I've been eating here regularly for about 5 years and am very satisfied. Consistently good quality, a visit is recommended! The lunch menu includes a delicious salad beforehand and a cup of delicious tea afterwards. I take e.g. B. like the dishes Chicken Bindhi, Chicken Curry or Chicken Bhunna.

The three of us had a delicious Indian meal here. The service was very nice and quick. The food was super tasty and very plentiful. We didn't get it eaten. After the meal there was a free Indian drink (coffee with milk? tea with milk? probably chai?) We didn't need it and felt guilty because no one liked it and stopped.

It's been 2 years since I am living in Germany, I've tried many Indian restaurants in Regensburg, but I feel that Ganesha Restaurant serves the best in class food and hospitality. I had already visited this restaurant many times and I highly recommend to tryout!!

It was our first time eating Indian food, highly recommended! Fine spiciness, fresh spices (ginger, coriander,...) Friendly, good and inexpensive. Unfortunately S.Pellegrino mineral water (but also tap water)

We went to this trash eatery as a group of four. The worst meal I've ever had in my entire life! We placed our order for butter chicken, chicken biryani, and tandoori. We all puked the dinner as soon as we got home as the masalas were terrible and the chicken wasn't fresh. Kindly avoid visiting this restaurant. It brings shame to Indian cuisine.

We were a group of four and went to this waste restaurant. The worst food I have ever eaten in my life! We ordered tandoori, chicken biryani, and butter chicken. The chicken was not fresh, the masalas were horrible and we all vomited the food as soon as we reached home. Please do not go to this shop. It is a disgrace to the Indian food. The food in Ganesha tastes fantastic🥰🥰🥰, everything was very well seasoned. We always enjoy coming back to eat here. Our favorite dishes are Tandori Chicken and Butter Chicken. Of course the delicious bread (Nan).

Absolutely no recommendation, the food was poor in taste, I love Indian cuisine but that was the worst thing I've ever eaten, and at these high prices there are so many cloves in the rice that it's more like cloves than rice The lady who served was very friendly The dirty restaurant The food was horrible To add, if you want to take your leftover food with you like my girlfriend wanted to do, you have to pay €1.50 for packaging (you can't exceed it in audacity) The free soup and free tea don't help either If you want good Indian food, you're in the wrong place

Very good food and friendly staff. The food is good and the ambiance also. They also offer you tea (on the house) after meals.

Service was okay. But the quality and test of food was not to the cost. Paid 19 Euro for veg Panjabi thali... Food was not warm, avg test, salad was just cabbage with wired tested flavour on it, paneer was sour, rice was half cooked and dry with no test... Don't go. After giving this feedback they offered tea to cover up ( I didn't take it, not with it)... But no assurance to improve or act on the inputs, means they will stick to their practices...

Unfortunately we cannot recommend this restaurant. Seats at the door are very poor and hygienically rather questionable. Ordered drinks take forever. If you don't immediately know what you're eating, you'll be left lying there. After the starter, the main course took almost an hour. Toilets are very old and unfortunately not clean. The worst Indian we've ever had. We wanted leftovers packed up. Unfortunately, we discovered that not even half of it was packed and the rest was thrown away. 1 star is still too much.

We were warmly welcomed. We had to wait forever for drinks and food. There is a good 45 minutes between the starter and the main course. With the starter the waiter asked if we wanted ginger or garlic bread with it, we thought it was included with the starter, then when we got the bill the surprise was that it was charged. The food was way too much and the taste was okay. Have eaten much better.

I haven't been so impressed with the service in a long time. Very attentive staff and a greeting from the kitchen at the beginning and end. The food was also very tasty. We tried it because it was in the voucher book and will definitely eat there more often in the future 😊

Since it was a Sunday evening, there weren't many restaurants open, so I went there by chance, and it was an unexpectedly satisfying meal. All the staff were friendly and attentive, and the children cheered for the warm and delicious food. It was the kids' first time at an Indian restaurant, so they went in after I convinced them that it would be okay. Chicken soup, chili chicken, and I can't remember the name, but it's number 139 on the menu. I ordered it because it seemed to be the chef's recommendation. Don't look down on the soup because it's in the starter chapter. This is a magical soup that doesn't diminish no matter how much you eat it;; This is a flawless dish. It's delicious to eat on its own, but it's a masterpiece when sprinkled over rice. Personally, number 139 was the most delicious. (I felt that Korea is really good at making instant food. My daughter's favorite tea Asia curry haha. Beef masala? It's very similar to that.) I wasn't really hungry, so the three of us ordered two dishes and one soup. I heard that I mixed this with rice and ate a lot... And be careful. I'm sure they don't want to send guests home. I definitely asked for the bill, but after a while, it was chewy? The chef said the chef sent me some pudding, so please bring it to me. I finished eating and waiting again, but after a long time, I also got a cup of chai tea. (But I already ordered so I drank one cup first) Anyway, it was fun and satisfying. If I stay in Regensburg for about a week, this is a place I would like to visit again within a few days, but unfortunately I don't think I will go again as it is only 2 nights and 3 days. I hope I have a chance to visit this city again~ *In the end, I returned for lunch the next day hahahaha

Very good food, nice waiters and decent prices. What we liked best was the atmosphere, I haven't been to India, but that's how I imagine a restaurant in India to be. There was a bit of a minus, recommendations were not what we asked for, one of my colleagues wanted a dish that is not spicy at all and got a really hot curry dish and another colleague wanted hot wings and got a sweet chicken dish, maybe the waiter did not understand well, let's hope so :)

If you want some good Indian food then Ganesha is right place in Regensburg. Especially their workers kuldeep is super nice and extremely actively engaging in coustomer relations.

Food offered by Ganesha Restaurant is tasty and delicious. Also the menu has wide variety of items. Upon entering inside, It feels like we are in a proper Indian restaurant. The staff is well behaved and polite. I would specifically like to highlight the name of lady, Mrs. Kuldeep from Punjab, India. She always treats us with a smile and tries to offer the best she can and that is one of the reason, Ganesha Restaurant is our go to place for food.

It's one of our favourite Indian Restaurant in Regensburg. We specially travel from Straubing Bogen to just have Bhatura and Chicken Jalfrezi.Staff is also friendly and the service is also fast. I would recommend to visit Ganesha whenever you visit Regensburg and want to taste Indian food.

Not recommended for Istudents as they don’t give you student offers even if they tell you that you will get it. They have this very strange behaviour of telling us that you have to tell before you order food then only u will receive the offer, this is very very bad

Its strange how they say students have offer . And after everything they say , we had to mention it before we order . It is supposed to be mentioned somewhere or how are we gonna know. The staff was so rude.

Definitely recommended!!! We ordered Sabzi Kofta, Onion Kulcha and Paneer Naan. Everything was very delicious. They also gave us complementary papad in the beginning and chai after the food.

I like this restaurant very much. Once we had a argument with one of the employees of the restaurant but the other employees came and resolved the issue. The food is awesome. (Not like other Indian restaurants in Germany which prepares food with orange color only and make different food with same orange curry) . I recommend this restaurant very much. They have 10 percent student discount as well. I like almost all the employees of the restaurant but I should mention about the lady named Manpreet ( I am not sure about the name, sorry if I say the wrong name) . She is very nice person and jolly originated from Panjab , India. She is very friendly and takes care of all. We will go again and again.

Kein Flair. Sehr geringe Auswahl am Buffet. Keine Nach- oder Vorspeisen, außer einer Einheitssuppe vorher und einem ekelhaften Milchdessert mit Rosinen nachher. Zudem waren die Speisen (Beilagen) am Buffet kalt.

Sehr ruppige Bedienung. Als ich nach 10 Minuten bestellen wollte, war sie nur in der Lage, die Getränkebestellung aufzunehmen, mit der Begründung, sie habe auch nur zwei Hände. Das Essen war ok, aber nicht überdurchschnittlich, das Naan mit Knoblauch lapperig und eine Enttäuschung. Alles in allem war der Aufenthalt ok, aber ich muss da nicht nochmal hin.

Obwohl wir reserviert hatten wurden wir unfreundlich empfangen und an einen Katzentisch neben der Theke gesetzt. Wir erhielten 10 Minuten weder Speisekarten noch wurden wir nach Getränken gefragt. Es herrschte die Athmosphäre einer Bahnhofsvorhalle. Nachdem wir uns die Speisekarte selber beschafft hatten konnten wir uns einen der völlig überforderten Kellner schnappen und unsere Bestellung aufgeben. Am Nachbartisch wurde das Hähnchengericht gerade zurückgegeben weil es nicht durch war. Als bei uns die Vorspeise gebracht wurde hatten wir noch lange kein Besteck. Die gemischte Vorspeisenplatte war geschmacklos frittiertes Gemüse und sonstigem undefinierbaren Frittierzeug. Die Hauptessen hätten auch mehr Gewürze vertragen. Das bestellte Nanbrot kam nicht, stand aber später auf der Rechnung . Espresso gab es nicht, weil Kaffeemaschine kaputt. Fazit: niemals wieder. Es gibt bessere Inder in Regensburg

Das schlechteste indische Restaurant in dem ich je war. Essen fast geschmacklos und statt Paneer Käse wird einfach Tofu serviert… Portionen sind dafür, vor allem beim Reis, reichlich. Service ist ok. Ambiente ist ausbaufähig. Es ist zwar ein schönes Lokal, aber es wird keine schöne Atmosphäre geschaffen. Werde nicht wieder kommen.

Zentral in der Maximilianstraße zwischen Bahnhof und Altstadt. Nette Einrichtung, nicht kitschig. Das Lamm Rogan Josh war ordentlich, die Sauce hätte mehr traditionelle indische Gewürze vertragen. Fleischqualität: mittel; Onion Baji ( frittierte Zwiebelringe) ordentlich, einige zäh. Saucen vom gratis gereichten Papadam mäßig (convenience) ich kenne indische Restaurants, die ihre Saucen selbst herstellen. Service OK, könnte aufmerksamaer sein. Toiletten / Waschraum in bedauernswertem Zustand....; es gibt Kingfischer Bier

Ganesha ist ein indisches Restaurant in Regensburg, Maximilianstr. 23 in zentraler Lage! Das bestellte Gericht Nr. 130 AcHari Murgh Tikka (gegrilltes Huehnerfleisch mit Reis, Naanbrot) und vorheriger Gemüsesuppe war megalecker und kam nach Bestellung schnell an den Tisch. Das Gericht kann ich wirklich sehr empfehlen. Preis- Leistungsverhaeltnis gut!!

Authentische indische Küche, sehr lecker! Viele Gerichte sind auch glutenfrei

Teile der Belegschaft waren offensichtlich schlecht gelaunt. Geschirr teilweise schmutzig. 3 verschiedene Gerichte wirkten, als kämen sie aus demselben Topf. Dieses schmeckte allerdings gut. Preise im mittleren Bereich.

Service war eine Katastrophe - wenn man Frage hatte wurde man abgeblockt, Essen wurde vergessen, genervte Blicke. Essen war kalt, geschmacklich OK. Es war unser erstes und letztes Mal hier.

War zum ersten Mal da, das Personal völlig überfordert, man muss ewig warten bis man bedient wird. Zwei Tische sind dann gegangen weil es zu lange gedauert hat. Das Essen war hervorragend. Zum zahlen musste ich fünfmal den Kellner rufen innerhalb von 40 Minuten. In der Zwischenzeit hat der Kellner mit zwei Gästen an zwei verschiedenen Tischen rum diskutiert die unzufrieden waren. Wurden auch ziemlich unfreundlich. Als er dann endlich zum Kassieren kam, wollte er mir zwei Getränke abkassieren obwohl ich nur eins hatte. Er hat es dann gemerkt, dass er mein zweites Getränk vergessen hatte, es aber boniert hatte. Fazit Essen super aber Service Katastrophe.

If you want to take leftovers..for a single aluminium box they charge 1.5 euros...It would justify the cost if the packaging would have been eco friendly But apart from this we had an amazing experience 😃

Wir hatte uns auf einen schönen Abend gefreut. Leider ging das völlig in die Hose. Das Personal war sehr unkoordiniert und laut. Unser Tisch war sicher vorher nicht abgewischt worden - er war eindeutig klebrig und sehr klein. Der Kellner, der unsere Getränke brachte konnte kein Deutsch verstehen - daher blieb unsere Frage unbeantwortet. Als die Vorspeise kam, wir hatten jeweils eine Suppe bestellt, war meine Dal-Suppe ungenießbar. Der Geschmack erinnerte Entfernt an Linsen, mehr an Maggi Fertigsuppe. Mein Hauptgericht war dann ein vegetarisches Thali. So mau gewürzt, dass sich jede indische Hausfrau geschämt hätte so etwas zu servieren. Das Gericht meines Begleiters, ein Hühnchen mit Kartoffel war dagegen gut. Auf Nachfrage, ob es mir geschmeckt hat, verneinte ich. Daraufhin wurde der Kellner erst richtig wütend. Er meinte, dass ich vorher hätte sagen müssen dass ich mein Essen gut gewürzt haben möchte. Wozu gehe ich indisch Essen??? Ich war fassungslos als er auch noch mit den Gästen am Nachbartisch über mich und meine Aussage lästerte. So etwas gehört sich nicht! Fazit: Ungenügend - sicher keine Empfehlung für gut indische Küche.
