Very good food, staff is very friendly and the bread/naan was excellent

We had really bad experience on our visit to Namaste. The service was so poor that waiter was not entertaining us. He hardly bother that what we required . As an Indian we had great hopes from them but the food was not that upto what Ganesha Restaurant has. The waiter with glasses was so rude. I don't recommend that Restaurant to any of my colleagues.

The food and service are fabulous. We went to the lunch buffet today and everyone will find what they are looking for. Whether vegetarian or vegan dishes, meat/fish... Also a starter salad, sweet dishes, delicious pakora and naan. Everything is there. I can only recommend the restaurant. ;)

Incredible food. Ordered takeout and tried all the assorted pakora, tandoori, and naans with a passion fruit yogurt drink. Everything was amazing. The food is well seasoned, but could use a little more spice (not surprised, I don't expect many of the locals want/can tolerate spice). What really impressed me was the quality of delivery packaging, when I got my food, everything was still hot and fresh because all orders are covered in foil and SEALED. The yogurt drink was also very delicious. I spent $70 and it was worth every cent.

Das Essen war ordentlich, aber nichts Besonderes. Die Linsensuppe war gut gewürzt, die vielleicht einen Tick zu weich, aber noch mit ein bisschen Biss. Sie wurde sehr heiß serviert (Mikrowelle?). Aber lieber zu heiß als zu kalt. Das Chicken Tikka Masala war recht scharf gewürzt - vor allem dafür, dass in der Karte keine einzige Chilischote abgebildet war. Aber es hat gut geschmeckt. Das Fleisch war reichlich und auch schön weich. Das Flair des Restaurants war nicht besonders. Wenn man den Buddha und die Bilder austauscht, kommt ein altes China-Restaurant raus: Die Tische sind diese typischen bunten Kunst-Stein-Tische aus "normalen" China-Restaurants. Das Geschirr erinnert eher an eine Kantine. Die Suppe wurde in einer einfachen weißen Suppentasse mit typischer weißer Papierserviette darunter serviert. Der Service ist mit gelangweilt bis routiniert eher schmeichelhaft umschrieben. Beim Abräumen der Suppe keine Nachfrage, ob es denn geschmeckt hätte. Ich musste hinterher rufen, damit ich noch ein Getränk bestellen konnte. Beim Hauptgang stand eine leere Schüssel und ein leeres Getränk lange auf meinem Tisch und wurde von den Kellnern, die mehrmals bei mir vorbei kamen um an anderen Tischen zu bedienen, nicht abgeräumt. Die Chance auf eine Frage, ob denn mit dem Hauptgang alles in Ordnung ist, wurde damit auch vergeben. Nach dem Hauptgang stand mein leeres Geschirr fast 10 Minuten auf meinem Tisch rum. Als ich einem Kellner sagte, dass ich zahlen möchte, wurde das registriert, der Kellner ging zurück zur Theke, nahm sein Handy und ging telefonierend zur Tür raus. Immerhin kam dann ein anderer Kellner, der den ganzen Abend nicht bei mir war...

We were there for the lunch buffet. There were 2 vegetarian dishes to choose from, 1 fish dish, 1 turkey and 1 chicken. In my opinion, sufficient. There were also tomatoes, cucumbers and green salad. A mango lassi for dessert. I found it tasty and reasonable for the price of 10.90 euros per person. You have to park in the underground car park, which costs 2 euros per hour.

So they want to express “respect” on the website. Maybe you should also tell the driver who thinks that his navigation error would give him the right to simply change lanes and then react rudely! It doesn't work at all and reflects an attitude and behavior that really doesn't have much to do with respect. The three points are for the restaurant, which is certainly good and which I have wanted to visit for a long time. This desire has greatly diminished

Very good Indian food for a fair price

Es war sooooo lecker, das beste indische Restaurant, in dem wir waren!!! Absolut empfehlenswert, Kellner waren auch sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Kommen wieder!

Great meal. Great price. I love Lamb Vindaloo in general, but this one was perfectly seasoned. Spicy, sweating, but not quite crying.

We regularly order from Namaste and have been to the restaurant several times. I can highly recommend it. The choice of food is great - my favorite are the lamb dishes (Vindaloo is delicious). The restaurant is cozy - but you should make a reservation on weekends. Collections also work very well and on time. Keep it up

Nobody answers and we have been waiting for over an hour for a response to our order via uber eats. Uber eats can't even contact them themselves. Very dubious!

Nach Empfehlung haben wir hier gebucht und wurden sehr enttäuscht das essen ... Fleisch sehr trocken zum Teil kaum zu schneiden. Hackfleisch leider nur ein Block trockene Masse. Das beste des Abends leider das Knoblauch Brot und die Bedienung.

I ordered online. A once and never again taste experience. Had mushrooms in a supposedly spicy batter. The dough coating was flabby and tasted like flour. No trace of spice. Not even salt. The two sauces that go with it should probably be peppermint and something else. With the peppermint sauce the color and a hint of peppermint suggested it, the other sauce was ketchup with vinegar. The peppermint sauce also had vinegar. Both sauces were disgusting and this starter was an outrage. When ordering the main course, Butter Chicken, it was not stated that there was rice as a side dish, but when ordering it was asked to choose a side dish. So I thought, "Ok, there's no side dish" and chose rice. I ended up having two packs of rice, one with the main course and one extra. I don't know whether this was planned or not, but of course I had to pay extra for the rice. The main course tasted like the Harri-Hüttig sauce: ketchup, curry and cream. Uninspired, bland, no trace of Indian spices other than curry. The delivery person was very friendly and the order arrived quicker than expected. This can be seen as positive. Since I didn't eat on site, I give the service and ambience a neutral medium rating, and the food the lowest possible because it was disgusting to boring.

Unfortunately I can't give more stars. The food was always good, but the service was very unfriendly. If you suddenly feel uncomfortable all the time EVEN THOUGH you suddenly have to pay extra for the rice (previous extra rice was always free), that is very unpleasant. Unfortunately we won't be coming back. Fortunately, the density of Indians in Regensburg is very high. You have to know.

I was there on a Sunday evening. There was still a table for two people without a reservation, but the restaurant was then well filled. The prices are okay and the food tastes really good and is a good portion. The atmosphere is very cozy, which is also helped by the very friendly waiters.

By far our favorite Indian restaurant in Regensburg 💛 The service is always friendly and courteous. In summer we also like to sit in the courtyard. Despite the huge selection of dishes, I always have butter chicken and naan with it. In my opinion, Namaste simply has the best butter chicken 😋

Great food and very friendly staff. We have been eating at Namaste regularly for years now and, despite sometimes long breaks, we are immediately recognized and greeted in a friendly manner. Personally, I can especially recommend the Namaste Damm Special Mix and the Butter Chicken. Things from the tandoori are served sizzling hot, which is always a great experience. We usually order Garlic Naan as a side dish. Vegetarians and vegans are also well catered for here. Ultimately, you can probably blindly tap on a random dish and be rewarded with a delicious sprinkling. Always a pleasure and so far the best Indian I know! :)

Curry/sauce itself is good. Rice is unseasoned and therefore only tastes like water. It's not that bad because the curry itself is very well seasoned. The chicken, on the other hand, is underground. Not soft at all and you have to chew forever. Especially because a long cooking time is advertised.

We stopped here on our way to Dresden after reading reviews. We had Dal makhani and Kadhai Paneer, asked for Indian spice level. Food was delicious and service was quick. Polite servers.

By far the best Indian in Regensburg! We have been loyal regular customers for years now and everything here is just perfect. The service is very attentive, courteous and always friendly, you just feel very welcome here at any time. The food is of excellent quality and tastes great. The drinks too, simply delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and warm and we feel really comfortable here. We always enjoy coming here with guests and everyone has always been completely thrilled. Our warmest recommendation for eating Indian food!

The Namaste restaurant is a real insider tip for lovers of Indian cuisine. The Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan are my absolute favorites – simply delicious! I would particularly like to highlight the waiter Bhnty, who is always extremely attentive and friendly. He ensures that you feel completely comfortable. If you are looking for authentic Indian food and excellent service, you should definitely pay Namaste a visit. Absolute recommendation!

Ordered at 18:45, order was accepted with an estimated delivery of 1,5h. After 3h we still didn’t receive an update about the delivery and we weren’t able to contact the restaurant because the call went straight to voicemail. The food is good but sadly this was the third time we had problems with deliveries and I guess this time was the last time we tried..

The chicken was tough and several phones were constantly ringing. Not relaxing food at all. We were happy to leave.

It's the best Indian restaurant I've ever eaten. The staff are all friendly. Delivery is satisfactory as the food is delivered quickly and hot. If you're Korean or looking for spicy food, try Vindaroo. I recommend eating it with duck. We always go here for our anniversary. Thank you for giving me happy times every time. Even giving it ten stars is not enough.

Wir waren mit Bekannten dort und es war eine gute Restaurantwahl. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir nahmen im Terrassenbereich Platz und da ich im Rollstuhl sitze wurde sofort ein Stuhl zur Seite gestellt. Das Essen war nicht gut........es war HERVORRAGEND !!!! Dass wir wiederkommen werden ist keine Drohung sondern ein Versprechen. Es war toll.

I ate here last Saturday with my girlfriend for her birthday. The waiters are all super friendly and accommodating. The food came quickly and was very delicious. The price was surprisingly low. I'm willing to pay more for this meal. I'll definitely come here to eat more often

Ambience is upper range, service was top notch, bad for a short time, but now great again. There is nothing wrong with food as the main thing. Unfortunately the rice is no longer yellow, I don't know what that means. It's not too expensive, but not cheap either! The quality is very consistent, in 8 years since I've been coming here I've NEVER had a hair in the food, a dish that's too small or bad, something cold etc... so in short, never anything wrong with the food, and on average I come every two months with a few people. Best Indian in Regensburg, no competition. The ones at the main station have much worse service and the food is less in quantity, the ones at Arnulfsplatz have the problem. The other Indian restaurants don't come close either...

I was here for the second time today with my family and my already very good experience was further exceeded. The food tastes great and the restaurant has a unique flair. The selection suits everyone. Don't be fooled by the small looking plates, the portions are enough for at least one person 😅 The price-performance ratio is great, you can expect to pay €20 or less per head. Actually my favorite restaurant in Regensburg. 👍

This review is only related to buffet. One or two dishes will be good but rest of them is like okay. But overall keeping price in mind I think its worth.

Food was good .But the behaviour from the serving staff(one guy with specs) was very rude to us. With 4 people book for lunch and this guy was staring and wanted us to go out.That was not acceptable because we are also paying for food.(NB:He was very polite and charming to Germans).Because of this guy,we 4 were not satisfied with service and atmosphere Thank you for your response.I can briefly explain.We group 4 come to your restaurant to have lunch.One guy who wears specs (working as waiters) is being rude to as.This guy was staring at us when we go to take some food ,asked multiple times “have you done our lunch “like this.We can’t eat food in super fast ,I don’t know why this guy want us to go.There was a small boy in our group,even him itself asked,why this guy is not smiling and polite to Indians,but to others.

Yesterday girls night at Namaste. Online reservation worked. As soon as we entered we were greeted by a delicious smell of spices and a very nice waiter. The selection of dishes is large but we all found something. After a reasonable wait, our dishes arrived and we were all thrilled and tried everything. Everything tasted very good. The service staff were very friendly and joking. The only point of criticism is the background noise, but we'll definitely be back. 👍 We can definitely recommend Namaste

The four of us arrived around 6 p.m. without a reservation and got a table without any problems. The food came relatively quickly. The butter chicken was very good, the waitresses were very friendly, attentive and child-friendly.

Four of us were at your restaurant today. As usual, the food was very good... but if we have to wait an hour and 15 minutes for the food... trying several times to be able to order a little more rice or something to drink... then as a guest I have to think about whether I should go again eat with you... I understand the labor shortage. But 1 person in service for a full restaurant?

Wir haben das erst mal bei Namaste bestellt, da wir indisches Essen sehr gerne mögen. Die Linsensuppe, Mangoeis, gebackene Bananen waren gut. Der Tandoorimix war leider nichts. Der Reis ist ungewürzt, aber okay. Alle Fleischstücke waren viel zu durchgegart und trocken. Sogar bei der Garnele dachte ich, es wäre Hähnchen. Alle Stücke schmeckten relativ gleich und ohne besonderem Aroma. Die Soße war würzig, aber wässrig, als ob sie verdünnt worden wäre. Das Kraut war dafür lecker. Das Naan war durchschnittlich, bisschen zu zäh.. Leider werden nicht mehr bestellen und wünschen alles Gute.

Restaurant to avoid because of a stupid waiter. In our case, the guy was so rude to us, when we requested for an extra spoon. On top of it, this guy took tip on his own. Not a place to visit, especially for Indians. PS: on top of the money the waiter took, we gave extra money as tip.

Angenehme Atmosphäre, schon beim Reinkommen empfängt einen der leckere Duft. Das Essen kam sehr schnell. Besonders empfehlen kann ich das Butter Chicken, wirklich sehr lecker, und auch die Ente mit Gemüse und das Naan-Brot waren wirklich gut. Nichts auszusetzen, gerne wieder!
