So far we haven't tried a dish that we didn't like. Whether on site or to take away, the quality of the food is impeccable! Portions are more than adequate in size.

The food was very tasty, the meat was nice and tender, we ordered chicken tikka masala, butter chicken and the samosa/pakora plate as starters. Everything great! And what we found best was the service. Very attentive, there for you very quickly. So we felt very comfortable and welcome. A little more expensive than other Indian restaurants, but also fancier. Despite this, everyone is welcome as long as you are hungry ☺️

Top food, top service, very polite, friendly and personable. I would definitely like to go there again, highly recommended. The Kosovan waiter in particular is very funny and personable.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Taj Mahal, an Indian restaurant located in Frankfurt. The service was exceptional for sure. I am not a fan of Indian cuisine, because I have some problems with spiced (seasoned) food, but the waiter was great and had recomand a good solution for it (please, don't ask me why I've chosen Indian restaurant, if I don't eat their food, it was a misunderstanding between me and my colleagues). The waiter recommended me a salad and a fish cooked on gril, it was not bad, as I expected, but fish was too dry for me. If you have no problem with spiced food, I recommend this place, because of great service and a cozy atmosphere!

Best Indian restaurant in Frankfurt. The food, ambience, the staff and the price-performance ratio are absolutely top. I've been a regular customer here for years and come from Wiesbaden at least once a month to eat here The Butter Chicken and Tandoori Chicken are particularly recommended. An experience every time - definitely 5/5 stars!

Great service, and good food Butter chicken was good but it was rich in coconut flavor some people don’t prefer coconut but for me it was good Chicken masala was really nice also The samosa as a side dish was only served as one piece and the rest was a mixture of pakora, fried eggplants and zucchini (that wasn’t mentioned on the menu) I recommend it if you’re looking for a good Indian place

The food is very tasty and the service is also good. We ordered 2x butter chicken. Unfortunately there was only one portion of rice that had to be shared. For €19.50 I wish there was more rice. Hence a star deduction

We happened to pass the restaurant and of course spontaneously reserved a table for the evening. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the guest doesn't miss anything. The food was very tasty, if you love Indian you are in good hands here, we would be happy to come back.

I recently visited the Raj Mahal and overall I was very satisfied. The atmosphere was inviting and cozy, with stylish but relaxed decor that completed the ambience perfectly.

Food was simply delicious! We were particularly impressed by the variety of authentic Indian dishes. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive and accommodating. You immediately felt welcome and received excellent care throughout the entire visit.

Every dish was fresh, aromatic and full of authentic Indian flavors. I would particularly like to highlight the butter chicken and the perfectly prepared naan breads. Every dish was prepared with so much attention to detail that you could literally taste the passion of the chefs. The ambience rounds the whole thing off perfectly: cozy, warm and inviting, so that you immediately feel at home. I can fully recommend this restaurant. I recently dined at the Taj Mahal and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. The dishes were not only incredibly flavorful but also generously portioned. The Taj Mahal Restaurant scores with the excellent quality of the food - the taste is really convincing and authentic. However, the service left something to be desired and was not particularly attentive. The prices are high and the ambience was rather unspectacular. Unfortunately, despite several couples at the table, NeoTaste was only accepted once, which was disappointing. Overall, a mixed experience with a few drawbacks.

I ordered food here based on Wolt's high reviews and was disappointed. The garlic naan was dry as was the naan with lamb, I have never had such dry bread at an Indian restaurant. In addition, the butter chicken and mango chicken were not convincing in terms of taste and the curry was liquid instead of creamy. The rice, on the other hand, was okay, nothing special. At €21.50 per dish, I think it should have at least tasted good to very good and not bland. If you want authentic and delicious food for your money, don't order here.

I was here this afternoon and I have to say it was a disaster! The bread was hard, greasy and far too crispy, the curry dishes were far too runny like soup. Some of the staff only speak English. Never again! I'd rather go to the Indian guy I trust.

I am always really happy with the overall package. The ambience is nice and appealing, the service is always perfect and the food is delicious. There is a large selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The lassis and cocktails are highly recommended!

We spontaneously decided on this restaurant, when we entered we first thought, great... everything was full, but luckily that wasn't the case. The extremely friendly employee took us to a table and brought us the cards. There are a variety of authentic Indian dishes, including vegetarian and vegan. We ordered starters and main courses, everything was delicious. There are also a variety of drinks. The employees are always very attentive without being intrusive. We will be back.

Overpriced, small portions with hardly any meat. I didn't like it particularly well, rather very below average. Mango Lassi is delicious, but I would like to give it one star. Ambiance is ok, nothing special for the high prices.

It was a good experience to sit there with so many Indian pictures around. I ordered two samosas with pakora and two chai, also Gulab Jamun. It wasn't exactly authentic Indian taste, but it was still good.

Delicious food and beautiful decor! We were craving some Indian abroad and this restaurant was both affordable and pleasant. It is not as strong as in Sweden, but people think that can be both good and bad. Very nice staff (especially a cute guy who served us). I would highly recommend!

Best Indian in Frankfurt Price performance top

Had a 2 day stopover in Frankfurt and was recommended this place by the locals. I was not disappointed, food is amazing, staff are friendly and accommodating. 100% recommend this place.

I arrived alone on Friday at around 9:00 p.m. The place was quite full, but there were about 5 empty tables when I entered. The waiter asked me to start thinking about where to seat me, and then the owners informed him that they were full and there was no room available, maybe because I was alone so I didn't save him, too bad Who intends to come alone, it's a waste of his time to go somewhere else in the first place.

The food is really excellent. Super nice restaurant and good service. The chicken mango curry was incredibly delicious.

My fiancée and I ate at the Taj Mahal in Frankfurt because our friends recommended it. I wanted to have a nice evening, but unfortunately nothing came of it. When we arrived we were served by a service employee who didn't speak German, which made communication difficult. The food was delicious but the service was an absolute disaster. While we were eating, an argument began among the employees that spread throughout the store. A waiter was arguing loudly with one of his colleagues and dragging us around the store, leaving us wondering what was going on. The argument continued at the bar and even in the kitchen we heard screaming and breaking dishes. It was very unpleasant for me and my companion and our evening was severely affected. The food was great but the service left something to be desired. The owner should definitely think about his employees.

This was the most shocking experience I have had in Germany! I visited this place on 23/04/2024 at around 09:17 pm. I was a single guy and I entered the restaurant, there were group of 4 ahead of me and 2 people were behind me! The ones ahead of me were seated and when my turn came the steward just said “ We don’t have any table !” But then the couple behind me (who had no reservation he arranged a side table for them. I am quite in shock as to was this because I was Indian or because the he thought 2 people would give him more business! Very disappointed in this treatment! Maybe it’s time they either post “Single person not allowed” or something like that.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The large photos on the walls were impressive and appropriate for the restaurant. The food was excellent. The service was also very good. Everyone was friendly and attentive.

Taste is good, but i think they should have more options in the menu, and it would be great if they could have some reserved parking options.

In my opinion, this restaurant is one of the top 10 in Frankfurt. The restaurant has moved from Willy-Brandt-Platz to Schweizer Straße. The location is no longer quite as impressive as it used to be - and they still have to fight for approval from the city for the small outdoor area (where you can also smoke). It should be noted: we chose this restaurant because - with one of my guests in mind - they also offer a really good selection of vegetarian dishes. Also worth highlighting is the fast and friendly service - and also the fact that the 2019 prices apparently still apply on the food and drinks menu. The only point of criticism: there were only 3 white wines to choose from on the wine list. Of quite high quality. We were also very happy with the Hessian Pinot Gris, but we would also have liked Sicilian and South African white wines on the menu. P.S. Apparently the most popular food for non-vegetarians is still “Mixed Seafood from Grill” . The other people ordered that too.

Luxury restaurant. I came near here the other day The restaurant I found. I've been here before, I couldn't get in because it was full. I came to this restaurant again. The interior is very beautiful Clean restaurant 😀 But everything is expensive I'm sorry, but if you pay this price I had a good experience at a different Indian restaurant. The service is neither good nor bad. Rather, the service was inorganic without a smile. I felt like I was doing it. And as for the taste, It was a delicious restaurant. Will I go again? That is questionable.

Overrated. We paid 50€ per person. I miss good old cozy Indian family interior & atmosphere and don't get the sterile stylish furniture fancyness. For that price I expect biodynamic earth care transparency & quality and excellent taste. Some vegan dishes, that's nice! But no main dish below 20€. Ordered Samosas beforehand, but got mixed starters instead - fried veggies basically, a joke. I said something but we weren't offered anything. Surprise us with a rework! ✌️

Were there for dinner on March 1st at 6:00 p.m., two people. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The homemade lemonade tasted excellent, the staff was always attentive and asked us several times if everything was OK and if we needed anything. The starters combined with the main course were really tasty, the tender butter chicken was like a royal dish for my taste buds! All in all, I can highly recommend Taj-Mahal, the atmosphere was very modern and extremely pleasantly furnished. I'm looking forward to the next visit!

I came here because I read the reviews and they said “ best Indian in Frankfurt”. Guys have you ever had good Indian food? Naan bread seemed from yesterday (super super dry), the rice was overcooked and the chicken tikka masala was almost tasteless and very watery. Butter chicken was slightly better but still.. very poor in taste. You can find so much better in ffm.

I've been eating here for years and can't get enough for lunch or dinner, simply the best location in Frankfurt
