Leckeres Essen und gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Sind nicht das erste Mal hier, und sicher auch nicht das letzte Mal. Es gibt auch eine umfangreiche Mittagskarte.

Vorspeise 17 Blumenkohl war richtig gut aber von den 4 Hauptspeisen waren wir eher enttäuscht. 2 wurden sehr scharf bestellt und waren letztendlich überhaupt nicht scharf. Butter Chicken war relativ langweilig und das 4. Essen war gut.

Lieferung über UberEats hat zwei Stunden gedauert und kam leider kalt an. Qualität war in Ordnung, aber für Lieferung nicht empfehlenswert. Sehr schade!

Seit langem Mal wieder richtig gutes indisches Essen. Zartes Fleisch, kräftige Saucen und das Naan war ne tolle Mischung aus fluffig und gnatschig. Gebau richtig! Gerne wieder.

Hervorragendes Biriyani, Vorspeise (Honey Chili Cauliflower) war auch sehr lecker, Butter Naan köstlich, sehr netter Service. Jederzeit wieder.

Das Butter Chicken war - wie immer - perfekt und zur Überbrückung der Wartezeit gab es auch noch ein gratis Getränk.

Das Essen war hervorragend. Ich hatte extra scharfes Kadai-Hähnchen bestellt und es war perfekt. Auch das Knoblauch-Naan war reichlich mit Knoblauch belegt. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Seitdem es neu geöffnet hat ist es nochmal viel besser als vorher. Ich habe selten so gutes Naan und Roti gegessen. Außerdem gibt es veganes Butter "Chicken" und veganes "Chicken" Tikka Masala, das war so unglaublich gut. Wo gibt es das schon! Also: Chapeau! Das Personal ist nicht das schnellste, es waren aber alle freundlich und bemüht. Ich komme wieder!

Während unseres Aufenthalts in der Nähe des Münchner Hauptbahnhofs entdeckten wir das indische Restaurant Surahi über Uber Eats und waren begeistert. Wir bestellten Chicken Jalfrezi und Chicken Tikka Masala, beides war geschmackvoll, aromatisch und absolut authentisch. Die Hauptgerichte werden mit Reis serviert, was sehr praktisch ist, und die Portion ist perfekt für eine Person. Wir probierten auch das Knoblauch-Naan und das Butter-Naan, die beide weich und köstlich waren. Es hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir am nächsten Tag gleich wieder bestellt haben. Der Service war ebenfalls sehr freundlich – als wir nach ein paar rohen Zwiebeln für einen einfachen Salat fragten, bekamen wir sie kostenlos dazu, was eine sehr nette Geste war. Ich habe ein paar Fotos hinzugefügt, aber bitte beurteilt das Essen nicht anhand dieser Bilder – ich war so mit dem Essen beschäftigt, dass ich vergessen habe, richtige Fotos zu machen 😄 Insgesamt: großartiges Essen und toller Service. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert, wenn ihr in München seid und Lust auf indische Küche habt.

Warten seit fast 2 Stunden auf eine Bestellung über UberEats (angebende voraussichtlich späteste Lieferzeit bei Bestellung war 19:15). Keinerlei Kontakt oder Update über die App. Einfach eine Frechheit - wenn keine Zeit für App Bestellungen ist wegen vollen Restaurant dann bitte einfach nicht anbieten.

Das Essen war insgesamt okay – geschmacklich nicht ganz mein Fall, aber schön angerichtet. Der Service war ausgesprochen zuvorkommend, offen und sehr freundlich. Besonders gut fand ich das frisch servierte Brot und die dazugehörigen Dips – wirklich lecker! Insgesamt ein angenehmer Besuch.

Wir bestellen schon zum 5 mal bei Lieferando und das Essen ist gut. Leider ist die Lieferung jedes mal mit großen Verspätung gekommen, ohne einzige Ausnahme. Letztes mal war die Verspätung nur eine halbe Stunde, heute warten wir auf unser Essen seit 1h 40min und das lohnt sich nicht mehr. Also das war auch unsere letzte Bestellung bei euch.

Das Essen ist insgesamt gut, auch das Knoblauch-Naan. Vor ein paar Monaten gab es ein Problem mit einer falschen Zahlung, aber das wurde sofort gelöst, was wirklich sehr nett von ihnen war.

The food and atmosphere were also excellent. The waiter even presented me with a very hot plate, steaming as a little show, and warned me that it was hot. I think that's not something you do often. The people were just a bit odd and reserved. I know that feeling. They probably come from a less desirable area. Nevertheless, thank you very much. I really liked the music and the decor.

The food arrived lukewarm, three hours after ordering and only after several phone calls. But luckily, they gave us a bottle of Coke as compensation, which of course saved the evening.

A delicious experience! I was tempted by the reviews and I wasn't disappointed! We've ordered takeout from here three times, and each time it's been fantastic! Huge portions, fresh ingredients, and dishes full of flavor and spice. Fast delivery and fair prices – I'm saving it to my favorites and will be back 😍👌

Best chicken tikka masala in Munich

A good new opening, especially the grilled dishes are highly recommended. I ordered spicy, but it was rather mild. But hey, they probably want to be careful. The spot where we sat wasn't exactly nice either, right across from the restroom and where plates were laid out and napkins were arranged; there are certainly nicer places to sit. The garlic naan is also highly recommended. They also have some vegan dishes with soy chunks, very cool! Overall, all the dishes had a rather sweet or fruity touch for me, but they were still delicious. I can definitely recommend it.

Unfortunately, the food was not delivered again.

Ordered here multiple times for delivery - always massively delayed. When called they give you fake timelines until the food is supposed to arrive, only for them to maybe send it out then. Took >2h until they finally told us that they don’t have drivers available and we forced them to cancel the order.

I had lunch, soup with lamb curry. I ordered spicy, and it was similar to the spicy food I'd get in India. Very tasty, very fresh, great spices, and very friendly service. What more could you want? I'll definitely be back.

The spicy food is highly recommended. I'm out of practice, but I ate spicy food every day as a small child, and you don't forget that. Unfortunately, people here aren't used to it, and the restaurants adapt to that, especially if you're German. I ordered saffron chicken and, as a test, wrote that I wanted the spice level to be as high as the chef recommends for the dish, and that if it's spicy, I can handle it. The result was wow. Intense heat with a kick, but still full, broad flavor. Very good, I'm happy :)

THIS RESTAURANT IS A SCAM! We ordered food via Lieferando and they accepted the order and the food never arrived. They have provided a fraudulent number on the platform which does not even work, they are absolutely pathetic and I have opened a formal complaint against them as well. DO NOT ORDER from them and save yourself the hassle.

So this was a very mixed experience. We ordered at Surahi via Uber Eats. Estimated time of arrival was 7:55-8:15pm. The order hasn’t arrived at 8:30pm, so we tried to call the restaurant. At first, no one answered the phone. After trying several times, finally someone answered and just left us waiting while talking to other customers who apparently had the same problem. After another 5 minutes of waiting in line, they asked us about the order details and said the courier should already be on his way. They then told us that they are trying to call the courier and will call us back in 5 minutes. Then they just hung up. Meanwhile it’s 8:45pm and still no info was provided, no calling back, no order. They never called back. The order did eventually arrive at 8:55pm. That was the bad part of the experience. The good thing: the food was very delicious, perfectly seasoned, and plenty. So in general I’d totally recommend, but the service that evening was just not good.

We've eaten at Surahi several times and have usually been rewarded with very tasty dishes. The prices are fair and reasonable. The service is generally good, although it could be a bit more cordial on some days. Overall, a highly recommended restaurant that we would happily return to.

Lunch specials are always very tasty, inexpensive and recommended!!!! However, I didn't think dinner was that good. The furnishings in the basement are cozy! The outdoor terrace is just makeshift right on Hohenzollernplatz with little space.

Service was the worst. However the food was great and the place is decent. —edit with further details— When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty. We requested to sit at a table with six seats along the wall, which was initially refused. Later, after moving to a smaller table as instructed, we were told we could move back to the original table — a confusing and unnecessary back-and-forth that did not make us feel welcome. We ordered two main dishes and had a valid reservation using a voucher, which had no requirement to order drinks. Despite that, the server repeatedly insisted we order a beverage, implying the restaurant would not benefit otherwise. We politely declined, but the pressure continued, making the dining experience uncomfortable — especially when it carried over into the payment process. Regarding the thermal bottle mentioned in your reply: it was not a Lidl water bottle, nor were we ever asked to remove it. It was a sealed thermal flask containing coffee, placed on the table to avoid potential leakage into a backpack carrying a laptop. We were never approached or warned about this during our visit, so referencing it now in a public comment feels unfair and inaccurate. We were looking forward to enjoying your food — which was indeed good — but the overall experience was negatively impacted by how the service was handled. I hope this feedback is taken constructively to help improve the experience for future diners.

The food was good, but the service manager was unprofessional and rude. He initially refused to honor the discount from our reservation through TheFork app and clearly did not want to follow the company’s policy. Only after I threatened to file a complaint via email did he agree to apply the discount. This kind of behavior is unacceptable for a restaurant that wants to be seen as respectable. I do not recommend visiting this place.

30% of the order was not delivered in an almost empty store. Taste ok but not amazing. Local is around Keller.

Hidden gem in the heart of Schwabing!! Great choice of tasty dishes for all, particularly appreciated the large choice of vegan/vegetarian meals. Cozy atmosphere and nice decor, especially after the recent renovation. Service was very good and waiters friendly. Will definitely come back!

We were here for the first time today and we were really impressed. Very nice service, the food came quickly and what can I say, gigantic. So delicious and fresh. Wonderfully seasoned. For us the best Indian in Munich so far.

I've been there twice so far and was very surprised by the good quality! A little different dishes on the menu, nice vegan options, but above all the taste is really comparable to the few very good Indian restaurants in Munich.

I was very disappointed. Eating something so-so. If you want to eat cheaply it's ok, so you shouldn't expect much from the food. There are better Indian restaurants in Munich. The employees are totally rude. I won't go there anymore...

For me this is the best Indian restoran in Munich! Authentic Indian, super delicious food and not overpriced. The waiters are very attentive and friendly. At the same time, the restaurant is very cozy and decorated with beautiful Hindu deities and devatas - that's definitely one of them for me. Everything is perfect! Unfortunately it has changed for the worse!!!! Firstly the new sign is not inviting, looks like a cheap ugly fast food restaurant!! Secondly, the new menu as well, not at all appealing. The worst thing is that the food no longer tastes particularly good, is oily and bland. The service is also no longer attentive and friendly as it used to be. I have eaten in this restaurant many times and the food has always tasted very good. Unfortunately I don't know what it is at the moment, but the food wasn't very tasty the last few times I was there and it doesn't come close to the food from a year ago. Unfortunately, the main course I had was little to no seasoning and couldn't really develop its flavor. Dishes, Paner Pakora, Mango Chicken and Naan Bread. Naan bread was super tasty just as it should be, paner pakora was also okay and tasted good but unfortunately my main course wasn't very good and didn't taste good. Let's get to the ambience: The atmosphere is actually very inviting. The individual tables are well positioned in their small niches and ensure cozy comfort. Unfortunately, some tables are not so visible. This means that the waiters actually have to stop by more often so that they can respond to the guests' wishes. Let's get to last night's service: Unfortunately this one wasn't good. I was welcomed and seated fairly quickly. That's a plus point. Another plus point was that I was asked very quickly what I wanted to eat. Unfortunately, when I chose my meal afterwards, I received a not so pleasant comment. Which I won't repeat. After this comment, I took a closer look at what kind of service I received. I noticed that the other tables kept asking if they were okay and if they needed anything else. Unfortunately that wasn't done for me. I also noticed that, for example, they had lit a candle for decoration, but unfortunately the Kallner didn't do that either. When it came time to pay, I saw the bill and didn't change the amount and didn't want to leave a tip because I wasn't generally happy with the whole situation. I also noticed that the other tables got a little attention in the form of a small shot of mangolassie or something and I didn't get that attention. Unfortunately, this waiter was very insistent on his tip and told me the amount twice in a row, the second time in a demanding tone, and when I asked for it and insisted on paying the amount, he said that the amount did not include the “service fee”. He wanted me to tip him. I said I would still like to pay the amount that was on the bill and payment was made. Then this waiter wasn't very enthusiastic and just left and didn't wish me a nice evening, no goodbye, nothing at all and just left. I'm usually used to good food and good service from this restaurant. Especially from the other waiters who have been working there for a long time. They already know me or know who I am because they said last time that I hadn't been there for a long time and they recognized me. Unfortunately my experience yesterday wasn't that great and I would like things to get better in general because I really enjoyed eating in this restaurant.

Really delicious Indian food at a great price! The lunch menu is amazing - price and performance are perfect. The naan bread is absolutely amazing. I wasn't a fan of Indian - but I've been there several times a week for the past 4 weeks. My husband also loves it and I always have to bring naan with me in the evening. Absolute recommendation. Simply excellent quality!

I went during lunch time. The weather was bad so we had to eat inside, but the restaurant has a spacious and stylish atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed. You can choose soup or salad at a reasonable price. There are many kinds of main curry. ...I was surprised that there was a dessert at the end. This is a restaurant I would like to recommend.

My favorite that I order from. As always, the butter chicken with cheese naan is worth the money and I can only recommend it to everyone.

Ok, I’m ordering second time through delivery service. And I find it well organized and delicious but I specified 3 different spicy 🌶️ levels but all dishes came none spicy. 🤷🏻‍♀️ but we got a complementary or accidental Naan ☺️

This had to be my worse experience ever when I used delivery my food didn’t arrive after I spent a load of money then when I call them they told me the man was there when I received no phone call or no signs of the food ariving and the man on the phone was so rude and uncomplient

Good daal makhani, good naan and overall good food. Could have been a little more spicy and less sweet but really can’t complain. It was a good Indian meal we ordered in and enjoyed.

There is no reason to deduct Stars here. Granted, it was not the absolutely best indian food I ever ate, but i also had far worse. We had Tikka Marsala and Butter Chicken with Naan and Rice, some drinks and were nicely full afterwards. Only thing was that we ordered indian spicyness and it was, hmm Medium european Chili Power. I guess thats better than transforming guests into Dragons and dealing with complaints. We made the Reservation via the fork, and the discount was initially not apllied. After telling the waiter again, however, everything worked out. So, 4.5 Stars, rounded up to 5, because thats how it is...

Ok for a spontaneous dinner, when in the Hohenzollernplatz area, otherwise quite a standard setting and offer of an “standard Indian restaurant in Munich” - portions are quite generous though. Plus point - they have Old Monk in stock, that supplements their creamy Palak Paneer just right. Service was friendly but rather uninterested as we were ordering and later waited for a check for 10 min with a very low occupancy overall.

I don’t usually write online reviews, but my experience has pushed me to do so - I may have still ignored the bad food, but the horrible and shameless attitude is something that really needs to be made known to public. With lot of respect for India and pride of Indian Values, I would strongly recommend to NEVER Take any other Foreign National with you to this restaurant, even if you ever tend to make a mistake of going yourself - we took a German Friend with us, trusting Google Rating and Reviews, and I can’t express the level of embarrassment as well as shame for my country I felt today. Food was stale, with terrible taste - not even a single item we ordered was worth eating. Since the moment we entered the restaurant till we left it, the owner was shouting or fighting loudly and we did not have even a slight second of peaceful dinner. Though we were not asked for the feedback, which is a usual courtesy of Hospitality Business, asking whether we liked the food/enjoyed our meal, my friend couldn’t resist herself from sharing it, not as a complaint but a very genuine & refined feedback as a fellow country mate. And this is where they crossed all the limit like - we won’t prepare rice freshly and serve no, of course it is made only once in the morning, and we put only raw onions in the gravies - I must mention here, rice tasted/smelled like a day old. Thank you, with a big laugh to my friend’s comment about food not being good. We couldn’t believe what we witnessed and we both drowned in a sea of shame in front of our German Friend. This is not the India that we wanted to represent to him - in fact these are not in any way the Culture and Values of India. I feel extremely sorry that such people bring so much shame to the whole country and I so regret that I picked-up this restaurant to give our friend an experience of Indian Cuisine. Worst taste. Don't represent this food as an Indian food. Please don't consider it as an Indian restaurant and go for Indian food. No where related to Indian cuisine. Nan tastes rejoicingly cold and dry. You have to eat your food on appetizer plates and drinks are not served either. The food is too salty and there is no service either. This restaurant is not recommended under any circumstances!!!

Visiting Munich and Order the food from here through Uber late on Sunday. Food was great! Service was good. However, upon delivery I was informed that the owner/restaurant keeps the tip left for delivery driver on the app and does not pass it on to the actual person doing the delivery.

We were extremely dissatisfied with the incredible waiting times and the indifferent way they were treated.

Best Indian in the area. Good price-performance. I am always amazed by the kitchen. Lots of excellent chicken dishes. But there is also a large selection of vegetarian and lamb dishes. I can particularly recommend the Chicken Madras (spicy). Every now and then a naan is forgotten and unfortunately the staff have to remind you of it. But that's the only shortcoming. Mistakes happen.

Be careful before ordering online. We waited two hours (!) for the food. Called and asked several times but was always rejected very rudely with the statement that it would now only take a maximum of 10 minutes - then it was still 45 minutes. Service and especially delivery time could really be better.

Unfortunately, service is terrible... Food didn't arrive for over 2 hours and the restaurant ignored most of our calls while we waited. At some point the driver (driver from the restaurant, not Lieferando or similar) arrived with completely cold food and didn't even apologize for the delay. In the end, the boss or something from the restaurant got in touch, but unfortunately he didn't show any insight when we complained about the hour-long wait and the cold food.

We arrived at 10:20 p.m., looked skeptical, but were urgently invited in. The waitress didn't seem enthusiastic, but what was brought was brought. Food (vegetarian thali for 2) was quite tasty, but the waitress suddenly brought the card terminal in the middle of the meal - you probably wanted to go home. Yes, it was 5 minutes before the end when he came, but the 10 minutes we still needed to finish eating could have been waited. Worst chicken tandoori I ever had. The chicken was not cooked properly and not tasting at all like a tandoori. The middle age waiter's behavior was also rude. Even though he was Indian himself and when I try to speak in Hindi/English he was answering in German. No hello hi or welcome from the waiter too. He was not happy seeing an Indian eating in an Indian restaurent whereas he was super nice with the germans. The only good thing was the gulab jamun and seating arrangement. Will never try again.

Lamb biryani is an embarrassment to Indian feast. As a Chinese lover of Indian food, I should be excited for my Indian friends. Maybe I ordered the wrong meal. But if you write biryani on the menu, please cook the food properly.
