India goes Sachsenhausen. The food is excellent, quality and taste are high quality and finely tuned. There is a large selection of different dishes. We had a starter which was quite filling and three different main courses which all had completely different flavors and were all deliciously prepared. Nicki, the boss, took a lot of care to make sure everything was ok for us, created a fun atmosphere and fulfilled all our wishes. Thanks to the heat holders we were able to eat in peace and the portions stayed hot until the end. We had a wonderful evening and really enjoyed our visit! Many thanks to Bonbay Palace. We would love to come back.

The Bombay Palace was on our list for a long time due to the very good reviews and last Friday we finally managed to visit the restaurant. Unfortunately we were massively disappointed. First of all - kudos to the owner, who managed the service including drinks the whole evening with an average of 15 tables all by himself - not everyone can do that. But this also meant that everything felt a little more stressful, took longer and the used glasses piled up in high towers on the counter behind us. His appearance was a bit shabby (holey jeans that hung way too low) and somehow we didn't quite warm to his sense of humor. The decoration is a bit macabre in places (wooden figures with oversized breasts) and you only get shiny polyester napkins. 🤷🏼‍♂️ On the culinary side: The lamb tikka masala sauce was good, but the meat was extremely hard and tough, riddled with tendons and simply inedible, so we unfortunately had to complain about it. Since I was in the mood for lamb, I thought I couldn't go wrong with the Seekh Kebab, but you could also taste the poor quality of the minced meat because it was also full of tendons. Ice-cold samosas were served at the table next door, which were also complained about, so it doesn't seem to have been an isolated incident in our case. I therefore cannot understand the 4.8 stars and therefore unfortunately cannot recommend the Bombay Palace with the best will in the world.

We discovered this restaurant through the voucher book and had an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and the owner, Nico, was incredibly friendly, making us feel very welcome. The service was quick, and we really appreciated the little details, like the warm plates. We tried the butter chicken, lamb Bombay, and mango lassi—all of which were fantastic! The mango lassi, in particular, was especially delicious. In my opinion, this is the best Indian restaurant in Frankfurt! Highly recommend this place!

We spontaneously visited the restaurant on a Friday evening without a reservation. We were lucky and a place could be organized for us (so the recommendation is to reserve a place). The food was very tasty and the portions were very large. The service was also very good and attentive. The service was very funny and the highlight for us was the mango schnapps at the end. We'd love to come back! A chance visit turned out to be a real stroke of luck!
