NAMASTE in Regensburg

1st time restaurant. Language was a bit of a problem as I'm English. But we got there in the end. Staff were extremely helpful. Food was of a good standard and very cheap. Would definitely go again.

Super friendly service and delicious food.

It's a good Indian restaurant and is located nearby the railway station and the main Bus stop, opposite to the Arcaden Mall. Food and service is always great. I have dined in, ordered take aways and ordered food home. Same quality throughout. Definitely recommend it.

Where did I end up here? Unfortunately, it's a bit hidden. I'm staying at the IBIS Regensburg City Hotel by the train station and checking where I can go for dinner after arriving. It's a one-minute walk away. I'm still blown away. Everything here won me over: the food, the service, and the prices. I had dish no. 108, the Nameste Special Plate, €15.50, plus garlic flatbread for €3.50. The main course was still cooking in the pot, super hot and freshly prepared. A huge portion of basmati rice was served steaming hot, followed by the warm flatbread. I was able to fill my plate three times. The meat with vegetables and marinade was served not just in the pot, but on a banana leaf! Mango schnapps for €3, a half-liter of Bischofshof beer on tap for €3.70! Unbelievable. For me, this is an absolute top tip for good food in Regensburg!!!

Four of us went to Namaste today. The food was delicious, and the service was very attentive and courteous. We had a great time and will be back.

I've been here several times, but today I was very disappointed and really have to think about whether I'll come back. The Indian vegetable soup was watered down and really bland. I had questions about the main course, but they weren't answered properly. The male waitresses had very poor communication and were very unfriendly towards the female customers. I felt a bit rude. I also had to wait an hour for my food and another 30 minutes for the bill. The very nice, blonde, and friendly waitresses made up for it, so I'm giving the place another chance.

We've been there several times. It's always a culinary delight. The service is always friendly. Excellent value for money.

Namaste is our regular Indian restaurant in Regensburg. The food is always excellent, and the menu offers a wide selection. The service is friendly and fast, and the restaurant is very well-kept. The delivery service is also excellent, and the drivers are always very nice! Keep up the good work!

I love the food there, it arrives hot and fresh, the service is perfect and the restaurant is designed in such a way that the waiter/waitress can keep an eye on who needs help. All in all, 5 stars!

We've been here several times for dinner and were very satisfied each time. So I don't know what was going on last night. Only 6 tables were occupied (summer vacation?), but we still had to ask for attention every time for drinks and coffee. My chicken had a long and fulfilling life, but it shouldn't have been in the kitchen anymore. And the bathroom trip in the middle of the night... maybe another time. I don't know if I'll come again...

We've been coming here for dinner for years, and it's always excellent. Since I have celiac disease, it's usually harder to find somewhere to eat. Everyone here is very knowledgeable, and I can eat without worry. Parking is also not a problem, as there's a parking garage right next door.

It was our first visit and we'll be back. The food was excellent and plentiful, and the service was attentive.

Especially at lunchtime, the good prices for delicious dishes are impressive. I ordered Murgh Palak, which comes with a salad. We even got free naan bread!

Great Indian restaurant! I was served very friendly and relaxed even at 10:15 PM, just before closing time, and was able to enjoy my delicious dinner in peace as the last customer. Great value for money and located in a central but quiet courtyard.

We tried their lunch buffet while on a day trip to Regensburg. The buffet was good, but not great. Enough choices and worth a try, but like someone before us said, once is enough. Not bad, but it's Indian for German taste maybe, not really Indian food.

Im Namaste wird man immer sehr freundlich empfangen. Die Gerichte sind ausreichend groß und sehr lecker. Man wird rundum umsorgt von gut gelaunten Mitarbeitern und es gibt sogar eine Überraschung für Geburtstagskinder (sofern man eine Feier bei der Reservierung erwähnt hat). Wir gehen dort schon seit Jahren immer wieder zum Abendessen hin und waren stets begeistert.

We received a relatively unmotivated welcome and were seated in the last corner available, even though there were other tables available. Our cutlery was "thrown" onto the table rather carelessly. The food was okay, but not exactly amazing. However, it arrived after a very short wait.

The food is always delicious! We've always chosen delivery service, and I regret to say that there's a very unfriendly and rude courier at Namaste. It's a shame we had such a bad experience with delivery service.

Whenever we don't feel like cooking, we always like to order from Namaste. We go there regularly (the naan tastes better than when ordered :) ) and we also like to order regularly. The waiters are all very friendly. We've tried other Indian restaurants in the area, but we prefer coming here because we simply like the food here the best, and we like the paneers the most. We also recommend the lunch buffet, where you can eat your fill for a small price. So all in all, definitely a recommendation :)

The food isn't my cup of tea, I'd say. Unfortunately, I can't rate the service highly either. We ordered black tea without additives, but got a green tea blend. Then it turned out they didn't have any black tea, so we ordered water instead. The tea was added to the bill at the end...

The food is always incredibly good and perfectly seasoned! The portion sizes are also great – you'll definitely be full. I especially recommend the lunch buffet: a fantastic selection, everything fresh and delicious, and you can even choose whether you want rice or naan as a side dish. We regularly order from Namaste and have also been to the restaurant several times. The food is always really nice, the staff is very friendly and forthcoming. A lot of meals are marked as possible to make vegan. Their garlic shorwa (garlic soup) is a delight (and also has a vegan option)!

The buffet is very tasty and cheap. Unfortunately, the service is very unfriendly, not to say dismissive. Drinks are forced on you and you have to pay for incorrectly delivered drinks with the message “Cancellation not possible”. You are also not allowed to choose where to sit, even if there are enough seats available at the window at lunchtime. That's a shame because the food is great.

We had lunch here on Saturday. Great selection of dishes, so we could hardly decide. Everything we ordered came quickly and tasted really good! Service was very friendly. Gladly again.

I've been to Namaste for the lunch buffet several times and have always been impressed by the excellent quality and friendly service. The all-you-can-eat buffet offers a wide selection of delicious stews, regularly including butter chicken. I particularly appreciate the variety of vegetarian dishes. Today I visited the restaurant for the first time in the evening – and it was an absolute highlight! The service was attentive, the atmosphere cozy, and the food tasted simply perfect. My recommendation: Definitely try the butter chicken with naan bread and enjoy it with a refreshing mango lassi – perfect to balance out the spiciness. A great restaurant that I can recommend at any time!
