Swaad - The Indian taste in München

I like. Good service. Good food like in the other restaurants.

I want to complain about the receptionist’s rude behavior. I mentioned an issue with the food packaging, but he blamed the delivery person. When I asked for the owner’s contact, he told me to find it myself. Being rude can drive customers away. Please change your behavior, or you will lose more customers. I will not visit this restaurant again because of such unprofessional service.

I ordered butter chicken and unfortunately it was the worst butter chicken I've had in a long time (although I could barely eat any of it). In my opinion the chicken was undercooked. I didn't like the sauce at all - and was very far from the familiar taste of butter chicken sauce. I paid €20 for the dish and Garlic Naan (which wasn't good either) and it definitely wasn't worth it!

Ordered delivery from Uber Eats. The chicken in chicken sukka smells as if it was old, and some parts were undercooked. Please keep a quality check on delivered items, already encountered it twice so far.

Was recommended to this restaurant. It was just perfect...Garlic Naan was an A+ and Mutton Vindaloo as well...Service was a bit overwhelmed because there were a lot of pre-orders but it wasn't that bad! I'll definitely come back :))

Worst food delivery experience ever!! Never ever again from here. I ordered food, and it took over two hours to arrive. The owner gave false information, saying the delivery was "on its way," but it wasn’t even dispatched. My calls went unanswered, and I received no updates. To top it off, the food was average and delivery guy was arguing instead of admitting the mistake. Extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and service. I will not be ordering from here again.

The maharashtrian food is tasty, especially the chicken and mutton options

The food was delicious! Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area. The staff was friendly and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. The restaurant is a bit small, but we got there early and it was no problem finding a spot. They have a lot of options to choose from on the menu.

Very tasty, authentic cuisine. In winter you have to dress warmly. The best Mango Lasi we have ever tasted. The naan bread is fantastic! The food is incredibly good, after which you will never be able to eat in an Indian restaurant again. We will never dine anywhere else again!

I wanted to order lamb, NOT spicy, to take away, 12.30pm. After a long conversation with the young man at the counter, I had the impression that it should work. I waited in the small, very loud room (noise from the kitchen), occupied by two people, for about 15 minutes, received my package, paid and drove home. Now it comes: - the lamb was with flax - the sauce was SO HOT that unfortunately I couldn't eat it with the best of intentions!!! - i.e. the young man didn't understand anything when he ordered!!! - I won't eat there anymore 😬 You have to come up with something for the new restaurant in Berg am Laim - IF YOU WANT TO BE SUCCESSFUL. Very good food. Very well attended. Service was a bit planned, but still friendly. Our reservation was forgotten, which ended with a table at the front door. This feels like it opens every few seconds. You should know that it is not a classic Indian restaurant. It is designed more for to go and has a snack character. If you adjust to it, it also has its charm. The food was great, that's the most important thing.

We ordered by phone and were told it would take 20 minutes for pickup. We then had to wait another 30 minutes on site. Unfortunately, when we got home we discovered that half of the order was missing. The food tasted good, unfortunately the service was a disaster.

Best Indian food ever! The meat is always perfectly tender and super tasty. We regularly order to be picked up and go to the restaurant ourselves. We've never had anything not taste good and we've probably tried half the menu.

The food is outstanding. It feels exactly like eating in India. Mutton sukha is just the best and combination it with fried rice is something I would suggest. They even outdone themselves in chats. Been here to this place more than 5 times and the taste is always the same.

To be honest i was starving for the authentic, delicious indian food specially proud maharashtrian food my hunt was stopped at swaad. I really enjoy the food and bhakhri taste extreemly good for a sec i thought i was in india. Few dish i personally liked and will recommed you guys are mutton curry, gobi manchuria and veg as well and for non veg lovers i really suggest hyderabadi chicken dum biryani bang on… those who are in munich must visit swaad for those who are not they are missing many things….

For Vegetarian only. I specially went there to satisfy my vadapav craving. After going through lot of restaurant i found this one providing authentic vadapav as shown in photo. Their menu mentions maharashtrian specialty dishes and i believe they would also be as good as authentic dishes. I recommend to try any dish. Papri chaat was okay not too good. I felt while serving the person looked jot happy serving to us i do not know why.

Ordered Butter Chicken here yesterday via Uber Eats. We noticed from the first piece of meat that it tasted strange and stopped eating it. It didn't help, my husband still hung out in the bathroom all night with nasty food poisoning. Never again! I'm so glad I didn't eat any of it.

Food is very well priced and tasty. I don't really eat Indian food that often, but every time I eat here I am definitely satisfied and always don't have to pay that much compared to other indian restaurants in downtown Munich. Overall mango chicken and the samosas are my favorites to order from here.

Never judge a book by its cover! Even if the dining room doesn't look very inviting from the outside, the food is extremely tasty!

Quiet Thursday evening. Food was very good. Vindaloo was perfect and the rogan, slightly too salty for a non German pallet. Second best curry I've had in Munich over the last 5 years.

We waited 10 minutes for the waiter in an empty restaurant. We didn't know the name of a certain dish that we had previously eaten, so we showed the waiter the photo (where Hanchen's breast was clearly visible). He then brings us thighs and legs. But later he replaced it and he doesn't bring us finished meat.

The food was amazing, and a really good choice of items that are not on the standard Indian restaurant menu in Germany. We ordered too many dishes as so many things sounded delicious, but we were able to take what we couldn't eat home with us. If you ordered less it'd be cheaper per person than we paid! The staff were very friendly. The restaurant was furnished very simply, but the food was exceptional.

Great food, lots of dishes that you can't find anywhere else in Munich. But the plates were very cold and everything was very crowded.

The first time I visited, the food was great, but this time it was disappointing. It seems like the shape or preparation method has changed, which has affected the quality of the food. Even the atmosphere was unpleasant— the restaurant was too cold, and the heater wasn’t working. I hope the owner sees this feedback and works on maintaining the food quality and fixing the heating issue.

According to craving of hunger one should visit to swaad restaurant in pasing because i visited there with my friends.we ordered veg kofta , matar paneer , veg biryani for myself and mutton curry and chicken sukka for my friends. The food was really very tasty. There service was superbbb and staff was very well mannered and well behaved with us and i recommended to everyone to visit here because swaad restaurant serve authentic Maharashtrian food. The most mouth watering thing that i got from here is mathha😘😘😘😘 😘i have never tasted this much delicious mathaa before,this was really very Superbbb . One should come to here to eat.

The quality of food is very low standard

Probably my favourite Indian restaurant in Munich. They have many vegetarian options and spices always feel perfect complementing each other. Last time I ordered Paneer Butter Masala and they asked how spicy I want it (I don’t enjoy too spicy food) and they got it perfectly balanced. Just note that the venue is quite small (~7 tables) so you should go either earlier than anyone else or try to book. They also have great delivery. Did so many orders already. Also, not need to order extra rice cause it’s already included with most of the meals. But I think garlic naan is a must!

Food is really good. Especially Indo-Chinese dishes are amazing. Affordable and at the same time a really happiness to people craving Indian food.

We're still waiting for our order and a glass of water. The food was the only thing that was good. There are 5 tables in the whole restaurant but it takes 45+ minutes to take an order. We ordered 3 main dishes (every dish should come with rice) but we got 1 small portion of rice plate. Upon requesting more rice, it took them more than 30 minutes to acknowledge our request. By the time we had already lost our appetite.

This is one my go to restaurants in Munich if I want to eat something besides curry. Vada pav here is very good, it can compete with any Vada pav stall in India. The chat options here are pretty good compared to some other places in Munich. For the eggetarians reading try their egg curry simply the best in Munich. Chicken curry here is my go to, it's hardly ever been a miss in this place. Most of the maharashtrian food here is pretty good if you're into that taste. Personally, being from the north of India I am hardly impressed by any of the curries in Munich but this place does them justice. They can have a bad day once in a while when it's pretty late in the evening, so I would suggest you to try to be early. The ambience of the place isn't that great, it's not for a great evening but to eat your heart out.

Good place Incase you crave Indian food. Catering Indian spicy food according to expectations. But very slow service. Waited for 20 mins just for someone to take an order, restaurant wasn’t even crowded at that time.

Really amazed to see the quality of food. I would advised everyone to visit. We had Vada pav and misal pav, it gave me the best taste which I had back in Mumbai.

Highly disappointing. Manchurian didn't taste fresh. Misal was extremely oily and was not looking edible, so had to return it. Samosa chaat was also okayish. Had heard some good reviews about this restaurant, but won't visit here again. They need huge improvements.

We have been here after October fest with big hunger and they didn’t tool long to serve us even with rush hour of weekend. Food was delicious with fast service, specially Marathi test. We are vegetarian and there are plenty of vegetarian options available.

This is the place to go if you are looking for some authentic Maharashtraian food in Munich. We went on Friday night at around 7 pm. Resturant was almost full by that time, we got a table in 5 mins. Menu is good, Maharastrian specialisties are clearly marked. We ordered Veg Manchuria, Misal Pav, Mutton Kharda and Mathha(Chaas). All the food items very delicious. Highly recommended

Yummy yummy the real taste of India

After a long day trip, my husband and I decided to bring home some biryani for dinner. We visited Swaad Restaurant around 8 p.m., where my husband ordered the Hyderabad Chicken Dum Biryani. We waited for a while outside, and when I went in to check on the order, it was ready. The price was €13.50, and we were excited to try the food. While the chicken pieces were large and flavorful, we felt the portion of rice could have been more generous. One of the pieces of chicken and some of the rice were a bit overheated and smelled bad, which affected the overall experience. My husband, unfortunately, didn’t enjoy his dinner as much as we had hoped. We understand that these things can happen from time to time, and we look forward to visiting again with the hope of a better experience. Thank you, and we hope you consider this feedback to improve future orders!

Loved the chicken sukka (good Maharashtrian masala) and Mattha( drink). Ambience should be improved for sure. Prices are reasonable too.
