From the first moment you notice that the work here is done with passion, authenticity and attention to detail. I've tried a lot of Indian restaurants in Munich, but Indian Bites definitely stands out - in every respect. Ambience & Atmosphere: As soon as you enter, you are greeted by a warm, modern and at the same time traditionally inspired atmosphere. The furnishings are tastefully chosen - not overloaded, but with enough details to make the Indian culture noticeable. Subtle Indian music in the background rounds the whole thing off perfectly without being intrusive. Service: The service is absolutely top class. Friendly, attentive, professional and at the same time warm - you really feel valued as a guest. The employees take their time, explain individual dishes if necessary, give recommendations and ensure that you feel completely at home. The food – the star of the evening: Every dish was on point. You can simply taste that fresh ingredients are used here - no ready-made sauces, no compromises. The spices are finely balanced, intense but not overpowering. I would particularly like to highlight: • Butter Chicken: Incredibly tender chicken in a creamy, perfectly balanced tomato-cashew sauce. Slightly sweet, subtly spicy – ​​simply heavenly. • Paneer Tikka: Homemade cream cheese marinated in yogurt and spices, grilled to perfection. Slightly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside – that's how it has to be. • Lamb Vindaloo: For those who like things spicy – ​​this dish delivers! But despite the intense spiciness, the taste remains complex and multi-layered. No cheap “chilli over it”, but real skill. • Naan & Biryani: The naan is fresh from the tandoor, fluffy and crispy at the same time. The Biryani – light, aromatic, with saffron and perfectly cooked meat. Every bite is a pleasure. Drinks & Desserts: The homemade lassis (especially mango!) are creamy and pleasantly refreshing. The Masala Chai is also a highlight – strong, spicy, with just the right amount of sweetness. For dessert, the Gulab Jamun is a must – warm, soft, sweet, perfect! Price-performance: Absolutely fair! The portions are generous, the quality is high, and the taste is excellent. For what you get, the price is more than justified. Conclusion: For me, Indian Bites is now THE top address for Indian food in Munich. If you want to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine at the highest level, you should definitely stop by here. Whether for a relaxed dinner, a date or a meal with friends - this restaurant delivers a little celebration every time. We were there for lunch. The food is very tasty, but the service is not good at all. We were interrupted several times during our conversations by the staff. Suddenly the waiter stood there and wanted to charge us even though there was still food at the table. The restaurant was half empty, so there was no shortage of space in sight. We felt very unwelcome and unwelcome.

Very nice service, very tasty food, value for money recommended! Unfortunately, unsightly lighting, bright ceiling floodlights, not very cozy. They play Indian music, great, but it could be quieter and not so hectic during dinner. Please no stressful music with your meal and table lamps would be my advice, then it will be my favorite restaurant in Munich. I eat out a lot, always with lots of friends. Maybe you can fulfill my request.

We were there for lunch during the week. The selection was quite small (which is generally ok), but there was no vegan option, which is rather unusual for an Indian restaurant. It tasted very good. Unfortunately, we had the impression that the staff were happy when we left because the bill was brought out during the meal (without us asking for it). During the meal, half of the dining room was rearranged, which was very disturbing. The price for a business lunch is also in the upper segment.

My absolute favorite place 🤩 with a large group or a date, a beautiful restaurant with friendly staff and incredibly delicious food! Always happy 🤗

So far I have always ordered my standard Indian food, but in “India Bites” I dared to try something new and was very pleasantly surprised. The store was busy, so it was a little noisy (but that didn't bother us), but the atmosphere was cozy and warm. The welcome was very friendly and the waiters responded very kindly to special requests. Recommended! :)

It was just great! Mega starter, delicious main course and reasonable prices (0.75 liters of mineral water e.g. €5.50). Service was also great and the food came quickly! They just forgot the sauce for me. The naan 🫓 was also highly recommended!

The food was nothing special. To be honest, we expected more, at least from the reviews I read. But this can be compensated by good service, which was sadly lacking. Even after we ordered our starters I was debating whether to order a main course at all because the waiter was quite insistent that it be done quickly because it was easier for the chef. If you will believe it, but dishes and plates were thrown on the table with a crash. My dish was even slightly burnt. The night before we had dinner at the May Vietnamese restaurant next door on the same street where everything was TOP from the food to the service everything was perfect and we really felt special. If someone like us is hesitating where to eat, I highly recommend May Vietnamese restaurant. We personally would visit May Vietnamese restaurant countless times and never Indian Bites again.

Indian Bites is easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had—definitely in my top 10! The service, especially from Shiva, was absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. The food was spectacular, from the perfectly cooked naan bread to the flavorful tikka masala. Every bite was a delight. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for exceptional Indian cuisine!

Absolute favorite Indian. The food is always great and the team is super friendly. I often pick up there. Even if you have to wait a bit, you'll be offered a chai or something straight away. The portions are large and therefore it is absolutely inexpensive. Murgh Tikka and Butter Chicken are a MUST!!!

Versatile menu: in addition to the classics, there are also some street food options. Tastes great! The team is very friendly and quick. Modern minimalist interior, but a bit noisy as a result. Tip: The Chicken Madras Curry is very tasty if you like something spicier. Something different is, for example, the Soya Handi Curry with soy nuggets.

The ambience is very modern and stylish, very different from most other Indian restaurants. We felt comfortable there straight away. However, the food was average at best. It's a shame, we expected more from the reviews.

Lecker. Super. Excellent. I've eaten at quite a few Indian restaurants around the world. This would be among the top. The quality is excellent, and more importantly, the spices are on point. Sometimes you can taste the grit of cheap curry powder at some restaurants. This was perfectly blended. The service was excellent and nice decor in the restaurant. If I had to critique one item, and it's a stretch, the three pepper symbol, indicating the hottest dish, was not that hot. I think it was perfect, but I know it can get spicier. Support this gem of a restaurant!

This was our second time at Indian bites on Heimeranstrasse and we like it. It's not too big, atmospherically it's not a copy-paste from the many other Indian restaurants. We had vegetarian Manchurian (cauliflower) which was excellent, a touch too spicy for me but we are also very sensitive. My partner had the vegetarian mushrooms, also very good, and less spicy. Prices are totally okay and the staff is extremely friendly and competent.

Excellent service from Ashish and Shivam. Welcoming and cozy ambience. We received excellent advice from the waiter on both our cocktail and wine choices. The food was excellent! The Hara Bhara Kebab (vegetarian) was heavenly as was the paneer masala. It's worth a visit and we'll keep coming back.
