Indian Lounge in Frankfurt am Main

We have been regular customers since Corona until today. We love the food there, we often order or if we feel like it and have time we eat there. Until now we had not found a good Indian like this. But unfortunately, since the nice service worker (Afghan) left and was replaced by two other employees, it feels like things have gotten much, much worse. When we were eating there, one of the two employees couldn't be understood at all and seemed listless. When you order by phone, you can hardly understand what they want from you. The Indian Lounge app works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. What a shame!! The boss really made a mistake. The Afghan felt he could do everything on his own.

Unfortunately we are very disappointed with the food. Before we ordered, we asked the waitress if there were any dishes that were vegan. He replied in the affirmative and wrote down the order. When he brought the food, my partner bit into chicken, which I don't think should happen these days. After a while the food was brought to the table again. We would have been happy about a price reduction.

The restaurant is nice, but the food didn't really taste good and I felt sick afterwards (had the curry with chicken)

The chicken was still raw in the curry, the portions are far too small and the staff is unfriendly.

Ordered through Wolt, the meat was sour and no longer fresh. We have ordered here often. If you complain, no replacement or money back.

Vegetarian mixed vegetables with rice Not much of the mix was visible, mainly cauliflower and potato pieces. A few individual edamame beans had also found their way into the so-called vegetables. You won't find anything like peppers, zucchini or other vegetables there. At least you could taste the coriander, Otherwise pretty unimaginative. Prices seem relatively moderate at first, but when you look at the portions, well, no adult is really full and dessert might be another part of the meal, but that would make everything more expensive. The red wine at €5.90 (Merlot) is a superficial drink with no depth. I was able to make the payment by card, after a little more effort Demand. If no card is accepted, it probably depends temporarily on the mood of the holder, as is the case with some other competitors in this field (e.g. Forno d'Oro Preungesheim). All in all, no cheaper than anywhere else. And if you're no longer considered a welcome guest for more than half an hour around 9:45 p.m. on a Sunday evening, you definitely won't come back.

Really very tasty dishes with a good, not too strong spiciness. It was very tasty! Service is courteous and polite. It went very quickly until the food was on the table. Absolute recommendation. 🤩👍

Danger! Anyone who uses Neotaste should not assume that they will get a normal portion. I ordered two dishes today and said on the phone that I would like to redeem a Neotaste voucher. The two dishes were significantly smaller compared to a normal order that I had already ordered there and I had 4 (!!!) pieces of chicken in the dish. In principle, the portion is adjusted to the price, which is not Neotaste's principle. Unfortunately it wasn't anything special in terms of taste. I will avoid this restaurant in the future.

Although I have been here several times as a guest, they didn't let me use the toilet today...even though I offered to pay for it...we won't be coming here anymore...

Always enthusiastic about this Indian restaurant in Frankfurt, the portions are very generous and the greetings from the kitchen are always delicious. We will continue to go there

We spontaneously went to lunch at the Indian Lounge in Frankfurt's Nordend during the week. Despite there being numerous free tables, the service was rather lackluster. We opted for tandoori dishes, but they were not available. The alternatively ordered dishes tasted ok, but nothing extraordinary. Unfortunately, the restaurant does not accept card payments.

Best Indian in FFm, with excellent tikka masala and raita and are very generous with special requests!

We spontaneously had dinner here on a Friday evening. There were enough free tables. Our service staff was very personable and attentive. The food was delicious, nothing extraordinary, but we enjoyed it. All in all, we can only recommend the restaurant.

I'm there regularly for the lunch buffet. For €11.90. Top price-performance ratio. There are tasty dishes for vegans, vegetarians or meat eaters. For this price, eating through India during your lunch break is simply huge. Fresh, ad hoc prepared naan is always available in-house!

The staff is sometimes unfriendly and the opening times are not adjusted properly - I just had to send a suggestion to Google myself

The food is excellent. Fresh ingredients deliciously prepared. The staff are attentive and very friendly. Indian music plays unobtrusively in the background and it is attractively decorated without being overwhelming. You can sit inside or outside. Very cozy. We always enjoy coming here.

Unfortunately, the lunch buffet is not recommended. A little over a year ago we were there often - back then the food (although at €10 per person it was even €2 cheaper than today) was much better and more authentic. When we visited in March 2024 we were very disappointed. The only two meat dishes (mango chicken & chili chicken) were in a very sweet sauce; Unfortunately it wasn't Indian at all but more along the lines of "Uncle Ben's Sweet Mango Sauce". Overall, a very bland meal that tasted like a ready meal. The service wasn't very friendly either. It's a shame - we won't visit again!

Bright, pleasant atmosphere, friendly and attentive service. Plenty of selection of delicious dishes, you can “adjust” the spiciness. Coming back is noted.

Ordered in! I must admit: the best palak Panneer I've had in Frankfurt. Paneer was fresh and super soft, reminded me of Delhi :)

Very tasty food with a pleasant spiciness and tender chicken. The Namaste Naan was also very tasty. The service was friendly. The food came very quickly after ordering. We would love to come back to try more things.

We always like to take advantage of the changing lunch buffet. We particularly enjoyed the masala chicken and the tandoori chicken on our last visit, but the lentils are also recommended. The naan is excellent and the service is always friendly.

A very wonderful place - we often come for Mittagsbuffet ... it has slightly increased from 9,90 to 11,90 which feels very fair for what we get which a full flash Lunch with breadbasket , Salad and Desert plus veg and non-veg option 😀 its advisable to come earlier as food is more fresh obviously.

Nice waiter, but the amount of curry u get is not enough to mix it properly with the rice in a way that u don’t have to eat half of the rice dry. Chicken was quit dry too. :/

Super lecker und sehr fix! Haben heute Chicken Palak zum Mitnehmen bei Indian Lounge geholt. Das Essen war super schnell fertig, preislich war es super fair, und die Portion war auch gut. Bei Abholung gibt es 10% Rabatt. Das Essen hatte eine gute Würze und war insgesamt echt lecker! Super toll, dass es in Frankfurt auch noch bezahlbare indische Restaurants gibt, die qualitativ überzeugen. Und das im Nordend. Top!

I recently dined at the Indian Lounge, and I must say that I was disappointed with the quality of the food. Specifically, the kharai paneer lacked flavor and was devoid of the usual aromatic spices that are expected in this dish. It was bland and did not meet my expectations. Furthermore, the dhaal makni, which is typically a rich and spicy lentil dish, was prepared with cheap substitute ingredients and lacked the desired depth of flavor. Instead of being spicy, it had an unexpected sweetness to it, which was not pleasant. On a slightly positive note, the pakoras served at the Indian Lounge were okay. They were crispy and had a decent texture, but they did not make up for the disappointing main dishes. The service at the Indian Lounge was average. While the staff members were polite and attentive, it did not compensate for the subpar food. The lack of attention to detail in the preparation of the dishes was evident, and it left a lot to be desired. Overall, my experience at the Indian Lounge was unsatisfactory. The lack of flavor and proper execution of the dishes, specifically the kharai paneer and dhaal makni, was disappointing. While the pakoras were passable and the service was average, it was not enough to salvage the overall dining experience. I would hesitate to recommend the Indian Lounge based on my experience with the quality of the food.

Sehr nettes indisches Lokal, super aufmerksamer Service und vor allem leckere Speisen. Es ist sehr sauber und der außen Bereich scheint neu und ist gepflegt. Zu Beginn wurde uns ein Gruß aus der Küche gebracht. Die Speisen sind auf Nachfrage Halal und das Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis sehr angebracht. Wir kommen daher bald sehr gerne wieder.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Schmeckt allerdings nicht authentisch indisch, was aber nicht negativ gemeint ist. Würden wir nochmal machen.

Ein sehr leckeres Restaurant. Haben jetzt schon häufig dort bestellt und waren nie enttäuscht. Ist sehr empfehlenswert.

A very good restaurant. Been there in a group. So polite and welcoming service. Food was delicious. The biriyani however wasn't up to the mark, but rest other dishes really tasty. Great ambience. Visit if you are nearby.

Tolles Mittagsbuffet. Mich freut besonders, dass die Gerichte beim Buffet abwechseln, so kann man immer wieder etwas neues probieren. Geschmacklich sehr gut und top Preis.

FEATURING A SUMPTUOUS AUTHENTIC INDIAN BUFFET IN A WONDERFUL PRISTINE AMBIANCE, IT WAS A TREAT SEEING GERMANS GOING BACK & BACK & BACK FOR 3 SERVINGS. WE WERE BLESSED THAT THE KIND & EXPEDIENT STAFF IS LED BY A PASSIONATE SIKH GENERAL MANAGER, THAT ASSURES THAT ALL THE GUESTS EXPECTATIONS ARE MET. THE INDIAN LOUNGE MERITS OUR ******* SALUTE!!!

Mein „Lieblings-Inder“ in Frankfurt! Das Essen isr sehr gut, authentisch und vor allem verhältnismäßig leicht (finde ich bei anderen indischen Restaurants manchmal sehr schwer). Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und die Preise gerade für Frankfurt absolut fair. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Die perfekte Mittagspause. Super leckeres und fein gewürztes Essen im Buffet- Stil mit großer vegetarischer Auswahl zum unschlagbaren Preis. Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Eine echte Bereicherung für das Nordend!
