Fish was very tasty and a good portion, Boeff Stroganoff and the service couldn't be beaten in terms of friendliness. Any time.

Rooms very antique but clean. Mold formation in the bathrooms could be combated. But I had problems sleeping at night, the background noise is quite annoying because of the draft noise. You keep thinking that the kitchen is directly below the room (on the 2nd floor) and that there is a lot of rioting going on there. The restaurant is highly recommended, delicious and reasonably priced. Our female waiter (around 30) was great, attentive, friendly and old school, just great!

Little food for a lot of money, the portions have become significantly smaller than a year ago. You will only feel full if you eat something at home afterwards.

On our last evening in Heiligenhafen we wanted to eat delicious fish. Since we didn't make a reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes, but it was definitely worth it. Our fish variations were super good and it was pretty quick, even though the fish was freshly prepared. The service was very nice and well organized. Overall, the restaurant is of course very attractive due to its location. We sat outside in the 'ship'.

The food was good, but especially in the case of the shrimp, the large portion of 8 shrimp for €25 was a disgrace. Selling this as a large portion without a note on the menu is cheeky.

Very tasty, traditional cuisine with a beautiful view of the harbor. We were here in March and it was already busy, but still pleasant for all guests. The waitresses were authentic and amusing and attentive. The store is definitely busy in the summer. The prices are very fair, almost too cheap compared to the other restaurants, which have increased significantly over the years. You don't have that here. As long as an additional charge goes into the pockets of the friendly waitresses, we personally wouldn't have had a problem with €2-5 more for dishes. We can highly recommend it.

We were completely thrilled with the restaurant and the food. The sailor's plate with four different fish fillets, crabs and mussels with fried potatoes (that don't drown in fat) is a poem for anyone who likes fish. The service was friendly and the atmosphere matched the theme. Rustic and unfussy is often better than these modern gourmet temples. However, one wonders where the drink prices should go from here. If you have to pay more than ¼ of the menu price for a wheat beer, I find it a bit steep. Normally I would like to order a second drink, but the price makes it impossible. The question is, how would you have made more sales? An expensive beer, or a little cheaper, but sold four instead of two...

Hello, a cozy hotel and restaurant with a good location by the water. Today we checked into the hotel with a good room but simply equipped and cold. I had the weekend January 31st. Have a very nice stay with the family in two beautiful rooms until 2/2/25. Everything went as previously agreed, as one party left early. Rooms, food, but above all the service was wonderful, personal, perfect. We can all only recommend this hotel, the restaurant and the surrounding area with 5 out of 5 stars. Gladly again! Wenn man in der Speisekarte mit Spezialität des Hauses wirbt sollte es lecker sein. Leider war das Labskaus das schlechteste das ich jemals gegessen habe. Die Gerichte meines Bruders und meiner Frau waren auch eher mäßig.

We ate in the restaurant. The service was very friendly. However, the food didn't convince me. Unfortunately, I didn't like the fried potatoes even after the salt tax was applied. Matjes was good, but very small and buried under arugula and onions. Potato salad okay. My husband had Labskaus, which he liked. Still, I would prefer other restaurants.

Restaurant- great fish. Friendly, fresh and good quality. Definitely recommended. We have been there about 2-3 times per season for several years now and it is consistently great, friendly and very tasty!!!

Whenever we are in Heiligenhafen again, we love coming to this cozy restaurant. The plaice and Königsberger Klopse were like my grandma's and the nice waiter was very attentive🔝

**Hotel Seestern in Heiligenhafen – A wonderful break by the sea** The hotel is a wonderful place for a relaxing holiday. Top location, excellent food, clean rooms and an exceptionally friendly staff make the hotel an absolute recommendation. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Restaurant with home cooking. Pickled herrings with fried potatoes, very good. Cod fillet with mustard sauce also good.

We had dinner with three people in the “Restaurant Ship” around late lunchtime. It wasn't very crowded, so we were able to order quickly and the dishes came to the table quickly. We ordered the Jägerschnitzel, Wiener-style schnitzel and the “Langen Hans”. The schnitzels were tender and juicy, the fries and croquettes had the right degree of browning for us. The fish fillets were fried to perfection, slightly crispy on the outside but not dry. The sauce was also good. The service was friendly and quick. All in all, a great price-performance ratio. Only recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Seestern! The room was minimalist, but absolutely adequately furnished and very clean. The service staff was always super friendly and accommodating. A table was always found for us despite the fact that the restaurant was usually fully reserved in the evening. The food was always fantastically prepared and for us it is by far the best in the whole of Heiligenhafen. The hotel is close to the harbor and everything worth seeing is within walking distance in just a few minutes. Price-performance is really wonderful here. We would love to come back and are already looking forward to the next time!

We booked the Hotel Seestern for 3 nights. We were warmly welcomed when we checked in. The rooms are completely fine and clean. A large panoramic window offers a beautiful view of the harbor. It is an older hotel, but the price-performance ratio is right. Breakfast was included with us. All I can say about breakfast is that it couldn't be better. There was plenty of it and the coffee was tasty. We then decided to have dinner at the hotel and we weren't disappointed there either. Finally, thanks to the whole team for the wonderful day.

My family and I visited the Seestern restaurant at the end of October 2024 - attracted by the positive reviews and the attractive outdoor area. A reservation is necessary - but not possible for outside areas. The service staff was largely friendly. The ambience in the interior is rather rustic with a variety of maritime, kitschy decorations. The food prices are slightly lower compared to other restaurants in the area, but the portions are correspondingly smaller. Even too small for me personally. All dishes consistently lacked salt. Serving bitter radicchio as a side salad with a child's plate definitely misses the target group. The side salad was okay, but bland. The menu suggests freshness, but serving a convenience lava muffin for dessert with mediocre vanilla ice cream doesn't necessarily have to be the case. The restaurant feels more mass-produced and overrated. There are definitely alternatives in Heiligenhafen that are worth a visit!

We weren't in the hotel, but "only" in the restaurant. For the umpteenth time. Food is great! And the price is right. My wife also really enjoys cooking fresh food. Is a vegetarian, but I eat fish and I also eat meat. Everything we got so far was really top (except mousse chocolate ;))

Beautiful, rustic traditional house with fabulous cuisine...! There were vacations when we ate here 7 days in a row and were always thrilled! Whether it's fresh fish, a delicious schnitzel or a dish from the daily menu, everything is simply great here! Every time we are in Heiligenhafen, a visit to a restaurant is mandatory.

Long-established and rustic fish restaurant in the middle of the harbor area of ​​Heiligenhafen with excellent cuisine and very friendly service! The fish soup and the fish fillet plate were very delicate, although the fried potatoes could have been a little crispier. Price/performance absolutely fine. All in all a top recommendation, we would love to come back when we are in Heiligenhafen.

I can't rate the room, we were there for dinner. It's okay, you can do it, but I don't find anything special. Everyone can find something on the menu, fish, meat, salad... The service was a bit stressful that evening, but it was also busy. We had made a reservation and would have liked to sit outside in the boat, it was quite loud inside. What we didn't like at all was that our side dishes of fries and fried potatoes were served in bowls and you had to share them. We were a group of six and didn't belong together so much that it was natural to share the food like that. Completely incomprehensible that it was even brought like this. One of our group had his fried potatoes on his plate. Four should share the side dishes. I've never experienced anything like this before and that's why I'm deducting a star, it's not possible.

During our holidays in Heiligenhafen we have been making reservations (table 5 :-) for our dinner at the Seestern restaurant for many years. The restaurant and the surrounding area are down-to-earth, the service is unique, and the friendliness and courtesy of the employees are unsurpassed. The quality of the food is good German cuisine and cannot be faulted. The price-performance ratio is reasonable. You also get the impression from the way employees treat each other that the internal relationship and the working atmosphere seem to be right. The staff is totally unfriendly and absolutely cannot handle criticism. The food wasn't hot but lukewarm - I've never had such bad fried potatoes or such a dry schnitzel anywhere before. You couldn't eat a drop of the pepper sauce and your throat was burning. When you pointed this out to the waitress, you got the answer that she was eating it herself, even though she was visibly overwhelmed throughout with 6 guests, just running back and forth and not doing anything about the food Overall it wasn't worth the money.

Food was okay. The meat wasn't completely cooked through and the side salads were missing sauce. An incredibly unfriendly staff. Two older men with and without beards served us. Both had didactic and provocative undertones. We felt very unwanted. We won't go here anymore!

Typische deutsche rustikale Küche. Als Vorspeise gab es Suppe und Muscheln - top. Auch im Winter draußen im Schiff zu sitzen, ist es warm, denn es werden zwei starke Heizstrahler zur Verfügung gestellt. Das Essen war gut, die Preise absolut fair, die Speisekarte vielfältig. Wir kommen wieder. Warum es keine Fünf Sterne gab, sondern nur vier? Wir haben nicht das bekommen, was wir bestellt haben, haben es aber trotzdem gegessen.

Ein tolles Restaurant mit Außenbereich. Nette Bedienung, bei der man auch gern fünf Minuten auf den Tisch wartet. Das Warten hat sich mehr als gelohnt. Regionale Fischspezialitäten verwöhnten alle Gaumen, dazu regionales Bier (Klüvers aus Neustadt i.H.) „Was will man me(e)hr!?

Der Seestern. Tradition. So war (und ist) dies ein Ostsee-Urlaub at it's best. Wer auf Schiki-Miki-Gedöns verzichten kann, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Ehrlicher Fisch, ehrlicher Service, wenn man das zu nehmen weiß. Klar, der Ton ist manchmal ruppig oder norddeutsch unterkühlt. Haben "im Schiff" im Außenbereich gesessen. Bier kalt (warum gibt es kein Flens? - aber das haben hier die Wenigsten) und leckerer Fisch (sehr heiß, aber das war bei dem obigen Wetter zu erwarten - wir hatten um 20:00 Uhr immer noch 24°C.) Wer auf traditionellen Ostsee-Urlaub (80er und 90er) steht, macht hier nichts falsch.

We ate at the Seestern Scholle restaurant, as we have done so often when we are in Heiligenhafen. It's our absolute favorite seafood restaurant on the coast. The price-performance ratio is very good. The plaice was very juicy, unfortunately the boiled potatoes had a pinch too much salt ;-) (that can happen). The service is very friendly and accommodating.

I spent a very nice vacation in Heiligenhafen with my wife. The Hotel Seestern is great. Very nice staff, we had a lot of fun. The rooms were great and the food was also great. We are already looking forward to the next visit. Kind regards to the entire starfish crew.

After looking at several local restaurants and their menus, we stopped at the Seestern restaurant. The service was open-minded, friendly and all around friendly. The food (crab soup, stuffed plaice fillet and coastal schnitzel) came quickly and was consistently delicious. What is extremely positive here is that the side dishes and sauces are served separately from the main course and can therefore be dosed or shared according to your own taste. Price-performance ratio was also completely appropriate, we will definitely come back!

Unfortunately, I left a restaurant in a rage for the first time today. Unfortunately there was a lack of service. 2 male service staff (without/and with a beard) were unable to serve us as a family with 2 kids under 3 years old. We were friendly and waited and looked. Nobody came to us. Previously we were sent off with a brief, unfriendly message. The service was simply ignorant. There was a lack of friendliness, helpfulness and competent service. We could go into more detail, but it's better to leave it at that
