Steakhouse Taurus in Heiligenhafen

Ich habe selten so ein gutes und geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Steakhouse besucht wie das Taurus, welches zentral im alten Hafen von Heiligenhafen liegt. Ich hatte ein 350 g Hüftsteak, welches auf dem Punkt auf dem Lavastein gegrillt war! Dieses wurde mit Brot serviert. Besonders gut fand ich es, dass man sich die Beilagen dazu vom reichhaltigen Buffet nehmen konnte. Kartoffelgratin, Pommes und Pasta, verschiedene Gemüse und der Salat waren sehr lecker! Der Service war ausgesprochen freundlich, herzlich und kompetent. Wir kommen gerne wieder, wenn wir in Heiligenhafen sind! Reservierung zwingend empfohlen, da das Restaurant um 18:00 Uhr schon komplett voll besetzt war.

After the online reservation supposedly didn't arrive (despite multiple confirmation emails and SMS), we were allowed to wait in front of the store for 40 minutes as ordered and not picked up. Other people (probably regular guests) were at least offered something to drink while they waited. After we finally got to the restaurant, drinks and food came quite quickly. The food was really good! But now, unfortunately, another negative thing. If I put down an amount without comment when paying, that means it doesn't work for me! But apparently it does here! There wasn't a receipt either and the boss probably wasn't particularly interested in this behavior. What a shame actually! Nevertheless, the food was good.

Das Essen war wirklich lecker, es ist leider abends vermutlich immer sehr voll und unruhig. Das Restaurant ist relativ eng bestuhlt. Wir waren zufrieden aber um sich nett zu unterhalten ist es in der Regel leider zu laut. Zu den Steaks gibt es Beilagen vom Buffet. Mal ein anderes Prinzip. Allerdings schade dass man Klassiker wie Pommes und Ofen Kartoffel extra gegen Aufpreis bestellen muss und das Buffet nicht auslassen kann. Zu loben ist aber dass man für Kinder auch nur das Buffet bestellen kann und die Kinder sich dort nach belieben bedienen können.

A sentence with an X, that was probably nothing. We are totally disappointed 😞 First the positive: - Service friendly - Waiting time within limits Unfortunately that was it... Now the negative aspects: - Half of the pieces of meat on my Taurus plate were almost raw - Add salt to the tuna steak - The baked potatoes from the warm buffet were soggy and over-seasoned - The bacon beans totally watery and almost tasteless - the grilled vegetables were very clear and partly burnt black We have rarely been so disappointed, there was no apology in the form of an espresso or something similar. Despite us expressing criticism, it doesn't help if I let every single component of the Taurus plate go back when I eat it, who wants to do that!? Our conclusion: The last reviews available here are very similar in terms of content, which suggests that something is wrong. Unfortunately we fell for it, I hope I can save others from this.

We ate there with 3 people. Really very attractive facility. Very friendly, unobtrusive service staff. The food was absolutely great!! Entrecote grilled to perfection, the Taurus plate at least as tasty and rich as the turkey steak. The side dish buffet is always freshly refilled and really tasty ☝️‼️ This restaurant is fully recommended ‼️ It wasn't the first time we were there, and it won't be the last time either ☝️😊

On our first visits we were very impressed with the food and service. This time we were very disappointed. Reservation online not possible because it was supposedly defective and when we made the reservation by phone we were there in time and after 45 minutes we still didn't have a table. Then they left again. This year the restaurant will no longer see us.

A restaurant where you can really feel comfortable, with great service and very good food.

We went there for the first time on vacation and had reserved a table for 6 p.m. At 5:55 p.m. we were put off and asked for 10 minutes. Well, I had a strange feeling. But then they went back in after 10 minutes. Reservations are probably not viewed as strictly there. Ambiance was quite good. Tables and chairs were a bit mismatched, so you sat very low. Then we were made to sit for a while and serve everyone else around us. The store was full. At some point we started and drinks and dishes were ordered. A fillet steak, a schnitzel and a zander fillet. The salad buffet and side dish buffet were included with the steak. You could get supplies there as often as you wanted. Unfortunately the fish and the schnitzel were not good at all. There was very little fish, hard, oversalted, burnt at the bottom, and including a few bones. The truffled baby spinach was very hard and coarse, including the stalks, and very bitter. So almost nothing of the pike perch fillet was edible. There were a few fried potatoes as side dishes. So the zander fillet turned out to be a total failure. The schnitzel was also very hard and had been in the deep fryer for too long. The fries are hard and tasteless. In addition, the schnitzel was mixed with spinach unannounced. Overall, however, the dish served as food and was able to satisfy hunger. At the end there was something pleasant - the steak (fillet, medium), the pepper sauce, the fried mushrooms with onions and the side dishes were exceptional! Delicious! You could also get side dishes several times. The criticism was responded to inappropriately and people tried to defend themselves by portraying the criticism as a lie and thus even drawing attention to the situation. That was really very embarrassing - for the restaurant of course! In between, no one asked whether they were satisfied. Since it is a steakhouse and the fillet was really good, I give it 3 stars despite the above and the high price. But you really shouldn't order anything else there! But there are also other steak houses, we won't go there again.

We spontaneously went to Taurus today and went out super satisfied and full. Great and cozy atmosphere, super friendly and attentive service throughout and a big compliment to the kitchen, the food was fantastic. A pleasure for the palate and for the soul. We will definitely come back and have recommended you straight away.

Vi ventede 1 time og 20 min på maden. Da den endelig kom, fik kun 3 ud af 4 personer noget af deres mad. Resten af maden måtte vi spørge efter, der kom 15 min. senere, hvor kødet i mellemtiden var blevet kold. Bestik og servietter måtte vi også selv spørge efter. Da al maden endelig var kommet, vil jeg så sige at det smagte godt. Ejeren var meget ubehøvlet, sagde at vi ikke skulle beklage os og skældte på personalet.

Dårlige service og uforskammet chef overfor kunder og tjenere. For lang ventetid hvor vi ventede 1 time på mad. Fok mad forskudt af hinanden og måtte rykke for sovs og pommesfrites.

Great service, and the steak was certainly among the 5 best I've eaten in my 44 years. The price is also completely reasonable, especially considering the side dish buffet. Gladly again when you are in the region again.

Hello, it was very crowded when we were there. Nevertheless, we got a place without a reservation. The food was very good and really tasty. Reasonably priced. The team on site was very friendly, attentive and committed.

Var på hemresa med scandorama. Vet inte om de upphandlat maten men den var näst intill oätlig. Jag åt fisk, panerad med pannkakssmet (stenhård) och min man åt pannkaka med grönsaksfyllning. Vi gillar stark mat men pannkakan var fylld med grovmalen svartpeppar och dessutom var höljet hårt och oaptitligt. Varning för detta ställe om du reser med Scandorama. Vad som helst i ätlig form är bättre än att betala 190 kr för detta!

Unfortunately the service was not satisfactory. After 15 minutes someone came to the table. I then went into the restaurant to order my second drink and pay, as unfortunately no one took any notice of us. That was really not good, when someone was there, they were very friendly. The steak was very good and so was the risotto. There is nothing wrong with the quality of the food.

Great steakhouse with a great terrace at the harbor in Heiligenhafen. Very nice and friendly service, food was exceptionally good, not just meat dishes but fish dishes were also very good. For some dishes there are also warm side dishes and salad from the buffet. Price for a steakhouse with this top quality is simply TOP!!

Really a warm welcome with super accommodating waiters. The steak is a real culinary delight; in fact, I have never had a steak as good as here. The salad and side dish buffet is also well stocked. All in all it was a successful dinner. Gladly again!

We had beef spareribs for €24.90; ordered a fillet steak 200 g for €35.40 and the Taurusburger for €19.90. The spare ribs consisted mostly of bones and fat and were inedible. The fillet steak was not medium rare, but rather well done but tender. The price wasn't reasonable for the burger. When asked about the poor quality of the spareribs, the waiter simply said "he's sorry, it can happen sometimes". He offered 2 grappa as compensation. For a "steakhouse" I would have expected more in the core competence of "meat". Therefore only one star!

Great steakhouse. Very nicely decorated. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The side dish buffet was also very tasty. Be sure to try the desserts too, especially the parfait was great. Plus super friendly service. Despite the stress, the two ladies always had a smile on their faces and provided great service. An all-round successful evening and a nice “new” place to go in Heiligenhafen.

The welcome was very warm. We were even able to get a table outside. The subsequent order for drinks was received with continued friendliness and promptly brought to our table by the great service staff. The view and the ambience were unbeatable 👍🏼 then we ordered our main courses. Our steaks came with a cold/warm buffet, which we were also allowed to help ourselves to. Everything was very tasty 😋 the steaks were juicy, tender and incredibly tasty 🤤 We enjoyed the rump steak, fillet and the Taurus plate. A top address at the marina.

Went out for dinner at 5:00 p.m. without a reservation. We were looking forward to a delicious steak/meat. Unfortunately, the manager in the restaurant didn't give us a very friendly welcome and we were immediately ordered outside into the garden - the seats there were in the sun (very hot) and uncomfortable, despite the parasol. The service was quick and friendly, but everything seemed rushed and crowded and we didn't have the feeling that we could dine in a relaxed manner. It's a shame because the food was good. Price: upscale

We went to a steakhouse to celebrate a friend's birthday on a Tuesday evening. The spareribs (pork) were very tasty. The meat fell easily off the bone and was very tender. The side dishes are taken from the buffet. There are both salads and warm dishes such as: B. Truffle mashed potatoes. Both the main course and both side dish buffets were impeccable. From my point of view the rating is good, from the point of view of other birthday guests it is not (hence -1 star), because... 1. We waited over an hour for the food and watched all the other tables before us being served. 2. When the time finally came, one dish was missing! It wasn't recorded. As compensation we were only offered a grappa.

We go there every year as a family and we feel good every time. The food is delicious, the service is top. A real recommendation ☺️especially the Taurus Burger! :)

The steaks are a delight, the meat is of wonderful quality. The chef can also manage a 500 g piece of rare without you tasting it in the fridge. If vegans get lost in this shop, sorry guys, please don't take up space for meat lovers. The team is great and attentive.

Really nice outdoor area and very friendly staff! A water bowl was immediately brought for the dog. The boss himself was in the kitchen and the quality of the steaks was very good! Side dishes and salads from the buffet were included in the steak price and were very tasty! We'd love to come back!

I was here for the first time this evening with my two children. Very, very friendly staff, we particularly noticed Franzi. What charisma, what friendly nature! There was such a great smile on her face the whole time. We felt totally comfortable! The food was also very tasty, although I have to say that my children didn't actually have to order anything, as they more or less ate their fill at the warm buffet - they liked the potato casserole 😂 According to them, it tasted much better than usual Home...🙈😅well...we just had the rest packed up and have something to eat tomorrow. It was very nice with you and if we are in the area again, we would be happy to come back.

We returned to Taurus for the second time today. The first time it was great. Even today, for the second time, we were not disappointed. The steaks are of the finest quality and so are the accompanying side dishes and salad buffet. Here you can only give top marks. The service is also extremely nice and accommodating. The boss is present and has his team under control so that processes work well. Ambiance also wonderful. We will definitely come back and recommend it. Keep it up.

We had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant without a reservation and were still seated immediately. The waiter Jason was particularly remarkable – super nice and very solution-oriented. The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We can particularly recommend the steak and the Taurus plate, both were excellently prepared and delicious. The side dish buffet, which is offered as an all-you-can-eat, was also great and left nothing to be desired. The ambience of the restaurant is simply great, we felt very comfortable. We will definitely come back!

NEVER AGAIN!!! The service is unreasonable. First no cutlery, then 1 napkin too few. The wrong wine bottle followed, and when pouring the correct wine bottle that was brought later, the glasses were used as drip catchers. When the food was served one thing was missing (4 people and 3 dishes, that wasn't noticed)

Unfortunately, today was a complete disaster. We waited 20 minutes before we could place the order. We then got a non-flambéed steak soaked in alcohol. It took 10 minutes before we could complain. We had to wait again until we got the bill at the end. We've been here several times. Unfortunately our complaint was not addressed. It was claimed that they were overloaded and we should understand that. It doesn't work at all. It's a shame the steakhouse has gone downhill.

We went to the Taurus Steakhouse for dinner today. The reception was very friendly and we were able to choose a table outside. The atmosphere outside was very inviting. The menu is sufficiently large, but there is not much choice for vegetarians. The service was very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty. If you order steak or BBQ, you can choose salad and side dishes from the buffet. One star deducted for the really long waiting time. Although it was full, there was only one waiter taking food and drinks. Unfortunately, it took a very long time (almost 30 minutes) before we could order the food because a table kept flagging down this waiter and he didn't come over at all. At least we already had drinks. The other waiters only brought out food and drinks.

6'2024 Addendum: After we had been to the steakhouse again, this time we were really disappointed. Despite correction, the steak could not be served medium rare. The boss reacted to objective criticism in an extremely cheeky, impulsive and loud manner. By the way, the next table also complained that the cooking time was too long. The waiter took the salad plate and later the main plate, even though I hadn't swallowed everything and my husband was still eating. After paying, the boss told us that he didn't want to see us again. As if we planned to come back again. Conclusion: If you can't tolerate criticism, you shouldn't ask. 12'2023 We discovered the steakhouse by chance while on vacation, and since then we've been coming by every time we're there. Best steakhouse ever, with quick and friendly staff. The atmosphere is loving and high quality.

There's not much to add. That was the best steak I've eaten in a long time. Maybe I was just lucky, 😉 A reservation is strongly recommended. Otherwise there is no space during the season. That speaks for itself. The owner also runs the Italian restaurant right in front of the intersection. Price-performance, service, everything was great... It's better not to go there, otherwise I won't get a place there next time...😆

So something is wrong with the reviews here. Unfortunately, the side dishes and salad bar are not good at all and my steak was ok, but unfortunately not medium as ordered. Everything took forever and we had eaten the side dishes and salad for a long time before the meat finally arrived. The store seems totally understaffed. Waiters were nice but totally overwhelmed. Boss, as already described here several times, is a choleric who loudly insults guests. It was also expensive. But you can get real top-quality food elsewhere... We were very disappointed with the many stars here!!

I visited the restaurant several times this year. Great concept with side dishes and salad buffet. Quality is great and service is good. Even for me as a vegetarian there was a selection of delicious dishes, even though the Taurus is a steakhouse.

Rarely (probably never before) had such good spareribs. We conveniently ordered a table for two online quite spontaneously that same evening. Once there, we were pleasantly surprised by the smart buffet system of salads and side dishes. The main courses were absolutely amazing: I had fantastically tender spare ribs that fell off the bone on their own. And at a price that was really more than reasonable. Top! Also worth mentioning was the service, which showed both the necessary professionalism and the desired relaxedness and, above all, was extremely attentive. It is not usual for a steak house to also offer vegetarian options. Even if I can't say anything about the taste, I think it's worth mentioning and praising. The only small drawback: the tables within the restaurant are quite close together, so it can get a bit noisy. Beyond that, definitely a big recommendation!

I didn't visit the steakhouse. We stood briefly in the parking lot to pick up a lamp from the stand at the Heiligenhafen Festival after consultation. The boss personally deliberately parked the vehicles parked there. So I happily went into the restaurant and asked the boss if he could let me out. He also came after 5 minutes, very unfriendly and started rumbling straight away. Honestly, please people, don't spend any money on this. Anyone who treats a future guest like this has already lost. Excellent quality of the food, best service from staff (warm and courteous and attentive), very cozy, prices commensurate with the quality. Clear recommendation to stop there. We are completely satisfied. We will definitely eat again. The sanitary facilities were also great. Comfortably furnished and clean.

We had several fantastic evenings at the Steakhouse Taurus in Heiligenhafen! The service was consistently friendly and very attentive, so we immediately felt at home. The ambience is perfectly coordinated and creates a cozy atmosphere. The location at the harbor also gives the restaurant a special charm. The steaks were cooked to perfection and done exactly as ordered. An absolute highlight was the American cheesecake for dessert – simply heavenly! We will definitely be back and can fully recommend the Steakhouse Taurus.

The service was top, the staff was very friendly and attentive. I can only recommend the food, we had rump steak, rump steak and poultry plus side dishes. One more tip: reserve a table in advance.

The steak quality was top and the cooking point was perfect. Because there is a salad and side dish buffet, it is also unbeatable in terms of value for money. Much more than a steakhouse. In addition to the usual meat dishes, there are also great vegetarian dishes and everything is freshly prepared. The bruschetta appetizer with fried arugula was simply great. Really great shop.

The ambience would be great if it wasn't so cramped. The house is full and therefore quite loud. However, I can understand that: if more guests come, the owner can probably keep prices reasonable.

In this steakhouse you can experience how good and yet “casual” service works. The food was absolutely top!! Both the steak and my fish were prepared absolutely perfectly. Fries (not everyone can do that!!) fried nice and crispy. The staff is young, but still POSITIVELY smart. We were specifically pointed out about the salad buffet, and the pepper mill, which came without pepper, was quickly corrected. Absolutely top and highly recommended.
