Very tasty food in a casual atmosphere right on the Danube. The Indian street food is unique in Regensburg 👌👌👌

Really bad experience. Don't serve food with Indian label in this country.

Today we are going to the Taj Mahal as a family for the children's graduation. Beautiful garden that is perfect for sitting and eating. We had lamb chops, butter chicken and beef in a mild nut sauce. Food came quickly and everything was together at one table. Lamb was butter tender and the sauce was to die for. There was as much rice as you could get. We also had Indian naan bread. A wonderfully successful evening See you next time

We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and given the choice of a spot outside. The menu was brought to us immediately and we were able to order drinks and food within 10 minutes. Service very friendly and attentive! I haven't enjoyed Thai cuisine so much in a long time, very tasty food in a nice atmosphere!

One of the waitresses wasn't very friendly. Questions about the dishes that were different on the outside menu than on the menu in the restaurant were pretty much brushed off. The food was quite good, but the quality varied depending on what you ordered. Overall, we were satisfied with the visit, although not outstanding.

The Taj Mahal is an Indian restaurant on the Upper Wörth. We've been there for dinner several times. Atmosphere/location The overall atmosphere in the restaurant can be rated as very good. The restaurant may seem small inside, but it has a nice traditional charm. Parking spaces are available in a parking bay in front of the restaurant. service The service is quite quick and attentive. Drinks and food were served quickly. Food For starters we had vegetarian soup, chicken soup and breaded vegetables. The starters tasted good, unfortunately the price-quantity ratio wasn't right. Chicken Tikka Massala and a dish with okra for the main course tasted good and were ok in terms of price. The dressing on the side salad served with it seemed like ready-made dressing and I didn't like it. Summary -The price-quantity ratio of the starters should be worked on. Portions too small. -Guava spritzer is missing from the drinks menu. This is common at Indian restaurants and would be a nice addition. -please work on the salad dressing. -Food otherwise good 3.5-4 stars. Recommended if you are in the area.

Super tasty and excellent people there

We visit at any time of the year and I have never been disappointed. The warm Nann bread 🍞 is excellent to kneel in 👍

A nice lunch with aftermath. The hot food was placed on the table including the slippery heating plate or tried. My 6 year old daughter falls down and gets caught. This was completely dirty and burned her hand. I now spend Sunday doing laundry. When paying (without a discount!!!) we were told that it had been put on the table like this for 30 years without any accidents and it was bad luck that the little one got it. I just replied that the hot food could have scalded her face. Dessert was then offered on the house. We then left because there was no insight.

The food is very nice and if you go for lunch the prices are also very good. But the ambience could be a little better.

The food is North Indian and really tasty, the naan is a freshly prepared dream and last but not least: if you like it Indian spicy, a little hint is enough...

The food was good, but nothing special. The restaurant inside is nice. Unfortunately the cellar lady wasn't entirely friendly. We wanted to pay with the card, then she said it wasn't possible. We have now seen how the other guests paid with the card. We didn't want to argue with her and paid in cash. But we didn't get the bill...

It was my first time eating Indian food and I was pleasantly surprised. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. My dishes had a pleasant spiciness. I can recommend it.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal dort und fanden es dort gleich sehr ungemütlich. Wir hatten noch nicht die Vorspeise auf, schon wurde das Essen gebracht. Nichts besonderes, für ein indisches Restaurant. Geschmacklich nicht gut gewürzt und auch etwas wenig. Daher können wir es nicht empfehlen.

Sehr gutes Essen! Toll, dass man hier richtiges Hühnerfleisch bekommt, in Zeiten, wo jeder Pressfleisch verarbeitet. Auch preislich komplett angenehm; könnten sich die Brauhäuser eine Scheibe von abschneiden, da ja die Preise abnormal explodiert sind seit diesem Jahr. Taj Mahal kann ich nur empfehlen! Der Sommergarten ist auch super schön an der Donau gelegen und nicht so überlaufen, wie an der Steinernen Brücke.

Das Restaurant war super! Die Atmosphäre war top, der Service ein Wahnsinn. Sie nahmen unsere kurzfristige Reservierung noch an. Das Essen war mega lecker.

Das Essen ist geschmacklich gut aber nichts besonderes wenn man indisch essen geht. Der Biergarten ist etwas lieblos und alle Tische sind dreckig, ansonsten ist der außenbereich in Ordnung. Die Bedienung ist nicht gerade die höflichste. Preis Leistung finde ich etwas zu teuer für das gebotene. Das Fladenbrot ist allerdings wirklich super.

VII-2023: inzwischen auf die Wöhrd umgezogen, bleibt es dabei: ein feines und empfehlenswertes indisches Restaurant 🙏 // Feines, gut gewürztes indisches Essen - schnell serviert zu günstigem Preis. Reis gibt es immer auch als Nachschlag. Gute Lassis, feiner Chai. Leider ist das Lokal winters etwas kühl und zugig - warm Anziehen empfiehlt sich!

Gutes indisches Speiselokal an ruhigem und schattigem Ort auf der Insel (Wöhrd) in unmittelbarer Nähe zum westlichen Altstadtrand. Personal korrekt, eher vorsichtig bei Kommunikation;

Ich war mit meiner Arbeit im Taj Mahal zum Essen und es war fantastisch. Die ganze Familie Singh ist wahnsinnig freundlich und zuvorkommend und alle Gerichte die wir hatten waren unglaublich lecker! Das Ambiente mit dem Pavilion auf der Terrasse war einfach noch ein Riesen Pluspunkt. Ab sofort immer Taj Mahal 🫶🏼
