Super leckeres Essen und ein toller Service - absolute Empfehlung!

Ich muss dort gelegentlich für meine Chefs Essen holen. Lange Wartezeit beim Abholen. Die Chefs klagen über "mickrige" Portionen. Und heute war dann auch noch Ungeziefer (ein mir unbekannten größeres Insekt) im Essen. :-(

Selten so geschmacklos gegessen!!Mittagsmenu Chicken Tikka ohne Gewürze,das muss man beim Inder erstmals hinkriegen.Reis mit Keramiksplitter drin,wurde ignoriert,bzw hingenommen("ich sage Koch"),Naan ,Teig ohne jeglichen Geschmack,alles war reinste Nahrungsaufnahme ohne Erlebnis, hätte auch Verpackungsmaterial essen können.Verstehe viele positive Bewertungen nicht,aber vielleicht schmeckts im teueren Abendgeschäft besser.Während des Essens wurde ich abkassiert und zweimal ermahnt,dass jetzt um 14.30 geschlossen wird.

wir waren zu zweit und haben schon sehr viele indische Restaurants ausgetestet. Dieses hier ist mit Abstand das beste, garlic chicken 1000/10 so so lecker!!! Die Mitarbeiter sind alle richtig richtig nett, wir haben sogar Mango Saft bekommen, auch eine 1000/10. würde ich immer wieder empfehlen

Wir essen hier unheimlich gerne! Sehr authentisch und immer lecker! Unbedingt das Mango-Lassi probieren!

Die Preise sind für München wirklich gut, das Essen ist köstlich und der Service hervorragend. Gegen 18-19 Uhr war es nicht überfüllt und laut.

Preiswertes Mittagsmenü mit gutem Indischen Essen

Mango Lassi 400 ml ist nicht schlecht!

Mittagskarte (Hauptgericht mit Salat oder Suppe) für €10,90. Für mich ist das einfach der Inder in München.

Waren auf Empfehlung im Internet dort - naja. Ambiente ok, nichts besonderes. Toiletten in desolatem Zustand und dreckig, auch Papier zum Händetrocknen fehlte während unseres Aufenthalts. Das Bier ist gut, die Fruchtschorle hingegen schmeckte langweilig und wurde ohne Eiswürfel serviert. Vorspeisen gut. Bei uns wurde leider eine Vorspeise vergessen und behauptet, wir hätten diese nicht bestellt. Nachbestellung hat sich aufgrund der langen Wartezeiten nicht mehr gelohnt. Zudem bekommt zwar jeder Tisch kostenlose Pappad (Linsenwaffeln), man kann diese jedoch auch für 3,50€ dazubestellen. In Unwissenheit hatten wir sie bestellt und keinen Unterschied zu Tischen gesehen, die sie aufs Haus bekommen hatten. Kellner meinte, es wären wohl mehr gewesen. Im Vergleich mit anderen Tischen war jedoch unseres Erachtens alles identisch. Die Bestellung hätte man sich auch sparen können. Qualität der Hauptspeisen war durchwachsen. Fleischmenge bei Tandoori-Gerichten sehr großzügig. Die Schärfe war jedoch überhaupt nicht vorhanden, und das bei einem Gericht, das laut Karte mittelscharf sein soll. Da waren selbst die Samosa (Vorspeise) VIEL schärfer. Geht gar nicht beim Inder.Zudem viel(!) zu wenig Soße. Mangocurry war geschmacklich gut und ebenfalls mit viel Fleisch, aber hatte teils knorpelige/fettige Hähnchenstückchen. Preise in Ordnung. War jetzt keine Vollkatastrophe, aber nochmal hingehen würde ich nicht.

Sehr gutes Essen, schönes Ambiente, faire Preise. Außerdem eine gute Auswahl vegetarischer/veganer Gerichte. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Alle Gerichte haben super lecker geschmeckt. Preis-Leistung sind absolut in Ordnung gerade auch weil man ganz entspannt mitten im Glockenbachviertel ist. Kein Szene-Gehabe sondern nur ehrliches gutes indisches Essen unter netten Nachbarn.

It was okay, the portions were good, but too bland for my taste and what I know from other Indian restaurants.

There was a very good selection of vegetarian dishes. The food was delicious all around. The staff was attentive and polite. We even received complimentary mango juice and papadums. We were able to reserve a table at short notice. Thank you for the lovely evening.

We were regular customers for 16 years, but never got the table we wanted when we made a reservation. The owner was very friendly when there, but the waiters were sometimes unfriendly and arrogant. It was the best Indian food in town after trying other restaurants, but the portions were smaller and the prices were overpriced. We will gladly avoid visiting in the future (see above). We don't want to share a door or restroom with other customers and then have to argue with incredibly unfriendly staff.

One of my favorite Indian restaurants in Munich. Cozy atmosphere, great food, and good value for money. We recently went there with a large group, and the restaurant is perfect for that. In the summer, they also have lovely outdoor seating.

The Palace of Winds is one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever visited. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by warm colors, authentic aromas, and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and they're happy to explain the dishes – perfect if you're having trouble deciding. The food is divine: fresh, aromatic, and perfectly seasoned. The Butter Chicken and Lamb Curry are particular highlights – tender meat in creamy, perfectly balanced sauces. The vegetarian dishes are also fantastic – the Paneer Tikka and the various dals are flavorful but not overly spicy. The freshly baked naan bread is fluffy and pairs perfectly with the sauces. The portions are generous, the prices are very fair, and everything is beautifully presented. The selection of drinks – from mango lassi to Indian beer – perfectly complements the experience. A thoroughly enjoyable evening filled with authentic flavors and genuine hospitality. I will definitely come back – the Palace of Winds is a culinary highlight for anyone who loves Indian food (or wants to discover it)!

Ambience & Atmosphere: Pleasantly quiet, yet lively enough to have a good conversation without the neighboring tables hearing everything. The decor is warmly lit and has a truly Indian feel – lots of colorful lights, playful details, overall very cozy. Soft music plays in the background, which fits well. The only thing that was a bit annoying was a frequent, loud ringing (sounded Indian somehow?) – no idea where it was coming from, maybe it was a decorative figure or something. Service: The staff was attentive and quick, but not particularly friendly – ​​more matter-of-fact, but professional. Food & Drinks: The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned! Both the vegetarian and meat dishes were really good. The salads are also recommended – though they could have done with a bit more modern presentation (it seemed a bit old-fashioned). The lassis were a real highlight! Conclusion: Good Indian restaurant with delicious food and a nice atmosphere. I'll be back!

Best restaurant we've ever been to. I've never experienced such friendly and attentive service, and the food was also excellent. The garlic naan is highly recommended! The value for money is almost unbeatable. I'd happily go back again.

I think the prices are more than fair for an Indian restaurant in this location; please don't change anything, because we'll be happy to come back 😊. I particularly like the hot plates; they're not absolutely necessary, but they have a nostalgic feel for me, and I like my food hot. Everything was great 😇.

My favorite dish at an Indian restaurant is butter chicken. It's best with a butter naan, which I then dip into the sauce. Delicious. And I especially like it here. Served with a refreshing mango lassi.

This restaurant, located in the heart of the Glockenbachviertel district, is a very good place for Indian food. We received friendly and attentive service throughout the evening. The restaurant, with its colorful lighting and striking decor, is comfortably furnished. There are also some outdoor seating areas. The selected dishes – vegetarian, chicken, and lamb – were delicious and filling. We had a pleasant evening and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The value for money is excellent.

Very pleasant and generous waiter

The quality of the food has declined dramatically. The onion rings were straight from the hairdryer and very greasy. The beer was lukewarm. The tandoori chicken was completely oversalted and very dry. They've apparently started using flavor enhancers recently; I still feel nauseous. The service was slow and boring.

We stopped by this restaurant on a rainy day on the recommendation of a colleague. Full of anticipation and excitement, we each ordered two dishes and the naan bread, which we never miss. When our food arrived, we knew it could only be good! The chicken vindaloo was a true feast for my palate, as was the chicken tikka, quite simple but perfect in its simplicity. Not dry, but very juicy. My companion's chicken bhuna was also excellent, but we have to note with the lamb tikka masala that we've had more tender lamb (so you shouldn't expect a "pulled pork" flavor here). As for the side dishes, the rice is great, plain rice but very well made. The garlic naan bread is a feast, and the standard version is also great, but everything quickly becomes "hard." A cloth or something similar to retain heat and moisture would be a dream. All in all, a truly wonderful visit with wonderful food! We enjoyed it very much and will definitely come back :)

Got a takeout. I was skeptical as most German Indian restaurants are designed for the German pallet which is Neanderthal at best. I ordered a lab vindaloo which is the benchmark for any Indian. It was one of the best I have ever had, including the ones I have made myself. Well worth it.

There are also some vegan options, and we were completely happy. It tasted absolutely delicious, and the prices are very reasonable, too.

There were six of us there. We had to wait about 80 minutes for our food, even though only a few tables were occupied. The long wait was neither understandable nor pleasant for us. Unfortunately, we get the impression that we were deliberately kept longer to make the restaurant seem more crowded. The food was mediocre.

I believe I am a well-travelled connoisseur of the various Indian cuisines; and I can only praise this restaurant for the quality of the food. Authentic flavours throughout - from the chicken tikka as a starter, which was juicy and with the perfect mix of spices. Definitely the best I had in an Indian restaurant outside India ! Our main courses were chicken biryani and chicken tikka massala. Again, we were amazed by the rich flavours that very few restaurants have to offer outside of India. These are typically the 2 dishes that enable you to rate an Indian restaurant, and they passed the test with flying colours. All in all, exquiste Punjabi-style dishes offering the real taste of Northern Indian cuisine. I can only recommend this property, and especially its kitchen brigade to Indian food lovers.

Really nice indian place with outside seating. The service is amazing. We have visited this place a few times in the evening for Chai and snacks. I can recommend the Chai and samosas here. The only wish here is that they have more vegetarian options especially in the starter category. Will come back here again mainly for how they treat us with a smile and hello each time.

Centrally located, always full and yet you can still find a place without a reservation, especially in the early evening. The food is varied, vegan, vegetarian, meat with different degrees of spiciness on request - everything is wonderful. We have been coming here for many years and have never been disappointed. Price performance is almost unique for Munich, but above all, super tasty and very friendly service!

The best Indian in Munich, our absolute favorite restaurant and in the city center! The food is excellent and the lunch menu (salad or soup + main course) costs less than €10. For groups of 2 or more there is also naan bread. It is highly recommended to go early at lunchtime, because shortly after 12 p.m. the restaurant is booming and is, so to speak, packed. It only becomes easier to get a place after 1 pm. The service is very quick and friendly.

Good food, but this one waiter who limps along doesn't say hello and goodbye. This is very inappropriate in a restaurant, even at the kiosk you are greeted. The fact that his facial expression looks rather grim is probably part of the reason.

Almost all Indian restaurants in Munich offer a very similar menu with dishes that are considered typically Indian in Germany. The diversity of a country like India, which is almost the size of Europe, is often ignored. Unfortunately, this restaurant is no different. The quality of the food was average. In particular, I find the standard dishes such as chicken masala or chicken korma to be rather average compared to other Indian restaurants in Munich and not sufficiently aromatic/spiced for my taste. Although the location is excellent and the prices are reasonable for this location, overall the service is not enough for me to eat here again.

For me, definitely one of the best Indians in Munich! The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The prices are absolutely fair for Munich standards. I visited this restaurant for the first time on my sister's recommendation and it did not disappoint. Especially butter chicken – flavorful and just the way I love it. I'll definitely be back!

Worst butter chicken I've ever had, I call it bodily harm, I don't remember eating there that much, but the butter chicken today was just broth with tomato sauce. Half a plate of it makes my stomach hurt. Definitely not recommended. Absolute disgrace
