by now. We sat under the stairs at the time, which was the only downside.

Definitely at least a 12 out of 10. From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was perfect. We've never had better sushi in Germany. When you can taste all the ingredients, it's really well done. The service was also top-notch, so we'll definitely be back next time we're in the area. Ten and the team were always attentive and approachable. We recommend Tamatsu to anyone who wants to eat good sushi.

A wonderful place that truly lives up to expectations! Upon arrival, we were greeted by staff with professional and good service. The food was very tasty, with flavors that felt well thought out and well balanced. My wife chose chicken sushi and I chose chicken with peanut sauce. Each dish felt like a small work of art, and we left the restaurant both full and very satisfied. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates quality, consideration and a memorable dining experience!

I've eaten here several times. The food is particularly delicious, and the service is generally very friendly. However, the lady with the short blonde hair and glasses needs to work on being more friendly. I've noticed this several times now; she doesn't make you feel welcome. A smile and a friendly greeting would help.

We ate here for the first time today: the family-style menu was super delicious, with a great selection of different specialties, such as sushi (perfect) and rump steak (on point). The service was excellent, the staff super friendly and knowledgeable, and they explained each dish individually. We'll be back.

We visited the Tamatsu restaurant in Heiligenhafen and had mixed feelings overall. The food was of very good quality – the sushi in particular really impressed us: fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. The value for money was also good, which isn't always the case with good Asian cuisine. Unfortunately, the overall experience was significantly dampened by the extremely long wait times. From ordering to the main course, it took about an hour, and dessert – just three scoops of ice cream – took another 30 minutes. Paying also took another 20 minutes. The restaurant was full, but the service was noticeably overwhelmed and often inattentive. You had the feeling that the staff simply couldn't keep up, even though they seemed to be trying. Conclusion: From a culinary perspective, Tamatsu is definitely worth a visit – especially for sushi lovers. However, those who value quick service or are traveling with children should either be patient or choose a less busy time to visit.

Very unfriendly service. I had to pay €34 for two rolls of sushi. If I'm treated appropriately, I'm happy to pay that. However, I was constantly being stared at, and whenever I looked back, I was told "Yeah, we'll be finished in a minute," even though I didn't ask for it. When I got my takeaway, I asked if they had packed me wasabi because it was raining. I was again rudely told to look in the bag before asking questions. A woman who was also working there witnessed me asking the man if he had a problem with me, as he seemed constantly angry. I took a photo of the food... It's a shame I can't upload it. It was served unappetizingly, and the slices were far too thin. Not worth €34 at all. I'm NEVER going into this place AGAIN!!!!!!!!

We stayed in Heiligenhafen for three nights. Tamatsu was within walking distance of our hotel and made a great impression. Honestly, we were absolutely thrilled. A very friendly welcome, the food was absolutely fantastic, and the service (especially Armando) was top-notch. We highly recommend this restaurant and feel free to ask for advice. We ended up going there twice. :) Great

We visited the restaurant with three friends on a May weekend evening and received a very warm welcome. The service was attentive and friendly, and they accommodated recommendations and special requests without batting an eyelid; it seems that anything that makes guests happy is possible here :) The ambiance is friendly and bright, with a view of the marina, yet cozy during sunset. A summer terrace invites you to linger in good weather. The restrooms were clean, and all the hand sanitizer dispensers were stocked. Highly recommended.

We've been going there for years... unfortunately, the service gets worse every year... In May, it was terrible... The food gets 5* and is always delicious. Actually, that's the only reason we still go...

The Tamatsu experience was a success for us. This slightly different restaurant can have both pros and cons. For us, it was absolutely pro, meaning we were thrilled. Sushi isn't our thing, but the menu offers plenty of other options, whether momos, spinach salad, or kimchi, all very, very tasty. Reservations would be a good idea; pick-up is no problem; our favorite is mixed tempura, a mix of vegetables and chicken. As always, everyone's tastes differ. We enjoyed it and will go back. We were there for lunch, it was very quiet and we were among the first guests. The starters were good. Afterwards we waited almost an hour for the main courses. I ordered sushi a la chef. Unfortunately, there was chilli mayo spread all over the sushi, something I didn't know from my previous sushi experiences. I am very sensitive to chili spiciness (wasabi can be used without any problems), which made it impossible for me to eat sushi. The service staff was not very accommodating and rather shrugged their shoulders and said that I should have mentioned this and that it had never been a problem before. For me it was the last visit there and the price/performance ratio wasn't right for me. The other dishes were okay, but didn't blow our minds.

Die Beratung durch den Service war super, das ganze Team war sehr freundlich. Das Essen wurde uns erklärt und es hat alles wirklich gut geschmeckt. Der Abend war ein schönes Erlebnis. Die Qualität rechtfertigt auch den Preis. Der Laden ist klein, die Tische stehen eng, aber dennoch kommt bei diesem Team keine störernde Hektik auf. Wir empfehlen das Restaurant gern weiter. Toll ist besonders die Deko außen. Da sitzt man im Sommer sicher schön.

Following a recommendation, we went to the restaurant and spontaneously got a table for two people (with several people, it's better to reserve a table in advance). We had sushi and it was just so delicious and the dessert “American cheesecake” with berries was a dream. The staff was very attentive and friendly all the time. We'll definitely be back.

We were on holiday in Schleswig Holstein. Just enjoyed a nice lunch in Heiligenhaven. Cosy restaurant on a nice promenade. Nice service that was interested in where we came from. The waiter had also worked in the Netherlands and could still speak a little Dutch. He had a nice chat with us.

The food and wine are A1. The service is very friendly and remains so even with impatient vacationers. And Tamatsu is conveniently located. We'll be back.

The food was super delicious, which you could enjoy with a beautiful view of the water. The price of the food was okay, as tuna is very expensive, but 6.80 for a beer is disproportionately expensive.
