Hotel Restaurant Seestern in Heiligenhafen

Alteingesessenes, in vierter Generation geführtes Fischlokal. Sehr lecker und empfehlenswert 🤗 Nicht täuschen lassen, sieht ein bisschen aus wie eine Touristenfalle, ist es aber nicht, unbedingt dort vorbeischauen.

Wir haben uns dazu entschieden Essen telefonisch zu bestellen und abzuholen, aufgrund dessen das es uns mit 2 Kleinkindern und Hund zu anstrengend gewesen wäre vor Ort zu essen. Als mein Mann das Essen abholen wollte war es noch nicht fertig, deswegen haben er und mein Sohn etwas zu trinken bekommen um die Zeit zu überbrücken. Ich muss auch ehrlich sagen: lieber so als das das Essen schon wer weiß wie lange da steht.. Wir waren wirklich begeistert, das Essen war total frisch und noch heiß, außerdem wissen wir nicht wann wir das letzte mal SO lecker gegessen haben. Der Lachs war Butterzart und bevor wir übermorgen abreisen werden wir dort aufjedenfall nochmal etwas zum Abschluss holen. Ganz klare Empfehlung!

„Leider war unser Restaurantbesuch insgesamt enttäuschend. Wir hatten Spargel sowie Fisch mit Sauce Hollandaise bestellt. Bereits beim Essen fiel auf, dass ich ein ungeeignetes Messer bekommen hatte, mit dem sich der Spargel kaum schneiden ließ. Zudem war auf dem Teller meines Sohnes nahezu keine Sauce Hollandaise vorhanden. Als ich sachlich und ruhig darauf hingewiesen habe und lediglich um ein anderes Messer bat sowie die fehlende Sauce erwähnte, reagierte die Bedienung äußerst unangemessen. Sie kam mit an den Tisch und stellte uns vor allen anderen Gästen lautstark bloß. Statt auf die Kritik einzugehen, wurden wir belehrt, wir hätten angeblich die Messer vertauscht und es sei seitens des Restaurants nichts falsch gemacht worden. Auf die fehlende Sauce wurde überhaupt nicht eingegangen. Zusätzlich war der Spargel auch noch nicht richtig gar. Fehler können passieren – entscheidend ist aber der Umgang damit. Und genau dieser war leider respektlos, unprofessionell und für uns sehr unangenehm. Das Essen war ohnehin eher unterdurchschnittlich, aber das Verhalten der Bedienung hat den Besuch endgültig zu einer sehr negativen Erfahrung gemacht.“

Wir waren heute dort essen und wirklich begeistert. Zwar mussten wir etwa 10 Minuten auf einen Tisch warten, aber das Personal war die ganze Zeit sehr bemüht, aufmerksam und ausgesprochen freundlich. Das Essen war geschmacklich richtig gut. Wir hatten Spargel mit Lachs, einmal Lachs mit Kartoffeln und für das Kind einen Backfisch mit Pommes. Besonders der Lachs war perfekt gebraten – schön saftig und auf den Punkt. Auch die anderen Gerichte waren frisch und lecker zubereitet. Trotz der kurzen Wartezeit hat sich der Besuch absolut gelohnt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Es war Super! Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Der Service war ausgezeichnet. Wir haben ganz traditionell gegessen: ein Schollengericht und ein Fleischgericht. Alles frisch und absolut erstklassig! Wir kommen wieder.

Das letzte Mal war vor etwa zwei Jahren hier, und nun bin ich wieder da. Und auch dieses Mal wurde ich nicht enttäuscht. Absolut großartig!

Kommen immer wenn wir in der Ecke sind zum Essen ins Seestern. Seid nunmehr ca. 30 Jahren War gestern wieder Top. Scholle und Schnitzel mit Scampi einfach gut. Die Teller sind leider für die Menge etwas zu klein. Dank an die Crew. Kommen immer gerne wieder.

Preislich ok personal sehr freundlich

Wir waren dort essen. Wir sind keine Hotelgäste gewesen. Als wir ankamen, war es noch verhältnismäßig leer. Leider wurde die Chance nicht ergriffen und hat dann gleich einmal angefragt, was wir gern hätten. Während wir wartenden wurde es voller und es wurde die Übersicht verloren, wer wann angekommen ist. Unsere Wartezeit allein für die Bestellung war für unseren Geschmack verhältnismäßig hoch. Da wir im Urlaub waren, haben wir das hingenommen. Das Essen war okay. Das Personal an unserem Tisch hatte sehr viel Spaß mit Freunden, die vorbeigekommen waren.

Sehr leckeres Essen, vor allem die Fischgerichte und die Garnelen haben es uns angetan. Schneller und freundlicher Service machen den Besuch im Restaurant Seestern zu einer bleibenden Erinnerung. Der Aussenbereich im "Schiff" ist beheizt und bietet daher auch bei kühleren Temperaturen einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Saubere Toiletten vorhanden. Wir empfehlen den Seestern uneingeschränkt weiter.

Ich war leider sehr enttäuscht von meinem Besuch in diesem Restaurant. Es gab einige Gäste, die sich extrem laut verhalten und viel Alkohol konsumiert haben.Das Personal wurde oft drauf angesprochen und es wurde nicht ernst gesagt das Sie bitte leise sein sollen.Man konnte sich nicht normal unterhalten, sogar kleine Kinder haben es geschafft leise zu sein und wissen wie man sich in einem Restaurant benimmt.

Wir waren heute spontan mit der Familie da und wurden vom super freundlichen Personal ganz besonders zuvorkommend in Empfang genommen. Auch ohne Reservierung und trotz vollem Haus, wurden wir sofort an einen der wenigen freien Tische geführt. Das Essen war dann anschließend wirklich einsame Spitze und in Bezug zu Preis und Menge unschlagbar. Wir haben es jedenfalls genossen und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Mit der Ostseecard gibt es auch noch eine kleine gratis Überraschung.

Wir waren im Seestern Heiligenhafen und sind echt begeistert! Der Service ist einfach Hammer – super freundliches Personal, aufmerksam und locker drauf, genau so muss das sein. Das Essen war richtig stark: Geschmack top, alles frisch und schön angerichtet. Schnitzel mega, Cordon Bleu auch richtig lecker. Preise absolut fair für die Qualität. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt: Wenn man statt Pommes Bratkartoffeln möchte, werden 2 € extra berechnet – fand ich persönlich etwas unnötig. Cooles Extra: Mit der Ostsee-Karte gibt’s sogar rote Grütze oder einen Schnaps kostenlos 👍 Reservieren lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, aber mit ein bisschen Wartezeit bekommt man auch so einen Platz.

Sehr empfehlenswert. Essen (Scholle) war hervorragend, Personal freundlich und familiäre Atmosphäre.

Gemischte Gefühle... Wir waren 2mal dort. Am ersten Abend waren wir beide begeistert - der Backfisch war lecker und die "Küstenpasta" einfach nur großartig! Deshalb gleich am nächsten Tag wieder zum Abendessen dorthin. Der Fischteller (mit Senfsoße) war gut, aber das Labskaus... Mien Opa hett seggt: Dat smeckt nich nach em un nich nach ehr... So ein geschmacksneutrales Labskaus hatte ich noch nicht. Schade! Also ein gemischtes Urteil - aber von 4 Essen dreimal gut ist ja auch okay 😉👍🏻

Das Hotel: Die Zimmer sind tatsächlich etwas in die Jahre gekommen, auch die Ablage im Bad hätte man professioneller lösen können. Teppich ist auch nicht mehr zeitgemäß, aber für 1 oder 2 Übernachtungen völlig ok. Dafür ist es sehr sauber. Das Restaurant: Personal super freundlich, sympathisch und für nem Klön zu haben. Das Essen ( Muscheln) waren super legga. Die Fleischportion hätte etwas üppiger ausfallen dürfen. Geschmacklich alles klasse. Das Frühstück: Mal nicht laufen müssen, sondern am Tisch bedient zu werden, hat man kaum noch. Ebenso frische Bäckerbrötchen. Auf Wunsch wurde nachgelegt. Es war reichlich und auch Auswahl. Einziges Manko: den Cafe hätte ich mir in einer Warmhaltekanne gewünscht, da er schnell kalte wurde in dem Kännchen.

Sehr freundliches Personal ,gutes Zeitmangentment,leider war das Schweinefleisch zu lange in der Pfanne und daher zu trocken gewesen .

Das Restaurant ist einfach grandios. Wir gehen hier schon ewig hin. Als ich klein war, waren wir schon immer mit meiner Oma hier essen und es war jedes Mal sehr, sehr lecker. Ich kenne bis heute kein Fischrestaurant, das uns so gut gefällt und so konstant abliefert. Auch das Ambiente ist super, man fühlt sich wirklich wie an der See, unter guten Leuten. Einziger Nachteil: Das Restaurant ist immer sehr gut besucht und oft richtig voll, also unbedingt vorher reservieren. Im Sommer gibt es draußen vor dem Gebäude sogar noch ein tolles Schiff mit Sitzplätzen. Herrlich.

Wir haben dort heute gegessen und waren rundum zufrieden. Wir würden dort auf jeden Fall wieder essen gehen.

So, waren schon wieder hier... und das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Bedienung Frau...? war sehr nett und richtig gut drauf für einen kurzen Klönschnack; hat uns sehr gut gefallen und kommen wieder.

Das Restaurant Seestern hat einfach eine 1A Lage, direkt am Beginn der Hafenmeile. Das Ambiente ist maritim und mit viel Liebe fürs Detail sehr stimmig im ganzen Lokal. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist vielseitig und geschmacklich außerordentlich gut, weshalb auch außerhalb der Saison fast alle Tische belegt sind! (Freitag Abend) Wer nur etwas trinken möchte findet auch ganz klassisch einen Platz an der Theke. Bei den Toiletten gibt es ebenfalls eine Wickelstation für Kleinkinder.

Wow 🤩 Hier hat man( Frau & Mann ) ein sicheres Gefühl der gastfreundlichen miteinander in jeder Hinsicht. Zimmer sauber 🧽 gepflegt Essen 🥘..nach Norddeutscher Schnauze perfekt umgesetzt. Wir waren heute spontan zu viert im Seestern zu Gast. Das Essen hat eine herausragende Qualität. Sowohl den Schnitzeln als auch dem Fisch merkt man deutlich die Frische und die Handwerkskunst der Küche an. Auch das vegetarische Gericht, Pasta mit Gemüse, Pesto und Pinienkernen war hervorragend. Auch die Mengen sind mehr als ausreichend. Der Service war absolut freundlich, zuvorkommend und herzlich. Danke für dieses schöne Neujahrsessen.

We've eaten there several times on vacation and are absolutely thrilled every time! The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is delicious. It's dog-friendly, too, and my dog, Lotti, even got a little bowl of treats.

The rooms are seriously dated. At €150 for a double room, especially in the off-season, a bit more comfort would be desirable. The description "maritime flair" merely referred to a wooden anchor on the wall! The bathroom no longer meets modern standards. Breakfast, on the other hand, was excellent!

We only ate at the restaurant and didn't stay overnight. The food was absolutely delicious. We're absolute fish eaters and know several regions and their restaurants. But what we were offered here was truly worthy of a Michelin star. Nothing fancy, just honest and truly delicious dishes. The service was also incredibly friendly and truly top-notch. We've already booked our next visit today and will definitely be back. The restaurant is worth every detour! Best regards to the team

We got a seat on the heated terrace without having to wait. The staff was attentive and very friendly. The food arrived after a short wait, even though it was quite busy. The food was plentiful and very tasty. I think the prices are fair.

We visited the Seestern restaurant for the first time today and were absolutely thrilled! The food was fantastic, the service wonderful! Attentive, super friendly, and just in a good mood despite the crowds!

We were just a couple who wanted a drink in the evening and were turned away, despite plenty of free tables. We wouldn't have been welcome without something to eat. Okay, then we'll take our money somewhere else. You can't make any money from drinks, can you? Some people have it too good.

On our way back from Fehmarn, we always stop at this restaurant. Because the food always tastes the best here. The service is always friendly and helpful. We had plaice and four types of fish, fried plain, with fried potatoes. The taste was always top-notch, fresh, and well-prepared. The fried potatoes were also good. Not at all greasy like in most restaurants. The value for money is always excellent here. Keep it up, we'll be back!

This is the second time we've eaten fish at this restaurant, and we're absolutely thrilled. Everything is just right here: the fish is delicious, and the staff are very attentive and very friendly. Upscale atmosphere in authentic seaport style, with a wide selection of delicious seafood.

A bit rude at times. Guests were treated a bit rudely. Very hectic, everything was loud, and there was no music. People stood in line and waited 30 minutes for a table at Schmitt, but reserved tables were empty for a long time. Even guests who had reserved a table still had to wait at the bar. Drinks also took a long time. The food was good, though. The price was also reasonable.

We had dinner in the boat today (heated "terrace") and were thrilled. Since you can't make reservations there, we had to wait about 10 minutes at the bar, where we were able to have an aperitif. Then a table became available for us. The service staff is superbly organized and incredibly friendly. And the food: top-notch. Highly recommended. We'll be back.

We were there for the first time seven years ago. And now again. I might even say, given the convincing value for money, that it's the best restaurant in town.

A definite recommendation! We ate here as a couple with our dog and were very satisfied. We didn't have to wait long, the service was very friendly, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was delicious. We'd love to come back! (We can't comment on the hotel as we didn't stay there.)

When we come to Heiligenhafen, we come to our second home. And when we eat at the Seestern, the same applies. The same great staff for what feels like 25 years, the manager takes care of our dog, the food is divine, and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended, and thank you.

We ate at Seestern today, and it was really good! I'm not happy, though, that a reorder of two very small slices of garlic bread costs a whopping €3 ❗️We found it on our bill and find it very outrageous ❗️😡

We visited the restaurant. It's very well-maintained and beautifully decorated. You can see that a lot of work and effort has gone into it. The staff was consistently friendly. The food was delicious and plentiful. Highly recommended.

To my great delight, I stopped here. I had the plain plaice, and it was truly delicious. While I was eating, I could hear the praises of the guests all around me. Highly recommended! Portions were quite large and really good value for money.

The location is wonderfully central yet quiet. The staff is exceptionally friendly—even when things get hectic at times. The breakfast is beautifully prepared, individually prepared, and served at your table. Only the kitchen closed earlier than advertised, so we unfortunately had to skip dinner the first evening. The very generous and delicious food on the second evening made up for everything. We felt very comfortable. Our dog was also very welcome. We would gladly come back.

Anyone who enjoys good food should definitely come here. Great staff, always friendly no matter how busy it is, and the food is perfect and delicious. High praise for the kitchen and service. This makes eating out on vacation a pleasure.

We've been there three times now, and if we're in Heilingenhafen a fourth time, we'll go there again.

We ate at this restaurant three times during our vacation. The food was very tasty and the portions were generous. On the last evening, the portion was very small. When we inquired, we were told that the fish had become more expensive and that the portion would also cost €2 more than stated on the menu. This would have been fine if the waiter had informed us of this before our meal and not simply added €2 to the bill. Even a complaint was of no use. Thus, a positive impression was unpleasantly ruined.

Simply a top-notch hotel. Highly recommended. The food there is simply fantastic.

We stayed at the hotel with our little one for two nights in a superior room. It was a decent size, clean, and had a lovely view of the harbor with large windows and a balcony. The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating. The breakfast selection was absolutely sufficient and more than filling. There was a refrigerator and a TV in the room. My little family and I can highly recommend the hotel. A small criticism: our bed was a bit creaky. Best regards and all the best to the owner and staff. H.R.

We visited the restaurant several times during our vacation. The food is very good, and so is the service!

The restaurant is perfect—great service, delicious food (the best plaice on the Baltic Sea), and fast service! We've been coming here for years and will continue to do so.

Ate there twice, both times it was delicious. Friendly service, the ambiance was very rustic and dated.

Addendum: July/August 2025. Everything was top-notch again this year: food, service. We were lucky and got seats on the "Schiff" again. 2024. As always, very good and delicious. A lovely restaurant right on the harbor. If you're lucky, you can also sit outside on the "Schiff."

The quality of the food has remained consistently high over the years, and your staff always have a friendly word on their lips—even when it's packed and they're working themselves to the bone. The food was great, rather classic but, as I said, good. We had a short wait at the counter, but that was okay. We sat outside in the boat in January; the two gas heaters weren't enough; it was much too chilly for us and others. All in all, it's still worth a stop.

I really liked the Hotel Restaurant Seestern in Heiligenhafen. The location, right on the beach promenade and the harbor, is simply perfect—you're right on the water. The staff was super friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable, even if the decor was a bit dated. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, which was served at your table, and the food in the restaurant—the fish dishes in particular were truly delicious. Overall, I found it very pleasant and would definitely come back.

The service was excellent – the waiter really went the extra mile! Despite our spontaneous request for eight people, we still managed to get a table without a reservation, which is a real positive. Unfortunately, the food wasn't convincing in terms of value for money. The fried potatoes were significantly too greasy, and the fish was unfortunately too dry. Additionally, we ordered two identical dishes, but initially only received fried potatoes once. However, upon request, the waiter quickly and friendly brought more – at no extra cost. Overall, a mixed impression: very good service, food could be improved.

A true gem in Heiligenhafen! The restaurant at the Hotel Seestern impressed us with its warm atmosphere, excellent cuisine, and exceptionally friendly service. You feel welcome from the moment you arrive – the staff is attentive, friendly, and at the same time pleasantly unobtrusive. Despite the full house, we were served quickly and were well looked after. A reservation is definitely recommended! The evening was a culinary hit: The Pannfisch (pan-fried fish) was outstanding – cooked to perfection, with a delicate sauce, and perfectly seasoned. You should also definitely try the house-brewed lager beer "Bugwelle" – drinkable, fresh, and a true highlight of North German cuisine. A restaurant that impresses with its attention to detail – both in the kitchen and in the service. We will definitely be back and recommend it without reservation!

About the restaurant: Friendly staff. Always on the ball, but not too pushy. At a fish restaurant, you have to eat fish. Here, the fish tastes like fish. Here, you'll be full.
